Sometime doing what need to be done gets you cursed, yet those that fear to step into the darkness are the ones that are cursed.

Listening to Gwen nodding to her as pats Crescent, he moves back slowly as he looked at Gwen and the horse as she pulls it out of the stable.Diaz walks beside Gwen."Well you and the prince has a big job to do."He says to her thinking."Yea...From what Crescent is saying your not happy with your arrangement...But I think I wont say anything about it."He smiled he wasn't the type to run his mouth.
"So Lady Gwen is it just you and the prince traveling by yourself?"He asked as a fellow Knight he wouldn't let her take a trip like that alone. He seen the dangerous of other kingdoms."If you need an extra set of hands allow me to join you."He says to her as with standing with her. He needed to get away from the kingdom as it been some time since he had a long mission so he doesn't have to put up with rumors and the fear from some of the other knights.

She dropped tied the reins around the post and picked up a curry brush. “Well it will be the Prince, his personal guard Luxiferre, Tyra my personal guard, one of my brothers. If you want to come, then you can come if you want. But you could be putting your own life in danger.” she added as she groomed her horse. Removing and burs and tangles in her hair. Once she was sure there was nothing that would cause discomfort she picked up a deep indigo stable blanket and gently placed it on Crescents back making sure that when she set the saddle on it wouldn’t pull or tug at the hair underneath.

“Here can you put the saddle on for me? I’m a little short so I can’t place it on properly” she asked him handing him the saddle and glancing over at the others who were getting their own mounts ready. Her brother came rushing in, his own pack slung heavily over his shoulder and quickly bowed to the prince before dashing to his own mount and started quickly getting him ready.

Smiling at Gwen as he nods to her."Well risking my life is a normal day for me."He says nodding taking the saddle placing it carefully on Crescent and locking it in place for Gwen." So your soon to be Husband, Lux, tyra and your brother."He says calmly chuckling softly."Odd combination, I guess Ill join you then. I am only getting lazy sitting at the forge all day."He says calmly."Oh I am Diaz Cross by the way Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier."He says to her thinking he need to grab his gear."Ill meet you at the gate...I have to load up my horse and grab my things."He says to her as he looked to Gwen pets Crescent once the saddle was on her.

She patted her horse and smiled at Diaz “Well Sir Diaz welcome along to this strange and odd group of people” she chimed out watching him leave. Grinning Gwen attached her pack onto the saddle and lead her lovely horse to the others. “So we now have another Knight with us, His name is Diaz” she stated softly glancing over at Vice, wondering what his reaction to the fact that they only had just their small group to travel with. my father could have only pulled our guards if his father approved of it…

“Anyway I’m ready to go….I was telling Tyra that we could take the country road, if we’re leaving at night the country road would be safest and with a clear night like this one will be, the moon will be bright enough so we’ll be able to see” She stated softly again.

AMARA ELYSIA FAREED

User Image
How will they tell my story?
How will they tell my tale?
WILL ANYBODY EVEN CARE? I've nothing left to lose

so the only path to choose is TWISTED

Amara was taken aback by the kindness of this stranger, this Siegfried. People weren't typically friendly in the North, nor were they too fond of the well-known whore wandering about the streets. Most of the locals had learned not to mess with her, with tales of her adept ability with a knife preceding her. This man was very obviously a stranger. He was being kind to her, treating her though she were someone of near-nobility. With a start, Amara realized that was sort of true. She had been the candidate to help run the south from birth, and would have risen to some sort of power, had she not been banished from the land by her father. There was royalty and nobility in her blood, which her grace and sophistication could be attributed to. This man must have sensed it, somehow... or, maybe he was simply far more friendly then everyone else in the north.

The man before her exuded something akin to an otherworldly glow. Amara wasn't magical, nor was she super adept at reading others auras, but she could tell when someone was being honest. It was a tool of the trade, both from her days being trained by the various assassins and smugglers that found themselves wandering through the north, and from her nights working within the brothel. This man was not a threat. If anything, he was someone she could use in her travels. Though she could hold her own in a one-on-one combat situation, the world was a dangerous and terrifying place. She didn't have much, but she could offer Siegfried what he needed, if he were to help accompany her. She crossed her arms instinctively over her chest, a typical pose for the raven-haired beauty, as she listened to the man across from her speak.

