TIME SKIP

Tragedy struck the three packs that winter, the virus ravaged indiscriminate through Karam Niel and Taichi, even the Mujihi suffered losses from the mouth foaming sickness; rabies. As the snow melted, and the buds sprung from the ground and trees, it seemed as if the disease receded with the change of season. There was much loss, but so would there be much gain; with the change of season came hope and new life. Only time would tell how the packs would survive after such devastation.

xxxHer eyes flew open as a dull pain pulled her to her senses, it was quick and sharp and then it was over, but undoubtedly she knew what it was. She had been waiting for this, she knew what to expect; contractions. Lyra was a week overdue at this point and had no doubt been driving poor Theo mad with her grouchy demeanor and demands. The fae had to admit he was a trouper, always dealing with her flipy flopy mind, typically with little protest. Although they had gotten into a few 'decisions' over Lyra's behavior, but mostly they ending with Theo giving into Lyra's whims. Especially considering she played her tromp card frequently, she was caring his children after all, she should be entitled to his complete and utter servitude during that time. As she looked over and Theo's prone form, snoring lightly, she realized, not for the first time, how grateful she was to have such an amazing mate and soon to be father to her pups. The delta decided she would leave him be, she'd woken him up for so many silly reasons already this week, she could do this on her own. Of course later she would realize how stupid this had been, but for now she had only good intentions in mind as she silently (as was possible with her bulging belly ) crept outside of their typical sleeping quarters and made her way to the birthing den.

xxxIt was still dark outside, but the beginning rays of light were just leaking over the east mountain range. Lyra appreciated the early morning, not a single pack member was up yet, she didn't particularly want to interact with anyone on her way out of the main den site. She had been feeling a bit anti-social lately, but this was something more, a deep rooted instinct perhaps, but something made her feel very uncomfortable about the other wolves being near the new born pups that were on their way, and underlining protective instinct she figured. The trek to the birthing den was a long one, and slow. It felt as if the sun was making better progress in the sky then Lyra was stopping every few steps, bracing herself, as the contractions hit. Oh boy where these puppies coming, and right now. The fae used the foliage to brace herself a few times, leaning heavily against a tree, her fur furrowing into the deep lines of the bark as she huffed in and out. But Progress she did make, and eventually she found her perfect den that Theo had carved out for her. She was just laying down inside as the real process began.

                                              xxx

xxxIn no time at all it was all over, and Lyra was nestled up with her seven beautiful puppies. And with very little noise during the actual birthing, nothing that would draw a predator's attention at least. Lyra marveled at the tiny creatures suckling fast to her. Never in her life had she imagined anything more precious or valuable. Her tongue lolled out gently along their pelts removing any remaining residue. There were no words to describe how Lyra felt in that moment, nothing strong enough to signify what those helpless little puppies made her feel. Her lips were twitched up in a permanent wofly grin. She thought while she was pregnant that she had loved these pups as much as was possible, but she'd be absolutely wrong. Lyra curled her form around them, the end of her nose touching the tip of her tail, with one more glance and a small happy sigh, the new proud mother drifted softly and soundly off to a peaceful sleep.

So much had happened to Taichi within the few weeks, the alpha female wasn't even sure where she would began. She had fallen in love, gotten a mate, gave out elite ranks, and tried to regroup the pack the best she could. Sadly many members have passed to mother moon and the only thing the alpha female could do was howl for the fallen and hope for a better and brighter future.

Kaireena's ears flicked as she woke up, her eyes fluttered open and she lifted her head from her mate's shoulders. The alpha female was so used to being the sole alpha she woke up early and went to check the territory but today the female wanted a drink of water and perhaps sometime where she would think and try to figure out the best plan for her now much smaller pack. Silently the rather large female moved away from her mate and the den of sleeping members and walked out into the early morning sun. Stretching out her frame the female lowered her torso to the earth and opened her mouth wide in a yawn.

The alpha female stood up and shook out her brown pelt and started toward the river, her nose was sniffing out anything that could be harmful for her as well as toward her small pack. Her ears were perked up to their full height and she was listening to everything that was going on around her. Her golden hues scanned the horizon as she moved like the wind through the remaining land that was Taichi's territory. After a short but safe walk the alpha made it to the river, Kaireena kept her ears perked and her senses on high alert as she lowered her head to lap at the water. Once she had her fill of water her pink tongue, wiped off the water from around her mouth and she scanned the horizon once more.

