To the moon

Mary smiled and nodded. "as worried as a mother can be when she marries her children off." she spoke to him with a light grin, Mary did not wish to marry her kids off but knew there was no other way, the kingdoms had try many times before and this was the only solution. She heard the horse and all the men shouting. "Oh that girl..." she said with a smile and could sense her husbands dismay. He headed for the gardens and of course she followed quick on his heels to keep him from being upset about the girl. She stopped and looked at the girl who had just arrived. "Ah my dear... i do not know your name..." she raised a brow, and looked to her husband who was in a hurry. "I am Lady Margret. and i do hate to be rude my dear but i must be heading to the gardens. I do believe that your sister Rose? and brother Alex have been escorted to their rooms." And with that she hurried off to be at her husbands side trying to keep his mood calmed. "My dear. do relax." She chimed from behind as she came at a light power walk holding her skirts up so she did not trip on them. She started using her power on her husband soothing his mood and she knew of course him of all people could sense when she was doing it seeing as she tended to use it on him the most. "There is no need for any of us to be upset with one another." she smiled at him and her daughter. "Sapphire my dear, how was your ride here?" She smiled and slightly tilted her head at her child.

The woman, Queen Clegane, whisked by her as well as a man she assumed was King Clegane. Melodie rolled her eyes, the Queen seemed to be like her mother. Apparently her eldest brother and older sister were already here, and so she was escorted by a servant to Alex's room. She knocked, but paid no bother and simply opened the door. "I heard you guys were al- Oooookay." she caught the end of her sisters sentence. Once again her eyes were raised to the sky, her sister was always so very melodramatic. She rocked in and out of the door for a moment, then shut it. She would say something terrible, then be scolded. She was probably going to be schooled anyways. She sighed, and turned back down the stairs to find something gore interesting. Which she did find, scampering out of the castle she located what seemed to be the gardens, which she hid and watched the Clegane family. From behind some bushes.

The resting maid stood by the window: the same old spot that she rested moments ago. The preparations in the Dining hall are almost done, and she wants to leave those jobs to the other maids. Looking out the window again, she heard the clipclopping of hooves... and the sound of guards shouting? It was strange... very strange indeed. A few minutes later she saw the king enraged and later, the queen beside him. Virgo couldn't see who the person was, for her view was blocked with tree branches. Before knowing what happened next, the red-haired maid scanned the room, making it sure that the head maid wouldn't see her being absent-minded again, or else she would be scolded and be in trouble again.

Seeing that the room was currently ' safe ', she went back to the window. Another carriage arrived, and the servants assigned were unpacking stuff and the like. Virgo saw a pink-haired lady in the garden, separated from the little commotion that happened moments ago. The girl was watching them in a distance... behind bushes? ' That carriage must be her's. But why is she hiding from the bushes? hmm... she couldn't be the cause of the commotion... '

Well before Virgo could watch what happened next, she came back to reality and went to do her work again. The maid knew other things that other maids didn't know, and she did things that is unthinkable for a maid. She may seem to be a little spy, but there is no harm in doing such things. She keeps those secrets to herself and never gossip it to others.... because doing so might cause trouble, which will eventually lead to consequence.

“Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.”

Aithan nodded his head as he received thanks from Alexander and Rosetta, he just hoped they knew that if anything he could do to help them put their minds more at ease. He would not hesitate to make it so, unless it was something dirty and underhanded, not that he think they would ask him of such things, but Aithan knew better and he knew the tensions between these family's was thicker than steel. He mentally sighed, these arrangements he feared would not have a very welcoming start. He put on his pleasant and sophisticated gentleman's smile looking to Rosetta. "One is always glad to be of service Lady Rosetta" he told her before he went back to his business. He returned to the kitchen, setting the silver tray down that had still full drinks and a couple empty glasses on it. Picking up the glasses, he dumped out the excess water, and picked up a clean wash rag. Lathering a little dish soap onto the rag, he wasted no time cleaning the glasses to the point they almost shimmered like diamonds and in a relatively fast pace since it only took him about a couple of minutes to finish them. He even astounded several others, well other maids and servants by the proficiency of how he operated. In the position of servant, he could really do it all, and still he maintained a solemn air of sophistication about him. Drying off his hands, he turned his head as a servant announced to him that the youngest Radford princess, Lady Melodie had arrived. Being the head servant, his direct care and attention would be to the members of the royal family's at all times no matter if they were Radford or Clegane. Promptly, he left the kitchen, and headed to the gardens where upon arriving on the scene. It seemed the Clegane princess who had suddenly strolled in on horseback had caused a little commotion. He could hear the minute arguing of guards about the princess and her rather disapproving actions.

