Valora was listening to the back and forth when she heard the warrior Bjorr spoke toward her and she turned her head toward the male. She smiled and shook her head, “oh no thank you though. I am perfectly okay with staying with my pups, they need me, please you go hunt. I will be fine.” She smiled and wagged her tail just a little. Shortly Rook shouted that she would lead the second group and the small fae jumped in surprise. She had gone from getting asked to join and lead the hunt to seemly getting a warrior to take over her rank. She appericated Bjorr’s offer to watch the pups but she is the provider of the pack, she loved her pups dearly and would never ever leave them for a hunt. She looked at the hunter Aven when she joined in on telling her to tag along. She simply smiled at the female and shook her head, “Thank you but I am really okay with staying behind. I am not much of a hunter anyway.” She said softly and hoped that they would drop the subject.

Quickly the scouts appeared and she smiled, Good she thought With the numbers larger we should be able to enjoy a fresh kill. she hoped at least. She stood up and started to back away from the hunting chatter, as she wasn’t going to attend she really didn’t have to listen to everything. She hoped that Galiath would understand why she couldn’t attend and wouldn’t be too upset with her. She had been trying to prove herself to the alpha, but with how shy she was and her past she feared that nothing would happen between the male and female. Her heart ached ever so slightly as she stole looks at him. At least until she heard the voice of one of her older pups, turning her head she looked at Maxie and smiled at her. “No sweetie, I’m not going and maybe on the next hunt you can go with the hunting party. Just a little longer before Alpha Golitah takes you on your first real hunt.” She said with some pride and sorrow in her voice as she watched the hunting party moved out, she gently bumped the shoulder of the pup, “Come along darling, we are going to have our own hunting adventure.” She smiled and licked at Maxie’s ears.

She knew that the almost yearling would quite enjoy that and by the way she was turning out it seemed that Maxie wanted to try and become a hunter, and she would try and do her very best to make sure that she was at least “trained” well enough to not make a total fool of herself. She was sure that whatever she found Maxie would get close to but as she wasn’t too big she wasn’t going to allow the little one to track anything. They were going to play hunt, where Valora was the prey and Maxie the dangerous hunter. “Ready Maxie? You must find, me.” She smiled and sat down. “Now count to seven moons and come hunt me.” She nodded and waited until the young wolf started to count before she padded away from the den site a few wolf lengths but laid in some bushes and covered herself with some snow making it quite challenging to scent her out.

What a beautiful, beautiful morning! Although the crisp fall air sent a cold chill through his fur every once and a while, Castiel was enjoying it to the fullest. Fall and Spring were his favourite seasons as they were not to cold and not to hot. He enjoyed spending most of his days out and about when the weather was like this. Though, winter would soon be coming which disappointed the healer. He loved snow, but he hated the cold harsh weather that sometimes came with it.

With his nose to the ground he had been out on an early morning mission, his eyes and nose were working to find a special leafy herb, and he had asked his fellow healer Makoce to help him. He wondered if the fae had actually found the herb. Not realizing how far he had actually traveled out of the pack, he came to an erupt hault at the river that bordered Uktena's territory. He blinked a few times and stared at the river. His mind became very clouded and he backed away from the water. He hated it, and if it wasn't for some of the rocks to hop across the moving water then he'd be stuck on the territory for a life time. He wouldn't be able to go out and hunt, nor would he be able to leave the company of the pack to have some alone time.

With his ears pinned against his creme colored head he slowly backed away and turned to head back to the pack. With Goliath's howl sounding through the area, he smiled. Just in time!. With a flick of his tail, the healer jolted forward and headed towards the densite, but on his travels back his eyes caught sight of the leafy herb he had been looking for. "OHH!" He wagged his tail frantically and he picked them up, and with a mouth full he returned to the den site. He was defiantly late for Goliath's call. Though with winter coming, he hoped that the Alpha would accept that the healers were constantly buys looking for herbs so they could prepare for the winter. Last thing they needed was running out of herbs to help packmembers, that would be one of Castiel's greatest fears. Without herbs, sometimes it can hurt a packmember so much they could die. Death was something Castiel feared. Not for himself, but for others. Being a healer sometimes you are faced with a life in your paws.. And Castiel is constantly worried he will fail and accidentality kill a pack member. Some say that ridiculous and if he thinks that way he shouldn't be a healer. Though Castiel thought many times to leave the rank, healing was what he liked to do best. He liked to take care of others and make them happy and healthy!

As he arrived, he slowly but shyly joined the group after dropping the herbs off in the healers den. He flicked his ears around and when Goliath asked who would join him, he piped up in a quiet and soft voice "I will be glad to join the hunt with you Goliath" His ears were still pinned back submissively but also shyly. His tail was slightly tucked beneath him, but not over submissive like. He wasn't weak, just utterly shy! Goliath agreed and they were set off into a group with Aven, Zheana, Rorin and Hati. Castiel bubbly stepped up to the group and with a smirk he spoke a little boldly "Lets show that other group whose the bestttttttttttttttt!" He hummed and then in tow with the others they set off.