Kaireena let out a sigh and sat on her haunches, from what she could hear, see, and smell she was safe, for now at least. Her pack needed to feed, she would have to talk to the pack, any hunt the pack did would have to be a whole pack effort. Her eyes looked up to the skies and she spoke softly, to the fallen alphas of the past. "I am so sorry with what has happen to Taichi, I am doing the best I can for the pack. I just don't know what else I can do…" her tone was soft and held much sadness in the words and it was true. Kaireena had thought and thought but nothing she did seemed to be helping the pack any, but she wouldn't allow herself to get upset, she had to keep the pack going and getting stronger so they could get back their land.

The dark female nodded at herself and her thoughts, she would get Taichi's land back with Calon, and even though their pack was small, they would quickly grow and become better then Mujihi and they would take back their land that Luna had lost to the mutts, by now Kaireena knew that the ex-alpha had joined the ranks with the same mutts that killed both her mates and then took away her child. Kaireena would never understand why she would turn her back on Taichi but now it wasn't her concern the female had made her pack and now she would have to live with it. Deep down the pretty alpha, held a hatred for the black female that handed her, her rank. She had destroyed Taichi and then left it for Kaireena to fix, how could an alpha be so heartless and so selfish, she would never understand.

Twenty minutes had pasted when Kaireena noted she needed to return to the den site, standing she shook out her coat before trotting home. It was a short ways back but when she did make it back to her den site she wanted to go back into the den and lay with her mate and sleep forgetting about the world but she couldn't. She was the alpha and she needed to act like it, she had to keep strong and keep the pack going. The alpha female knew what she wanted to do and what she would do once the pack was up and moving around, and that was hunt. She had faith that one of the twins would be able to track something. Kaireena started to plan in her mind what the pack would do once the whole pack was awake. She was going to allow her pack to rest as long as they needed to today. After a hard few weeks, she knew the pack needed it.

After being kept up well into the hard hours of the night by his overbearing and pregnant mate, Lyra, Theo had conked out and slept quite heavily. Slaving away to the every whim of a pregnant fae was hard and sometimes stressful work. Whenever Theo slept he slept hard. Today, he was rested against his silvery mate, his mouth slightly open and his tongue hanging out and sticking to the den floor. A constant soft snore rumbled out of his maw. The only movement from Theo was the monotonous up and down of his ribs as he breathed. But other than that, he was gone. He didn't even stir while his mate got up and left his side to go give birth. The sudden coldness to his side went unnoticed, and he just continued to snooze away.

It wasn't until a good 15 minutes later did he really wake up. Being in such a deep sleep, Theo was pretty groggy. He spent a few minutes trying to rehydrate his dried tongue while he sat there, clueless to the fact that his mate was missing. But when he noticed that Lyra was gone, it hit him like a ton of bricks. He jumped up on his feet and whirled around a couple times to check the den for the shine of her hide. When he found nothing, he just knew that Lyra was out there, giving birth. In the pit of his stomach, he could just feel it.

The brute started to panic. "Lupen." He breathed the word. It would be the only thing that he would say quietly. After that, the brute started running about the whole main den, bellowing and waking everyone up. "The pups are coming, THE PUPS ARE COMING!" He pounced on the more deafer wolves, and with the weight that he carried, it probably would cause quite a bit of pain. "ZARA, MIANI, THE PUPS ARE COMING." He made sure to rudely awaken the healers, so that way they would be ready to handle any medical emergencies. Next, the providers. "KAYLAH, ESAROSA, SITKA, THE PUPS ARE COMING. EVERYONE, THE PUPS ARE COMING!"

Once everyone in the main den was stirring from Theo's alarm, he seemed satisfied. He charged on to the next den, the alpha den. Normally, the very respectful zeta would never enter the alpha den uninvited, but this was an emergency! He wasn't entirely thinking straight. "ROAN, MARISSA." He put his front paws on the back of the alpha and pressed his weight into the brute, shaking him rather violently. His white mate beside him and the pups nestled at her stomach could probably feel the shaking too. "THE PUPS ARE COMING."

