At the height of pleasure, Nonaka rarely thought the way she usually did. Her mind gave over to more primal instincts, and threw her into desire's path more times than she cared to count. It always happened after being with Calcifer - he brought the true vampire out in her.
The scent of lion overpowered her, and she smiled wide when she felt rather than saw her mate running to catch up. He could pass her, and she knew that, but it was surprising. On a head to head fight, the lycan will almost always win. Physical confrontations was simply their area of expertise. Vampires were lithe and fast; rarely did they consider actually engaging in a true battle. They instead opted for running until they could gather allies or surprise their enemies.
To her right bounded the lion four times her size; she felt the earth shake below them with each pounce, and a laugh tumbled from her throat.
If anyone were to see them, they would be quite confused.
Blood reached her senses again, and Nonny took a hard right. Her fingers touched Calcifer's back lightly as she leaped over him, going for the humans only a few miles away.
Whether they were innocent or not, Nonaka didn't care. Not now, at least. Perhaps later, but she had given herself over to her urges, and by God she would follow through.
Two males and a female sat by a small fire. The first male was tending to it with a stick, and all were smiling. She had a moment to decide which to take, and then she was upon them. She had gone for the male tending the fire. They landed yards away from the glow in the dark, Nonaka on top. Behind her, the girl was screaming; a high pitched whale that made the vampire wince - but it was cut off seconds later. She decided not to speculate on what Calcifer had done, and went for the urge she had been denying herself for so long.
Mouth open in a snarl, Nonaka lurched down, biting into the skin of the man's neck. He screamed, pulling at her hair, and pushing at her arms. Nothing worked, and he knew that, but it didn't make a difference. Nonaka bit down with every tooth, taking a chunk out of his neck. She tore it off and plunged back down, drinking down every drop until his struggling form finally settled, growing cold in minutes.
Drenched in blood, the blond stood and faced the lion. He was crouched over the other boy, or what was left of him. His fur was covered in red, and there was bits of the human scattered around him. Nonaka glanced to the side and saw, with a raised eyebrow, the human girl pressed against the tree, watching in horror. She gave her a smile she knew didn't look friendly, and went towards her. The girl only cowered, the knowledge plain in her eyes; she was going to die.
As though suddenly realizing it was inevitable, the girl decided to fight... by running. It made Nonaka think a little better of her; but then, she enjoyed the chase almost as Cal did.
Without so much of a flinch, Nonny snatched her arm and spun around, driving her in between herself and Calcifer. She turned the human so that they were facing each other, and looked at her mate as she ripped the shirt to expose her long neck.
"Want to help me Cal?" Nonny licked a line from the girl's shoulder to her ear, taking it between her teeth and tugging gently. She wrapped her arms around the girl's waist and pulled her tightly against her, pressing her bloody, naked body against her warm form. Opening her mouth, Nonaka dragged her canines over the girl's skin, making two short, shallow lines of red.
The girl ended up on the ground, with Nonaka feeding from the girl's collar bone, and Calcifer from her upper thigh. It wasn't as sexual as it sounded, mostly because his jaw opened wide enough to wrap around her thigh. The human girl was gone at this point, but neither of them seemed to mind. They fed and fed until they couldn't hold anymore, and then they turned to each other, and Nonaka let him see that she was happier now than she had been in a long while.
Nonaka screamed. It was sudden and downright startling. There had been a noise a millisecond before, and she immediately recognized it as a gun. Similar to Calcifer's, now that she thought about it, and it was filled with silver bullets. How did she know? It hurt like all hell, and didn't heal. In fact, it simply bled and ached. When harmed with any other object, a vampire could heal it in minutes (depending on the size of the wound), but not silver. With silver injuries they healed almost human slow.
She disappeared from sight, and only Calcifer knew where she had gone. To the top of a tree that was almost thirty yards away. Her pink eyes scanned the darkness, looking for the b*****d that had a death wish.
Not horribly far away, a group of -she squinted- fifteen were making their way towards where she had been seconds ago. What are they doing?
She turned to look back at where Calcifer was still standing, and movement made her continue searching to his left. Another group, not as big but quite close, were walking towards Cal as well. As far as she could see, every single one of them had a weapon out, and none of them looked like the types who would rather talk than fight.
The only thing that seemed in their favor was the fact that they were all human. But that just raised its own question. Why were there humans so far out in the woods?
An idea slammed into Nonaka and she stood straight on the branch, scanning the area carefully. Her idea proved right when she looked around; they weren't in the neutral area any longer. In fact, they weren't even in vampire territory, let alone lycan. They were in the human's land now, and this was their greeting party.
s**t.
"Calcifer." She spoke, knowing he could hear her, but that no one else could even hope to. "Silver bullets, and plenty of them. I doubt we'll make it out of this unscathed." She knew he would understand. They could kill them all, but not without getting harmed themselves. They could run, but not even a supernatural creature could outrun a bullet. Either way, pain was coming.
Nonaka dropped back down to the ground and made her way back to Calcifer, moving more slowly this time, not wanting to startle the oncoming humans anymore than she already had.
When they appeared, it was obvious from the start they were unhappy. Hell, the bullet to her arm had been enough to tell her that - but frankly, the faces they gave them was downright pissed.
Nonaka glanced down at the bloody messes on the ground and guessed why.
She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it. These were humans, not supernaturals. They didn't have many things in common, especially their calmness around death. Kill a vampire and the other vampires will generally shrug and find a new friend. Kill a human, and the humans will at least attempt to kill you. Simple, and sometimes quite annoying.
So, instead of polite, she went for forceful.
"You will regret shooting me." Her pink eyes fell on the one who had done so, she could tell it was him. She wouldn't be able to explain why; she just plain knew. All her anger was in that glare, and she had to fight not to smirk as he squirmed under her stare.
A low growl came from Calcifer, and Nonaka put a hand on that large head of his. She looked perfectly at ease standing in front of twenty three humans nude, not to mention so close to a beast that could easily eat her in seconds.
"But I am willing to forgive if you will move out of our way."
The one who had shot her stepped forward, suddenly back to being mad. "You killed Matt," he looked down, "And Toby and Maranda. What makes you think we'll just let you go?"
Nonaka blinked, as though not realizing what she had done was wrong. "I apologize for having to kill your friends. But we were thirsty," she looked at the mass of meat, "And hungry. We meant no disrespect." Again, in the vampire community, it would be seen as completely understandable, but not with humans.
The boy took another step forward, "What did you do to her?" He snapped.
Nonaka frowned, "I ...don't understand the question." They had eaten her, simple as that.
He cocked the gun, "I come here, see her on the ground with, as far as I can tell with all that blood, no clothes to cover her. And you, you're just standing there like it's normal." Nonaka noted two things silently, first that she was comfortable in the nude, she just was. Simple as that; but it obviously bothered him. Second, he thought they had raped her or at least something along those lines.
Ok... perhaps they had done a bit much when feeding on her, but certainly not that much. Nonaka enjoyed pain, and she certainly loved topping Calcifer - but... that just wasn't her thing.
"We didn't-"
"Can it," he hissed, then turned to look at the group. He gave a nod, and frankly, Nonny did not like that nod.
And when the large group circled around them, guns raised and ready, she liked it even less.
"We never get to have a peaceful night, do we?" Nonny sighed.
((Reeeaaaally left that off... Sorry. xD ))
