Ralse Havard
The Rebellious Scholar prince
Ralse sat atop the throne that would be his once he was to be wed to his arranged partner. Most people would be disgusted by the fact hey were forced to marry someone, especially of another race of people entirely. Yet Ralse wasn't fazed by this fact, rather when he learned his wife to be would be one of the elves of the forest he actually had become relatively excited. Sure it was a bit disheartening to know he had no choice in the matter, but under any other circumstance this matrimony of two separate cultures would never have happened. Hopefully his betrothed wouldn't despise him simply for being a human... which he knew was wishful thinking in this day and age but he wanted to keep himself optimistic about it.
What truly irked the prince was the simple fact that this would make him king, a high power of nobility and social status that is second to nearly none. And what was to hate about that? For Ralse, he was never one to indulge in foreign politics or war counsels, and hated the prospected responsibility of upholding his kingdom. He wanted the freedom to roam, to study, to experiment and learn. How could he possibly learn sitting atop this throne his whole life?
Ralse shook his head to clear these thoughts. The day was still young, but there would be plenty to do and the earlier he could leave this castle the better. Before long he was on his way to the Outlands where this grand meeting was to be held. Shoving out the ideas of his standing, he grew excited over getting to see all the races together in one place. It would be a very interesting first hand experience for him and something he wouldn't pass up if he had the choice.