The alpha groaned and turned his blind eye over to the zeta. It always gave Theo a bit of a chill to look at Roan in his dead eye. Before he got his answer Roan checked on his mate and adoptive pups, making sure they weren't too startled by all the shaking. "She knows what she's doing, Lyra will be fine. Calm down." The alpha's voice was a bit grumpy sounding, and one could tell that he was holding back some cranky words. Theo bent his ears back and looked down at his paws, feeling a bit bad about waking Roan up.

Roan broke Theo out of his sorry thoughts. "What are you doing here? Why aren't you waiting to see your pups?" That's right! He had pups to go see! What if they were already born? The thought of being able to see his babies made the brute excited, but nervous as well. "Uh--uh..." The zeta couldn't really figure out what to say to Roan in response, and just lamely dipped his head and ran out of the den.

Theo charged through the forest towards the den that he had dug for Lyra over a season ago. He wasn't the greatest tracker, but he could scent the smell of her labor as he ran there. It only quickened his pace and gave him an even greater sense of urgency. It really was happening, he was going to be a father!

He skidded to a stop outside the pup den and just stared at the opening. He remembered that mothers who had just given birth were very protective and rarely let anyone see the pups. Many curious fathers had gotten nasty scars on their face for poking their heads into the den too early. He hung back, cautious. Lyra was pretty temperamental during her pregnancy, there was no telling how she would act when those pups were actually out of her womb.

But he wanted to see his pups! He didn't want to wait! He paced at the den mouth, stopping frequently to stare at the dark hole. It was very quiet, too. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing. Weren't pups supposed to be making noises? Crying, and the like? Did that mean something was wrong? His excitement turned into restlessness, and soon, it turned into worry. He whined lightly at the den's mouth, laying down on his stomach and resting his head in-between his paws. Maybe if he looked as harmless as possible, she would allow him inside?

The past season of Roan's life changed dramatically. Finally, the brute had found a mate; Marissa. The white fae had always an admirable white pelt and gentle temperament, but what had really made Roan fall in love with the fae was her way with her pups. Always loving little ones to no end, Roan often visited Rau and Lane to play with them and give them some "brute time". Marissa was always there, of course, keeping a watchful eye on them and making sure Roan didn't get too rough. It was during these times that the two wolves started to bond and admire each other, and eventually Roan started to court Marissa, taking her out on little hunting dates and such. The two became inseparable, and it was obvious to everyone that Roan had found his new mate. He had asked permission from Marissa's pups before popping the question, and with their approval, he became Marissa's mate, and Lane and Rau's adoptive father.

No longer alone and struggling, the alpha went from his broody, distant self and bloomed into the old easy-going alpha he once was. He played and wrestled with pups and adults alike, and occasionally indulged in a game of keep away with Marissa and the pups whenever there was a new kill. He just seemed more bright and cheerful now. His smiles were no longer forced, his laughs were no longer fake. He was truly happy now.

Sleeping in his alpha den was starting to get crowded nowadays, but Roan was perfectly fine with it. Having Marissa curled up at his side was the most comforting feeling. Ever since her and the pups started sleeping in the alpha den with him, he no longer suffered terrifying nightmares where he would relive Baala's death again and again. The fae kept him warm, and at peace while he slept.

Well, he normally had peaceful awakenings too, but today wasn't one of those days. While Roan was in a deep sleep, he got his ribs practically crushed by the force of Theo pushing his whole great weight on him. The alpha made a harping yelp in pain, and turned to glare at Theo. He would normally scold the zeta relentlessly for the rude awakening, but after Theo barked out "THE PUPS ARE COMING", Roan understood the father-to-be's attack. Admittedly, Roan would probably be flipping out if he was about to have a batch of pups too. After giving a quick look at his new family to make sure they were okay, he gave Theo a gruff response. "She knows what she's doing, Lyra will be fine. Calm down." He shifted his weight a bit. Sleeping on a den floor made a wolf sore sometimes. "What are you doing here? Why aren't you waiting to see your pups?"

The zeta seemed to light up at that realization. He mumbled a sort of "Uhhh" before bowing and darting out of the den. Roan watched the brute leave before grumbling a growl, still feeling very cross for being woken up. The brute liked his sleep. But at the same time, he too was a little excited about the prospect of new pups in his pack, so he wasn't entirely mad for the alarm.

