xxxHannah had barely been awake and in the cage for five minutes before the guards returned and pulled her out roughly. It was her turn in the arena.

xxxAs Hannah was forcefully pulled out of her and Erin's cage, Valerie threw herself against the bars of her cell angrily. "Hey! Leave her alone!" This only resulted in a cattle prod to the chest, which left her sitting on her bed recovering as Hannah left the room. Damn!

xxxHannah was thrown roughly into the arena, leaving her to pick herself up off the floor as a couple big, brutish guards entered the arena and approached her. Hannah wasn't a fighter by any means. She never really had to defend herself, and certainly didn't stand a chance against these thugs. The beating that ensued was a very one-sided one. Hannah was mercilessly bludgeoned as she curled up on the ground, unable to get up under the impact of the blows. Very soon, though, a single thought would hit everyone in the holding room. Not just Nat with her telepathy, but everyone. It was a single, simple thought that sounded like Hannah. Help.

xxxVery shortly after, the scientists called a halt to the beating, clearly having picked something up on their instruments. Something that required a change of tactics to bring out fully. This test was over, thankfully. Picked up off the ground, Hannah was bandaged in a minimally acceptable manner and returned. When Hannah was finally dumped back into Erin's cage, covered in bruises and blood, the poor girl just remained limp. If this was what being here was going to be like, she wasn't sure she could survive it.

Erin had clung to Hannah when they tried to take her, this resulted in them pulling Erin out, throwing her on the floor, and beating her into submission. Once they were sure she was sufficiently put in her place they threw her back in the cage to recover while they did what they wanted to her sister. Erin finally broke down crying as she lay there in pain and worried for her sister. When Hannah was brought back limp and battered, something inside Erin snapped.

This stops -now-. She mentally growled. Taking quick stock of the devices holding them in there, Erin then set about disabling them. First was the line running into Nat. With a flash of light like an arc of laser the line was cleanly cut. The power lines running to the electrified caged were also severed in a rapid series of flashes. Erin's hands were glowing increasingly bright as she focused on doing all these things. Next, for the bars.

A jet of flame like the one she'd used before, but significantly hotter sprouted from her fingertip like a plasma-cutter. It took seconds before she was free and onto the others' cages. One by one she cut through the deadbolts on each of the cages. She looked each of them in the eyes. That look was determination and ferocity. She'd had enough.

Erin went back for Hannah and gently lifted her up and out of the cage. The extra weight pained the fox, but she was a girl on a mission now. As predicted, alarm bells had begun to sound, though a quick fireball into the corner of the holding room silenced the blaring alarm near them. Erin hoped she didn't need to say anything as she started walking towards the door.

Melanie was surprised to see her cage cut open by Erin. Was she hell-bent on getting killed?! Whatever. If now was her chance, she'd take it. Seeing that Erin was trying to take point -and- carry Hannah, Melanie decided to help. She walked to Erin and took Hannah from her. "Let me take her. You take point. I'll keep her safe, I promise." She says, giving Erin an firm nod and a look that said more than words ever could. She'd guard Hannah with her life. "Go, I'll be right behind you. Anyone else who is coming had better get their a** up now! We're -leaving-!" She yelled the last part to wake up anyone who might've missed the clue.

Aurora sighed as she was once again shut out by Adria. "Luna is a very pretty name for a very pretty puppy. Don't worry, I won't tell Mom or Dad. It'll be our little secret." She says with a little smile. "Is there anything you want to do with your big sister today?" She asks, hoping to bring Adria out of her shell at least a little.

xxxAs the group began their escape, blast doors throughout the facility closed and locked into position. These blast doors were designed withstand a much more than the doors the group had previously punched through like butter. Even as the blast doors restricted the groups movement, the vents in the area began to pump out a powerful paralytic, meant to knock out the groups' motor functions for easy recapture. This organization knew what they were doing.

Erin heard the hissing of gas from the vents and reacted quickly, masking each of the vents with miniature walls of fire to burn up the gas. We need to move -now-! She broadcasted to any telepaths in the area. The blast door was a problem, but not something she couldn't try to get through. Fire surrounded the enraged fox's hands as she blasted the door in front of her with intense heat. The door reddened, becoming softer and more pliable. The fox then used the blade of light she'd used before to cut through the softened metal, slicing a door through the door for everyone to go through.

She stepped through the door to figure out which way Nat and Ali had gone but was met with the sound of a shotgun being fired. She felt a sting, but nothing more. Figuring the person missed or just grazed her, she melted the gun in their hands and blinded them with a flash of light before motioning for the others to follow. She kept up a wall of fire in front of and behind the group, burning up gas as they walked. How long she could keep this up though, Erin had no idea.

She also had no idea that blood was pouring from her side into the bandages already in place. It likely wouldn't be visible to the other yet, but there was a strong smell of blood. The blood smell though could be coming from any of the killed or injured soldiers trying to hold them there. Taking no time to worry about it, Erin looked for a layout map of the building. Surprisingly, there was one up ahead. Erin rushed to it and chose their direction, motioning for the others to follow as she continued her gas suppression. The longer they lagged the more difficult this was going to be.

Melanie followed the fiery and frankly scary fox as she cleared the way. Melanie made sure to keep Hannah safe, surrounding the two in concrete walls that seemed to float and keep pace with them. "Hang in there, Hannah... we're going to be out of here soon." She says, pausing when she heard a gunshot, but pressing on when no one seemed to be injured. She looked back to see if Lawrence, the mood hair girl, and Valerie were with them.

xxxIf it seemed too easy, they were several stories underground, and when they had started pumping in the paralytic they had also shut off the ventilation. Combine that with all the fire Erin was using, and suddenly the air was getting alarmingly thin. Additionally, all routes up to higher floors were sealed with heavier blast doors then the one sealing off the various sections of the floor they were on. Even if they managed to get further up, the floor above them had already been flooded with a paralytic, and the only way in and out of the facility was sealed with a large blast door designed to withstand a nuclear blast. In all, the odds were starting to not look all that good.

Erin's breathing was becoming noticeably more labored as tunnel vision was now setting in. To make matters worse, her side felt wet. She dropped the fire act and put a hand on her side, feeling the warm wetness there. She checked her hand and paled a bit when she saw her hand coated in blood. Oh crap... She thought to herself. She took the advice of Nat and followed the flaming holes. Nat, the air is getting pretty thin... we need the ventilation back on or this is going to be the shortest escape ever. I can burn out the gas, but without air to replace what I burn out we're going to suffocate. She broadcast that thought as best she could to her blue-haired kitty friend.

xxxErin could beg Nat to find a way to turn on the ventilation, but even as Erin sent the message, a team of soldiers approached Nat with a morf in tow that produced a field that disrupted the supernatural morfs abilities. Nat's abilites would be useless with that morf there, and the morf was guarded by highly trained soldiers, keeping the morfs fairly secure.
