It was her third pass up and down the length of the long banquet table. Her slender finger, tipped with a manicured claw painted in luscious crimson, ran over the polished smooth surface, following the shapes of bowls and plates that fell into her path. A rhythmic click of heels hit the stone surface laid across the grand hall, full hips swaying side to side in a lazy groove with every step she took. It was boredom that ate away at Riva's mind. She was not one for patience, not when she had half a payment of coins burning in her pocket and another waiting when she returned with a mission accomplished. Debriefed already by one of Trey's closest hands, it had spiraled into a game of waiting as the gypsy needed only abide for the arrival of the alleged Commander and his ragtag group of misfit warriors. Patience was never one of Riva's better qualities, and her preference was one of a more sly and swift approach. The notion of her working with any group at all was ludicrous, but the money was too enticing to turn away.

Bored with her pacing, Riva found herself reposing at the middle of the banquet table, hoisting herself leisurely up upon its surface after pushing aside several immaculately placed plates and silverware. She kicked one svelte, long leg over the other as she leaned back against planted hands, sending the guard that eyed her a crude smile. The male tossed his gaze away, straightening as he fixated his dark eyes onto the massive doors that began to open before them. A toned male strode briskly through, his purposeful steps cutting him straight through the distance and towards her. A pair of mismatched eyes, striking red and chilling blue, met her own pair of mesmerizing crimson. An expression of contempt bled through his gaze and seeped into the handsome features of his face, marring him with a childish resentment. Her lips twitched at the corners, pulling into a vicious grin as she dismounted from the table. The small amount of space the man had left between them slowly closed as the Commander, rightfully introduced as Kyo, spoke of his rank and her sure subservience to follow.

"My, you're charming." Her voice was a soft purr, ominously pleasant for all ears, one that subtly pulled the attention of all her listeners forward. Like a venomous snake, the fingers of one hand brushed dangerously over his chest as a pair of ruby-tinted irises roved over the male in a fashion too predatory to be safe. "I'm here for my skill and my success. You're apparently lacking in one, or both of those qualities." Riva had paused, allowed a quiet moment to pass for her words to sink and take meaning. Her hand glided up his sternum before straying off towards his shoulder, fingers delicately tracing over the broad curve before leaving him freed of her clutches. "Good," the gypsy quipped sharply, "I'm not here for trifles either, Chief. Getting the job done and getting my money is the priority." Her head tilted coyly to one side, bright hues peeking up between strands of her ebony fringe. Though she blinked bashfully, long and carefully painted eyelashes fluttering, Riva wore a smile that spoke of her virulence. Her mask of eloquence and charm was an easy facade for a sharp and cunning man, but truly, the gypsy doubted that that man stood before her now.

"Time, as I'm sure you know, is of the essence here. Shall we?"

She very nearly jumped out of her skin at Calcifer's touch, but instead breathed a sigh of relief and inched closer, taking comfort from his presence. She was so exhausted she felt she might collapse, but having him there gave her the strength she needed to remain standing and hold her ground. Toma's backing helped, as well, and Amira twisted to offer him a grateful smile. Thank goodness they had her back.

Their combined efforts seemed to work, too, but Amira still bristled when Psykhe parted her lips and spoke. Insults dropped from the tealette's lips like stones and she couldn't help fearing that maybe she had begun to make an enemy of this girl who was supposed to be her best ally. She could think about those consequences later, though, because what Psykhe said had Amira quivering with a strange fear she had never felt before. What was this? Was she... afraid of herself? Of who she would become? Amira had never had to face change or hardship, not really. Sure, there had been her father, and various men, but that was just something you got used to in the industry and there was always someone there to save her and look after her -- all she needed to do was call for them. So what type of person would she be? Who was she really? If all of this shouting and anger was something to go by, Amira got the feeling she was the type of person that she didn't much care for.

You don't seem to care about us, Amira thought as Psykhe continued, swallowing hard around the lump in her throat. All you seem to care about is yourself. There hasn't been any time, just a couple hours ago we were sitting in our classrooms, now we're here with you and all this crazy. She scowled and dropped her gaze, knowing her bitter thoughts were petty, but unable to stop them. And if you're the only one who can do that, then how did the Riders get to Earth, huh? Psykhe was right about Remy, though, and Amira flinched into Calcifer's side at the revelation that Psykhe and Remy were, in fact, brother and sister. Easy to miss, considering there was no family resemblance, but the resentment on Psykhe's tongue spoke for itself.

There were a few moments of quiet where all that had been said sunk in, and when Psykhe broke the silence again, it was to deliver insults and rewards. Amira's amber gaze snapped up to Psykhe's pale face in shock that they would be given this so simply, and she didn't bother trying to argue that they should all go, that they should stay together, instead nodding and murmuring a quiet "thank you." Amira watched Psykhe's form retreat across the field toward where Aniketos, Kyrinthis, and Rudolph were clustered, then she shifted her attention to those around her. The three who would be leaving split to speak to others, then regrouped around Mali when they were done and Psykhe returned to open the portal for them.

There was more talking to be done first, however. Amira regarded the mage evenly as she spoke then replied, "Thank you. I... What I said. I'm sorry. Some of that was, um, kinda unnecessary. Thank you for this." Amira tried a weak smile, then turned away swiftly and disappeared with the others through the portal and back to Earth.