"Nice to meet you, Amara. This kingdom is new to me, but i have heard stories of its state from locals."

"Yes, it's... it's managing, I suppose," Amara replied. The man seemed a bit reserved, as if he were holding back. His voice was like silk, but there was an unusual edge there. Needless to say, Amara's curiosity was piqued by the stranger.

"I was looking for work earlier in the day, I'm just looking for food for payment."

Amara considered this for a moment. She sighed, relaxing her pose to rest her hands on her hips, appraising Siegfried with small remnants of a smile on her lips. "You're more than welcome to join me, unless you have business in the North. I'm on my way to a farm on the outskirts of town to purchase a mount and supplies for my journey to the South. I don't have much, but I can certainly pay you in whatever you'd like with what I do have, if you need a job. The journey South is a long one, and a dangerous one, and I could use a bodyguard of sorts." Amara looked the man over before stepping forward and extending her hand to him. "What do you say?"

SANDS OF TIME.

Take me back.

Before it all went WRONG.
When love was but a SONG.
And tomorrow shown as BRIGHTLY as the sun...
Teach me to undo what's DONE.
Sands of time... TAKE ME BACK.

ANIVA SHIVAL; WARDEN OF THE NORTH

There were many questions that needed answering and as frusterating as it was she held the answers to so few, she had faith that fortune would be on her side. The soft whisper of a no pressed on through the plump of her lips.Lingering hesitation made her think upon her reply to the young elf, but she hadn't any reason to keep her nor the demon king. Their role was not to impose on her, but to aid her in the coing trials. Should they be swiped from her grasp so quickly she would have no values to barder. Aniva watched the woman skirt away, bidding the prince to a well-proposed slumber. It caused an arch of her brow-- how one man could be so easily moved she hadn't the slightest. Should that boy ever take a throne his weakness would have it snatched away just as quickly. The prince's words as she passed seemed to give her some reason to smile as he walked away. Daring to say that all kings come to an end ma have implied a threat to the demon king she would rather not argue about, but the smile seemed enough to jest the heir a joke before returning to her work.

She took lead from the advisor. With no more to say, she turned and made her rounds. The north was busy and flooded with rumors of the capitol's affairs. Word spread of the king's crowning and his wedding to the white knight's daughter that for some reason or another took years to finally get to this point. It was to be assumed that the two had marital problems having to to wait so long to bed one another, but it didn't matter in the end. In all reality, he would hold the title of king and a queen would pale in comparison to his authority. She existed only to birth the next heir and be a pretty faced trophy for the kingdom to gawk at. It was humiliating and insulting in her eyes.

As the evening came and the preparations for the prince's arrival met,she felt the time had come to return to her personal chamblers. Her feet fell heavily to the floor, a look of exhaustion wavering on her face before turning to something more perplexed as her nose twitched. Something familiar lingered in the air and although she didn't go darting off to hunt it down, she felt her path leading her closer and closer to the source. Standing outside of her door, the cause was consise and the open door led her to a sight she had not seen in sometime. She entered calmly, but shut the door hastily as not to allow prying eyes to linger while catching sight of the aqaintance so old she might even consider him a friend.

"Elrich, it's been a long time." Doe eyes turned to observe any recognizable changes and came to realize she had altered the lighting, causing the underground room to become even more concealed in the blanket of night.

"I suspect you had no troubles coming here, what brings you to visit?"

[ OOC: // Yo, I've been trying to keep up with everything so far, but someone make a small note (kind of like a setting/time skip) when the prince/everyone gets to the north. Since they're a big group of characters it would be nice to know just when they change regions. ]

She turned and looked at Gwen as she walked over, getting up on Mary. "Good. The more people protecting you the better." Tyra stated, turning so that she was looking at Diaz. "Hope your as good with a blade as you are talking." She was teasing, of course, but someone had to. The mood was too stiff for them to be starting an adventure. Sure it was dangerous, but why make it boring too?

User ImageThe Mother's nose had crinkled at the lack of respect the male had; Byron or whatever he called himself; should've known to at the very least bow a head in respect, especially if one couldn't comprehend how to bow. Though choosing to ignore the male and his ramblings she focused her attention on Elisse, her eyes narrowing further, "That means you Ought to work on your skills, child. The kings men have far more skilled people than this Individual, I can assure you of that!" she hissed, a low hiss in her voice; the hiss was one to remind her that she can be replaced.

