The night was young, and the humans were all so lively. Young generations wearing flaunting clothes and teasing anyone and anything with weak inhibitions to their breaking point. Old men fawned over the revealed skin and even Claus could see the way they struggled to maintain their facades of innocence. These woman though, they all knew just what they were doing, and how to make it worse. It made a thin grin appear on his pale face. Such weak and disgusting creatures. All of them. Taunting greedy and lusty shameless creatures and it only got worse with every passing generation.

A deep chuckle emanated from him as he watched them flit about like brainless flies. He was in a popular club at the moment on the second floor. He leaned over the railing and had been watching the dance floor for his entertainment tonight. Nothing good happened against the walls of these kinds of clubs anyways, usually something dirty was going on and Claus had no interest in witnessing or watching something as depraved as that. It was when he saw a young group of what he assumed were friends leaving the club, since it was almost three in the morning he took this as his opportunity and pushed off the railing, following them with his eyes as he too left the club.

Now was his turn for some fun.

It was easy enough not being noticed as he followed them from across the street. They were all loud, probably drunk or they might have taken something since everyone had a passive attitude and peer pressure was a leading cause to all human decisions. He smirked and then slipped into an alley quietly. He found it easy enough to scale the building, reaching the roof where he could have his play time.

He settled in and then watched as he lifted and waved his hand a bit, twisting his wrist as he warped the shadows of the alley just ahead of them. It was a simple trick, a flickering of the darkness. Perhaps they'd seen a man, or maybe some beast with claws reaching out as if it was trying to escape the darkness to get to them. He saw their steps falter and their level quieted down. A chuckle escaped him as he watched them play it off and continue on. He twiddled his fingers a bit and made a cat jump out of nowhere from behind them and run through their legs. It bared it fangs at the yelping children before disappearing into the alley way. This seemed to stop them in their track and he could sense the apprehension coming off the group.

He giggled as they huddled together in anticipation, even going so far as to cross the street and pause almost right under him. He grinned and then picked up a fallen brick by his feet. How easy. This time he wouldn't even have to use his powers! He aimed it just right, since he didn't want to really hurt any of them before dropping it. He watched as it sailed down and then slammed and scattered close to their feet. They jumped and screamed, a couple looking up at him in shock, though thanks to a bit more of his 'magic' they would see nothing but an empty roof top. One of them even yelled 'what the hell is going on?' in an attempt to hide his own wet pants with a show of 'bravery'. This alone made the djinn let out a malicious laugh that echoed over the group, the girls letting out wails of fear.

Well now that it was late, Claus decided in returning back to the inn to get some sleep. He still had his job to do after all, and staying out so late already, he'd be lucky if he could get up tomorrow, if he was needed.

                                      ◆ ◆ ◆

After such a long night of frightening and observing the humans, Claus was exhausted. He had fallen into his bed as soon as he had returned to the inn at around four in the morning and fell asleep right away. He slept through the day and all the noise outside of the club. Even when the bar and dining area seemed to get more lively, Claus only ignored all the noise coming from downstairs as he put his pillow over his head, wanting to sleep more.

It was when he heard a loud noise did a sigh escape him. Looks like he couldn't sleep through work. Instead he took his sweet time getting up. His hair was a mess and so he went to the bathroom and then took a nice hot shower to clean off his night before and ready him for an evening of hosting people less repulsive than the humans.

When he got out he simply brushed through his silky hair, leaving it to dry and settle in a more respectable fashion. He slipped on his 'lazy mans' attire of a simple black shirt, with sleeves that hung low on his shoulders and a pair of dark gray slacks to pull it all together into something akin to proper so that the stiffs downstairs wouldn't be too disappointed in him. He let out a small yawn before slipping on his necklace, a special charm that hung on a long brass chain, the final touch to his outfit before he was heading downstairs, ready to greet more customers (if he had too) and prove that he was indeed a good host.

Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?

User Image "Oh no..They're here.." Quickly, tiny Michiru padded downstairs to her basement, where she swiftly shut the door behind her and turned off all of the lights. She hurried herself down the stairs where she hid under them and made sure she was deafly silent. "It's going to be okay...mommy..and..daddy are going to be okay..I'm going to be okay.." Michiru covered her ears and closed her eyes while she slightly rocked back and forth as tears streamed down her face.