Quiet sirens in the distance greeted them, sending a stab of guilt through Amira's gut. She made for the end of the alleyway, but stopped short when she realized Mali wasn't following and turned back. Immediately she felt shamed. Tantrum? Was that what it had looked like? Had Amira really come across so childishly? She dropped her gaze and hugged herself about the waist, cheeks burning. "Sorry," was all the brunette managed to choke out before Mali brushed past her, following a glowing ring to wherever Danielle had ended up. Amira took a shuddering breath, then smoothed her clothes and hurried after the group mutely.

KYO ORAKU PLESSA

are you ready to die?

His father had the worst choice in women. Kyo's mask cracked slightly as he eyed Riva warily, pride preventing him from moving away. Why was it that when his father presented him with someone to work with, it was always an over sexualized woman with dark hair and red eyes? Typically with sadistic tendencies and a preference for easily concealed weapons? Kyo tensed beneath her touch, half expecting to be stabbed right then and there, but rather than a wound he received words dipped in honey, ones he knew not to trust but couldn't help falling for. This was why he preferred working with Remus, Ashton, and Eleanora, and why he had so happily added Lucy to his ranks. Eleanora was simply too young and Lucy held a quiet disposition. Having to deal with both Obelia and Riva was going to be a headache and a half and, tempting as it was to simply let the two become partners, Kyo knew he had to keep a close eye on Riva.

His wariness turned to irritation as the vixen continued to run her hands all over him and it took considerable effort not to smack her fingers away. Thankfully he couldn't actually feel her touch aside from the recognition that contact was being made, and soon she pulled away and got back to business. Kyo simply nodded in response to her remarks and spun, sweeping out of the room and back towards the portals. As they walked, he pulled a ring from his pocket and tossed it back to her, the horse head sigil flashing in the dim light.

The riders had not strayed far and instead stood in a cluster, arguing over something, or at least he assumed so. Kyo cleared his throat to get their attention and tipped his head towards Riva. "Riders, this is your new ally, Riva. My father has specifically assigned her to the Black Riders. The mages have located where Rudolph brought the royals. Our objective is this: seize Prince Aniketos of Plessa and Princess Kyrinthis of Plessa. Do not use lethal force. The others are to be left behind." Kyo turned to Lucy and Obelia. "You will handle the masked mage." Styxx and Remus. "The two of you will deal with Psykhe." Eleanora. "I want you to make sure none escape. Control the area, keep the battlefield in our favour." Kyo scanned all of them to make sure they understood their instructions then finished, "Riva and I will be responsible for seizing Aniketos and Kyrinthis. Mount up, we move out in five minutes."

Turning away from them all, Kyo moved to where a page had brought Danté and a pair of mages came to speak to him in hushed tones about their transport through a portal. It would bring them within a kilometre's radius of where the royals were stationed. Once satisfied and the details were worked out, Kyo swung himself up onto Danté's back and took position in the lead, glancing at Riva to indicate she should take a place at his side.

Her gliding steps were slow, elegant, taking her form gracefully across the room as she followed the male out. Kyo was far less responsive than she had anticipated, her little word game not even eliciting a subtle flinch. A disappointment, to say the least. Her hands disappeared into the depths of her long sleeves, the fabric swaying with the rhythm of her strut. They reappeared, if only briefly, as a glint of silver caught her eye as it was unceremoniously tossed back towards her. Caught between forefinger and thumb, Riva sent a red-tinted glance down towards the ring she held. Slightly polished, a little worn at the edges, sporting a symbol she had no attachments to -- it was a jewel she would have never spent even a single piece of coin on. An agitated sigh escaped her as she wiggled the ring onto her thumb, the only finger not already occupied with adornments.

Her gaze shifted up, it wasn't the dull chatter that had caught her attention. There was a dull pull at her existence, a sort of muted radiance that most unnatural humanoid species possessed. There were two others within this room, but the subtle droning at her core sounded familiar. Her eyes snapped over the gathered faces, all of them insignificant to the one she sought in particular. Ashen irises greeted her crimson ones in an instantaneous flash, and just as before her lips had pulled themselves up at the corners with malicious intent. A curious twist of fate; Riva would admit to calling this moment quaint, at least. She had spent weeks upon weeks hunting this intriguing hybrid, only to give into her piqued interest and call off her client's request. Of course, the cambion wasn't aware of those little details. It made her continued hunt for him a bit more interesting, spiced up her life.

Her stride lengthened, purposefully hasty as the assassin crossed the floor right up to the dark-haired male. "What's a pretty cambion like you doing in a place like this?" Her scarlet hues roved over the marksman once before her fingers hooked him at the collar, tugging him sharply towards her. As she rolled up onto her toes, she smoothly captured his lips with her own, the fingers wrapped tight in his shirt loosening as she slid her fingers up towards his hair. Fleeting. It had to be fleeting. Every little moment entwined like this was just a little bit toxic to Styxx, and a little bit draining for Riva. There was a twitch of movement, both of them sharing the same thought as they broke away from one another. Her movements felt a bit sloppier than just moments prior, a consequence to their kiss but far too worth it to pass up. A knife had been drawn by the cambion, positioned precisely at her throat, just as the naga snapped one of her steel piercers into her grasp. Her lips pushed together before cracking into a sadistic smile, her voice a gentle coo, "Oh, I've missed you."

