"Come here youngsters, Let me tell you about a promisin' place in the realm known as Armageddon. There exist a city once known as a tradin' check point for travelin' merchants, that flourished into a market and sports metropolis once people started settlin' down known as Destinova. A place where dreamers can come up to reach their goals and shady business blooms like flowers. One might say.

Folks from all over, far and wide gather in this metropolis for various reasons. Some by their own choice, others for the glory and fame, and those who have no choice nor freedom. Times are hard what with the wars happenin' on the lands outside leavin' many orphans to be sold as slaves in the black markets to highest bidder.

But you know as they say where there is light you'll always find darkness lingering. But it's the dark that lights shine their brightest. We can only pray Heroes will raise from the shadows to set things straight again or even perhaps make things worse... Best to do somethin' then nothin' becomin' food for them crawlers on the outside of the city.

Setting: Destinova is a near future fantasy, where mechs such as gundams don't exist and vehicles are powered by 1 of 4 energy sources : Steam, Coal, Electricity, or Mana. There are break through every now and again in the field of technology to lead the metropolis into the future. It is what happens when fairy creatures of old meet a modern to near future society.

Rules and Guidelines

-1) Follow Gaia's ToS

-2) No advertising of any sort (Unless it's mentioned through rp)

-3) Don't cry if you don't get your way

-4) No Spamming

-5) No Cybering - If a romance get's to that level you and whomever your interact with will agree to time skip.

-6) Do not us Ooc in the IC at all. If something is secret then it should be kept secret unless executed appropriately.

-7) Don't bring your rl drama into the thread causing drama for everyone else. No one cares.

-8 ) Be respectful to other authors, only disrespect between characters.

-9) Keep Ooc in the Ooc thread available. Don't clutter this IC with ooc talk. It will be deleted on spot

-10) Communication is key and prevents confusion. As well let people know you may not be able to post because of life, we all have one so it's understandable.

-11) Place LOCATION of your character in the post header so people know how to react with you.

-12) Grammer Nazi's can kick rocks. However no text talk unless your character is using it as a code of communication ( 'r', 'y', ur, brb, k, u, wat, lmao, lol, rofl, etc.) <-- Save those for for messengers plz. Post size doesn't matter all are welcome just try and give more then a single sentence if possible, unless you can get your point across.

- 13) Play as many characters as you want, as long as you can handle it. You can either post them all in the same post or post them in separate post. It's entirely up to you.

- 14) To those joining you can either make a journal entry for your character and send me a link or stick your character profile in the pm with the title 'Radiance'. You can play preexisting characters you've already made if you don't want to make a new character. Profile Skeletons will be below with more details.

- 15) Try to read every post to know whats going on, cause you never know if an easteregg is popping up or you wanna know whats going on. This does not mean you have to read 100 and something pages. At the very least the last page from the current if you need a catch up. If your still lost just pm or ask in an ooc.

Battle Rules

- No God modes

- No Auto Hits

- No Instances without build up mentioned

- Do not puppet another authors character unless given permission

- Again don't cry if the judge outcome is not in your favor as the end results

- No author bashing those will count as turn pass

- Know it all's : Because you've seen this ability before you suddenly know how to deal with someone entirely different using it. No not everyone's the same.

- Regeneration is only allowed at the cost of something such as Stamina, Energy, or you manage to draw it from another life form. And in this case Regen isn't an instant repair, depending on how big the wound is will determine how long it takes to heal.

- Heal Items are banned from all conflicts unless it's for plot purposes. If you need to heal rest after the battle or whatever.

- Superman's and Super Sayians : People who can do everything, run extremely fast in the blink of an eye, shoot a giant blast while doing something else are all frowned on. Unless you can pull it off in a legit manner, if not it'll be questioned. Also the destruction levels I don't care to much about, however you can do them and still make sense. Like you've saved up the energy for that one attack to be as strong as a titan's punch, but as a set back you just blew away your energy reserves.

- Clone rules: if you have a clone abilities your clones will only be able to withstand in a certain radius of the original user. The further away the clone is the weaker that clone will become.

- It is possible to be killed without consent if you act in a fashion that places you in such. Or you slipped up and got stuck. It's your own fault.