The screams upstairs intensified as she heard things beginning to get knocked over and loud shouts were heard. "Please! We just want to live in piece! We aren't here to hurt anyone!" That was her mothers voice, but then her father came running into the room. "Unless you fools give us a reason to!" He yelled loudly at the humans who to Michiru didn't seem to back down or be afraid. "Stop...please..." Michiru whimpered silently to herself, then she heard it the final yelps of both her parents. After her parents had been killed there was nothing but cheerful laughter and a celebratory moment.

Michiru breathed heavily but quietly, just as she was about to get up footsteps could be heard wondering down the stairs. "Ah.." Michiru quickly sat back down and covered her mouth, she watched above her as the feet of a human marched down the stairs. Terrified now, Michiru's heart beat fast. Just as the man was about to look under the stairs, someone had called him back up. A few seconds later, she heard the door closed, then the tears began to stream down her face. "Mommy...Daddy..." She cried.

--

"Mommy..Daddy..." Michiru mumbled before sitting up in a cold sweat, Michiru held her hands out in front of her. They were shaking violently. "Another..N-Nightmare.." She said as she slowly lifted herself out of bed, she stood for a moment, trying to maintain her balance. Once she was fully in control of her body, she made her way to the bathroom, where she took a nice hot shower, Michiru leaned against the wall and tried to forget about the nightmare she had awoken from.

Once she was all clean, she put on her outfit for the day and cleaned up her room before closing the door and going down the hall and dusting a little, making sure everything else was nice and tidy. "Looks spiffy!" She said with a bright smile on her face. Once Michiru was done dusting, she realized she hadn't ate in a while and her tummy was growling quite loudly. Michiru hummed a soft melody as she made her way downstairs. Her face lit up as she saw Claus standing there.

"Claus!" She said as she ran up to him and hugged him, she looked up at him and smiled."Sleep well?" She said rocking back and forth on her heels as though she was anxious in some way. "I am quite hungry, aren't you?" She asked as she grabbed a free roll that was offered to anyone that walked in. "I know staff isn't allowed to usually eat these,but..don't tell on me okay, Claus?" She put her finger to her lips and made a 'shhh' sound and then giggled and began to munch on her bread roll.

She had always saw Claus as someone to look up to, he was like a brother to her. At least that's what she thinks of him as. Michiru was always the one trying to bright up the room and even Claus once in a while had a hint of cheerfulness on his face when around her. Michiru frowned. "Bleh..it's a tad stale.." Her voice was pure and innocent like that of a small child that's been through a lot. Michiru ate the rest of the bread roll and began making sure the tables were set correctly.

Tonight, too, you have a blank look in your eyes,
as your hesitating shadow reflected in the mirror
mischievously becomes even darker,
and takes a grey-colored breath.

Now, resist! This is a slowly precipitating world.
Shouldn't where you stand be some place different?

I tut-tut at the overly embellished lies,
and fly off with my feet bare.
With my shackles removed, what's left
is my laughably foolish but yet sturdy strength.

My chest starts to throb to the point of being helpless,
as I force open the night's window.
Yes, I shall do everything as ordered by you.
You will rule the world.

It seemed that with humans, there were a whole variation of colors. In their eyes, the world could either be black, white, gray, or whatever other rainbow spectrum they'd come up with. Seylan always found this fascinating, and it was always interesting to watch and observe the humans when they were young and innocent and slowly grow into jaded adults, most with sharp edges and no curves.

As a god of death, Seylan tried not to remember how long he'd been watching them, reaping their souls and sending them off onto a path only those things higher than himself would choose. Living in this world for as long as he had, blending in had become second nature. Though he would keep to himself more often than not, he knew his job included interaction. So while he tried to retain a bit of solitude, he was constantly surrounded, watching and waiting among the humans. Waiting to reap their precious souls.

As he sliced his scythe through a human body, he watched as the light in his eyes faded away, and the ethereal tear his blade had caused, let seep out a thin veil of white mist. The soul. He tilted his head and watched it leave the human body, reaching his hand out he could collect the wispy orb and bring it to the wrapped crystal in his scythe. It slowly seeped into the crystal and spun around with the other souls he'd collected that day. They would soon disappear of course, and go wherever they went when he'd collected them.