Riva tilted her head, sending a cautious glance over her shoulder towards the mismatched glare of the Commander behind her. "Suppose our games will have to wait until later tonight...?~" Horses were brought in, and since she had none of her own, it was only natural she should be paired with another. Kyo, of course. Riva turned sharply, returning to the Commander before she easily hoisted herself up onto his mount. Seated side saddle like the proper lady she was, Riva slipped her arms shamelessly around Kyo's torso for stability, ready to roll out like the rest of them.

A few seconds after Lucy finished her useless answer to Styxx's question, Eleanora spoke up. She had an even more in depth answer than Lucy did. It only made her feel even worse since she had been there for the longest amount of time with the mage. Still, Lucy forced herself to see the good side. At least El had more information which could be helpful in the future. Any information is better than no information. Lucy smiled weakly at El, glad she could give Styxx a little more information. Although, what she described did sound rather odd. An axe of some sort with detachable blades? Lucy shook her head slightly. It was sad. She hadn't even noticed the weapon. Lucy turned her gaze to the ground. This conversation was only making her feel crappier about today's mission.

At that moment, Obelia spoke up and she was non too happy about what she had to say. It began with Obelia's simple explanation as to who exactly the mage was. Apparently, she knew the mage as an assassin and supposedly a damn good one at that. What Lucy hadn't been expecting though was Obelia's transition into what was really bothering her. After she established that Psykhe was an assassin who was not too fond of explosions, Obelia demanded to know who caused the bombings. She went on to say that the person who had, ruined their mission. Lucy felt her insides coiling up. Before Styxx had come over, she had already been beating herself up about her mistake. Now Obelia's words were only making her feel even worse. Lucy was alone when had made that decision. It was the best she could think of at the time. No one was perfect and yet none of those reassuring phrases were helping Lucy feel better at all.

Shifting her eyes between each of the other black riders, Lucy began feeling really nervous. She needed to come clean, she planned to, but what would they think of her when she did? Before Lucy could say a word, she heard Styxx hum softly to himself. Her eyes flicked to him and then Remy began speaking. Lucy's eyes flicked to him. At first he just defended Psykhe, which was good. Lucy completely agreed with him. If the mage had been a determined assassin she could have easily taken care of Lucy. Instead she just took the royals. Lucy gave a small smile and nod towards Remy in agreeance. She planned to voice it, but Remy didn't stop speaking there. He immeditely spoke up defending her. Although, he didn't know it was her. At least, she didn't think he did. He was defending whoever caused the bombs. Remy believed they shouldn't point fingers, what's done is done. No one else was on his side, though.

Everyone seemed to want an answer, especially Styxx. He seemed upset by Remy's words, there was a twinge of emotion in what he said to Remy, especially his final sentence. The words dug into Lucy's stomach like a dagger. She hadn't been thinking about them? Of course she had. Lucy was always thinking about her team. Lucy chewed on her cheek as she turned her gaze to the ground. What was she supposed to do? Speak up? Don't speak up? What was the better option here? And what if she didn't speak up.. What if they all found out at a later date that it was her and what if that made them even angrier than if she had told them now? Lucys eyes shifted around on the ground, not wanting to focus on anything as her thoughts became a jumbled mess. There was no right answer. Whatever she did, she was certain to piss someone off.

Clearing her throat, Lucy turned to look back up to the other Riders, her gaze fell to each one before they landed on Remy. She didn't want to be looking at someone else who might be angry after her words. She knew Remy wouldn't be too upset with her. He was her best bet for a friend right now. Nodding to herself, Lucy smiled weakly. "It was me.." Lucy swallowed loudly "I'm sorry. I didn't realize.." Lucy couldn't finish her sentence. She was too anxious about the other riders responses, especially Obelia's who might just snap her neck if she was angry enough. Lucy's gaze fell from Remy back to the ground. The people standing with her now were the only people in the world who could ever make her feel small and they were doing just that at the moment. Lucy never felt ashamed of herself or what she had done but now that's all the could feel.

Before much could be said, Kyo walked in followed by a female Lucy didn’t recognize. Kyo introduced her as Riva, a new ally, before he told them their newest assignment. The Riders were to go collect two of the royals, one prince and one princess using no harm to them. Then, Kyo turned to Lucy and Obelia specifically. They were assigned together to take care of the masked mage. Lucy could only assume that he meant the other mage that had been at the school, the one Lucy had not faced. Turning her gaze to Obelia, Lucy swallowed thickly. Usually she loved the girl. Lucy loved all the riders. But she was a bit worried about being partnered with her given the circumstances.

When Lucy looked back up, Kyo had seated himself on his horse and the stranger, Riva, was seated beside him, side saddle. It looked like they were ready to head out already. Lucy turned her gaze between each of the other riders before walking back to where she had left her own horse when she hadn’t allowed it to be taken away by the stable keepers. Patting Caramel’s neck, Lucy hopped on to her back and ran her fingers through the horses mane. It felt like the group never stopped moving these days. Not that she was complaining. At least this distraction was keeping people from yelling at her.

Kyrin seemed generally surprised in Felicja’s interest in her for some reason. Sure Felicja wasn’t the closest with Kyrin but that didn’t mean that Felicja didn’t care about the other girl’s well being or anything. They were all stuck in this together so they all had to look after each other. At least that is how Felicja saw the whole situation. And more than that Felicja couldn’t help but feel a little bit protective over Kyrin right now. Amira was leaving and Danni was still on earth. Kyrin and Felicja were going to be the only girls left in Hentor in their group so they had to make the best of their situation. While on Earth they had never been close but Felicja could have sworn from her dreams that in this world while growing up she and Kyrin and herself had been friends and Felicja wanted that. She really wanted to be friends with Kyrin. So Felicja couldn’t help but hope that maybe this second chance in Hentor was a second chance for her and Kyrin to be friends. If there was anything they were all going to need with this upcoming adventure it was going to be each other.

