For years there have been sightings, rumors, legends of other creatures existing among us. Most were just ghost stories to tell our children, a spook on Halloween of the lurkers of the night. The incident this year has left us no choice; a world-wide alert has been set out in response to the increase in number of victims. We realize now that our Earth is not our own, we share its existence with something else, something inhuman. Night lurkers, blood suckers, Vampires.

They are overrunning us, turning our family, friends, neighbors. No one is safe. Each day we are learning of their deep ancestral roots within our society, how far back has their diseased bodies lived among us? A group of leading scientists has been founded, The Order, to combat these night lurkers. It is a slow process.

It has been years since the first knowledge of vampires came to Earth. The group of scientists and military experts have banded together in The Order to combat the threat to the nation, the vampires who now roam the streets and kill as they choose. Weapons, defenses, regulations, all of which have been implemented into everyday life to protect the humans. Of course, it's not enough to simply protect ourselves. We wish to thrive again, to walk the streets without worry, to rid of the ones who murder relentlessly. Project Trinity was created, and scientists worked for three long years to create obedient and self-sustaining carbon copies of the creatures who dwindle our race. Synthetic Vampires. Three of them, collectively called Trinity, were created carefully in test tubes through the use of modern technology, each possessing great power and strength, as well as one unique power to make them formidable opponents to the true vampires. Trinity is the key to the vampires' demise. They are the source to our power over such immortals.

● Earth, a place that was once green is now covered in a thick permanent cloud of smog. Man made structures have long since taken over all that is natural. There is no green in the land, and nearly everything is synthetically created. Our setting takes place in Newport City, one of the largest and most developed cities in the world. Life is made possible, quite literally, by the Dome, an all glass circular building that uses solar power in order to generate energy. The Dome is The Order's headquarters, and only the most wealthy and socially powerful individuals live at the center of the city around the Dome.

● The Laboratory exists at the heart of the Dome, and is the threshold to society. The scientists here are the most skilled and intelligent in the world, and technology is state of the art. In this day humans are no longer procreated, they are synthesized, through the use of science and the DNA of two existing humans. To be 'born' happens each full moon, when a new batch of humans come into cycle. They are born and grow and develop as normal humans, but are always, always female. The lab also is leading in experimental flora and fauna exploration, and create greenery housed in the most precious of environments. Only the scientists here, and the elder vampires know what green looks like.

● The Scarlet Room, a high-end strip club. It is a not-so-secret secret hangout for vampires, with a separate VIP room for them. The owner of the club is a sly vampire, who gives information to both vampire and human, whoever pays her more to talk. Hunters keep her off of the hunt list because they need the information from her.

● The area just on the perimeter of the inner city, where the majority of all of the residents of Newport City reside. It is scattered with markets and ultimately is a melting pot of individuals. Here is where the infamous gang 'Rebirth' calls their home.

One of two vampire elders that exist from the centuries before the Dome and all of vampire kind stepping from the darkness into the human world en masse, Saith has proven that she has the strength and intelligence to survive and prosper. Her leadership can effectively be described as totalitarian and brutal. Unlike Zora, Saith has no issue with creating vampires, as evidenced by the army she is gathering.

One of two elders residing in Newport, she does not follow any type of structured or safe way of living such as the other elder. She is well known to be a ruthless character, one to take no mercy and to kill without a second thought. Her aura is addicting though, the pheromones she gives off attracts both humans and vampires to her. Zora sleeps around because of it, using her seduction as a means to manipulate others. By accident she turned a human some time ago, most of which simply call her Pet. It is the only human she has ever turned. Their relationship is complex, as although Zora wishes to rid of her, she physically and mentally must protect the Pet, as every Newborn master must.






Vivica ● Lockheart

Somewhat affectionately nicknamed 'Pet' by those around her. She is the only fledgling of the elder Zora, who seduced and changed her on the night of her 22nd birthday.She nearly despises Zora for changing her, all the while still finding her an irresistible mentor. She seems withdrawn and timid at times, but when perturbed, usually by her creator, she can be very stern or heard headed. She hated and feared the vampire race in her human life, and has tried to resist drinking blood as a means of passive suicide many times in her short vampire life, though she's given that up now and grudgingly accepted the change. Outwardly she is ready to be free of Zora but deep inside she's afraid to be released, and scared she can't make it on her own. She is hesitant to test her strengths, and not even she truly knows her own limits.

A shroud of mystery surrounds that of Bael, who cannot remember her life as a human. She was turned by Saith, leader of Rebirth. Bael is in debted to the woman, having saved her dying human body. Every so often, though, she has dreams, questions, and no answers. Questioning her life now would mean most likely figuring out that everyone she had known before was dead, therefore she follows Saith blindly, as she has been the only home Bael has known these past few years.

Katelyn was not the first name to come up when deciding on someone to work directly with the Trinity. The reason for her to be chosen, it seems, was because, among everyone, she was the one most likely to treat the Trinity properly, rather than simply as weapons which might alienate them. Still, she holds to the belief that, while not the first person thought of for the job, she is the best of the choices. Perhaps unfortunately, to prove this right, she has devoted herself to this project entirely, and will sink along with it if it goes.






Rylee ● Penn

Rylee has always been a girl who knew what she wanted. She is known around to be a very happy person with a sweet personality. This, in tandem with her hair color, gave people the idea for her nickname; 'Candy'. Despite all the fear and hatred towards vampires that most people feel, Rylee has never actually even seen a vampire. She feels more curious towards the strange creatures rather than fear. She is unaware of her rare blood type or the implications of the blood type.