He turned his attention back to his mate and pups, nuzzling Marissa's fluffy, white neck before licking her cheek. "I'm sorry about that." Even though Theo's freak-out wasn't Roan's fault at all, he still felt like he needed to apologize and calm any bad feelings she had. Keeping your fae happy was the job of a mated brute. "Would you like to go see the pups and bless them? We can take Lane and Rau too, and afterwards we can all go for a walk in the forest? It seems like it will be a nice day out today."

K-y-r-a-

Kyra had been resting soundly within the den of her pack and family, as always since she was a pup she slept near her Uncle and Aunt, Lyra and Theo. Lately the two had been stressed beyond belief with Lyra being pregnant with her litter of pup's it had put a toll on her, which Kyra understood she couldn't imagine the stress and exhaustion a wolf went through when carrying so many lives within her. As the morning came to, Kyra flicked her ears feeling a breeze of someone walking past her which caused her silver lids to open as her blurred vision spotted her Aunt leaving the den, the groggy female lifted her head shaking the pelt on her neck lightly as she looked to her snoring Uncle Theo beside her then back to the exiting Delta whom she figured was just going out for a drink and soon yawned laying her head back down to rest. Young Kyra was now her full large size, much like her mother before her and had successfully accomplished her task at becoming a full fledged warrior beneath her Uncle whom had trained her all along the way. The young pup who once felt like she was lost, and had nothing now had a purpose, a family of her own, and a rank that she lived up to and carried with her each day. Roan and his pack had done more then they thought for young Kyra, they gave her a second chance, and a home, as well a family as well as showed her the world was not as lonely and cruel as she had thought. Soon enough the female had fallen back asleep near her snoring, and might she add loud Uncle, all the stress within their little family atpo her training had taken it's toll upon her own body especially since she was out helping her Uncle as much as she could, and still keeping the peace whenever her Aunt wanted to take a bite out of him.

After some more time of sleeping, soon a loud booming voice was echoing throughout the den of sleeping wolves causing Kyra's ears to flick and her blue eyes to open as she soon recognized the loud crying voice to be her Uncle. After sometime she lifted her head with yet another yawn, before long she finally processed what her uncle was saying as he pranced about announcing thing's about pups being born at first the groggy state of sleep caused her to be in confusion until finally something snapped reminding her that her Aunt was due for the pups to be born!. Quickly the young warrior scrambled to her paws and shook out her silvery pelt as well as any leftover sleep within her body, before she quickly gave a long stretch of her large frame and trotted outside of the den, her eyes scanned around for her Uncle whom had seem to already dissapear. Well this was great! she had been asked to watch over the pups whenever they needed to be, almost as a guardian and now she was going to be late to her own cousins being born, she was not off to a good start. Soon enough Kyra trotted off within the forest heading to the birthing den her and her Uncle Theo had made for her aunt much before the pup's had been conceived and they had spent much time on putting it together.

As Kyra slowly arrived she spotted Theo pacing back and forth right outside the den, Kyra knowing full well how the world worked remained where she was which was a few feet away as she slowly sat down wrapping her silvery tail around herself. She shook the pelt of her neck as she watched her worrying uncle for a moment, she looked back behind her to see if any of the other wolves would be coming before speaking softly to her uncle "You shouldn't worry yourself to much, Uncle Theo...you will give yourself a panic attack before even meeting them" Kyra remained where she was as the den was for mother and father until given permission otherwise, and so she remained where she was until given permission but, still offered her support to her family.

What had happened the last few weeks seemed to be a dream come true, but a nightmare at best. Calon had become the mate to Kaireena and was made Alpha male. It was a great honor for him, but he was so nervous about it. He had not fallen in love with the fae for her rank, but for her personality. They made each other shine and he loved it. Kaireena was one of those faes that every brute wished he had, and here was Calon.. now her mate. It sent him into a bliss and he was so happy about her actually agreeing with him that he forgot what exactly being mated to her entitled. Now, he didn’t think he wasn’t capable he was just nervous. Within the weeks of him being the new Alpha male, tragedy hit the Taichi pack. Members were dying and he feared it was mother moons way of saying it was all his fault.