She grinned at Kyrin and laughed a bit. ”I’m pretty sure my back is black and blue at this point. I can’t really see it though but it feels like a semi-truck hit me in the back. Thankfully other than that I’m pretty sure that I got out really like. Thank the Gods we all came out alive.” She smirked a little as though she was going to say something scandalous, which was not the case at all. ”I’ve had worse to be honest. If there isn’t a bruise on me I’d be worried. You should have seen me the time I did a trick wrong during practice and I ended up breaking an arm. Now that was painful. Thankfully it’s all healed up and I got right back to driving my coach crazy by doing stunts I probably shouldn’t. But you’re not going to be known if you don’t go big. And I plan to go big.” She replied with a laugh in her voice as she clearly began to relax around Kyrin seeing that the girl wasn’t going to run away from her this time. That was a nice change in pace for their friendship and was really bringing Felicja’s hopes up.

She nodded in agreement with Kyrin. ”I agree. This place is a bit whacky but I’m not sure if the others reacted too well. Psy and everyone here just want to protect their home…. Our home I guess. I’m going to see it through to the end. Even if I don’t end up staying here that doesn’t mean I should abandon someone in need, y’know? I wouldn’t want someone to look away and save Earth if they had a choice so I’m going to protect Hentor in anyway that I can.” She paused for a moment as she thought about her family and for a moment her heart ached. She missed her siblings. She wouldn’t have siblings in this world. She missed her father’s loud voice as he told jokes. She missed her mother’s hushed words when she use to tuck her into bed. ”My family is in Poland right now. I don’t really see them anyways. Toma is my cousin so I’m sure he’ll cover for me while he’s there and word will get back I’m fine. So… they can wait. Here needs me more than they do… For now at least.”

She stopped for a moment looked over to Kyrin. ”You don’t have to answer this… I get that it’s a bit personal but… why don’t you like me. Was it that silly gym thing? I really sorry if it was. I wasn’t aiming for you. My friend? She’s my coach’s daughter and truth be told we’re competitive so I was aiming for her. She just… ducked out of the way. I tried to apologize but every time I got near well… things just didn’t seem to work out for us.” She said in a quick voice getting a little nervous herself. She let out almost what could seem to be a defeated sigh and looked at Kyrin holding out her hand. ”What I’m trying to say Kyrin is… well… I wanna be your friend. Let’s start over? My name’s Felicja but friends can call me anything. My current popular name is Feli.” She said with a small hopeful smile on her face as she looked on to Kyrin anxiously.

Outside of the shield he could hear words of anger and sarcasm. A glance in the direction of Mali and Psy told him that they were experiencing difficulties with the royals. He frowned at his niece listening to her retorts, but didn't say anything to capture their attention. Psy would be able to settle things hopefully. If not, once he was finished with Anik he would intervene. The charm and grace he held when dealing with diplomacy was something Psy had yet to learn from him. Kyrin spoke up trying to offer up words of comfort to Anik, but she was so awkwad with her words he had to wonder what type of relationship they had on Earth. From their body language he gathered that they had not been as close as he remembered the two. Perhaps sending them to Earth was not his greatest plan, but under the stressful circumstances what else could he do? Earth had been one of the few worlds that he deemed the least stressful for them to deal with or at least a world they could survive on their own. Every world had its own dangers, but while he took into account the physical dangers he forgot about the mental ones. Now, gazing at the two of them, he knew their lives were completely different than what they were before and it changed them. Kyrin was quiet and seemed to shy away from him and Anik. Anik was stoic and cautious around him. These were not the children he remembered. None of them were. A few of their past characteristics shone through so he knew they were not completely lost, but how long until they remembered themselves completely? Their memories?

"None of this will go smoothly. The only thing I can really hope for is that the two of you work with me, my niece, and her friend. I hope you and your friends try to be open minded about all of this. Accept our explanations and heed our warnings. Try to listen to the tiny voices in your head and don't ignore your past memories. Consider embracing these memories and recalling the type of people you were once upon a time. Yes, I know all of you are different now, but your fates were set long before you were born unto Earth. It is something none of you can escape no matter how much you try. If we let you go back and pretend none of this happened the Black Riders and King Trey will follow. Even if Psy and Mali hadn't come for you the Black Riders still would have come. Either way someone would have come for all of you,"
Rudolph explained softly feeling his muscles ache with the amount of energy he was pressing into Anik's heart and gem. "Honestly, I don't know how any of this will turn out, but please believe me that Psy and Mali are here to keep you safe. They may seem off their rocker or abrasive, but their first priority is to keep all of you safe and away from the King," Rudolph added.

Psy entered the bubble at that time asking about taking a small group back to Earth to retrieve Danni. Rudolph nodded and listened to both Kyrin and Anik make requests of Psy for their friends when they got back to Earth. Anik wanted Cal to check in on his sister and Kyrin asked for Toma to check in on her cats. Completely different requests. Did Kyrin not have any family? Did Anik not have parents? What sort of life had he shoved this children into? If neither of them had parents now.... Rudolph felt a hitch of guilt knowing that the parents they had here were ones they didn't have either. What they had left were memories. Psy left and not long after she opened a portal where Mali took Cal, Amira, and Toma through and back to Earth. The portal closed and a sense of peaceful tranquility settled over the clearing. "Both of you do have a choice and you don't. You can either accept what I have told you or you can spend the rest of your days running from a tyrant," Rudolph explained softly still keeping his hands focused over Anik's chest.