Soon enough they had arrived and pinpointed a large injured buck as their prey. Goliath gave instructions for each to split up - Zheana would be with Castiel. Castiel nodded and followed the fae as they headed west. It would be an ambush manuver. Castiel was excited to get out there and start running, and chasing of course! As they moved west, against the wind, Castiel was sure to keep quiet. He wanted to chat with the fae, well make her feel happy and ready for the hunt but he knew better. As they crept, and watched the buck, Castiel wagged his tail a little. Sitting in the bush, it was a matter of time before the buck turned away from Goliath and bolted. Wrinkling his nose, he waited and suddenly there was a loud howl and the Alpha was tailing the buck. Zheana gave the good ahead, whenever Castiel was ready, and he nodded. He'd take the first hit.

Have not hunted for a bit, Castiel watched the buck and as it neared him he lunged out of the bush, He lagged behind slightly be he growled and picked up some speed to herd the buck right towards were hopefully Hati and Rorin were waiting. He snapped his jaws, but with every attempt of landing a hit.. He missed. At least he was able to herd the buck east, and hopefully the two brutes on the other side would be able to get a decent hit from their surprise attack!

Rorin waited patiently for a reply and it seemed some other wolf had something to say about the matter as well. Varko spoke up and told the leader that the 'poor thing' should be able to join as well. Really, speaking to Goliath in such a manner even made the Omega look at the other with narrow hues, what was a he thinking? He was pretty sure the Alpha was capable of making such decisions on his own and didn't need some other male to butt in. However Rorin said nothing about it and simply kept his submissive stance while the leader was busy sorting his mind. After a comment from the Alpha Varko left to join the other party which was lead by Rook and Rorin eyed him as he left before bringing his attention back towards the dark furred wolf.

Goliath was kind enough to admit him attendance to the hunt and the Omega just had to smile, showing his joy towards the other before nodding and following suit when he started moving. Pride soared trough his core and he had to remind himself to keep a respectful stance and one paw back from the rest of the group, letting everybody else walk in front of him. Falling back as the group moved, after Zheana had returned to tell the tale of a stag. At first Goliath was hesitant about hunting a full grown stag, which was a wise move, considering the lethal horns they possessed. Also it could and possibly would draw unwanted attention towards them, however it might be a risk worth taking as it would pretty much feed more then half the pack. Licking his lips the prospect sounded tasty and tempting and Rorin agreed to whatever the leader had to say about the matter.

Reaching the spot they were supposed to Goliath told them to split up and the Omega listened to his orders well. Apparently he was going east with Hati a strong and capable wolf, with a respective nod he mentioned to the silvery wolf he was going with and let the male lead on. Right now the Omega showed no obvious signs of submission or weakness, because such things were dangerous out in the wild. He was merely respectful and still let others have the glory spot in front of himself. Hiding within the bushes his ears were perked. Listening intently to the sounds of the forest.

A howl erupted which was the clear signal on the hunt starting. Watching from the crack in the leaves he saw Aven and Goliath chasing the large and wounded creature. Rorin made himself ready to pounce, but saw Castiel suddenly jumping out and trying to attack the stag. What on earth was he doing? He was supposed to wait in ambush after Rorin and Hati had scared it. No matter. It had happened and healer failed at any attempts of eating the creature whom was now panicking clearly. Luckily it was slow and clumsy due to the wounds, fear clouding it's judgement. Thinking quickly the Omega saw the stag going straight for them, he couldn't let Hati he spotted and perhaps if he distracted the stag the leader or Zheana could get in a proper hit. There was no way Rorin could when the creature was directly facing towards him. Bolting out of the bush in quick succession he worked to startle the creature with a deep snarl and a fake swipe towards it. Of course the stag evaded and tried to charge at the Omega, one sharp object nicked the wolves shoulder, but Rorin ignored it and continued to taunt it, bouncing forth and back, confusing it so that the rest could have a better chance at getting a hit in.

Bjorr's tail couldn't help himself as he looked from wolf to wolf as they spoke. It was only until Goliath spoke that his hind ceased and his ears perked to listen. Glancing, Bjorr immediately recognized Varko joining them. This pleased the wolf as he was fairly fond of his warrior ally. To say the least, they worked well as a team. Do not get greedy, do not get cocky, be smart and respectful. Bjorr noted the commentary to heart. He had practically engrained the policy to heart, making it easy for Bjorr to keep his hackles straight. He watched as Rorin approached, another wolf he quite liked. Though the might have not talked much, Bjorr liked the omega's nature. He was a peaceful beast, to say the least. Opening his mouth only to shut it once more, Varko had beaten him to the punch. Let Rorin join them, of course! Bjorr stood and took a step to get a better look at Goliath's response. He looked to Varko, providing him with a nod of agreement.

