Conan shook his head. "No everything is not alright. What happened?" He did not see Terra as much as he hoped but he enjoyed visiting her when he passed through. He remembered her step father of sorts. "Was it him again? I told him last time that if he ever touched you again I would kill him." The air in the alleyway got hotter. It would seem unusual since it was night time in the town but when Conan got angry he tended to use fire to show it. Conan had walked in the last time seeing Terra's step dad hit her. He told him to never do it again or he would end up a burnt corpse.

Iris watched as the fire breathing boy came over and started to talk with the girl. Seeing as they knew each other, she didn't feel she had to stick around for the girl's benefit any longer. With a silent nod at the girl's thanks, Iris pushed herself off the wall and turned her back to the ally. Before she was out, though, she heard a door open and close again. Looking back over her shoulder, she saw two others emerge from the hole. So there was something down there after all...probably a bar or pub of some sort...

With a small shrug, Iris took a step out of the ally and looked around. Off in the far distance, she saw a gleam...a gleam that reminded her of armor... "s**t..." Iris cursed under her breath and turned back to the ally, an aura of panic coming off of her as she passed the other people to find a hiding spot of any kind. She didn't want to be around when the soldier came this direction.

They had came out of the whole, Dylan and him too see three people at the end of the alley. Two female, one male, and the man looked none too happy. This is what the feeling came from, something was odd about them. That's when the air around them heated up for a moment. Fujiwara stopped and spun to face Dylan. "Did you feel that heat?" he whispered softly. "These may be others, like us, and I for one am not about to get put on some crazy quest. Lets just walk past them casually and pretend to be normal." He grinned and turned again, walking towards the three, whistling a fine tune, trying not too draw whole lot of attention.

Ofcourse he didn't know if they were together, or if they'd ask him to come with them, but he wasn't about to take any risks.

terra blinked as the air got warmer and she relaxed a bit, she had been feeling soo cold as of late which was odd since she was always soo warm. her grandmother just thought she was catching a cold but her mother knew it was her flame going out. terra sighed and wrapped her arms around her brother's waist and rested her head against his chest and whispered "yes he did but please don't kill him, he makes my mother's life comfortable". she could still remember the last time conan had been thou and threatened her step father, conan didn't know but as soon as he had left town and had been gone for a few days she had gotten the worse beating before this one

Dylan looked at Fujiwara. She then thought and noticed she actually could feel something there. She swallowed slowly. She looked up at her brother with innocent eyes as she listened. Others..? She always thought they were others but never met one. Always hoped t though.

"Try to be normal" She repeated to herself, if she can actually do that. She was really odd but she guess she can try to act normal for one and not get in trouble.

Conan was wrestling with the thought of killing the guy or not. Everyone was afraid of them. He should be no different but being married to Terra's mom must make him have a different view. After a while he calmed down before putting his arms around Terra. "Fine but this time your coming with me. No arguing okay. I have seen your mom around him and she is happy but that dies not mean you should get beat to keep her happy." He noticed that the alleyway was a little crowded now. He would end up staying the night in town. Even though his anger had lessened a bit the air was still warmer around him.

Fujiwara stopped dead in his tracks as they were passing the two, the darker clothed girl seemed to notice what Fujiwara had as well and had walked past him quickly. Great, this is just what he needed. Re-united with Dylan after a decade and now all that was threatened by soldiers. What was worse was that he had probably lured them here once they got word a stranger was overwatering the locals. He cursed under his breath as he thought quickly about the best route of escape. He wasn't sure if Dylan knew about soldiers, and how since the elementals had left civilization they had become hunted. Why He had not a clue.

The buildings weren't very tall, he noted, he could eap to the roof wih a little wind power he reasoned, the forest wasn't very far if he simply leapt rooftop to rooftop. Yet he had a feeling that they were oblivious to him being an elemental. he would wait first. Yes...wait too see if they passed him. If not, he would escape or fight.

terra looked up at conan wided eyed then she asked "you'd seriously take me with you, away from this place". she then stiffened when she heard a drunken call of her name and she looked behind them and saw her step-father stumbling past them. she held onto conan a little tighter a small light in her still very dim eyes at the prospect of leaving this place.

Dylan held on to Fujiwara's hand with both of hers. She was a little scared, she wasn't going to lie. And she was acting normal if you will. They would just assume they were a couple instead of siblings, since they don't look all that similar.

She thought of her mother and what she always told her. To not go outside. And what was that Dylan did? She went outside. She never listens but she looked the freedom. She couldn't help it.

Conan nodded. "Of course your like a sister to me." He saw Terra's step dad stumble towards them. He looked at him with hatred in his eyes. This was the man that had hurt Terra. He walked away with Terra before his eyes fell on the soldiers. "Terra we are about to run into a lot of trouble." He relaized that he was making the air warmer and stopped but it was too late. The villagers around him were wondering what was happened and many of them had seen him during his performance. He could always fight the soldiers but that would not solve anything. Though he was angry and it would help clear his anger a bit.

terra walked with conan then noticed the soldiers and she griped conan's shirt looking at them slightly fearful, she hadn't had much fighting time here in town but she knew she would be able to hold her own if they did anything. she looked at conan and whispered "let just keep walking unless they stop us'. she pulled him along with her by his hand. she reconised a few of the soldiers they were local boys, she had seen them around town when her and her mother used to come in together.

Conan smiled. "Sure that should be easy. Pretend to be normal around people who have sworn to hunt us down." If Conan had it his way he would have killed any soldier who dared to oppose them but he rarely got his way. Though he figured the soldiers coming to town was his fault. He had killed the group of highwaymen a little ways outside of the city and the only evidence of a fight were the scorch marks. Conan was an expert at swordfighting but he enjoyed using fire because he accepted his gift. He held her hand as the continued to walk. He was secretly hoping that the soldiers would stop them. That would give Conan the excuse he needed to kill them. His rage was already at a boil after seeing Terra's step dad and he was about to blow.

The man and woman not too far from Dylan and him, one of them was a fire elemental. Had too be, the only way to explain this ever warmer air. That, coupled with the fact that Fujiwara had cat ears and a tail did not help anything. The soldiers stopped, hands on their hilts as they watched fujiwara, who had stopped moving. The soldiers were closing in around them, they had recognized him.

"Fight or flee. Either way. Live." he told Dylan quietly.

"You there! Are you not the one who goes by Fujiwara Sai?" Called one of the guards.

"I am." Fujiwara said simply, he stood calmly, no need to temper the flames of battle when he could be peaceful about this.

"You are too come with us." The soldier said again. "We have...questions..." The last word was filed with threats of a thousand tortures, and Fujiwara knew it. They knew who he was, they knew he was a elemental. Surprisingly they were still willing to put up a fight to capture him.... again. "I think not." Fujiwara replied, and in doing so the guards unsheath there swords.
