"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world."
....Zelna didnt get any sleep. But that was a usual thing for her. She hasnt gotten a night's sleep since the accident. A slight chill went up her spine when she thought about it, shaking her head she returned to her book about the different types of dragons. Even though she no longer had a dragon she still wanted to learn about them, to understand their language, to understand their meaning of life. Was their meaning of life the same as the humans? A sigh escaped her lips, closing the book she stood up, glanced out the window at the sun to see what time it was. It was almost ten in the morning. She would be training the priestess again today. A small smirk formed as she began to get ready, remembering how the priestess has a plague of being late for her training and despite not being able to become the dragon priestess she was more than happy to train the one who was going to take her place.
....When Zelna stepped outside she heard the sound of nature, the wind blowing between the trees, the animals running about and chirping, she felt at peace. She took in the smell of the thick pine trees before exhaling slowely, then checking to see if she hadnt forgotten anything. She needed to meet the priestess out in the courtyard some miles away from her home. She never minded the walk, it gave her time to think. As what she always did.
.... Zelna walked her usual path around the trees and shrubs, never in a hurry. She looked up at the sky, her glassy red eyes staring at the light blue sky, painted with white clouds. She sometimes wished to be up there, in the sky, riding on a dragon. She wanted to feel the cold air skim across her face with slight force and speed. She wanted to hear the wind whistling in her ears and the loud thumps of a dragon's wings keeping itself in the sky. She shook her head again and focused on the road ahead of her. Before she knew it she made it to the courtyard where she was supposed to meet the priestess for training. She dropped her arrows, sword and bow on the ground and sat on a rock formed bench, awaiting the arival of her student.
