Someone to come save them? Astra seemed preoccupied with Rone right now and she had every right to be. If Sereh was in her shoes would she do the same thing? The healer was struggling to stay awake as it was. She didn't want to go back in that dream world and have to see that again. The person who had took the form of her mother wasn't her mother at all. It was something much more horrible and she didn't want to see it again. The unicorn suddenly felt a hand upon her back. A hand? She slowly turns her eyes towards the person to see that it was Winter. When did he get here? She couldn't exactly make out the words he was saying, but she smiles to him anyways as if nothing was wrong. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain and it felt like someone or something had stabbed her all over again. The unicorn whimpered slightly as it was pulled out and scrunched her eyebrows in pain. She didn't have the strength to scream or even to flail about. Suddenly she felt his shirt around her holding up the wound as she was picked up and carried.

Where was she being taken to? She looks up to Winter curiously. All of her apprentices were dead so she couldn't be taken there. Suddenly she thought of Draedon. Where was he? Was he okay?! She wanted to look back, but all she wanted to do was close her eyes. Little by little her eyes eventually closed and the last thing she remembered was seeing Winter.

Her eyes opened to reveal her once again laying upon the beach. She could feel the warmth of the sun upon her and she looks up at the sky, but the sky seemed different. It wasn't the beauty and calmness that it had been before. It was a little bit darker than before despite there being no clouds in the sky. The unicorn sighs softy. She couldn't feel Winters arms around her. All she could feel around her was the warm sand. The unicorn wasn't feeling any pain either. Was she dead? No. She couldn't be dead, because she was in the same place as she was before. Why was she here? The unicorn couldn't understand why really. Death wasn't supposed to be like this was it? The unicorn sits up and looks around. The ocean and the forest were on either sides of her and going either way would prove no good. The unicorn stands up and dusts off her skirt that now seemed to not have blood. the unicorn could once again hear her mother calling her and almost immediately she stood at the edge of the forest looking at her. "Go away!" she calls towards the thing and backs up. "Do you not love mother!?" the person yelled before walking towards her menacingly. With that the unicorn backs up some more only to hear a voice. Winter? Winter voices she could hear it and it looked like the thing, known as her mother, could too. Why was the person so angry at hearing his voice? At that she awoken to the sound of him telling her that he meant everything to her and that if he'd leave her. He would never forgive her.

She looks up and notices that she no longer saw the sky, but a ceiling with a grand design. Where was she? Of course she couldn't be dead, but then again Winter was the reaper. Of course she'd see him right? The unicorn smiles up to him. There wasno way she could be dead. The unicorn still felt the acheing in her chest with every step he took. "Winter." she said softly as she looks up to him with a small smile. "I love you too." she tells him softly. The demon had heard every word he had said and she wanted him to forgive her so she refused to die. "Are you the one scaring it away?" she asks him in an even softer and more weary voice. "My mother." It didn't really make sense, but he was the one helping her right? Scaring away that creature of the dark. Then she had felt herself being put onto a nice bed. Beds sounded nice, but it only made her want to sleep more. She felt her cloths being taken off where her chest was and bandaged up. She then felt a healer heal her up and then someone sitting near her bed. Winter? Slowly opens her eyes once again and looks towards him. She smiles softly. "You're safe." she tells him as if she wasn't in bad shape herself. "That makes me happy."

Things went quickly after Astra and Winter moved the three injured persons to the DeSeason manor. With the initial scare past Astra let her duty sense take over and worked on healing Rone, Sereh, and Draedon each in turn. As willing as she would have been to fixate on helping Rone, Astra knew that he was actually the least of the worries, at least physically, his mind was another matter, one which still left Astra in a half-panicked worry.

Then a healer came from the town and preformed some healing spells to augment what Astra had already cast, a man by the name of Cher. That encounter made Astra briefly wonder what had happened to the vampire apocrathy. He had simply disappeared at one point and no one knew where he had gone. Hopefully he was alive and well and happy, he deserved as much in the half-elf's opinion.

The young mage was drawn from her thoughts when Winter asked if there was anything else to do. "You rest, Winter, you need it. I will tend to them as best I can." Astra would be lying if she said she wasn't tired, but she managed a smile for her fairy friend anyway. But the other four needed rest much more she did: she hadn't been in the thick of battle like they had. Her attention was drawn to the unicorn when Sereh came to and started talking to Winter and Astra's smile became just a touch brighter. "Welcome back to the land of the living." She said quietly to the young healer before moving off to tend to Draedon again. Of the three, the lycan was the only one who had yet to regain consciousness, but he wasn't allowed to die, not when he was engaged to Natalia.

