Like the usual, Lucinda had been dreaming yet again of her past, of when she was abandoned...
Her ears twitched as they were poked and she opened one eye in greeting. She smiled lazily and sat up, kissing Hikaru again. "Looks like I've had enough sleep for now~"
"To bad you probably wont remember this when your amnesia wears off..." He said, laughing a little as he petted her head. "Also, could you tell me what you didnt want me to see in the book?" He asked, laughing a bit.
Lucinda bit her bottom lip. "Hikaru... It's not that you shouldn't know the past... It's just..." She sighed and played with her tail. "Cheshire cats..." she started softly, choosing her words carefully, "originated from our one ancestor, who did escape into the human world from Wonderland a few centuries ago, not because he really had a choice though..."
She took a deep breath before continuing."The original Cheshire Cat was exiled because apparently, he was falling in love with a human: Alice, who, according to the books, didn't like him back. Eventually, things got so out of hand, what with him stalking her while invisible and all, that the White Queen decided that that was it and the free-spirited cat was sent out of there..."
Lucinda stopped."Should I keep going..?"
"I think thats enough." He said, laughing a little as he though about it. "So more or less your species is a bit more trouble to certain people?" He asked, laughing a little. "I dont think your THAT much trouble." He said, poking her ear.
"Pretty much. But I have a question... Wouldnt your amnesia not allow you to know who you are?" He asked, looking at her a little suspiciously. "I thought thats what happened when humans caught it at least... is it the same for demons?"
Lucinda made a confused face. "Oh, who am I again? What Cheshire cat? Huh? I'm a what now???"
Then she couldn't keep herself from laughing and burst out in a giggling fit. "Awwwwz, you sure caught on quickly, Hikaru~" she said, draping an arm around his shoulder in a carefree manner,"hehe, I actually remembered everything while we were dancing...."
She nuzzled his cheek, amicably. "Somehow, that music just brought me back..." she said softly.
Lucinda smiled and said, "I just couldn't help keeping the pretense of not having my memory~♪"
"Maybe because we heard music when we both fell asleep it might have triggered something." He said, laughing a bit as he petted her head. "Anyways, I'll probably be heading back there and seeing if I can find my mask." He said, smiling at her.
Lucinda smiled softly. "Is that mask really important? If you're gonna go back... just try not to lose your memory there," she said with a gleam in her eye.
Then she wrapped her arms around him and said, "don't forget about meeeee~"