There was nothing like tensions rising after a failed mission. Personally Remy didn’t see the big deal with the whole matter. Kyo made their defeat quite evident as it was. He had reprimanded them enough as it was. Guilt was clearly in the air. They were not school children that needed a whacking every time a mistake was made. To Remy that entire incident had been was a mistake. No one knew such carnage would have disrupted the mission in such a manner. After all they were fighters and mages not seers and fortunetellers. Whoever had acted probably already learned from their mistakes. Instead of dwelling ion the past they needed to worry about the future and what they were doing about the royals. Really all he wanted was to move on now. And the fact that Obelia was going to be on whomever’s a** had caused Remy to feel sorry for whoever it was. Obelia’s wrath was punishment enough in Remy’s opinion. But he was the softie of the group apparently so what did he know?

”It was a mistake Styxx. Yes perhaps the person who did throw the bomb was not making the best judgment, I admit that, but that does not mean we should make them the sacrificial lamb of the group. There is not a single person on this team who did this mission perfectly. There were only two mages and there were six of us. All of us made crucial mistakes alone the line just maybe not as blatant. “ He said in a firm manner. Obiously he was not going to change his opinion on what he said. He eyes everyone in the group carefully for a moment. ”And if we’re talking about group dynamics then we all fail, maybes that’s why two mages were so successful. Even in an unplanned and stressful situation they managed to work together and trust each other. We can barely have a conversation with one together.” Whether or not the group wanted to admit it they sucked as a team and doing teamwork. Teamwork while being on a team was kind of essential. Funny how that worked.

As Remy fell silent it was Lucy who spoke up. It was Lucy who admitted to being responsible for the bombings. As she finished he found that her gaze and eyes landed on him. He couldn’t blame her. Out of all of hem Remy wasn’t angry or anything. Styxx and Obelia were probably out for blood. He gave her a small smile and a nod of approval. He was proud of her owning up to it. He threw an arm over her shoulder. ”We know who did. She gets she did wrong. Lesson learned. Let’s move on.” The others probably would not be that surprised by the action. Remy was known to be protective of Lucy and El. He didn’t let the other pick on his favorite ladies after all. This situation was no different and he’d defend Lucy tooth and nail.

Remy didn’t move from his spot next to Lucy as Kyo came back to the group. Along with Kyo came a beautiful woman who seemed to ooze sex appeal. Remy couldn’t help himself, he really couldn’t. A big grin slipped on his face. What a lady she was. Even her name seemed as sensual as she was. Riva. Remy could get use to an ally like her. Though at one point he thought the same about Obelia. He really should be more careful with killer ladies like them. That didn’t mean he couldn’t be friendly her. ”Hello Miss. Riva it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Riva got right into acquainting himself with the group. Especially Styxx. ”Lucky Dog.” A kiss followed by a clash of metal. Talk about sexual tension.

Kyo was having none of that and immediately gave the group positions. Remy nodded along amiably until his position was given. He frowned at the position. Kyo had been there and he knew that Psykhe and Remy were close. He was there for the whole reunion thing and everything. He saw them hug. Remy was tempted to tell Kyo no. He never had and he really didn’t want to start but he wasn’t sure he could fight Psy. And he didn’t want to ruin another mission. Not to mention Kyo seemed to already be in an extremely frustrated mood. Not a good thing to go again. Well this mission was already going downhill fast.

tab tab tab This had to be one of those rare occasions where he agreed with Remus. After he had finished speaking, he met his eyes and gave a slight nod to show that he agreed, but he did nothing more than that as Lucy spoke up. So he was right, she had been the one to toss the bombs. He had to give her credit for being brave enough to admit to it. It still didn't change what happened, but he wasn't about to make her feel anymore uncomfortable. Dealing with Obelia would probably be more than enough. Despite the slight shift in his attitude, there was no outward display and he retained the same disinterested expression as before.

That is until a slight pulsing sensation went through him. It felt like someone had tugged at his psyche, suddenly demanding his attention and his gaze moved away from Lucy and towards the door, ignoring what was going on around him. There was someone approaching, someone who wasn't human. The sensation was a familiar one and one he wasn't soon to forget. Kyo walked in and behind him was a familiar face. Styxx kept his eyes on Riva while the Prince explained their new assignment and each of their responsibilities. If Remus thought that they were all going to be working together rather peaceably, he was probably going to be seeing a shift in the group dynamics from now on.

Kyo was still speaking when the Naga smiled and started to make a beeline towards him. The smile and the fact that she had just been introduced as their new ally were the only things that prevented him from reaching for one of his concealed daggers. The briefest of smiles touched his lips at her question and he kept his eyes trained on hers as he responded. "I'm surprised to see you, too." He didn't struggle when she grabbed his collar and pulled him close. In fact he leaned into it, meeting her poisoned, but ever so sweet, lips, an arm around her waist. There was always a slight thrill in kissing her. Tasting the poison, knowing that he should back away from the potential danger, but refusing to do so. Riva was such a dangerously seductive creature and as much as he craved her, he knew the moment couldn't last forever. Then again it might have been one absolutely pleasurable way to die.