At the mention of a group and joining the second party, Bjorr's eyes searched for a particular fae. Things were moving fairly quickly, but he consciously reminded himself that his offer to stay behind and watch the pups still stood. Valora had addressed him, to which Bjorr turned to face her. To say the least, the wolf was certainly responsible. Puffing his chest ever so slightly, he provided the fae with a direct nod as if he had just received orders from their own alpha.

"Of course, Valora," he stated, "I promise to bring back something good for you and the pups, then." With that, he couldn't help but immediately loosen his body and take a single lope over to her side. "My treat!" he called, light on his feet. He was still young and fetching a meal in her honor made him happy. He wasn't making any attempt to impress her, but instead he highly respected the providers of his pack. With a short and dismissive lick to the fae's muzzle, Bjorr hopped to and trotted after Rook and her team.

As he trotted back to his group, he noted that Whisper and Ghost had joined them as their patrol. Looking to Varko once more, Bjorr couldn't help but let out a short snort as he bumped into the sitting wolf. His nudge was intentional, as if to playfully put him off his feet. He was a goof for any pretty fae and Bjorr knew that fiercely. Then again, his beloved Varko was equally Bjorr's competition…

"Come now, Varko. Let's show the lady that we warriors can be just as graceful as the hunters," he laughed, though kept his voice hushed as if he were loaning imperative advice. Bjorr wasn't, however, as he merely teased his warrior brother. Easing into a close seat beside Varko, Bjorr eyed Goliath's team as it trotted into the woods. Looking to Rook expectantly, Bjorr's tail beat the earth.

"I'm ready when you are, Rook," he commented to the fae. He was on all fours at that point, willing to do as she pleased. It was evident on his expression that he was just as eager as she was to get going. Not only was he excited, he knew he had some promises to fulfill to bring a meal back and wouldn't stand to see Goliath's spoils before he even stepped out the door.

xxxxGhost was glad that Whisper was also excited to go on this scout/hunting mission. Even though it didn’t necessarily mean she was excited because he was going, he was still pleased that she didn’t seem to mind his company. She asked him a question, and he opened his jaws to answer her when Goliath spoke up again. He separated the wolves into two groups, and answered Whisper’s question as well. The two of them would be going with Rook’s party, while Zheana and Hati would go with Goliath’s party. Yes, Ghost was definitely excited that he’d been partnered with Whisper, instead of Hati being partnered with her.

It seemed to him that the other brute was also interested in the fae. It was part of the reason that Ghost really hadn’t made his feelings for Whisper clear, because he was unsure of how she felt about the other male, and if she preferred Hati’s company then he didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable around him, knowing that he liked her too. It would just make the situation weird… So he kept his feelings for her quiet, though he did still like to try and spend as much time with her as possible. It was easy, them both being scouts, even though Hati was as well.

Alright, Rook! Whisper and I will scout ahead and get this thing started!” He said to their group leader, after Goliath’s group had taken off. It was time for him to get his head in the game and stop thinking about pretty fae’s! He was quick to rise to his feet and head out of camp in the direction they’d been designated, keeping his nose up and sniffing carefully. He also made sure Whisper stayed nearby.

Suddenly a scent crossed his path, and he perked up his ears in excitement. Ghost was quick to make sure he wasn’t in a position where the wind could blow his scent in the direction of the prey, lest it scare them off. He slowly crept forward, signalling Whisper with his tail as he did. It wasn’t long before a small group of deer came into view, and his eyes scanned them, looking for any who seemed old or sick, that their group could take down with ease. His eyes stopped at one deer that was straggling behind the others, and he nodded to himself, before backing away.

Going to his hunting party, he quickly informed Rook and the others of what he’d found, excited to begin.

The white fae’s heart skipped a beat as Goliath said he’d be honoured to have her in his party. Her ears perked up and she gave a wag of her tail in response. Then she had a thought. What if she messed up, or did something embarrassing like tripping over her own paws? Then she’d just look like an idiot in front of him and that would be horrifying… ‘Please, please, please don’t let me mess up!’ She prayed, making a small face. Then she turned her attention back to the Alpha, and waited for further instruction as he got things organized. She nodded at his wise words; kill only to eat, not for sport. Then he sorted the scouts, and they were finally ready to take off. She jumped to her paws and walked over to him, ready to go. She did her best to push negative or worrisome thoughts from her brain, focusing only on the hunt now. It was extremely important that they brought back food for the pack, and she wasn’t about to let her brain mess that up!

Zheana, one of the scouts, seemed particularly excited. She was hoping about like a rabbit, eager to begin. At Goliath’s call to begin, the scout took off, Hati following her. Aven was quick to begin heading in the same direction. Sniffing around for smaller prey, she moved along patiently while waiting for Zheana to report back. She had earlier reported deer, and so Aven hoped she’d be able to spot them again, that would be perfect to bring back, for sure! Aven’s hopes were answered as Zheana ran back, reporting a stag sighting. She wagged her tail in excitement, and followed after the scout as she led the group back to the area where she had seen the stag. Goliath was quick to begin separating them for the kill. Zheana, with Castiel following her would go west. Hati and Rorin would go in the opposite direction. Aven would be going forward with Goliath. They wouldn’t be the first to attack, seeing as she was with the Alpha and he was usually the one to make the final, killing blow. Still, she hoped she’d have a chance to show him what she was made of.