Her eyes shifted to the door, some heat appearing them than vanishing just as fast as it had surfaced at the sight of Lily. Of course the female would come to check out what was going on, that wasn't cause for the heat, the heat was from the stab of jealousy she could feel at knowing this was another female that could get her son talking in more than a brief few words. She gave a nod to the advice, than turned her attention back to male at hand. Taking her time to study him, "Very well, you may join, but and this is your only warning you'd do well to show your superior's respect, I don't tolerate disrespect, and my darling Son tolerates it even less from handsome males such as yourself," she purred, her voice soft as silk, though carried an all to real warning in it.

Alexander was rubbing his head slightly clearly gaining a headache, from everything going on. Part of him was getting feeling they shouldn't trust the male, nor did he trust that the name given was a true name; sounded much to foreign on the tongue. He gave Lily a bit of a nod prior to her leaving the room. Letting his hand drop he moved it to caress Dusk whom was resting on his shoulders. He longed nothing more than for peace and quiet at the moment.

The Mother smoothly moved closer to Elisse, her hand coming to cup the girl under the chin. "Oh and I do agree with the advisor, should he cause problems YOU have to take care of it,"she purred, her touch may be gentle but in a heart beat she was willing to squeeze so tightly that she could leave dark bruises in the aftermath; though her touch was remaining gentle. Before straightening, "Now I suggest the pair of you leave now... just toss him with the other foot solders...." she commanded, though her eyes remained on Elisse to give a silent indication that she didn't care if the male ended up in her chambers so long as she is up on time after playing babysitter.

Elisse's expression went blank at her answer. "Far more skilled my butt. I know you guys hate me but the fact of the matter is, I'm good at my job, if I wasn't I wouldn't be here. Given that fact, I'd say him being here on my recommendation is a massive sign of good faith..." she explained. She snickered a bit at her warning to Thum'Lor though. She wanted to make a comment about pretty women disrespecting him, but she let it drop. That one was a bit too far.

Once Lily left, Elisse found the older woman's hand under her chin, she remembered quite a few shenanigans she'd pulled in this pose and questioned if the woman had learned anything from the previous time. Despite the deathgrip that threatened to bruise in the morning, she still had a smile on her face. Once released, she rubbed her jaw and then said, "Yeah, yeah, if he screws up I'll take him out." she said nonchalantly. " Oh and by the way, he's not my type. Your son on the other hand..." she stopped there and pulled Thum'Lor out of the room giggling like a madwoman. She proceeded down the hall quickly, honestly hoping the woman wouldn't follow and continue the argument.

A warm laugh poured from Lux at Vice's scowl. Honestly it was amusing to see his face scrunched up like that. Quietly he listened as conversation passed between the stable hand's wife and the prince, though a surprise in a saddle bag piqued interest. Brush was brought to the stallion's coat while the older man worked on the mare. When blanket was tossed over teh steed's back firm legs nearly skipped, the animal excited for a journey. Gwen and Tyra passed, the first bringing news while the second scowled. Pulling all the guards was an intriguing departure from demanding the carriage and an armed escort but Lux merely nodded. "Very well."

With the second stable hand returned Lux stepped away, letting the woman work her magic on the stallion. Silent steps followed Vice outside of the stables and into the open air. Attention turned to the faint but growing stars before falling once more to the distant and dark reached of the forest. He understood why the prince was drawn to the twinkling shapes but they only reminded Lux of a time before the castle, before the war, before the oracle spoke her prophesies. A sigh escaped pale lips softly, Vice's question breaking the silence and drawing attention once more.

Brows furrowed, body turning to face the prince where he stood staring into the darkening sky. "Why would you need to ask that? Do you not already know the answer?" A soft laugh burst forth after a moment, thin form turning back toward the east. "Do not tell your father this but I often have difficulty seeing you as the prince..." Emerald gaze returned to Vice, glimmering with amusement. "I like to consider you a friend foremost Vice. What had brought this on?"

Elrich Silvend

Personal Assassin Of The Royal Family

Location: The Northern warden’s quarters
Company: Aniva
Thoughts: Sweet little Aniva making more deals with the devil..