He turned his attention back tot he lifeless body in front of him and took his time to observe the man, late forties who would be diagnosed deceased from over consumption of alcohol. His gaze was blank, his hood fell gently over a bit of his face.

                                                                  He was tired.

Reaching out, he tried to touch the mans face, but a noise from outside the bedroom caught his attention, and he knew it was time to make his leave. A faint breath of a sigh escaped him as he pulled back and then closed his mismatched eyes, gently stepping over tot he open window and hopping off the ledge, gliding far enough from the house as he continued on his way. He rested his scythe against his shoulder as he walked, feeling worn down.

He decided that perhaps he would go and see if that special inn was still running? He'd only gone a handful of times since it was opened. Whenever he fell into a rut, he went and stayed for a couple of days, just to clear his head. This seemed like one of those times.

Clip board in hand Trick started his long process of taking inventory for the Inn. His eyes lazily scanned the shelves in the bar. The bottles were an array of different shapes, colors, and sizes. The alcohol they carried ranged from premium top shelf to lowly 'piss water' as he once heard a man call it. Looking down at his clip board we started checking off the different brand names under the vodka section. Taking inventory was never a horrible thing, sure it was tedious but most of the people would leave him alone because he looked busy, that or the permanent scowl on his face kept them away. Scribbling down a few more notes on what they had and what they still needed he suddenly felt a hand get placed on his shoulder.

The initial shock of someone suddenly touched him made Trick turn sharply on his heels and begin to faze into the floor as if it were water. "Heeey--miss" a man slurred making Trick raise his brow. "Sir I am male." he stated slipping more into the floor that only his chest up was visible. The man mumbled something about cutting his hair to avoid confusion and stumbled away. This made Trick question how drunk the man was. Surely he didn't think a woman was taller than six foot with broad shoulders would be very attractive. Trick slipped the rest of the way into the floor moving beneath it until he popped up in the kitchen, clip board in hand.

Trick continued taking inventory throughout the kitchen then moving to other parts of the inn. The task seemed to help the owner out a bit so he didn't mind doing it, in fact it was Trick who suggested it to keep things more orderly. Rubbing his forehead he went to put all the paperwork away for the night--err morning. He seemed to have lost track of time which would normally happen if he wasn't bothered by others. Stretching his arms above his head his eyes glanced over to the clock in the hall, 4:47am. Letting out a small sigh he began making his way to room three.

Standing outside the door he traced the patterns on it with his eyes not really caring much to enter. There were limited rooms available meaning staff had to room with one another. Somehow out of the luck of the draw Trick was roomed with a host of all people. Thinking about it Trick realized something. Trick had to be up and getting things ready for the day in about an hour or so. Meaning if Claus was already in the room and sleeping Trick wouldn't have to interact with him in a closed space at all. He knew the man wouldn't get up that early and Trick would take a brisk nap before getting back to work. Nodding to himself he put his had out his fingers entering through the door followed by the rest of his body. It would be a risk to open the door and wake his roommate so walking through the door silently would be a better plan.

Once in the room he silently glanced over to see a sleeping body already in the other bed causing him to let out a small sigh of relief before stripping off his excess clothes, only leaving him in his black boxer briefs. Being a courteous roommate who didn't care to stay very warm, ever, he always made sure to keep some form of clothing on so as not to startle the host in some way. Laying down on the bed only covered by a thing sheet and rolled to his side and closed his eyes falling into a light sleep.

Waking up he immediately turned over to see if Claus was still sleeping. Seeing the form rise an fall as he breathed made Trick feel relieved. Getting out of bed he slipped a new outfit on and tried to get his hair as manageable as possible before quietly leaving the room.

Helping some of the other staff open for the day he made his rounds checking that everything was done as the inn opened. Walking straight into a wall and out the other side he looked up to see the host and maid. He was surprised to see the host up which made he look down at his watch for the time, "Michiru those items are not for staff consumption." he commented still looking down at his watch. "Please hurry in your daily routines then get to work." his voice was always seeming to lack emotion and interest in anything he said. Tapping on his watch he raised his brows. At least the host didn't sleep through his work shift.