Seeing as it wasn't the time or place for that right now, his free hand reached towards his dagger as he pulled away from her and he had it positioned at her throat a second before her emeici was at his. His face felt numb as a result of the poison, but it wouldn't be too long before it left his system and feeling returned. Oh how nice. His favourite huntress missed him. Truly, he was grateful to see her as it would make things far more interesting, and he couldn't help but wonder how long this alliance would last. Or would he have to be watching his back during any down time they had. His arm slowly lowered and he tucked the blade away after she turned to glance at the Commander, though still on edge. "I'm looking forward to it, love," he murmured, letting his eyes roam over her. She was still as fine as ever.

The horses were brought in and one of the pages came up to him with the arrows he had requested. The fact that he was going after Psykhe briefly crossed his mind as he gave the boy two arrows and took the five poisoned tipped arrows in return to fill his quiver. The only way they would be distinguished from the others were by the dark green fletching, and he hoped that he wouldn't have to use them against her. Eyes sliding to Remus who had been so quick to come to Psykhe's defence and claimed that things would now be a little difficult, he wondered if this mission would be any better than the last. Styxx knew that he wasn't going to hold anything back when he went up against his old friend and he hoped Remus didn't either. Walking over to Ajax, he mounted and waited for the others. Strangely, he was very much looking forward to this; he could finally put questions that he'd had to rest.

Exhaustion dragged at him, urging him to simply sleep. He resisted; now was not the time. Later, perhaps, he'd let himself relax enough to sleep... or at least try to. Exhausted he might be, but in a strange place with so many worries, it was quite possible for sleep to elude him.

Kyrin spoke, attempting to reassure him. He nodded to her, grateful, but didn't respond with words. If he opened his mouth again too soon he was worried he'd start yelling at Rudolph. Kyrin went on to talk about training and choices, and Aniketos's blue eyes settled on Rudolph, waiting for his response. His words didn't please him, but at that point Aniketos was starting to believe that even if Rudolph told them they could go home, no worries, that wouldn't please him either. Everything was just too jumbled up for him to know how to feel about it properly. He needed a moment by himself, where he could think without anyone talking to him.

Before he could formulate words, Psykhe appeared, speaking about some of them going back to Earth, and asking if there was anything they wanted. His response was instant; "Ask Cal to check up on my sister." Perhaps he should have added a please in there, but he wasn't feeling very nice towards Psykhe at that moment. Kyrin's reply surprised him slightly, and he flicked his gaze towards her. Did she not have any family? He refused to think about the fact that he was her family; that was in their past life, not this one.

Psykhe left, and Aniketos watched her. Watched as she opened a portal, watched as Mali, Calcifer, Amira, and Toma left. It wasn't until Rudolph spoke up that he looked away from where the portal had been. "Okay. Let's assume we'll help you, and assume we'll succeed. What about then? Will we have to stay here? Or can we go home after?" Before Rudolph could answer, Kyrin stood, weapon and seeds cradled in her arms. "I need to think," she voiced, before walking off and out of the bubble. Aniketos watched her leave, before returning his gaze to Rudolph and waiting for his response.

At the sound of Obelia's voice, Eleanora quickly shot her head in the direction it came from. With a smile to her features the younger girl greeted Oblelia with a nod. Eleanora's findings on the mage seemed to have reminded the older woman of something, but more or less someone. The information that Obelia had on the Psykhe Graconis person was rather extent. The name didn't ring a bell to the girl at all, but of course she hadn't been around as long as some of the other riders, or as serious into all of this way business either. But the fact that this girl was also known as an assassin, you'd think at some point Eleanora would've been told about her.

Then Remy spoke up. If not for that face that they were having an important discussion, Eleanora would've just attacked the male with a hug. Right now, did not seem like the proper time to do that. From how he spoke, it seeped that Remy himself knew who this Psykhe person was. Obelia knowing about someone who was known as an assassin, made complete sense to Eleanora, but as to why Remy knew her, that was a little more out of the young girls grasp. Their certainly a lot that she needed to learn about the world.

This Psykhe person was actually someone that Eleanora was interested in now. Sure back in the school she didn't really care much about the girl with the long teal hair, but now, after hearing even this minor information about the girl, Eleanora wanted to meet her and learn more about her. Excitement filling the girl she smiled and hugged her doll. Perhaps the next time the two met, they'd have a chance to actually fight and compare skills. An Assassin who was highly trained in magic, sounded like tons of fun to battle against. Wanting to learn more about the teal hair-ed assassin, Eleanora turned to Obelia, who seemed to have a fairly good knowledge about her and was about to ask, but it seemed that the conversation had moved back to the explosion. The reason for the mission failure.

With how flat out Styxx questioned the attack, it seemed that he wasn't at fault for it. Knowing very well that it wasn't Remy, it wasn't his style to blow up a building. It was barely his style to fight, he was more a talking guy. So that Left Obelia, and Lucy. Obelia was clearly angry about the situation, especially about being pinned the blame. That really only left Lucy and herself, and Eleanora knew full well that she hadn't done it this time. A sad look fell to her features as she hid her face shyly behind her doll and looked up at Lucy, right as she confessed. Here Eleanora had even commented about the explosion being Obelia's doing to Lucy. Perhaps that what Lucy was trying to tell the young girl earlier before the conversation began. All the girl could do was look at Lucy.