Once the girl neared the door, the man’s senses were heightened. A subtle smile painted his face, as he knew it was Aniva. Once the door was opened there was no denying the fact. Not many people stood at her level, other than the dwarfs. ”Indeed it has ,miss Aniva.” The man rose from the comfort of the chair and slowly made his way across the cold floor of the room, arms folded across his chest. Nearing the new ruler of the north, he halted a few feet from her. ”It's quite easy avoiding trouble when your not seen." Elrich smirked. "And someone has to make sure your doing your job right,” the man stated jokingly with a playful laugh, answering her question.

Elrich grabbed the young woman's hand and kissed it above her middle knuckle, as well as knelt down out of respect for her new position. It was almost surreal seeing the young woman with so much responsibility. It was not what was expected in his mind only a few months ago, prior to her uncle’s passing. Nonchalantly, he tracked back to his chair to rest. It was a long journey from the capitol on foot, but when you must move in secret sacrifices must be made. The man lifted his right leg and placed it across the top of his left knee. His hands rested on his lap, fingers interlocked. ”But on a more serious note, I’m here concerning the arrival of the prince and his bride to be. I’m aware with who you dwindle in business affairs with, I only hope you hadn’t planned on starting the revolution this early in time. It would be of great inconvenience to me. Besides, your far to pretty to play the bad guy. Though by looking your kingdom I don’t question your ability, which is why I am here.“

There was an almost unnoticeable breeze flowing through the room. It brushed the back of the man’s neck, sending chills down his spine. He had strangely missed the cold weather of this place. The way it made him feel was energizing. As Elrich waited for her answer, he could not help his mind from wandering to a different conscious state. The side of him wanting to know How the girl was doing, and what her plan was exactly to have reason to barter with such a cynical individual. Not that Aniva nor Elrich were anything similar to a saint, the question still boggled him.

User ImageThe Mother sighed in utter annoyance but smiled, she valued the females having spunk to them. Though she knew she wasn't criticising the girl's talents in the least. Merely pointing out to not slack off in training. One had to be in top form when dealing with the kings people and she knew that first hand. She waved a hand dismissively after the male had been dragged out. Gliding over to her Son she proceeded to discuss with him the different poisons she wanted him to learn.

The first poison being a gas, a miasma to be breathed in on the battle field; even if it was at the expense of those that didn't notice him flinging an easily broken container into the battlefield. The next poison is to be rubbed onto his dagger that was always in his left side boot, one that was corrosive to skin but wouldn't tarnish the dagger. The last one was to developed an immunity to poisons that can be slipped into food and drink alike, so that when he used it for occasions of dining in an area the enemy was dining in he would be able ingest the food and not die from it just get ill. With that she bayed him a good night, moving to slip out of the room to head to her own.

As the Mother walked she wouldn't bother the girl after all she needed her beauty sleep.

Once Alexander was alone, he let out a groan rolling onto his front; he didn't trust this new male as far as he could throw him, and as it stood he didn't think he could pick him up; he couldn't shake the feeling the new guy was going to do something to disrupt everything. On top of that he didn't know the first thing about poisons and now he had work with them; he would just have to learn by trail and error. Looking up from his pillow, "...I don't know if I can sleep now... my head is Pounding..." he noted aloud to his bats, turning onto his back petting which ever landed on his chest.

The man was afraid of nothing really, for if he left this world he would only be except back into his. She crossed her arms, and she looked at him in the eyes, he smirked when she started to talk about her journey and possibly needing some help. Virtues body leaned back a little giving him a little more height over her, this whole time he was slouching a little, his joy in the offer of food was noticeable... then again hand any man a ticket for lunch and he would more then happily accept.

As he stopped now fully standing he spoke, "Interesting proposal." The man rose a hand to his hair and ran his hand through his bangs to make his eyesight more clear. he seemed to look around a little as if thinking. He was trying to feel if this was correct... it would bring him more knowledge of the kingdom, and fighting a fight people off could always be fun. He nodded a few times to himself almost and regained eye contact, "For food then, my services are yours." His mind was telling him to demand bacon, but he couldn't be to specific. His presence here was merely circumstantial, this women might end up needing no help, or Virtues could end up getting blood on his blade. He added, "Lead the way, I would, but our destination is unknown to me." This girl could withhold knowledge he needed of maybe entrances or ways to speak to the good king, but first he would have to learn her legion and her self goals.