He tried to keep his true thoughts hidden from Kaireena. It wasn’t hard as he soon began to realize that maybe this was mother moons way of saying ‘hey, it’s a new start.. after this.. you’ll make the pack rise from its sorrow?’ He didn’t have a clue but he took it as an opportunity to show everyone who exactly they had as and Alpha.

Along side his mate he grieved for those that lost their lives, but his mind also worked twice as hard. He was trying to come up with ways to give faith back to Taichi. Why? Because they needed it. Soon enough he prayed to Lupen that he would be able, along side his mate, to take back the land they lost. They weren’t some small innocent pack. He would make damn sure that before he died, Taichi had what was lost.

Curled up against his mate, her head on his shoulders, he slept soundly. It was only until he felt her weight move off him that he slowly began to stir. She was getting up and moving about, though his lazy self stayed glued to the den floor. After a few minutes, Calon blinked a few times and then pushed himself off the ground. He stretched out and his bones cracked and became moveable again. He shook his fur and let out a whiny yawn before exciting the den. His tail flipped up a bit and he wagged it slowly as his eye fell upon Kaireena. “Goodmorning Beautiful.” He ran his side along hers twice and then licked under her muzzle. She was indeed very beautiful and the male wasn’t afraid to voice that. His eyes shifted around the den site, his stomach growling. They needed to hunt, maybe an early morning hunt? He could suggest it. He yawned again and then his head slid underneath his mates for a moment, enjoying the warmth of her fur.

The morning sun rose and cast its warm glow upon her pack’s territory, for this Sable was grateful. After everything the pack had been through in the past winter atleast it was still holding its own. She found a new sense of respect and determination when her Alpha had found a love. Sable prayed to the moons for Marissa to be everything she thought she could be and more. The pack needed a good strong female to set the bar for the others, as well as be there for her mate and the pack.

Being unable to sleep anymore Sable had gotten up and started making her rounds. Her stealth was unheard of on her own now as she had gotten much better over the past months. Now being able to place her paws upon the ground and not make a sound, unless she wanted to be heard was a very good thing for her. Though no signs of the enemy for now the reddish female had seen good signs of prey, and the pack needed to replenish its hunting pile. As her tail stayed up off the ground and her nose was down Sable took in every scent making sure no others had passed the line laid down by their Alpha. Her fur danced gently in the soft morning breeze and Sable’s thoughts were carried to her son Uranus. Such a fine male he was becoming, since she found him in the snow many many moons ago. A soft smile played across her muzzle as she remembered the black wet fur ball. He wanted to become a warrior and there was no doubt he was built for it. Though Sable prayed his intentions were for the good and not for revenge on being abandoned. She prayed her love washed away any feelings of pain from that horrible past.

With a heavy sigh Sable turned back, she needed to find Ansel and make her report of the prey and nothing else. She figured being the lead scout he would be up already and moving about. With her ears up and nose taking in every scent around her for the male she headed back towards her pack.

The sounds of someone making a big fuss caused a ripple of a growl through Lavita’s big white body. He was comfortable and warm next to his mate Sitka. Though at the sound of pups he knew she would do her duty and spring into action. Lavita snuggled his nose into her fur breathing in her warm scent. One of the reasons why he loved her was because of her sense of pride within her rank. He also knew she would be a lovely mother one day. Lavita hoped that day would come soon for the both of them though for now it had not. Raising his head he blinked fiercely at the assaulting light of the sun before his eyes adjusted. Giving a great yawn only to end in a whine Lavita watched Theo become very excited. “Roan is right my friend, you must stay calm, your nervousness could upset your mate.” His voice was strong and calm just how he thought Theo should be right now.

Granted he couldn’t blame the male for being so happy, he couldn’t wait to feel the same way someday soon. Looking down at Sitka he knew she would rise soon and wanted her to have something to eat before beginning to take care of the pups that were soon to come. Lavita couldn’t gauruntee the new mother would allow him any where near the pups or Sitka afterwords. With a heavy sigh his long legs straightened underneath him and carried him out to the surrounding lands. On the way out he saw Sable and dipped his head to her. “Morning Sable, not surprised to see you out and about, be warned Theo’s pups are being born.” Sable dipped her head in gratitude. “Going for a small hunt, theres prey close to the river when I made my rounds nothing big but big enough for a female.” She smiled, Sable knew the male was out hunting for his mate, and would not hunt for anything bigger till he was with his pack. “You’re a good mate Lavita, I pray I find one like you one day.” Sable said as she parted ways with him.