Her gaze was pulled away when Kyo came into the room, following him was an unknown woman. This woman, who was introduced to the riders as Riva, was gorgeous. Like all the others, she stood taller than Eleanora did and was absolutely stunning. Her eyes though. Her eyes were what actually scared the girl. When Eleanora's eyes met the Riva's, the young girl couldn't help but to recede behind her doll. Their was something about Riva's cold eyes that just frightened the girl, and it was rare for a person like this to scare the child. Eleanora found herself just shyly staring at Riva even after Kyo had begun to talk about their newest mission. The girl managed to shift her gaze to the male giving the orders in time for him to look in her direction, and give her her orders.

Perimeter control. Seriously? That's what the girl was given. Not wanting to argue though, the girl accepted her task though, but not without a heavy sigh. She really was hoping to get her chance to fight that mage. With the clacking of the hooves from the horses, the girl looked to her horse. The poor horses were getting in double time today as well. Benjamin wasn't as old as the other horse, and wasn't as used to working this much in a day. Well, he'd just have to get used to it. Following the same procedures that she'd done the noon prior Eleanora placed the cat doll into one of the saddle pouches. She still had her sack with the paper dolls attached to her waist, which was where this would stay. In the pouch next to her doll was her second sack of paper dolls, along with the small sack of her finger puppets. Checking her inventory and making sure she still had everything she needed, the girl mounted her horse and looked to the others, ready to move out at any moment.

Lucy. Lucy was the cause of their misfortune. You could bet that Obelia was going to keep a close eye on her now; in fact, her crimson eyes were staring right at her now, a small smirk starting to form upon her face. Inside her head various thoughts and actions were contemplated with a certain amount of sadistic joy. At least Obelia knew the consequences of her actions perfectly and usually they were the reason why she created the destruction that tended to follow her. Lucy however, apparently she was acting without knowing the impact of what she was doing. Obelia opened her mouth to speak to Lucy, ignoring the comments made by Remy as he tried to get her to move on from the explosion.

But then Kyo walked back into the room and he wasn't alone. No, another woman was with him. To the others she might have been viewed as quite the vixen; the femme fatale; the vamp. However to the demisexual Obelia she was quite literally just another woman to Obelia. There was a grace about her that Obelia could admire yes, but really she wasn't particularly eye catching or particularly threatening to the seasoned assassin.

The others are to be left behind." Kyo's words seemed to be an alright plan to Obelia. They could still claim to be the 'good guys'. 'rescuing' them from those who wished them harm. Yes, that would be fine indeed."You will handle the masked mage." That was fine to Obelia too. She wanted to finish what she started with that pesky mage. However, it quickly dawned on her that she wasn't doing it alone; she was also doing it with Lucy. She, of course, did not forget already what she did to sabotage their last mission. She wasn't going to let her get away with ruining more. At least she would be under her watchful eye the whole time. "The two of you will deal with Psykhe. I want you to make sure none escape. Control the area, keep the battlefield in our favour. Riva and I will be responsible for seizing Aniketos and Kyrinthis. Mount up, we move out in five minutes."

Thanatos was lead back to her once more, alongside the knives she had requested to replace some of the ones she left in Sector 13. Most of them were the throwing knives that she used quite often which she quickly placed in their usual compartments. There were also some daggers that she didn't usually use in the mix too though: throwing knives with holes in them; one at the back of each handle through which a ribbon tied them together. They would be simultaneously deadly in melee combat and in ranged combat, once the ribbon was untied...
She dismissed the squire that had brought her quite the selection of knives to her. She wouldn't need anything else, at least for now. It wasn't like she was going after Psy; just her accomplice who seemed slightly younger if that could be determined by her build. Anyway, she could always fall back on her magic after all.

After she made sure that everything was fine, she mounted onto Thanatos again, ready to leave as soon as Kyo gave the command to. She glanced off at Lucy for a few moments too, to warn the white haired lady and to assure Obelia that she too was ready.

Despite Wills words Felicja teased him about being married and moved off to talk to Kyrin who had also separated from her own group. "You can remain where you are," Psy murmured softly and plopped down in the grass in an unladylike manner. Now the question was, how was she going to tell him? Leaning back in the grass she felt the cool grass tickle her elbows as she practically laid down with her legs stretched out in front of her. A few moments of silence ticked by and Psy knew that Will was waiting for her to speak. Unfortunately, this was an event she had not prepared for and didn't exactly have a pre prepared speech to give him. Instead she simply decided to wing it and dive in.

"In the other ... When you.... " Psy paused nibbling on her lower lip. Perhaps this wasn't as easy as she thought it was going to be. "You aren't supposed to be blind," Psy finally decided to start with. They had been her first words to him to indicate that something was wrong. As good a place to start as any. "In the other life that you had you weren't blind. As far as I know you didn't suffer an affliction of any kind and maintained a normal healthy life. What I can estimate is that something went wrong when my uncle sent you to Earth." Psy paused to take a breath lifting her head to stare at Will to see how he was taking this news. "There is one good thing that can come out of this though. You don't have to remain blind. Once Kyrin gains a bit more control over her skill she can, in a sense, give life back to your eyes and restore them to what they once were. As for if you want that to happen or not is up to you," Psy explained with a shrug.