Virtues, or Siegfried would be able to remove his sword and remove the lower large branches of a tree. He took up a decent amount of area, this man wasn't getting on a horse, this journey would be on foot for him. Luckily for Amara he did not get fatigued that easily.
                                                                    ☸☸

XXXXThey days all blended together into one, long, boring year. Every day was exactly the same, and Mya found that she wanted nothing more than to get away. Everyone in town looked at her as if she was crazy, as if there was something wrong with her. She hated it. She hated them. Her job was menial, serving food and drinks at the local tavern. She was not even worried about men attempting to hook up with her, as everyone knew how she was, and they would tell travelers. This meant that everyone left her alone and Myra like it that way. Well, not everyone left her alone. Her parents were always hounding her about finding a husband, so that she could move out and start a family of her own. She didn't want to, but they didn't care.

Getting home, Mya closed the door and slid the bar across it. Because they were poor, this was the only form of defense they could afford. She knew her parents were still awake, they always waited for her to get home. She turned around, looking at them both and knew right away that this was going to be a night when they got into a fight. "Mya.. We need to talk. Sit." Her mother said to her, Mya looking from her mother to her father then back again. She then pulled out a chair and sat down. The air was thick with tension as she sat there, looking at them. Finally, her mother spoke. "Mya, you know we love you. And we want what's best for you..." She started, Mya's father suddenly placing down a sheet scroll of parchment. It unrolled and Mya read the words at the top. 'Document for Arrangement of Marriage'

Mya stared at the scroll before her, then stood slowly. "No. I will not do it." She stated firmly, her mother opening her mouth to protest, but the glare that Mya leveled onto the older woman caused her to look away. Mya then looked at her father, who had not looked at his daughter once. "We are doing what's best for you." He echoed his wife's last words, but it did not seem to sink in. Mya picked up the scroll and threw it into the fire. Her mother dove on it and pulled it out, quickly putting out the fires on the edges. "I will NOT, get married to any man that looks at me as if I am the bane of his existence!" She yelled, then turned and climbed up the ladder that lead to her loft bedroom. She spent the next few hours there, listening to her parents argue about her as if she was not even there. When finally her parents had fallen asleep, she grabbed her bag, packed what little possessions she had, and crawled out onto the roof through a hole in the thatch.

Mya left her home, and did not once look back. She simply walked, going back to the tavern where she worked. It was very early morning, not long past midnight when she walked through the doors, sitting down and putting her hands over her face, her elbows rested on the table. She had run away, and she knew what that meant. She could never return home, not that she wanted to, but it also meant that she was vulnerable. The central area had been her home for her whole life, and while she did not live up close to the castle, she could see it from her loft room. She hated the castle. Hated the king. Because of him she was hated, out cast. He took her friend, her brother, from her and lead everyone to think that he had never existed. She wanted to leave, but she did not know where to go.

•>>•Night had fallen, a deadly time when the fear and hopelessness set in. Doors and windows would be barred, no little kids would be out running around. When Night falls the villagers shut themselves in and pray to make it through till the next sunrise. Many wouldn’t but, even with the guards and sentry abound. The dark army would be attacking soon, they always did. Grabbing his sword Derrin walked briskly from the study that had become the war room, past the many rooms in his home which held many refugees who had been driving out of their homes due to the war...well the dark army, since only his lands were under siege. “Sir!” Derrin glanced over at the voice behind him, not stopping his brick pace to the armory. he had to done on his gear before heading out with the others to defend what they could of his lands. “What is is Alfred, I don’t have time to chat” Alfred his personal assistant rushed forward with a note waving in his hands. I have a letter from the platoon in the forest Derrin sntached the letter reading it quickly before crumpling it up and tossing it aside “I told you, there is nothing we can do, If I send more men to aid them the villages will be left unprotected. Furthermore why haven’t the generals pulled back? I told them it is pointless to try and battle the arm back. We need to focus on the people, and defending homes.” He snapped out slamming open the doors in the amory and starling the men who were already in there. They could feel the angry roll off him in waves as he set about dawning on his armor. He really didn’t have time for this crap, his generals were ordered to pull out, if they didn’t follow the orders given to them, then the countless death of young men would rest on their shoulders not his...Dammit of course it rest on his shoulders, he was their lord, it was his duty to supply support, try and win this war that it seemed no other lord was facing. Not even the good king himself seemed fully aware of the war, or even cared.