Lavita dipped his head , proud he was considered a good mate by her though his only concern truelly was Sitka. Taking the scouts words into consideration he picked up his pace by stretching his long legs towards the river….

It did not take long for the big white male to catch a plump rabbit, he had snuck up on it as it ate from the fresh growing grass. He had made sure it did not show any signs of the past disease that over took their pack before killing it. Lavita shivered as he remembered what some of the wolves went through before dieing and did not wish that upon his mate. Picking up the rabbit, he stride lengthed fully as he proudly carried his kill back to his mate.

Get in my way, all you can do is pray...Stand in firm, lie down and learn...I am like no other you will know.

Wandering close to the sitter den, Layla watched the area around them starting to wonder how many were effected by that horrid disease. Even worse she had yet to really leave the pups for long after everything had started, not wanting them to be effected. But alas some pups did die but at least some where able to make it through the tragedy and become stronger because of it. With her stomach grumbling Layla sat herself down near the den entrance, watching the movements of the pack closely. Sure she wanted to go get food, but for now she would wait and protect the next generation for Mujihi wolves. Looking back towards the den as her stomach growled towards her once more, she tried to convince herself to stay put. Though Seca could surely watch them for a short while or even Béline could, so she might go and get some food for herself.

With a whine she got to all fours and called back towards her sitter friends. "I am going to get food." And with that she trotted off away from the den and towards the kill pile, doubting anything would be there. And so was such, no food was there that was worth her trying to eat. This meant Layla must go out and hunt for herself, which she hadn't done in quite some time now. Turning herself towards the woods she started to trot off through the freshly green growing blades of grass, her eyes and ears scanning for signs of anyone near by. While she went towards the area where food would be found, her mind wandered some to thoughts of Phoenix wondering how he fared through everything. She hadn't seen much of him as of late, since she was so stubborn about leaving the pups for any amount of time. But it seemed the horrid foaming of the mouth disease had passed and that meant it would be safer for her to start heading out and about once more.

Looking around she noticed she neared the area that she would hunt, her noise taking in the scents around her. Lowering her body she looked through the grass and caught sight of a small meal that was worth trying to hunt. Staying lower she watched the small rabbit eat peacefully a few yards a head of her, it blissfully unaware of her presence. At least for the time being that was, for as Layla got closer to the prey it seemed to start to become more wary of it's surroundings. Forcing her to stay still once more until she had a chance to attack and catch the little furry beast off guard. Laying in wait she stayed as still and quiet as possible, her chance soon appearing before her. With it seen she lunged forward towards the rabbit and gave chase, it just getting out of her reach at the last second. Keeping a quick pace she followed the rabbit, her teeth soon meeting fur covered flesh and the taste of blood entered her mouth.

The so called hunt was a success for Layla, which in ways made her proud of herself. Sure she was no hunter, but at least she could provide her own meals at this point. She felt as if she had truly started to grow up from when she first came to Mujihi and became a warrior. Even now though she was mocked for becoming a sitter, she still felt a sense of pride. Her thoughts wandered from topic to topic as her teeth ripped into the flesh of the rabbit, starting to eat at the meat just below the fur. Enjoying her meal in silence, Layla soon was unaware of her surrounding and became in a blissful state of where her hunger was being satisfied. Laying quietly on the ground she ate, thoughts of her past and what was to become of her future ran through her mind. Even thoughts of having a mate came to her from time to time, but she was quick to push them away. She feared if she ever was to try and find herself a mate, that they would reject her for her childish antics. Though with that thought her mind went to Fell and then Phoenix, knowing they had put up with her at one point. With a growl to herself she went back to eating her meal and ignoring her surroundings.

Pamuya

Laying in her comfortably made bed wondering if she truly had to get up for that morning. With a yawning whine being let out, she stretched out upon the bed and relaxed there once more. Pamuya was sunning herself in silence wondering where Oberon had gone off to or if he was near by. Sitting herself up so she now laid on her stomach she looked around the hunters hang out in search of any signs of her boy toy. Soon she was sitting up on her haunches and stretching out once more another whining noise escaping from her throat. When she finished with her stretches she wandered around in search of Oberon, even going as far to call out to him. "Ober where the heck are you? It is to early to be wandering about." With her discontent voiced she put her noise to the air and started to take in the scents around her. Soon able to catch a faint scent of her superior, which caused her to wag her tail with excitement.