He would have to see to her as well, but turning his head this way and that. He finally locked onto Melodie Radford, having a superior sense of smell helped him track them down, especially back when they were younger and he was finding them so he could bring them before their parents for some trouble they had caused. He smirked as a flashback came to him, after Alexander had learned that he could 'sniff' them out, Alexander even went to the lengths of covering himself in cattle manure to mask his scent. He silently approached the bushes, standing directly behind Melodie who seemed like she was trying to spy on the group of Cleganes also present in the gardens. "Lady Melodie" he said to acquire her attention suddenly. "I must apologize, Lady Melodie, for not being present as you disembarked from the carriage when you arrived. If you would like, I could escort you to your room where you'll be staying" he said, his signature soft smile present. He raised his left hand and extended his index finger, pushing up his glasses. "And one more thing, please refrain from spying on the Clegane's family matters" he finished, if Melodie had been discovered by someone else than him, Melodie could've been in trouble.

She heard a voice from behind and leapt in the air. She rose and turned to see Absolon, their head servant back home. She frowned at him, "It's rude to sneak up on people. And Alex and Rose are up there and Rose is being all emotional and crap. I want to do something fun! And none of these Clegane's want to have fun with me either because of some stupid disagreed fifty years ago...Nevermind, when are we supposed to met our future spouses?" She spun around, bored already. Melodie never really understood what the fighting was about, and she would rather simply make peace instead of marriage. She was really more immature that way.

He smirked a tiny bit as Melodie replied it was rude to sneak up on people. "Oh? My apologies, but I ascertained it was the best and quickest way to acquire your attention" he said apologizing for sneaking up on her. Then she mentioned her older brother and sister, Alexander and Rosetta. She had been here long enough already to see them, which made him feel a little saddened that he had not been there to assist Melodie after she had gotten off the carriage sooner. "I know, I escorted Sir Alexander and Lady Rosetta to their rooms personally. And please, be more thoughtful of your sister. This ordeal is really getting her spirits down" he informed her. Then the question came about their spouses. He looked up, to the group consisting of the Clegane King and Queen, one of their daughter's on the horse, and the guards still silently bickering about the stunt the Clegane princess had pulled and then he looked back to Melodie. "You'll meet them after they arrive. As it stands right now, the only members of the Clegane royal family here presently is the King and Queen, and one of their daughters that you can see on horseback here. None of their other family have yet to arrive" he answered, figuring it was the best way to do so for Melodie. "I do hope you keep to your manners and not curse around the other guests so openly" he said, he knew she was the youngest princess and was sometimes still a little immature because of this. "And if you're looking for some entertainment. I could always give a tour around the castle and the surrounding grounds?" he suggested, but was welcome to any suggestions Melodie had of her own unless it was something like, being blindfolded, and throwing knives at apples on top of the Clegane family's heads.