She realized after a second that Goliath was looking at her, and she blinked, realizing that perhaps he wanted her opinion. This was a perfect chance! She ran over the plan in her mind. “This is a good plan, Alpha Goliath. The scent of both Hati and Rorin will definitely scare the stag. Our position will give us a chance to catch it if it happens to run in a different direction than where Zheana and Castiel will be waiting for it.” She gave him a grin. “You make a good hunter after all!” She teased.

The group soon separated and her and Goliath headed in their appropriate direction. She opened her jaws to say something to him, wanting to start a conversation somehow, but she didn’t know what to say… “Uhm… So how’ve you been keeping, Alpha Goliath? Hopefully well?” As they reached their hiding spot, she positioned herself. Her stance was tense, ready to spring into action at the call. She too, used this waiting period to look at the stag. Aven agreed with Goliath’s thoughts. The stag was injured, making it perfect. It shouldn’t give them too much struggle either. It was already nearing it’s death bed… Her muscles twitched in anticipation, as she began thinking of how they were going to take it down. Suddenly, Goliath burst forward, calling her to go, and she leaped after him, breaking into a hard run.

Rook looked over the hunting patrol for a moment or two longer before listening to everyone with a grin on her face. Before she finally decided it was time for them all to get things under way. “Alright everyone let’s get this hunt started. Whisper, Ghost were counting on you” Rook replied as she allowed the two scouts to lead the way hanging back with the rest of her patrol so that the scouts had enough space to track without anyone getting in their way. Until Ghost returned to the rest of the patrol with news of a small group of deer up ahead. “Great job now it’s our turn to have some fun” Rook spoke up nodding her head thankfully to Ghost before taking the lead. Keeping herself downwind and out of sight of where the deer had been spotted until she could see the group and the deer that ghost had mentioned was straggling behind the group.

It wasn’t hard to tell that something had happened to one of the deer’s back legs, that hadn’t quite managed to heal correctly from what Rook could tell. This was good, all they needed to do was give the thing a good run and it was bound to trip up with a leg like that. Especially when it was panicked and not paying attention of where it happened to be placing its hooves. If they didn’t manage to catch it and bring it down before hand of course. “Well boys and girls here’s your chance to show me just how graceful you warriors and scouts can be. We’re going to aim for the one in the back there” Rook announced as she signaled out the deer at the back of the group that ghost had pointed out before. “It shouldn’t be difficult to separate from the rest and with a back leg like that were not going to have to chase it for too long.” The Huntress explained.

They were close now and it would be risky to try and sneak any closer and hope to remain unnoticed. It was time for the real fun to start! Signaling to the group to begin with a flick of her tail the Huntress sprang forward startling the small group of deer into panicked run.

A deep howl caused Cerelia to rise along with the other companions around her who had been sleeping. She greeted them all with a yawned good morning and gave a few greeting nuzzles after having a most satisfying stretch. Leaving the den, she was greeted with a beautiful morning, the crisp air only helping to wake her up more along with the pleasantly chirping birds. The faint rays of sun peeking over the horizon and through the trees warmed her pelt, creating a very nice combination of warm sun and chilled air that was a close second for Cerelia’s favorite type of morning following misty ones.

The howl appeared to have been from Goliath, who was seated upon the meeting log, and everyone was gathering around him excitedly for something. For some reason Cerelia couldn’t hear him though and when she tried to ask those around her what was going on, their mouths moved but no sounds came out. This, quite understandably, freaked her out. She scurried away from all the wolves and was soon running through the woods, for some reason feeling the answer lay out there somewhere. She didn’t notice that she was nearing the river because she was looking everywhere but ahead of her for the “answer” and she soon fell into the icy waters…

Cerelia jolted from her sleep (for real this time). She reached a leg up to scratch behind her ear while she thought on the odd dream that had seemed quite real, at least until she stopped being able to hear her pack mates’ voices. After taking a look around the cavernous den, she realized to her dismay that everyone else had left already, leaving her by herself. It was a bit discomforting for Cerelia, to go to sleep nestled beside all of your pack members only to wake up with everyone gone. It made a shiver go down her spine. She stood quickly, shaking out her silvery-gray and white coat before trotting out of the den to investigate where everyone had gone.

She had slept in through a good portion of the morning it seemed. Only a few wolves seemed to be left around the densite. The provider Valora seemed to be starting a game of hunt with the pup Maxie. None of the healers appeared to be there, nor any scouts or hunters or warriors, or much of anyone really! It then occurred to Cerelia that maybe her dream hadn’t been simply a dream. It was very possible she had heard Goliath’s howl in her sleep and maybe heard some other commotion from the pack which had resulted in her strangely real fantasy. It was most likely that the others had gone out for a big hunt. Not much else would draw away the majority of the pack like that, unless some serious trouble had occurred or something, but that was unlikely.