Winter is nature's way of saying, "Up yours."

Winter had a small smile towards Sereh as he moved a few strands away from her face and kissed her on her forehead. " It's good to see you awake, I'm not ready to escort you to the underworld just yet." He sitting down next to Sereh's bed looking at her he heard Astra speak. " With everything that's happened I wouldn't be able to sleep if I tried. Plus I'm worried about Draedon he still hasn't woken up yet. Anyways do you think you could fill me in on what happened inside the palace? I was stuck outside fighting the army so I really don't know but from what I could gather the queen took control again and from the fact Nero was able to wear that ring I gave him I'm assuming Chronos made an appearance.."

The silver-haired man paused a bit... worried about the answer to his next question but he needed to ask it. " But.. what about Natalia, Talin, and Summer? Are all of them okay?" Winter didn't really know Talin but he was worried sick about Natalia and Summer. He sat there then quietly, holding onto Sereh's hand, waiting for Astra's response since she would have a greater knowledge of what happened then he did.

Astra worked on healing Draedon in silence for a short time before assenting to Winter's request for news, collecting her thoughts during the pause. "The Princesses, Summer, and Dew are all safe." She began before starting with the story as best as she could tell it. Waking Dew (though she left out the part about Mystral being the substitute sleeper, Winter didn't need extra worry right now.), freeing the princesses, Summer, and Maxwell, then the reunion with Nero, the presence of Chronos, followed by Sol's last ditch attack and Summer's brave actions, then the encounter with Luna, and finally Maxwell healing Summer. Astra fell silent then, as Winter knew the rest of what had transpired.

Let a little sunshine in...

Weary, shocked, aching and tired Summer was happy to see Zelos and looked at him. " Daddy, I missed you and Mommy. Can we go home?" The little girl then gave Maxxi a quick kiss on the cheek "Thank you". She really didn't know what more she could do to thank him, that plus she had a crush on the mage but didn't want anyone to know... So she quickly hugged Zelos in order to hide the fact that she was blushing from kissing Maxxi. Summer clung on to Zelos, wanting nothing more then to forget about everything that happened. She still couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she actually killed someone.

The unicorn looks over to Winter as he spoke about not wanting to escort her to the underworld just yet. This caused her to smile as she looks towards him. He inquired about everything that had happened and he was soon told about the events that took place. Was he sad that Sol was killed and Luna was banished? They were the only parents he had after all so she had to feel something. She didn't know whether he was sad or not. The unicorn looks back up towards the ceiling and gets lost in thoughts again. Should she rest? The unicorn didn't want to rest. What if she went back into that dream again. "Winter." she says as she looks over to him. She tugs on his arm as if trying to pull him up. "I seek your presence." she said it in a calm manner as she tugged on his arm. "you want me to rest right?" With that she smiles to him innocently. It seemed she was well enough to be a little mischief and back to her old self, but still in a decent amount of pain. "It's the only way I'll go to sleep."

Winter is nature's way of saying, "Up yours."

Winter looked down at Sereh smiling gently, he hoped Natalia would be able to find her way here for Draedon's sake. He supposed when they found them missing either the queen or Summer could open up a portal for her ... otherwise she would have a bit of a boat ride from the capital over to Thebes, the city which Winter lived in. Sereh was tugging at him, she clearly wanted him near her, Winter just hoped that by being close to her he wouldn't end up hurting her.

He crawled into bed next to her, holding her in his arms as though she was the most precious thing in the universe. Winter kissed her on the cheek and spoke to her in a whisper " I love you...I will always love you." Cuddling close to Sereh, hoping that it would help her rest, he knew he wouldn't rest though... to much was going on through his mind. Sol.. was dead which meant he would be reincarnated, plus Summer had cut off her own arm...something which Winter would've never expected from the little girl, and there was Luna.. The silver haired man was worried about what the moon fairy would do now. Still, Winter tried not to think of such things, just this moment, in his home, with Sereh in his arms.

She breathed in deeply to take in the way he smelled and it smelled rather nice despite the battle that had just went on. He smelled like Winter still. This only brought her more comfort. Familiar smells and familiar arms wrapping around her only made her feel at home. The unicorn was now feeling at peace for the first time in a couple weeks. Ever since the few weeks where they had been threatened by Sol and brought into his lands to battle. This peace was something she'd longed for awhile now. She felt his lips upon her cheek as he whispers into her ear how he loved her and he always will. The young healer smiles as she looks up towards Winter. "I love you too Winter." she tells him as she closes her eyes hesitantly. "Allow me to be selfish for a few hours okay?" she said softly with a small smile. "If you have to then leave, but if you don't." she tells him not really finishing the sentence, but knowing he knew what she had meant. Slowly she closes her eyes and pretty soon she was off into the land of dreams, but not the kind she was in earlier. A more peaceful dream where nothing went wrong and everything was perfect. Almost as perfect as being in his arms.