The time was 8:30 in the afternoon. Or perhaps it was considered 'night' by now? Karasu really didn't know. The humans put so much effort into their telling of time that he often got confused. But he wasn't quite worried about it since they all seemed pretty confused too! It was almost laughable.

Still, one hadn't even need to look to the sky to tell that it was a gloomy night. The humans were so predictable when cloudy skies came. Perhaps it was the impending rain that may or may not fall, or maybe it was that their moonlight strolls had to be put on hold due to the unpredictable weather? Maybe it was just that somewhere deep in their hearts, they were reminded of their past lives or the lives of their ancestors and the harsh cruelties they had to live through, when rain meant flooding and death or cloudy days brought bad luck and terrible omens.

So of course to suddenly see someone happily skipping through the streets, hopping and weaving between people as he went along, would be cause for confusion. Then again, Karasu was not affected by the cloudy weather like the humans were. In fact today Karasu found himself much more joyful than the day before. The reason being? He was finally going off in search of this inn that he'd heard about. An inn that catered to creatures like him, of what the humans liked to call 'supernatural'. What was there to be sad about? This was certainly the most interesting thing he's been able to do in a while.

So he skipped, happily moving through the streets while ignoring the stares he got. The unbuttoned sides of his leather trench coat flapped carelessly around him as he moved. He wore thick leather boots with heavy rubber soles on them, while the rest of his attire was mostly normal. A pair of slacks, tucked into the knee high boots and a thin black shirt, buttoned up neatly to his collar bone. His trademark piece though, one that meant a lot to him personally just had to be the belted cotton mask he wore. It covered up the lower half of his face, and together along with his shaggy black hair, gave him quite a mysterious look.

He'd gotten called out many times to 'show what's under the mask' but ended up brushing it off. He wore it for a reason. Not for people to crave what it was hiding. He giggled to himself at the memories before hopping to a short stop on the edge of the sidewalk. He allowed the sign to properly tell him, and the others around him that they could cross the street.

While being among the humans Karasu had found that they all seemed to revel in the mysterious and unknown while simultaneously being afraid of it all. He's seen what happens when they come face to face with something they can't control, or something that is different than them. Even the humans had differences and made a big deal about all of them. It was part of the reason he found them so fascinating, but also quite ignorant at the same time. So for him, a being of exceptional difference to walk among them with the knowledge that he could crush them, he had the urge to simply watch over them and not interfere drastically. He wondered if it was the same for others like him.

This was also part of the reason he was so excited to finally be going to this inn. To be able to talk freely with others of his kind of 'breed' so to speak would give him a lot more of an idea on how the world could be viewed. As far as human years went, he was about nine-hundred, and he was under the impression that he knew quite a bit. So he wondered if there was others out there with a larger age gap, like Aeschylus, that he could possibly learn from.

He was excited, any of his usual negative thoughts were far away at this point with the prospect of such a new and interesting place to collaborate with others. He wanted to see and know just what kind of creatures they all were.

As he figured he was coming nearer to the inn, as the buildings and people seemed to thin out, and the houses or buildings grew further apart, Karasu evened his steps and tried to act a bit more dignified, pushing his excitement down so he wouldn't come off like an excited child. He was good at putting on airs after all. He walked up to the door, taking in the building with excitement in his one revealed eye.

Claus had been downstairs. Of course it was quite boring and quiet, since there weren't so many guests at the inn yet. Of course it would pick up later, it usually did, but he had a couple, if not a few hours before that was too happen. Instead he was considering what to do with his time. He simply stood around for the moment, his expression was calm and a bit blank, but it was probably because he was tired. Since he stayed out so late most nights he was usually tired. He inhaled and closed his eyes, bringing his hand up to push his red locks away from his face.

In that time though, he suddenly heard a bright sound, his name being called out from a familiar little voice. He turned just in time to brace himself for the hug that he received. His gaze looked down onto the bright face of Michiru as she hugged him and asked how he had slept.

"I slept well enough." Was his monotone reply. Still though, it was nice to see someone so chipper this 'early'. His next reply was only a low hum as she spoke of how hungry she was. His thoughts went to the rolls closest to them as well. So as Michiru picked one up and bit into it, asking him not to tell, Claus didn't think he really had to say he wouldn't.