Letting out a ‘hmph!’ and feeling like a lazy fool for sleeping through a call for a hunt, Cerelia padded toward the edge of the clearing, scenting the air and then putting her nose to the ground near the edge of the forest. She could smell her pack mates, and she could smell that they had split off into a couple groups going different directions. They must not have left too long ago, but it would probably just be best for her to stay there. She didn’t want to end up ruining any hunting plans that had been established already without her or wind up scaring off whatever prey they might be hunting. Ugh, well this is going to make me look bad… Oh well, guess I better make myself useful somehow. She thought to herself with a frown.

She contemplated what she could do. Perhaps a brief patrol around the den site to make sure no danger was about, maybe go on a small hunt of her own, she could join Valora and help play with and teach the pup… In the end, she decided a patrol would be best. With so few wolves left at the den site, she should probably keep an eye out for any possibly threats. It was uncommon for bears or rogue wolves or mountain lions to venture too close to the wolves’ territory, but it happened, and it was up to warriors like Cerelia to keep the pack safe from such things. So, with a new purpose set in her mind, Cerelia headed off at a graceful saunter to scan the perimeter of the woods around the Uktena’s area. She hoped the patrol would be uneventful and that when she returned the hunts may over and her pack mates returned to the den site.

Makoce bounded happily after Abadiah and felt privileged that the older male was taking the time to move logs or leaves to show her their usefulness and importance. She especially felt touched since he was doing this all while walking upon his bad leg. While she was too young to know all the details she knew the basics of what had happened to her mentor and was saddened such a thing occurred. If anyone deserved a mate and all the pups they could wish for it was Abadiah! But she never spoke this out loud, afraid she might unconsciously annoy him or act as if she were rubbing salt in fresh wound. She didn't want him to cast her away like her father did! So she kept her mouth shut while still feeling thankful that she was able to spend as much time as she did with him, no matter how guilty she felt that their time might had been taken by a pup that was actually his. Makoce shook her head trying to clear it when a soft scent hit her nose causing her to reply to Abadiah's grin with a soft yip of her own. Jupiter was near by! She novice tread carefully after the older male duplicating his steps and sniffs but not quite paying attention until she nearly bumped into him after he stopped so abruptly.

She was going to ask why until she caught the scent of an unknown wolf and her eyes traveled towards its owner. Immediately she shied away not taking into account that the other was many yards away from her, across the river even! they were still way to close to Jupiter for her liking. Finally when the wolf turned to leave she trotted down besides both mentors offering a soft yip towards the female. Makoce was too nervous to make a louder noise or even a sudden move in fear that the Sioux wolf was just the first of an ambush.
"Are you alright?" she asked carefully.

xxxxT h i s morning, Storm woke up and when she emerged from the healers den she took notice that no one was awake yet. Good. This was when she decided it was he perfect time to head out into the forest and start scrounging up herbs for the healers den. Moving back into the den she checked the shallow dug holes in the ground for what she and Frost had left from the week or two that had been taken the last time either of them went out to find things to stock up with. Honestly, not a lot was able to be stored for it worked more efficiently while fresh, so her list was small but consisted of: Ash Seeds which were used to fight pains in a wolves side, Cobwebs which could be used like band-aids to assist in stopping heavy bleeding, however it wasn't an essential for there was a high chance of infections. Usually, every day, healers get fresh Dandelions, and Daisy Leaves for they are of abundance anywhere you go, and they are used for everyday treatments no doubt especially in a pack such as this, however it being the end of winter they were much harder to find because of the cold weather killing most plant life. Dandelions were commonly used as a sort of pain killer when the leaves were chewed, however, more in the spring and summer months the stem holds a white liquid that can help soothe and heal bee stings. Whereas the Daisy Leaves can be chewed into a past and spread onto achy joints of wolves. She also needed Oak Leaves for when dried they can be placed on wounds to prevent any infection from taking over the wound. The only other thing she'd spend time getting today would be finding some sticks that wolves can use as to bite when they are in pain to attempt to make them feel better... they were a great help, especially during the birthing process.

xxxxA couple hours were spent gathering the supplies on the list she held within her mind, she used a beech leaf to carry the various items in. With a folded over leaf in her maw she crawled into the healers den. Gently she placed it on the ground and it instantly fell open exposing a few dandelions, daisies, oak tree leaves, and even a few ash seeds. Storm was good at her rank and she had only learned from the best, sure this pack never had ranks until within the latest year, Azazel's father never cared for a hierarchy for everyone within knew who was who... most of the time. Storm didn't really mind the new ranking system. She wanted to be strong like her father, she'd assume he would have been a warrior but with what happened during the war... she felt as though she'd never be as strong of a fae as her father. So instead, she chose to be a healer when the time came for picking ranks. Probably because it was the non-ranked pack members who acted as healers who saved her life three years ago. Even though she lived within the sadistic pack most still valued their lives, therefore, why not give herself the opportunity to provide that for the pack? That is if they were on her good side, lets just say she had ways to kill wolves, be it a long painful death, or a instant death she would decide their fate. Most healers had this power but the difference Storm had was she had a special concoction that she knew of that would kill a wolf instantly, it was a secret recipe and no wolf knew she knew this, not even the Alpha. She knows it works, for she even used it once. While gone she had heard Azazel's howl echo through the den site, however, she was uninterested at the time for she was busy fulfilling her duty.

