Ok folks. My first RPG thread is probably gonna bomb, but I'm still gonna try and make this work.
The setting for this RPG is present day. You, the roleplayer, will assume the role of whatever type of character you want. Be creative and create your own character type if you want. The roleplay is played out as if you, the roleplayers, were living in this world filled with supernatural beings and forces. Hence, you can strive to do whatever you want, from taking over the planet to becoming the next Scarface to starting a Religion.
Here are the rules.
1. Everyone and everything dies, except time itself. There is no such thing as a true immortal in this roleplay.
2. While you can do just about whatever you want with your character, I'll also be monitoring your character. If I or another roleplayer (with reasonable cause to complain, not "whaa the mean vampire killed my decective" wink find that your character is too unbalanced and is ruining the roleplay for other players, your character will be terminated.
3. Sexual roleplaying is against the rules, both in this roleplay and for the Gaia website. If you and another player wish to roleplay sexually then use one of the manny online mesaging systems, such as AIM. Any players found to be roleplaying in a sexual manner will have their characters terminated and will be reported to Gaia immediately.
4. A character's powers cannot include the following:
- Changing major events in history.
- Destruction of reality.
- Immortality.
- Invincibility to more then 4 forms of attacks.
- Invincibility to Age, Death, or all four major elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water). Vampire characters age in this roleplay. They just age about as fast as snail on a salt bed moves.
- Resistance to more than 5 forms of attacks. Invincibilities count towards these resistances.
5. All characters must have one of the following combinations: One major weakness, two moderate weaknesses, or three light weaknesses.
6. There is always a way around certain rules. In this roleplay's case, those rules are numbers 1, 4 and 5. If you find one that is acceptable in my eyes, it will only work once so that other players do not abuse your hard work and planning. If you find a way around the immortality rule, your character will be considered a true immortal. In the case of invincibility, you will have temporary invincibility. Good Job.
8. For the time being, consider me the game master of this roleplay. Any questions regarding powers, "God-Mode" characters etc. should be E-Mailed to me at Alphademongel@aol.com with the subject heading "Freeform RPG".