Astra finally reached a point where there really wasn't anything else she could do for Draedon, so she decided to let him rest unbothered for now. When she turned around she caught sight of Sereh and Winter whispering sweet nothings to one another while they cuddled their way to slumber. It was a slightly awkward sight to see, simply because the half-elf wasn't used to witnessing this sort of thing, but Astra made no comment as none was due. The two were a couple so they had reason and right to be affectionate like that, especially when the current circumstances were considered.

So instead Astra silently moved to where Rone was and gingerly took a seat on the edge of the bed. She took up one of his hand and held it loosely in both of hers as she leaned back against the headboard and closed her eyes. The thought ran through her mind about contacting everyone the five had left back at the palace, but that was one problem she had yet to find a solution for. Perhaps the quiet would give her some time to think it over.

Zelos smiles at Summer's words, giving a small nod "Missed ya too, sunshine, we can go when you're ready." he smiled and watched as Summer gave Maxwell a quick kiss before clinging on to him. The redhead wrapped his arms around the small child in a warm and snug embrace, Zelos thought he wouldn't get Summer back, although he had tried to stay positive. Zelos never really was one to be positive, thinking "realistic" he called it.

He wasn't one for tears, but when Sheena glanced over at Zelos, he quickly looked away and shut his eyes, she swore she saw his eyes looking a little glassy. The raven haired woman knelt down and brushed Summer's hair with her fingers "Come on, save it for when we're all home. We can all go cry and look like a mess there." she said playfully. Sheena glanced over at Zelos, who had hidden a good deal of his face in Summer's hair and gently yanked one of his bangs out of habit before turning her attention to Maxwell.

She smiled and slowly bowed in her kneeling position "Thank you, from both of us," Sheena looked up "You know you're always welcome to visit, Maxwell." she couldn't get herself to use a short name, she really needed to stop being so formal...

Once Sheena turned to look over at Zelos, she found him standing while still hold holding Summer in his arms, but he had managed to hold back the earlier tears. It was good to see Zelos looking at ease, Sheena knew that both the noble and Summer shared an all too similar past. Trying his best to make Summer's life much better probably brought Zelos joy from keeping someone else from suffering through anything like he did.

It had been a long fight, starting the day...or was it night before? Zelos was too tired to recall at the moment, and now that he had calmed down, exhaustion caught up with him. Sheena although more composed, was tired herself, although Zelos had been the one flying around after having nearly fought an entire night trying to defend whatever was left of Calyop. But rest was probably not an option besides for those that were out cold, there was probably more to be done. For now, the couple were content just having Summer back with them, Sheena hugged Zelos and Summer, ignoring her usual formalities.

Summer De Season

Let a little sunshine in...

Summer was simply quiet clinging on to Zelos, that was until Sheena hugged the two of them. The little girl started to cry a little more, not out of sadness, no she was happy to be back with Zelos and Sheena. Before Summer lived with Zelos and Sheena she didn't know where she belonged. Her parents in Elysion were never kind to her or her brothers, then her brothers brought her to the human world and while they were nice to her they were often too busy, it was in the human world where Summer first met Zelos a kind half-angel who seemed to adore having her around. Later Zelos introduced Summer to Sebastian and Sheena who were both kind to the young girl.

While Summer loved Sheena, Sheena's demeanor was sometimes ... cold, but seeing Summer didn't doubt that the dark haired woman cared about her, and now that Sheena was hugging her and Zelos it made the little blonde very happy. She knew where she belonged, Summer belonged with Zelos and Sheena. It was true that each one of them was vastly different, Zelos was goofy and liked to joke around a lot, Sheena was serious with cool demeanor about her, and Summer ... Summer was outspoken and stubborn. Still the three of them were a family, and as far as Summer was concerned no one better say otherwise. Still this whole experience had been... exhausting to say the least.

" Mommy... Daddy.. Can sleep in your room tonight?" Summer looked down a little .. " I... I know I did something bad.. but" Summer was talking about killing Sol, she killed someone, no matter what way she looked at it the little girl thought that she did something wrong and right now no one could justify it to her. Killing was bad. She was scarred that if she tried sleeping in her own bed that she would have too many nightmares to sleep.That plus the last thing she wanted was to be apart from the duo... Summer thought a moment looking down..." I need to train.. I don't know how wield a sword or even how to control my magic." The blonde looked up at Zelos with big puppy dog eyes... " Will you train me so that when I grow up I'll be strong like you?"