xxxxL e a v i n g the healers den that was located beneath a large tree she kept her back to the pack as she sniffed around the roots that surrounded the den for any interesting growing plants. Approaching paws had caught her attention but she ignored them, only until she had little choice to do so for she was rubbed up against. Fighting the urge to snap at the male as she turned she seen Jawaahzi standing there. She then was asked to remove something from his paw. Cocking her head low she took notice of a pine needle sticking out from his pad. Those were painful ********, she looked at him with scrutiny. Any wolf could easily do that themselves... but as a healer it was her duty to help. "Lay down it would be easier." she ordered. Once he laid down and twisted his paw out for her she placed one of her own on his so he couldn't move as she attempted to remove it for him. Bringing her mouth lower she felt her nose and upper mouth curling against his paw as she attempted to grab the longish needle with her teeth. It took a couple tries but she finally managed to get ahold of it. Tugging a couple times and pushing hard on his paw with hers she eventually pulled it from deep within his pad. Instantly spitting it out she began licking the pad for it was bleeding lightly. "There." she stated, "It may be tender to walk on for the next few days but make sure you keep it clean at all times Jah, don't want to risk infection." she stated sternly, it was up to him now to keep care of it, she did her part. Yet another set of paws were headed her way, turning her head she soon seen Akela trotting towards her with a hunk of meat in her mouth. Cocking her head she wondered what the fae was up to, surely her most recent patient wasn't that hard up he couldn't feed himself! The she-wolf then stated that she'd brought her breakfast. Keeping herself from looking too surprised she left Jah's side and moved closer to Akela, "For me? Oh you shouldn't have!" there was a hint of both sarcasm and gratitude within her words, she wasn't one to say thank you so that was the best she'd get. Grabbing the meat she moved to lay before the den entrance like the has something in there to protect and she placed the meat between her two front paws and started gnawing on it instantly. It wasn't fresh kill warm, but it was still fresh and bloody, oh how she loved the taste of wolf blood. It hadn't really taken her long to demolish the chunk that was brought to her and she started cleaning herself directly after, she was a happy wolf right now. All fed and watered. Realizing Akela for sure was still there she looked at her, not really knowing what to say, perhaps she'd have something to say... or even Jah if he was still around?

No one would see her curled beneath the brush, golden eyes burning like an open flame in the shadows that hid her. She peered into the forest, confused, at first, as to what had woken her from slumber; There were no scents that could allude to another predator, no sounds of paws or hooves snuffing the earth. And then she noticed it, waning like the end of a melody somewhere in the distance-- a howl. Her ears perked as she stared ahead, the sound driving her heart to thump in an irregular pattern. She had traveled far from her homeland, spent the coldest nights alone wondering if she was padding into an oblivion, if the packs were even real. And there, a siren straight out of the myth itself. As the howl began to fade, Castilla unfurled her slender body and squeezed from beneath her make-shift den.

The strain of travel had not gone without weighing on the black fae; Her once solid stature had wasted away, having survived on rodents and weasels for most of her journey. Her fur seemed haggardly draped over a thinned frame and unkempt in some parts where she had trouble reaching, but her eyes were alive like molten gold and betrayed the passion she held inside. They shifted across the untrodden path she’d taken refuge on, in the direction the howl had emanated from. She imagined a powerful brute atop a flat rock, a legion of wolves bowed before him as he addressed them. It sent shivers of anticipation up her spine, driving her paws to move even if she was uncertain of the direction she needed to go in.

Indeed tales of Uktena and Sioux had spread far beyond their territories all the way to hers, a thousand moons away, where adults told them like anecdotes to troubled pups to make them behave; “Be good or the Sioux will come and eat you up,” they’d say. She had always believed them and it seemed the closer she had gotten to this place, the more real these stories became. Sioux not only existed but did , indeed, feast upon wolf flesh.. Castilla would be a liar to deny the curiosity it inspired when she thought of hunting one of her own and tearing into it like prey. What did wolf taste like? Maybe that howl had belonged to the mighty alpha of Sioux? She’d heard so many stories of his brute strength and viciousness, some claiming he was a demon with yellow eyes that bore into the soul and ripped it out by the roots. The howl had certainly come from a wolf with authority.

Castilla was, without a doubt, exhausted by her journey, and trotting now felt like thorns stabbing into her sensitive pads but the idea of being so close, energized her. The flume of her tail waved in the air like a banister as she navigated the unfamiliar territory. It wasn’t long before she came to the border of a territory belonging to Uktena, but she wouldn’t know who it belonged to until she found the wolves living there.