He hummed and then looked up thoughtfully, blinking after he caught sight of the manager, which with Michiru eating something she shouldn't be, only would result in a scolding. And of course it came. Claus watched Trick quietly as the mana voided eye contact as he made his way through his routine. He hummed and looked back to the supposed 'stale' rolls. He reached out picked up the plate of rolls.

"Trick..." he called out looking to the man. "I'm going to take over the kitchen for a little bit." He spoke quietly. They couldn't feed their guests stale rolls after all, could they? Also that way he could try to make something for Michiru to eat. As he figured Trick wouldn't argue too much, and with nothing else for Claus to do he headed to the kitchen to prepare some more rolls and such.

User Image ]Michiru rocked back and forth as she ate her stale bread, it wasn't all that tasteful, but at least it was something to put in her stomach for now before she began work.Michiru opened her mouth to say something when she heard footsteps behind her. Her eyes widened as she heard the voice of Trick, she slumped over a little is shame. "I'm sorryyyyyy~" She let out dramatically.

Michiru then quietly shoved the rest of the roll in her mouth, she looked up at Claus and playfully saluted him. "I'm off to work!" She said with a mouth full of bread, so any logical way of hearing what she actually was saying was quite impossible. She followed behind Claus for a moment, she walked into the back room to grab her things to begin cleaning. Once she had her duster and a handy spray bottle at her side, her eyes glowed as a giant smile appeared on her face.

She made a thumbs up and stood in what seemed to be a superhero stance. "I'm all ready!" She giggled and maintained her posture as she made her way into the main hall where the guests would sit and eat. Michiru hummed as she began wiping off the tables, making sure they shined bright. "No one likes to eat off a dirty table.." She whispered to herself as she wiped in small circles. After Michiru was done wiping off the many tables that needed to be cleaned, she walked over to the back room and put her spray bottle away and got out her duster.

"Off to the upstairs hall.." She said as she marched right on up the stairs. Once upstairs, she headed down the hall into room two. "La..dee.dah.." She hummed a soft tune as she made the beds and picked up some of the clothes that were lying on the floor. After cleaning up that room, she made her way to the third room, Trick's and Claus's, Michiru always made sure to put things where they were meant to go, knowing how careful these two were about their things. After about twenty or so minutes, she was done cleaning up the rooms, luckily no one was overlymessy in the inn. So that was always a weight off of her shoulders.

After cleaning, Michiru headed downstairs into the kitchen where she headed to the backroom and put her cleaning supplies away, she shut the door behind her and made her way to the common area where she sat at the tall bar, but of course she wasn't drinking she was simply hungry. She sat there quietly, watching as customers walked in. As long as she was done with her work for now and wasn't being an annoyance, surely no one would mind if she sat down here and accompanied her fellow workers.

The Bartender
Clovis Price
User Image

User ImageClovis leapt out of bed and put on his shirts. He was late for work today, and he just hoped that nobody important would be there to see him slacking. Time to make today sexy! he thought to himself as he looked in the mirror and did his hair. His hands ran through it and it commanded his attention for about a minute. Some day, he knew he’d realize that he only ended up leaving it ruffled like before, and that fixing it was just a placebo.

He had to tell the truth at some point, however. Today had not been made sexy, nor yesterday, nor ever since his three week dry spell started. There just weren’t that many guests in an inn specifically devoted to non-humans. But he did his job and focused on the tips.

Today, he was wearing a blazer on top of his usual shirt and jeans. The great thing about being a bartender is that he had the right to dress how he wanted for work, unless there was a special occasion. Nothing too outlandish, but he wasn’t too outlandish for monsters, ever.

The Ipos descended down the stairs, taking his coat with him, and made his way towards the bar, preparing for a long day. When he got there, however, he saw that people were already there, sitting on the stools. Retreating from the doorway, he decided to use the back entrance. Going through the kitchen, he burst through the twin doors that led to the bar and turned on the faucets to start washing the equipment for the day. Knocking some glasses out of the cupboards, he threw them into the air and caught them with his usual agility. Setting them on the counter, he moved to his first customer who he actually expected to buy something; food or drink – instead of just sitting there. Not that there was anything wrong with that.

