Story....

May, 13th, 2013. Was the day the world was thrown into a frenzy when a new threat to the world had surfaced. A group of terrorist known as " Devil's grip" makes itself known to the world by bombing the most populated cities in each continent and revealing that vampires lived amoungst them. But these was'nt your average bombs, instead of flame and shrapnel, a strange purple cloud engulfs the cities for hours. After the clouds fade away the goverment begins to tell people it was just a hoax, till hundreds of people from the cities begin to come down with a fever after eight months since the suposid hoax. Docters had no idea of what had caused the people to break out in fevers. Seeing how the docters could'nt figure out what it was , the leaders of each continent gathered their best scientist to figure out what it was and if a cure could be created for the virus at hand.

Two months later....
Its been two months since the scientist starting working on a cure. They had no luck with the cure but they discovered three things. One of the things they learned was that those who came in contact with the purple cloud were infected with a parasite that grows over time. The parasite is known to jump start the brain when the vessel of the parasite dies.The second thing they discovered was that some people had a positive reaction to the parasite due to their blood type. Their had been reports that those who were immune to the virus, gained extrodinary strenght, speed, reflexs, hearing, dexterity, vision and durabilty had doubled.

Two more months later...

No one was ready or prepared for the outbreak that had took a toll on the world. at first they thought it was just a string of gruesome murders where each victim had been bitten. The news labeled it as " The Zombie Cult". That was the last headline and broadcast on T.Vs all over the world. About 65% of the world is now infected, 10% are now murderers and scavengers and 5% are fighting to continue the search for a cure and 20% were just fighting to survive.

Setting....
This will all take place in a city on the east coast.

Rules...

1. If you dont know the usual rules such as follow the gaia tos and guide lines. Also no god moding. If you dont know these rules by now dont bother joining.

2. This is a semi-lit roleplay, meaning no ** for actions and use qoutation marks when speaking.

3 Im not the type of person who can write a whole novel when i post so all i ask from my fellow roleplayers is post atleast one solid paragraph. I can understand one liners when 2 rpc's are conversating but dont make it a habit.

4. send your profile skele to me titled "Survival is key" and put a pirate emo so i know you read the rules.

5. This is a pg-16 to rated R. When it comes to swearing dont over do it. Cybering is also a big no no so time skip.

6. Treat everyone equally or else i will be forced to have your character torn to shreds by a swarm.

7. im alittle brain dead so if im missing any rules feel free to let me know and i'll add em.

8. If anyone would like to be a mod for this rp, please let me know cause i need help keeping the rp in order

9. Im hoping to keep this rp alive. I would appreciate it if people could atleast post once a day. if you could post more then once a day, feel free to.

Safe zones and war zones.....

Safe zones

1. The Kraken. A huge ice breaker ship where the last of the goverment is still working on a cure to save mankind from exstinction. They have more guns then people to use them so they will accept helping hands. This is their broadcast " This is the captain of The Kraken speaking. we can supply food, medicine and shelter to those who have not been infected. We will be at the docks everyday from sunrise to sunset "

2. The Cage. A nice sized prison with strong walls, caged windows and large reinforced fences. The Prison is a safe haven for families who cant defend themselves and who have'nt been infected. This is their broadcast " This is the warrden of the prison, If you can make your way to the visitor room located at the front of the prison without getting bit. I will have gaurds stationed at the waiting room to escort you into the prison, where food and shelter will be provided."

3. The Slums. A huge apartment duplex that is surrounded by a 12 foot tall concrete walls. This is where the bandits, hoodlums, cut throats and scavengers live amoungst each other. If your a member of the society you dont have to worry about any of them attacking you or going after your stuff so long as you stay out of their business. Their broadcast is " If you wanna become one of us you need to pull you own weight around here or else you can just stay out their and become a human lunchable "

War zones....

1. The city street at night is a very dangerous place to be since zombies roam the streets night and day. The roof top of most buildings is just as dangerous since large swarms of bats or birds would take apart any survivors who are dumb enough to be outside when a swarm is passing by.

2. The wilderness and waters are just as dangerous as the cities because alot of animals were infected as well. Most of the animales who are infected usually travel in packs.

Creature list....

Zombies = Slow and dumb

Swarm = Evade at all cost

Packs= Very dangerous in numbers

Aqua threat = swim with extreme caution

Chokers = Very tough. Also have a very strong grip

Tyrants = Hunters -Smart and can scale walls.

Screamer - shouts to alert others.

Roles...

Im not sure how many people will join the rp so each squad will consist of 5 members each till we get enough role players so each crew can have 8 members. Most crew members are immune to infection but that does'nt mean your character cant die from blood loss. Also, leaders of each safe zones are NPCs.

Roles

1. Squad Leader - Captain of the squad and in charge of supply runs. This person is known for their leadership skills.

2. Marksman - The crack shot of the team. If you got one ammo clip left, hand it over to this person. They'll make every bullet count.

3. Scout - The fastest and stealthiest member of the squad. When it comes to getting in and out of a building or finding the best escape route, turn to this person.

4. Medic - The squad's Doctor. whether its a stab, gun shot, bite or broken limb, this person can patch you up so long as they have the right supplies.

5. Fighter - The muscle of the squad. If there's a room that needs to be cleared out or you need someone to hold off a small horde, A fighters what you need.