Disappointment was a hard thing for the young pup to hide though she'd do her best, after all, she didn't want to ruin the fun for Valora. Surely it was no fun to babysit a moody pup. It was time to start acting her age, sure she was a pup but she was no baby. There would be other times and she sat quietly beside Valora, watching the hunting groups run off. It was then that it was brought to her attention that eventually, Goliath would be taking her out on her first hunt. She couldn't help but to wag her tail, letting it brush across the ground as she swayed it from side to side. "Really? You think that he'd take me out on a hunt?!" And immediately, her eyes grew wide with excitement. She had always wanted to go on a hunt and never had she imagined that Goliath would be the one to take her. "I want to catch a rabbit! I heard they're the fastest of all!" And she was still learning the differences between their prey. Soon enough, she turned to face Valora after the fae bumped her shoulder, apparently ready to get going.

It didn't take much work to get Maxie on her feet as the sandy colored pup eagerly bounded after Valora. "What are we hunting today?! Can we hunt rabbits?! I wanna help so bad!" Maxie yipped, trotting after the fae until they came to another stop. After the announcement, Maxie was silent, pondering the task. Would she be able to find Valora? The ground was still covered in snow and if the fae tried, she would fit in perfectly. But who was she to ruin the fun and pass up a game? "I'll find you in no time! Better go hide!" Maxie eagerly yipped, getting ready to pounce but it wouldn't be that easy. She had to hunt. Which meant that she didn't get to just pounce on Valora, she had to find her first. With a grunt, she turned her back to the provider who had decided that they play the game. Closing her eyes slowly, she began to count. That was one thing that she was good at. "One moon...." She started, peeking open an eye in hopes of spotting Valora as she made her way to her hiding spot. Nothing. "Two moons..." She spoke up again, looking around for a brief moment. Still nothing. This wasn't fair! She'd never find Valora in this snowy mess!

"Three moons..." And once again, Maxie found herself looking around impatiently. There was no way she'd find her if she got to seven! She perked her ears before slowly raising herself from the ground, making her way towards the den in hopes of finding Valora. "Ready or not, here I come! I'm gonna find you now!" Maxie chimed, starting to look at the ground for any signs of evidence on where her sitter had gone. The densite was cluttered with paw prints from fellow pack members, she wouldn't be finding the provider through her footprints. So, it came to the task of trying to sniff her out which was just as challenging, if not worse. She couldn't quite get a trail and after a few minutes of trying to find Valora, Maxie decided on another method. The pup ran full speed towards a large pile of snow, deciding that the best way to get the provider out was to scare her. Scared prey always ran!

Finally, she got close enough to the pile of snow to jump and that she did, sending snow everywhere as she let out a huff. Valora wasn't hiding here. She sent a look around the densite, trying to figure out where the fae would have hid. So many options and Maxie refused to give up. She was going to try them all. She checked pile after pile, sandy fur covered in snow as she looked for Valora. She had promised to find her and she intended to do so. She wasn't going to give up. No siree.

Crouched low in the self made funnel she nestled into, Zheana breathed quietly and slowly as her eyes were kept sharp onto the stag that was walking about nervously after having caught wind of Hati and Rorin. It was still a bit of distance from where she and Castiel were, but it was slowly making its way towards them. 'C'mon you stupid beast!' She urged mentally as it took its bloody sweet time to decide if it was safe enough to keep on venturing. 'Just a little closer...' Muscles in her legs were tensing, coiling up like a spring ready to make that sprint to tackle a hit when it was within range. Ever more cautious, the deer tip toed its way closer when suddenly, it raised its head and Goliath raised the howl.

The deer startled in a panic and as predicted it chose the direction away from the scented wolves it detected and straight for the Scout and the Healer. Zheana readied herself for a pounce as she waited for the precise moment to attack when Castiel suddenly pounced up beside her. "No! Not yet!" She hissed as she frantically tried to stop her partner but it was too late. The stag had caught sight of him. Letting out a frustrated snarl, she dug her claws into the earth and hurled herself towards the chase. With Castiel not being in perfect range, he had misjudged the distance and giving the beast enough time to outrun the Healer and miss his snapping jaws by a few millimeters. Thankfully, her partner had the sense to corral the beast back towards Hati and Rorin, but it looked extremely dangerous when its single antler was also running head first for them. Catching sight of Rorin jumping out, Zheana thought she saw a flash of red appearing on the Omega's shoulder, but it all happened too quickly and she couldn't be sure when the two were dancing about in jerky movements and that's when Zheana saw the opportune moment as she whizzed past Castiel in her chase to catch up to from behind and she used her speed to give her momentum as she reared herself into a bounding leap that she missed with her gnashing jaws, but luckily sank her claws straight into the beasts already opened wound on its rump where her heft and fall of the jump tore the flesh opened as she landed. Rearing up from the sudden pain the beast let out a shrieking cry as he spun his large antler around to ward Zheana off and it twisted itself on its back ankle that nearly sent it crashing to the ground if it hadn't caught it's balance just in time. Quickly backing off, Zheana kept snapping her fangs with barks and snarls as the beast snorted and bellowed from its lungs as he was quick to fall back into a defense position, though now limping heavily with a large opened wound and on the verge of tipping over again from sheer pain. Zheana had thought she would have taken the beast down with her hit alone, but clearly, it had will and was stronger than she thought as it brandished its single antler about, refusing to give up just yet, despite the odds of it not being able to last taking a couple more hits. Keeping her distance away from its head, Zheana backed off in a short retreat behind Hati, Rorin and Castiel to give herself time to recuperate and get herself set for another round if needed and let her partner, Scout mate and the Omega keep the beast at bay while letting Goliath and Aven take the lead as planned when they caught up.