”Hey Michiru” Clovis said, smiling and mixing some vodka, carbonated drinks, and cranberry juice It was crude, and he knew Michiru might not want a drink at this early hour, but he could always taste it for himself. There was virtually no scent of the third of alcohol in it.

”Anything to eat?” he asked. Clovis knew the trials of working hours in service too well to offer the drink before the food.

”How’s the day going for you? Any news?”

He had to admit; after taking an extended break that just ended today, Clovis was a bit out of the loop, which hurt his ability to chitchat with the guests.

Mock

~Mimus polyglottos~

The dark held him in her grasp. He knew not of how long he had been captured in this state nor if escape was possible. So the man laid still as a stone, as something ticked endlessly above his head. Sleep paralysis is such a curious thing, Mock mused as he watched the window to his quarters. It brings life into sharp focus. At least... After the panic ebbs.. Light began to filter into through the pebbled glass as dawn approached, sending warm rays of yellow and orange scattering across the formerly pitch interior of his chambers.

With the morning came his release. Mock eased himself into a sit, orange pupils shrinking painfully into the brown on his irises as he comes face to face with the strong sun. A second later, the thick fur blankets that were piled on top of him slid off and provoked a shudder from him. "Damn.", he hissed as he reached hastily for his robe. "Blasted air conditioner..." He'd bought the units for his staff and guests after a few of them complained about it being too warm in the rooms. Of course, the purchase lead to him getting more blankets. He hated the cold...

Movement downstairs alerted him of Trick's wakefulness, prompting Mock into getting out of bed and into his morning routine. He must have overslept, which wasn't too surprising. Family had come calling and he had gotten back to the Inn eight hours previous. Wincing when his bad leg protested each movement, he carefully began the lengthy task of taming the wild black curls he kept long out of rare vanity. By the time he was prepared to greet whomever was downstairs, more voices had joined the manager's. With his cane held securely in hand, Mock closed up the small suite he'd claimed as his own and made the journey downstairs just in time to see Clovis playing about at the bar. "So lively today, Clovis... Eager to show off to the young ladies already?", he teased with a slight smile and a wink toward Michiru. The guests laughed with him, accepting the tall man's hand shake and assuring him that everything was well on their end.

Nothing left to break my rivals
In a thousand pieces, million reasons
Why should I keep myself away?

Dante hated the day. The way the sun pierced into his eyes and blinded him. That was why he was pleased when the clocks turned later, willing for darkness to fall. He stood outside, watching the nightlife begin to grow louder. Raising a cigarette to his lips he took in a deep breath of the toxins, knowing they wouldn't bother his body all too much. Humans walked passed, blissfully unaware of their surroundings, men patting each other on the backs, laughing off their jokes, girls chittering away then breaking out into sing song laughter. Humans were all the same. It was boring. But sometimes boring was nice.

It didn't take Dante long to finish his smoke. He dropped it to the ground idly, pressing his foot against the butt and ground it in, extinguishing the smoke. Seemed like it was about time to sign in. Giving a sigh, he got off from where he was leaning against the wall, lumbering into the Inn, seeing the life spark from one person to another but never truly burst into a flame. It was disappointing. Dante loved the firecrackers. For a broad man, Dante was surprisingly agile, weaving past customers and mildly made his way to sign in. Stopping into one of the offices and ticking off his name. Happy with his work, he turned away, walking through the main room, eyes searching for any wolves but seeing none. There was the need for familiarity that Dante had not felt for a long time.

He both missed it and didn't miss it. The pack was nice. But being judged by other wolves? Not nice. He carried on outside, nodding to the fellow workers if he walked by them. His fingers wrapped around the handle, pulling the door open and walked back into the night, ready to guard the non-humans from the humans. Luckily the job was easy. If humans came by he would simply give them a sweet smile, saying they were overcrowded or there was a reservation. As for the demons, as long as they didn't freak, he had no problem. It did bring a smile to Dante's face when he saw the excited bounce of what smelled like a demon.

Dante's eyes glanced to the patch for a moment out of impulse but then eased his green eyes to Karasu's face, regarding him without bias. He seemed alright. Smiling, he raised a hand, saying a confident "Yo!" He left the door, walking up to Karasu with his hands in his pockets. "I am guessing you want into the Inn?"