ECOSYSTEM Locations:
[ Here are locations for characters to traverse. It would be nice to place a location somewhere on your post so people can know where you to interact as thoroughly as possible. Though it's okay if you forget cause it happens. ]

Despaira Plains

On the outside of Destinova metropolis are plains that expand for miles and miles. There is a small village that sits on these plains, the village can be considered a place for those so low on Destinova's society charts that they end up here or can't manage to get inside the city it's self. It is a place that is rarely protected by authorities meaning it has become common place for the small town to be attacked by many of the beast and rogues that roam the plains. Yet there are farmlands that are watched over and harvested for the denizens of Destinova.

Destinova Metropilis

The bustling near future fantasy city of Destinova. The population has grown so large over the ages of it's founding, what with the different beings(Species and Races) from all over coming to settle in and trade goods. With the war of business's many shops and houses have been built so close that they are now being built on top of one another. Many levels to the city and many different races learning to co-op with one another. There are many 'Mana Refiners' harvesting the rich source from the ecosystem littered about. Because of the cluster of businesses and the rivalries there are many shady folks lurking in spaces where the light no longer reaches and City Patrol over looks.

Downtown Yellow Brick Broadway

The Downtown of Destinova referred to as Yellow Brick Broadway. The streets of the high life and riches, the place where all the rich and poor go to become richer or break every their life savings. It is the place where the average individual has a chance to become a star, be that in the local theater where plays and concerts are held or in a club as popular singer. There are various clubs, restaurants, casinos, and lavish hotels on Yellow Brick Broadway. Venders and street performers try their hands in this location as well. This is the spot where most celebrities reside. There is also a giant clock tower located as one of the land marks.

The Gutters (Destinova Slums)

The Gutters is Destinova's slums, the one place where those on the lowest class of society end up and a place considered to be the red light district. There are many poor and homeless the deeper you go and lots of crooks and criminals running the underworld in this place. Many of those who are forced to do manual labor are set up to live here. Should you ever find yourself in a situation where Lady Luck's given up on you, you can bet your soul you'd be thrown away in the Gutters. It ain't uncommon to find beast wondering this part of town having found their way through the aqueducts beneath the city, to come out and feast on leftovers. That's all the residence here are worth just leftovers to be disposed of.

Mana Refiner Labs

Mana being such a rich natural energy, has become more valuable then that of steam, coal, and even electricity. Refiner labs have been built all over the ecosystem to harvest this natural energy. Engineers, Alchemist, and Mage researchers have been studying ways to harvest and better manifest this natural energy. Distributing it out through the air, pipes, or cores/crystal gems that can be brought for the magic powered vehicles to function and other places that need this natural resource. These places are heavily guarded by city officials because of how valuable this resource is.

Nofu Town

Destinova isn't all dark and gloom as it may appear, on the north end near the bay is a nice humble town by the name Nofu. It's a suburb of sorts with barely any crime or shady dealings. This would be considered the residential light of the city, nice home and land to make a living. Most often those middle class and up stay in this area just trying to live ordinary peaceful lives.

Des Arena

Des Arena the place where the grand games are held as entertainment for all. Everything from gladiator monster brawls, champions vs champions, monsters vs monsters, gauntlet courses, sports events, and even public Executions all for the sake for entertainment. Many participants are prisoners that have been caught and locked up with the only options to die fighting for their freedom by becoming a champion or die like a beetle without legs. Other participants are men and woman looking to become famous for the glory, or attain riches. This was the only ""sanitary"" way The Grand Court and City Officials could execute and dispose the condemn & worthless and keep war feud violence tamed.

Destinova Sewerducts
Beneath the city is a complex labyrinth of tunnels and pathways guiding water and city sewage all over the metropolis. The city sewers system extends throughout the entire city with large pipes on the outer perimeter. Though these entrance are guarded, the many feral creatures tend to use these to slip into the city to find food (the residences). Because of this the sewers are homes to many creatures such as giant crocodiles, monster octopuses, rats of all sizes, spiders of all shapes. Those that don't know the layout can get lost as there have been cases of residences gone missing.