Natalia Anna Calyop

Natalia had quickly followed Dew and the others outside of the palace, her mind was racing on the on well being of the others, especially Draedon. On their way out of the castle she spotted Embry who was obviously looking for Talin. "Embry, where are the others?" She had yet t see Winter, Sereh, Holo or Draedon, which was rather worrisome. She had to make sure and stay calm, and she was doing quite well normally she would have just rushed out ahead of everyone else without a second thought, but she was told to be careful at different times by those closest to her, and she didn't want to have them worry over her safety more than was necessary. She awaited Embry's response as he seemed to be thinking.

"I... Um... Last I saw, they were fighting, they looked injured but they were fine, but then, I saw Draedon and Sereh, they were hurt, unconscious, I think Winter opened a portal and took them somewhere." Natalia heard Embry say to them, which caused panic to arise. She turned to Dew, she'd be the only one who would be able to bring the to where Winter would have taken them. "We need to find them now, where would Winter take them?" She asked the fairy queen hoping that she would know. Otherwise she would have to figure out some other way to find Draedon, and she would surely do so.

To protect everything with such power? Who would want that?

Her brothers destroying the phoenix and consequential absorbing of her power was a sign as anything. His power was mostly back, and while Ilniatu could still beat Hanwell in a fight, it would almost be an even ground for them. It seemed she would have to halt a majority of her overall mistreatment of him, which was sad. It was fun, but it seemed anything fun had to end.

Instead, she focused on the idea of being joyful. The battle was over, the mortals had won. Dew had awoken and Sol was dead. She regretted being unable to witness the tyrant's fall, but she shrugged her shoulders. It was over for now, at least. Someone else would surely anger and awaken the four again, but at least the largest culprit was down for now. She still had no trust for Winter, especially since he re-obtained his power.

The water elemental was convinced he was still plotting, she knew he wasn't as nice as he's let on. The man would cause troubles, but unfortunately he was too damn liked, so it's not like she could make any actions against him anyway. Ilniatu decided to stick with Hanwell and see how everything goes in the near future.

No one, no matter how strong, can ever protect that which they hold most dear.

Dew looked at Princess Natalia and nodded " If Lord Winter has not returned to Calyop then he's probably in his estate in Thebes. My guess is that's where he would've taken them to get their injuries attended to." The queen then opened up a portal which lead right to the outside of the De Season estate, as it would be rude to simply enter without Winter's knowledge.The dark haired fairy then made her way over to Nero, looking down at the ring on his finger she simply smiled gently, knowing what it meant.

" My dear, my father said something about the crops and the water in your kingdom needing attending to. Is that true? If so then it would be best to get back to Calyop as soon as possible... If you show me the damage I should be able to help at least a little. Any damage involving plants, water, or the natural environment I can aid with. Unfortunately if any lives were lost I will not be able to restore them nor will I be able to restore any destroyed buildings." Dew calmly placed a hand on Nero's shoulder, if there were problems in Calyop the queen truly did wish to help.

However, with all the problems Sol caused in the council she would not be able to leave Elysion for long... but perhaps she could have at least one night with her beloved husband until she started to restructure and ensure the safety and security of Elysion and of her crown. It would take a few months at least, perhaps during that time she should ask Winter to stay in Calyop, as a diplomat, until she could get everything settled with the council and her and Nero could sort things out so that they could live their lives together. Dew was really looking forward to being by Nero's side, finally... she could be with the man she loved more then anything.

Nero had been lost in thought for a while now, it was Dew that brought him back to focus on the important matters, now that Sol was gone he needed to get back to restore his kingdom. He let his golden colored eyes linger on her for a minute before he spoke "Yes, Sol managed to destroy our crops and poison the water supply in his last few attacks. Many of my people have died and the others are starving from the lack of food, but there is no need to worry about the rebuilding of the villages because the elemental Terra has offered to help with that. So we should leave soon to repair the damage that Sol has caused" he said as a small smile came to his face. He took her hand in his and squeezed it lightly, he looked down as the ring on his finger as he held her hand "I've missed you so much...I..I was lost for the longest time without you" he whispered to her. She was the reason Nero faught so hard, he loved her more than anything and he would give up everything to keep her safe. He looked up into her eyes "I love you.." he said before he leaned in and kissed her lightly, he finally had her back and there was no chance he was going to lose her again. He would do anything for her, he would fight anyone that threatened to take her from him again.