Picking up her pace some she went towards the scent, trying to track down her protector. Wanting to keep close to him because of what had recently happened, almost as if she still wanted to feel safe at his side. In the end she truly did grow feeling towards this brute, more so then any other she would torment. But even with that thought in her head she would keep quiet about it, in fear she would be rejected for what would be the first time in a long time. It was clear to her Oberon wasn't really looking for a mate, but she hoped in time the two of them could grow close enough that he could see her odd affection and accept it. But for now she merely tracked down her friend, soon getting him in her sights. With a wag of her tail she had an idea, one that would probably get her in more trouble then anything else. But who cared about that, she knew Oberon would tolerate her doing this idea all the same.

Lowering her body to the ground, she stalked forward to keep herself out of his sights or at least she hoped she was doing such. Moving towards his back side she tried to creep up behind him and catch him by surprise. She doubted the great Delta would really allow her to get a pounce on him, but it was worth a shot. Keeping herself low to the ground she moved closer and closer, a slight smirk crossing her lips as she neared her Delta. Staying still she watched him as quietly as she could, getting herself ready to leap up and try to tackle him. Only now waiting for the perfect moment to do such and do it with out getting caught. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area not noticing anyone else near by and with that being seen she readied herself to try and take down Oberon. Lowering herself just a bit more she wiggled her butt some to be playful in a way, before lunging forward out of the area she was hiding. Yelling at Oberon at the same time as she tried to pounce on him. "I got you!" Pamuya always had fun doing playful tricks like this, but she also doubted she would of been able to actually tackle Oberon down to the ground as well.

Hramn had just gotten back in from his nightly patrolling, already noticing some wolves were up and about for the morning. Not that he would say anything to any of them anyways, he still had yet to feel apart of the pack as he thought he should be at this point. Though really it never did bother him not to be apart of it like that, in ways it made things less complected. For now he would make his way towards finding Faylen and report the night's events before heading to catch some sleep. Slowly he made his way through the forest into the main den area, his noise trying to catch the scent of the higher ranking Iota. His pace was slow and easy as always and he really was in no rush to find Faylen. More then likely if he laid down to try and sleep she would show up and be yelling at him for it.

With a yawn he padded over to a quieter area of the main den site and sat himself down. Stretching his head up and back with a whining yawn to escape his throat. Once he finished with his stretch he laid down on his stomach and crossed his head over one of his paws, watching the comings and goings of the fellow pack members. In the end he would not bother finding Faylen and would wait for her to magically appear before him for the ritualistic yelling moment. Only to find he was already done with his patrol once more and then hopefully allow him to sleep. Though at times he wondered if his Iota would ever figure out he was more of a night time wolf then a day time one, it was always the same thing said when she came to him. 'I have already done it and here is the report...' and then he would give his report and wait for permission to sleep.

Laying still he watched everything through tired eyes, that opened and closed every so often as he fought to keep himself awake. It was quite a bother for him really to fight this hard against his urge to sleep, but he did his best to do so. Slowly though he drifted off into a light slumber, half expecting Faylen to show up right then and there. Thankfully though it seemed she wouldn't and he would be able to catch a few minuskel moments of rest. Only to have it ripped away by the movements of some wolves near by that were to loud in his mind. Opening his eyes he looked up towards them and grumbled to himself, not caring for the noise they were making. Getting up on all fours he decided to move himself away from the area and try to find a quieter spot to rest his tired bones.

Wandering away from the area he went past the sitter's den area noticing Béline was watching the pups at this point. Giving a slight wag of his tail and a nod towards the old fae, he continued on with his slow paced walk. Soon finding a tree trunk that looked rather comfy to curl up next to. Laying himself down once more he let out a loud yet long yawn before curling his body up around itself as best he could. His noise tucking into his tail fur to keep his heat in a bit better. He was finally getting to sleep now and was able to push away the noises of the pack mates around him. It felt good to be able to drift off into a world of dreams and not get in trouble. But he doubted this wonderful feeling would be lasting much longer.