Saint'ven

Saint'ven is literally a floating fortress District that floats in the air above Destinova. This is were the highest of high class take residents away from the quote on quote commoners. The City officials, Grand Court, and Authorities all take up residence up here in this heaven away from the metropolis below. The only way to reach is through a magic platform that goes up with escort. One can fly here but it is heavily guarded by the Elite knights of Babylight who smite any and everything that trespasses unwelcome or those who aren't Babylight members. Those who sit as suppose gods pulling many strings and placing laws for everyone they look down on to follow or meet punishment.

Sinners Obelisk

Sinners Obelisk the place where the words freedom and liberty don't exist. The place where many rather not end up, it is the prison of Destinova. It's location is in a remote spot outside the city, those condemned that don't get killed on the spot are brought here. Every prison is stripped of their items and cloths only to be given a white jumpsuit with a strip matching the color of the block they stay in. It's not too terrible within given the food isn't bad, but it's not great either. Sinners Obelisk is heavily guarded and there are counter measures in place against abilities that often nix them. The guards have special clothing and helmets that protect them from super natural influence.

One can try to escape, but they'd have to run across a junk land obstacle course teeming with traps and monsters that aren't picky about what they eat. Prisoners can fight for their freedom since they have no choice but to enter the Des Arena games. The only other option is to rot and perish on the spot.

Banned Character Types:

- Superman : Having every ability in existence and shrugging off every little thing that comes your way.

- Already prepared Batman : Already having the gadgets for every situation without doing the investigation before hand. You need to do some detective work cause Batman only has

- Thor : God/Demi Gods are allowed however since this isn't a god realm your body will be affected by the ecosystem of the realm thus making you a vulnerable as everyone else. You'll still have your flying and all, you'll just have stamina and can get a crippling beating.

- Broken Avatars: Some how mixing elements and powers together that naturally don't mix to do something ridiculous. Such as Ice, Fire, Lighting to make some kinda of atom splitting nonsense.

- Multi-tasker : Doing 4 moves at the same time without any lag in between or canceling a charge up move to preform another.

- Naruto : I don't hate clones. I hate clones that are on par with the original and can go distances away from the original. With clones if your clone is far away the weaker they will become like a wifi signal.

- Instant Regenerator: Healing in an instant and super fast especially on large gaping wounds. If you are using regeneration it will require your own stamina or some energy source to do so. Depending how much damage is in the place of desired regeneration will determine how long it will take.

Factions/Alignments
This is where all characters will be listed and placed under one of the following alignment groups. Note it is possible to hop alignments just like changing jobs or switching sides. But it is best to be careful how you do it cause it can affect your Notoriety as you progress. Also the Faction only act as how the over all public will view you, if you are known to help people then they will think you a hero thus hero faction will be you group of interest and vice verse.

These are the men and woman who actually wish to make the Destinova a livable place for all. Those who go out of their way to help someone in need, or save people from disasters that the Babylight may not be able to handle. They often clash with the Babylight and are considered vigilantes since they don't always follow the laws lay out, but do things as best they see fit. They often clash with the Hades Coven criminals because of beliefs and ideals.

About

The Babylight are a vast organization that know nothing but righteousness and the generic term for Justice. They are armored men and woman who wish to carry out the Order of basking the world in absolute holy light to banish the growing dark permanently. They brutally punish sinners no matter who or how old they might be, as long as they break laws you are considered a sinner to be locked up or executed. They are free to go to any part of the metropolis as they wish though their HQ is located in Saint'ven and only they are granted a free pass as long as they remain loyal.

Hades Coven

About

The Hades Coven is the overall name of the crime underworld in Destinova. They are an organization of syndicates and notorious outlaws that just make life hell for everyone else. While they may have the do things how I want to do it attitude, they are all under the Hades Coven Pact and will meet from time to time to discuss business. They work the main streets of Destinova, The Gutter, and even Des Arena. They often clash with the would be Heroes and Babylight groups.

This is where those who are uncertain of what group they wish to be in, wanna start off without an alignment, or wanna play the lone wolf neutral card are placed. They are seen as the residences of the metropolis and don't draw a lot of attention. Some tend to do their own thing and can get in the way of the wrong crowd.