Leaning her head back again she gazed up at the blue skies above that were starting to darken with time. What would it have been like if she lost her sight only to learn there was a cure? Incredible to say the least. Shocking. Unreal. However, would she accept the cure or if she had spent her whole life in darkness...... "I know this is probably something that you weren't expecting and I can honestly say I didn't expect it either. Ultimately though the decision is your own and before you ask I don't know why you lost your sight. It could be from your gem acting up to my uncle making a mistake. The only thing I know is that at least it can be fixed if you want it to be," Psy murmured softly with a twinge of sympathy in her voice. Probably the first bit of kindness any of the royals had heard from her. If the roles were reversed she couldn't say what she would decide or even believe that the decision was real for her to make. Shrugging Psy stood up dusting herself off with a sigh. "That was all I really wanted to explain to you. It also explains why your book ran into your face. I thought you were clumsy," Psy shrugged. "And uh... well you can actually take a nap if youre tired. Basically we're not going to do much until the others get back.. so.. yea..." Psy finished somewhat awkwardly figuring that this was one of those times where the prince might want to be left alone to think. Somewhat hesitant Psy took a few steps away examining the others she was in the company of. Feli and Kyrin were talking amiably and she wasn't in the mood to interrupt. Her uncle was still busy with Anik and that was a mess she preferred to stay out of. Will was probably going to sleep. He looked exhausted from the moment he arrived which was why she mentioned the nap in the first place. Other than that.. it looked that she finally had a moment to herself. It was strange. Finding the nearest tree she climbed up to the lower branch leaning up against the trunk. Idly she allowed her thoughts to drift, but wouldn't let sleep overwhelm her. Within Hentor there was never a moment she couldn't be on her guard and after opening the portal she needed to be a bit more wary. She hoped they returned soon.

"But this saves me the trouble of telling you later." Will whined. One would think the boy was joking, but now he actually wasn't. If Felicja stayed, it would save him the trouble of telling her later. But, Will could't stop the girl. If he didn't want to stick around, she didn't have too. With the sounds of her footprints fading ever so slightly away, a disgruntled sigh escaped the boys lips. He was fairly sure, that the 'talk about the blindness later' talk, was now. At least she didn't keep him waiting too long to find out about her words from earlier. Right now the boy probably couldn't wait for much for long, he seemed pretty impatient at the time, and just want to get things done an over with.

He could hear Psykhe laying herself down next to him in silence. For someone who wanted to talk about something, she sure was taking her time in doing so. Will took this change to fix his own positioning. Placing both hands behind his head to act as pillows, and turning his spin to both sides a little to stretch his legs out and dig his back into the ground. This was really nice. Their was a nice calm breeze that was sailing past his features. It sent an air of calm bliss flying by. Taking n a deep breathe, the boy exhaled happily. The air here was much cleaner than the air was back at home. Their was no sounds of cars, truck, or construction. The only sounds were that of any nearby wildlife, and the wind rustling the leaves on the trees. The air had changed since being here. It brought with it a cold feeling, and did not carry as many wildlife sounds. Either a storm was on it's way, or night was beginning to creep in on the group. With how long today had been, the later was most likely the case.

As Psykhe began to talk, the boy could just hear it in her voice. She didn't know how to say it. She was planning out how she was going to tell the boy her information. This wasn't going to get him any closer to a bed. Prepared to just tell her to be blunt, the boys words were never allowed out, when Psykhe did just that. Bluntly told him that he wasn't supposed to be blind. Will wasn't surprised, she'd said something like this earlier on, he was just more curious about what it was she meant by that, and how she knew. He'd get his answers soon with her next string of words. Explaining how he was healthy in his Hentor life, with no bodily altercations. As she spoke and explained everything, it all felt somewhat, real. Like he knew what she was saying was truth, like he'd always known in the back of his mind. How he was, shouldn't be. But he always cast those feelings aside, and accepted who he was.

In all honesty, Will was taking all the information the girl was giving him, pretty well and was staying rather calm. That is until she said that his sight could be fixed. Her words made him twitch his facial muscles. They angered him. He'd been told this before. Years ago, right after he lost his sight. He'd even gone through with a procedure that had a high success rate. Clearly, it didn't work for him. Sure, now it was some crazy magical girl telling him that he could have his sight fixed, but for some reason, it made her words seem harsher. Allowing himself to hold his tongue and let the girl finished, Will tilled into his side, back facing the girl. This wasn't the conversation he was expecting to have, and wished that he had made Felicja stay.

Psykhe was not finished though, and still had more to say about the situation. It was all minor stuff though, explaining how it was probably a mistake her uncle had made in his past life, and telling him it was his choice whether it not to have his sight back. The girl finished up what she had to say by telling him that he could take a nap. Literally church bells to him. He'd been waiting so long to hear that he could get some shut eye. And now that waiting paid off. He remained silent as the girl walked off though. He didn't really know what to say to her. He was a little angered with the information she had given him, and wasn't really in the mood to start a fight.

Laying in the grass alone now, the boy went over the words that had just been said to him. The part of him being offered back his sight was still the part that was bugging him. Sure it would be nice to be able to see but, this was his way of life they were talking about. This is how he lives everyday of his life. Listening and feeling his way through things.Changing his way of living, by gaining something is not as hard as changing it by losing something, and that's how most people would see it. They'd see it as a gain. But to Will, it kind of wasn't. Over time he'd lose everything that he'd gained. The way he feels his objects to get a mental image of what he's touching. Or how much better the food smells and taste when it can't be seen. He might not see, but he was able to see the world differently. His answer was no. As kind as it was for her to offer it, he wouldn't take it. Why should he change how he lives, just to be like everyone else. Sighing, he shifted his head as it rested in his arm, to make himself more comfortable, allowing himself to drift off to sleep.