Kahlan ● Hibiki

Kahlan took over the clinic after her late mothers passing at the hands of hunters. She hates them for what they did. But even though she hates them she cannot wish death upon them. She can't stand the smell of blood anymore because of the memory it brings up.

Riza is a... Special woman. If you'd even like to call her that. She wasn't birthed from the womb of a mother, no. She was synthetically created in a lab as a vampire. She was 'born' with a single purpose in her life: To annihilate all the pre-existing vampires from the face of the Earth. She accepted happily. It turned out, though, that Vampiric abilities weren't the only thing that made her special: Riza was created with the power to turn her limbs into blades. Though she thinks it's a cool ability to have, Riza has found out if she shifts her arms for an extended amount of time, she can end up with serious bruises and, worst-case scenario, even break the bones.






Dionis ● Tseus

Dionis had the pleasure of going through the delicate pleasure of being synthesized. As a result of her unusual birth and mere existence Dionis often wrestles with questions of immortality and existence. Why are we here? What is the purpose? If humans merely die in the end and not continue on after then it was all surely a waste wasn't it? These are but a few of the questions that occasionally roam the synthetic's mind. The actions of her "creators" are also thrown often into question. "Here is a society that is built mostly on lies and control, surely it is more wrong than those I hunt." This question supersede all other questions often and as such Dionis secretly resents those who orders she unwillingly follows. But while she grapples with her questions why not have some fun in the mean time? Her special ability is surely a means to that goal. Dionis is able to control water and all its forms, even going so far as to actually turn herself into water vapor. Turning herself into the element is used as either a means for passive defense or to sneak into areas otherwise cut off from her.






Beretta ● Xayalith

Beretta, better known as Bee is our third chain-smoking potty-mouthed fiendish addition to Trinity. She is an unquestionably skilled fighter, hardened by years of combat with the scars and fearlessness to prove it. Created from the early stages of vampiric experimentation, she was cloned from the purposes of research from one of the first ever specimens that had been secured by the Order. The origin of the specimen remains classified but has commonly been referred to by scientists as Project Venus. As an earlier version of synthetics, Beretta had been created as a biological weapon. Her ability is passive unlike the others as she possesses a type of blood that is highly potent and acidic to the vampiric kind. It will eat away flesh and in most cases lead to death if ingested.

● The Dome - A term for the building in the center of Newport City, the headquarters for The Order.


● The Order - A group of people who were brought together in order to find a solution to the vampire infestation. Leading military and scientific experts make up this group.


● Trinity - Three artificially created vampires, made by the Head Scientist with help from the Human Synthesizer. These vampires match in strength and speed of normal vampires, however, each hold a unique extra power that makes them each a formidable opponent to the elder vampires. They sustain completely off of blood substitutes, and are under the control of the Head Scientist and the Head Military Specialist. Their only duty is to find and rid of each vampire they come across. Sunlight does not affect them.


● Elder Vampires - The eldest, naturally. They are the strongest and wisest, the hardest to kill. Their blood is pure black and is poison for any normal vampire to drink. The humans they turn are stronger than normal vampires, having the elder blood coursing their veins.


● Rebirth - A radical gang in the outskirts of Newport City, headed by none other than one of the elder vampires. Here humans choose to join and sacrifice their human lives to the elder in order to come back as immortals to fight their communist government. In a sense the elder vampire is merely creating a vampire army shield around herself. The gang is known to get their wealth from dealing heavily in Pills.


● Pills - A collective turn for a form of drug for vampires, a human blood extract mixed with alcohol and different combination of human drugs. It gives an intense high and a blood satisfaction for awhile even if the vampire is starved for blood. Addiction can be very dangerous, and almost always leads to death. There are three types , B type , A type , and AB type pill, depending on the user's blood type preference.


● O-type blood - A blood type that is now (seemingly) extinct. The elders say back in the day there was no sweeter of a blood type.


● Full Moon - Normally referring to the gestation period of synthesized humans. Hopeful parents bring their DNA to The Order, and if the pair is accepted, their DNA is sent to the laboratory to be placed in synthesizers. Their birth takes a full moon cycle to complete.


● Newborn - A collective term for recently turned vampires, they are connected to their 'master' who turned them. It's more of a weaning period where the vampire who turned them must ensure their safety and help them to transition. This commitment makes it less likely that vampires will turn humans, and end up just killing them instead.

● They do not burn in sunlight upon first contact, however, prolonged exposure can lead to serious burns and psychological problems.


● Garlic does nothing. Don't smother yourself in it, it won't help.


● A bite does not turn and normally a vampire will suck their victim dry. Can only turn if they drink the vampire's blood as well after the bite.


● Stakes to the heart would kill anyone, human or vampire, wouldn't they?


● Removal of the head kills them as well.


● Cannot eat normal human food, it makes them very ill and ultimately they will vomit it back up.


● A week without blood will result in intense thirst, two weeks will cause hallucinations, three is intense psychological and physical cripples, and if they have made it this far, a month is the threshold with which a normal vampire can live without blood. In most cases deaths are around two weeks-three weeks.


● All forms of silver cannot be handled by a vampire's bloodstream, it reacts negatively with it. Small amounts can cause bad rashes and blistering of the skin, large injected amounts will harden with the blood and ultimately poison, suffocate, and kill the victim. Of course, injected liquid silver is more devastating than a silver bullet.
