Night had fallen, covering the Alexandria forest in a dark blanket of clouds. It wasn't too long ago that Ajax claimed the title of Alpha as his own, and luckily for him, without another challengers. Fayne sighed, laying her head on her paws as she lay in the den. Though Fayne was a motherly-figure to her litter-mates, she remember Ajax from when Kesali would rough-house with him-- she remembered all the play-mates her siblings had. She obviously did not like Kesali and Ajax rough-housing, but the two were inseparable even by the controlling Fayne. The ivory fae stood up to stretch her legs out; first the front, then her hind legs, then she point her snout up to stretch her back. Shaking her pelt, a sense of relaxation and relief came over her.
Fayne couldn't help but have her share of doubt in Ajax, but she was hopeful of his leadership. She starred blankly at Ajax as he conversed with some other wolves; her sister being among them. Fayne didn't mean to ease-drop, but she did not like what she was hearing thus far. Sighing, her head hung low, trying to keep her mouth shut and opinions to herself. She was hopeful that the Alpha would listen to the council of his pack members and close friends-- if not, well, nothing could be done of it.
Fayne's head curved as her sister trotted off to look for Valor. She had lost hope.. Fayne felt as if nothing else could be done. Shaking her head, almost unnoticeably, she turned away. On her way to the healers' den, she stumbled upon the sitter, Lobo. Seemingly enough, he was disappointed with the new alpha in charge. Fayne remembered Lobo's severe injuries, but more importantly his nearly severed hip which hadn't healed properly. She pitied him; from a warrior to a sitter. Still, with his warrior experience, he seemed fit to protect and watch over the pups... if the pack were to have any more. She smirked, approaching the veteran brute.
"Hello, Lobo."
However, before anything else could be shared, Ajax howled a rally of his wolves. Fayne's ears twitched; her head turning back to look at the ebony Alpha. She whined, still hoping for a call off at the last minute, though she doubted that would be even an option to the tough alpha. Fayne admired Ajax's tough nature, but thought his arrogance could be altered just a little.
"Never mind," She looked at Lobo, "It seems as if we're being summoned," she dreaded the idea of being in a battle, but that what she couldn't help to think. Fayne hoped to stay behind, to save her strength for any injured wolves that would come to her after Ajax's call. She wouldn't be of much help either, but more if she stayed behind to ready herself for any injured wolves.
Fayne momentarily looked at Lobo, then continued on her way back to the healer's den to ready herself. Though, she knew a waged war wouldn't end so quickly, there were some wolves still recovering from the war that took their alphas. She merely worried for her courageous brothers and sisters who'd join Ajax's rally for war-- it was painted all over her face. Obviously, nothing could stop Ajax so she wouldn't bother... at least not at this moment.
With her head held low, Fayne trotted back to her duties.