The morning was young. Feet padding lightly down the stairs, fingers swiftly buttoned up his vest before he hit the bottom and turned into the kitchen. All he needed was a nice cup of coffee to lift him up and then he'd be good to go. Strong, black with only a teaspoon of sugar. After his little morning concoction, he took the hot mug in hand and exited the kitchen to the bar area. Seemed most were already awake and they were already receiving guest. Lovely.

"Good morning everyone." he cooed, voice as smooth as black velvet as he entered into the room. Michiru looked as chipper as ever and he adored that about the girl. Then of course the boss man himself was out and about, wearing a smile which was always a good sign. Eriac moved to the bar and glanced at the glass that occupied Clovis's hand. "Ah what do we have here?" he smirked. Cup of coffee was sat down upon the flat surface before fingers fast as lightning snatched the glass from Clovis's hand and brought the sweet liquor to his own lips. "Delicious" he purred. "Best to taste the merchandise before giving it off to the customers. Not that I doubt you, Mr. Clovis" he teased. Truly the blond was a wizard when it came to mixed drinks. Best of the best, but it was still enjoyable to get on his nerves from time to time.

Retrieving his cup of coffee, Eriac turned towards Mock and gave a short bow "Always a pleasure. Now best to get to work." With that said, he left for the main hall, smoothing out any wrinkles that might've made themselves in fabric. Michiru seemed as though she had been hard at work getting everything cleaned up, so he didn't have to worry much about that. The front entrance was clean and clear of any debris upon inspection. Good, first impressions meant everything and greeting others was important. Perhaps even the most important thing! After all L'auberge Rouge was a refuge, a haven if you will, for those were not in this day and age publicly accepted. Those who were frequent visitors of the fine establishment knew well they were welcomed. Others, however, who were first-timers and who perhaps had heard whispers and were unsure of its safety- Well, Eriac was there to greet and assure them they were in good hands. This sanctuary was a place for them to relax, rest and leave all their worries behind. As soon as they stepped through those doors, time stood still and they were treated as kings and queens.... So long as they could pay of course!

Eriac straightened his posture near the entrance, so that those who came through the doors first saw him. With a flick of his fingers, soft, medium-sized orbs of light began to appear one by one. They floated around the tall blond, glowing warmly. To a mortal they would be alluring, impossible to ignore. To most other beings, they were simply beautiful to the eyes and provided a warm-fuzzy feeling. That was exactly how he wanted their guest to feel. It meant he was doing his job right.

Karasu looked upon the inn with great excitement and curiosity. So he'd finally found it! This was just the lift he'd been needing for a little while. Finally he'd be able to freely go around and ask people what kind of supernatural creature they were. Instead of walking around aimlessly day after day looking to each face and wondering if they were human or not.

Here he wouldn't have to worry about that, and it was relieving. He couldn't wait to go inside and explore the inn, and watch people interact that he knew weren't humans.

Just as he stepped foreword again, he looked towards a man that cam up to him and addressed him. Karasu couldn't help but smile widely at the simple greeting of 'yo' that the man gave him. Of course it was covered up by his mask so the other wouldn't notice. He stood where he was, figuring that this person was most likely some kind of doorman, to keep the humans out if he had heard the rumors correctly. It was exciting.

He put a hand on his hip and held his hand up in a wave as well. When he asked if he was looking to get in, Karasu nodded.

"Yes, I'd like that very much! I've been hearing about this place for a long while now, and finally decided to try looking for it." He said, letting out a small laugh. He tilted his head innocently to the man. "I promise I'm of eligible traits. Or would you need a demonstration?" He asked a bit cautiously. He wasn't one to go around showing off his powers, especially when one of them he couldn't control, and the other was so out there, that no normal human could have his strength. Of course if he was going to have to prove himself, he could only use his strength.

He briefly hoped that he wouldn't have to do much and that this man had some ability to tell human from supernatural. Besides that, Karasu certainly didn't want to have to explain the kind of creature he was. As far as he knew, at least back in greece, there were never too many people who adored the titans, no. The olympians got all the praise and nice words. A lot of people considered Titans to just be destructive selfish creatures that they needed to be protected from. Karasu wasn't like that though. But he had still decided it would be in his own best interest to not go around shouting of his heritage.