Aven watched as Castiel leaped too soon and the stag caught sight of the healer. A frustrated growl escaped her as the frightened deer bolted and escaped Castiel’s attack. What had the brute been thinking? He should have been paying attention, she thought to herself. Her and Goliath were running to the scene, and she watched for Hati and Rorin. It would be up to them to try and contain the situation after Castiel’s misunderstanding. Hopefully the scout and omega would be able to keep the stag from getting too far ahead of party. Rorin suddenly burst out of his own hiding spot, scaring the stag further. He gave a false swipe at the deer that easily evaded, and then tried to attack the omega who simply moved around, avoiding it. Perfect, this should give Zheana a good chance to get in there and weaken it, so that when Aven and Goliath got there, they could finish this thing.

Zheana darted in at the perfect moment, leaping and sinking her claws into the stags wound. It let out a pained and frightened cry and tried to ward of the white scout, stumbling around. Aven still couldn’t see exactly what was happening as her and Goliath were still not close enough. Having made her attack, Zheana backed off; giving an occasional snap and growl at the beast that was still kicking, while also retreating far enough that it couldn’t get to her. Finally Aven had caught up to the group though. Quickly her eyes collected information from the scene, and she made herself ready to give an attack. One or two more hits should be enough to take it down. Wouldn’t it be perfect if she could be the one to give the final blow? Of course she wouldn’t though, that was the Alpha’s job, she reminded herself.

Turning her full attention to the deer, she darted in, planning on clamping her jaws down on a leg to drag it down for Goliath. However the stag turned at the last second, and she had to drop into a slide to narrowly avoid getting hit by its remaining antler. Still, she was determined to get a hit in, and instead of backing off, tried for another attack. The stag reared back, threatening with its hooves before bringing them down. She gave a small yelp as she was unable to get out of the way enough in time and a hoof nicked her side. She scurried off to the side, not wanting to take a chance at another attack.

Stupid, stupid…’ She chastised herself. This was a perfect chance to show the Alpha that she was a great hunter and she blew it.

ooc: This is crap. I really didn't know what to do with them. Maybe someone wants to plot along with us? • ωιтн: Fisnae • ʟocαтιoɴ: outside densite.

The idea of alone time was being considered by the fae that Nycro had brought it up too. Some alone time from the pack was greatly needed. They were a bunch of whiny bitches sometimes and quite frankly Nycro didn't want to sit around all day listening to bickering and snarling and snapping. A day out exploring the forest and spending time with Fisnae was enough. As the white brute eyed the alpha, Azazel was soon occupied with the two faes that had approached him. Nycro grinned and his eyes gaze turned towards the rest of the pack. They wouldn't say anything to the pair, hell none of them held a high enough rank! If anyone were to say a thing, Nycro would surely teach them all a lesson. He grunted and nudged Fisnae forward. "Now is our chance." He wagged his tail and slowly he slunk off into the brush around the den site. He turned his eyes to make sure that Fisnae was following and that no one else would dare follow the pair.

He sighed as they were several feet away from the den site. The voices of the pack and the growing and snapping of Azazel's battle were growing fainter and fainter. He kept a decent pace until they were far enough where no one could hear them, nor scent them close by. He sighed yet again, this one of relief. He stopped and walked along side Fisnae, keeping pace with her. He let out a yawn but he shrugged it off with a few shoulder rolls. "So, want to venture out of the territory today? Or stick within it?" He asked giving her the decision. He was never one to make decisions between the two, as he always liked to do what she wanted. The white brute looked towards the direction they could go to exit the territory. "We could go to the mountains, or farther down the river. Anywhere away from that hell hole is better." He chuckled and then stretched out. "Orrrr, we could simply just stay here. Have a little fun." He chuckled darkly and started to circle around her. His body close enough that their fur bristled a bit. He thought many times of mating her. She wouldn't become pregnant now, it wasn't the season. He could however smell her coming into season slowly. Just the scent of fae in breeding season was enough to drive a brute mad.. Especially if he was already so attracted to her. He rubbed against her side again and nipped under her maw before stopped circling. He sat down and began to groom his legs and chest as best as he could while he awaited her answer.