After the nightmare of her former pack's demise and the hard months on her own before finding Karam Niel, Marissa was finally truly happy. An unexpected chance at motherhood had presented itself with Lane and Rau and the fae hadn't hesitated to take them in. It hadn't seemed like it could get any better until, surprisingly, it had. With Roan coming around more often, Marissa had the pleasure of the company of the alpha, who happily spent time with her boys. It wasn't surprising when the two wolves began to get closer and bond, and no one in the pack seemed surprised in the least when he began courting her, and when she eagerly said yes to him.

Things couldn't always be perfect, though. Although Roan had begrudgingly let her brother, Fell, join the pack, things between the two brutes were tense, to say the least. Roan had let the brute in on one condition, he was going to be the omega, and promotions were not prospective. There was even a little awkward tension between the siblings. The gap between alpha and omega were a bit overwhelming for the considerably demoted brute. Despite all of the this though, Fell and Marissa were happy to finally be together.

Marissa was sleeping soundly when Theo's voice began to wake her. She was still asleep, however, when he came bounding in and bouncing on top of Roan. The shaking roused her, her sleepy eyes clearing as she smiled warmly. It would take more than an excited waking to trigger her grump. She cleared her voice quietly to speak, but her voice still a little thick. "That's wonderful Theo! Now hurry, you don't want to be gone when the first pup arrives" She laughed as he took in their words and excitedly left. "Yes, I'd love to see the pups and bless them, and a walk sounds absolutely delightful. But it's probably best if we wait until she is rested up a little. Poor fae, I hope she isn't overwhelmed after Theo inviting the entire pack to the den." With a chuckle, Marissa rested her head against Roan's shoulder, letting his scent envelope her muzzle. She moved her tail to better cover the pups. If they had managed to sleep through Theo, she would let them sleep just a little longer. A little peace and quiet with Roan would be nice before her rambunctious Rau awoke. Lupen knew he'd want nothing more than go for a walk in the forest, where there were countless ways he could get himself into trouble. Hopefully Lane would like the idea just as much.

╠╣ Béline ╠╣

Laying quietly at the mouth of the sitter's den, Béline watched as the early morning events began and wolves woke up. Even now Béline was still drifting in and out of sleep, knowing the pups in there care had yet to awake from their night of slumber. With a yawn she let her eyes flutter open at the sound of Layla yelling, her head lifting as the white fae disappeared off out of sight to go do something. With a heavy sigh she sat herself up and stretched out her old body, wondering if that sitter would ever be able to sit still longer then a pup. Sitting quietly she watched everything going on, wondering how the pups fared through the night. Getting to her feet she made her way down into the den, checking on the few pups inside. Her tongue brushed over a few of them, comforting them in ways before she turned around and left the den.

Once she crawled out of the den she looked around noticing Hramn wandering past. With his gesture towards her, she nodded in a sense to him as well. Before moving to lay herself down near the den entrance, just in case pups started to wake up soon. Laying her head across her crossed over paws, she stayed quiet her mind wondering to thoughts that meant nothing. With a sigh she stretched her legs out and flopped over on her side a soft grunt soon to leave her as well. It was going to be a long boring day or at least it seemed as such now, which meant she was going to probably be stuck baby sitting the pups as well as Layla with her pup antics. If it came to that she would probably tell Layla to go play with Phoenix and have the beta deal with her. Since Layla seemed to fancy him so much anyways and it would keep Béline from hurting the sitter herself.

Her ears twitched slightly as she wished for some excitement, almost wondering if her life would always be so lonely. Snorting loudly she shook her head and shifted up so she was on her stomach once more. The movements she made were not exactly slow but they were not at all fast either. It would seem Béline was finally having her age and young antics catch up to her now. With a soft wince she laid there, her body a bit sore now once again. Her tongue ran over the old injury on her leg, trying to soothe the pain that was surging through it so suddenly. A weak whine left her as she tired to remain strong even in this pain, for weakness was never to be an option for her. Shifting herself she got more comfortable and waited for the unruly and annoying time of the day to start, knowing she wouldn't be in the best of moods today with the pups. But then again pups needed to be put in there places from time to time anyways, so it would probably do them some good.