"Sapphire, good of you join us, and in a very regal manor"
Sapphire pulled up on the reigns bringing the dapple grey mare to an absolute halt, the horse pawed the ground in a slightly anxious manner as she tossed her head back momentarily with a sharp whinny. The princess smiled turning her head in the direction of her father’s voice as his blurred shape approached her ”Its nice of you to meet me father” she said in her high tone, not but a few moments later she saw another shape walk towards her and knew without a doubt before even hearing the woman’s voice it was her mother. Sapphire knew already her father would be quite irritated with her, but thankfully her mother usually had the ability to calm her father’s nerves.
” "Sapphire my dear, how was your ride here?"
Inwardly Sapphire chuckled, her parents made quite the pair being so opposite yet so unbelievably similar. She swung her leg from the other side of the saddle and swiftly dismounted herself from the saddle, once upon the ground she dusted her red travel dress with her hands before taking one of the reigns into her hand to prevent Sheeva from getting any ideas of her own. She tilted her head as if in thought, her eyes looking up towards the skyline ”It was absolutely fabulous” she said with clear mock enthusiasm, ”at least that’s what you would like to hear, but then again if I stuck with that answer I would be lying wouldn’t I?”. The tone of her voice evened out to its normal melodic tone, ”The coach had no skill in avoiding potholes in the road, that or he purposely ran through them in order to irritate me. Wouldn’t be any surprise in all honesty, wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened.”. Sheeva nickered as if in agreement to Sapphire’s statement, ”The guards snuck Sheeva along with them” she reached out to pat the horse’s muscular neck. ”the final stretch on the other hand was quite enjoyable.”, Sheeva was to be left behind at their Kingdom by her parents orders for a few reasons, one being the fact the horse wasn’t exactly the most tame in the stables, and in order to prevent the risk of Sapphire making a break for it once she reached her new home saying she didn’t like her new husband to be. ”I’ve got something of a headache, likely from that horrible carriage ride” lifting her free hand she brought her thumb and index finger to her eyes as she closed them to massage her eyelids for a few short moments, the pain however wasn’t coming much from her head but rather her eyes. They were acting up again and she couldn’t wait until she was able to lie down with a cold cloth upon her face.
“but enough about me, I’m glad to finally be here.” Pulling her hand away from her eyes she looked to her parents with a soft genuine smile; her parents being the first to greet her seemed to calm the anxious anticipation of the upcoming events, events she hadn’t quite decided upon if she was excited or angry over.

Morianna, perched on the edge of the bed lifted her head as she heard footsteps advance towrd her and then her husband's voice, sitting there by her side. She smiled a moment at his touch only to stiffen in both anger and alarm at his comment on her being the second most beautiful woman in the world.
Maxentius! How dare you say such a cruel and hurtful thing!, she thought bitter as her hand in her lap curled as if to form a fist and strike him. But then he added she was indeed the most beautiful when she smiled as he kissed her. Standing to his feet she followed suit hands clasped together as she smiled warmly.
"Oh, Maxentius. You horrid tease.", she reached out and took hold of his hand with a laugh. "You nearly recieved a strike across your face. I suppose I must truly be on edge...Ah."
Morianna ran her hand along his muscular arm with eyes trailing over before looking up into his face with a soft chuckle and shake of her head.
This is to be a true test of all of us. Not just the children. Oh darling...
"I would love to dance with you. How could I refuse such a charming man with such cunning wit?"
She pressed her lips to his her cheeks flushing before guiding his other hand to hold her ever closer, around her torso. Nothing in the world made her feel safer than as she was now, encircled in Maxentius' arms was her haven. She sighed contentedly. Just being near him once more seemed to put her at ease. He was her ever constant, her rock....And while he may have cut an intimidating figure, she truly loved him.

Her body rocked for a moment, her eyes roving the scenery. The Clegane girl arrived, quite obviously. Melodie took an immediate dislike to her, and felt badly for the brother that would have to marry her. Then she felt sorry for herself because she would be in-laws with that girl. She sighed, bored. "Where's dad? Is he with mum? Hmph. I think I'm going to explore. I know you'll find me before dinner, but could you give me a little change? I have this splendid blue dress I plan on wearing....Oh Mr. Absolon, tonight will be lovely." She smiled, a bit daftly staring off into space for a moment. She patted him on the cheek, then dashed off.

She found herself behind the castle, facing a tangled garden. Tangled in her imagination at least, it was actually quite well kept. She ran in, immediately getting lost in the foliage. It was quite a lovely place, the sun beating down on her back, she'd probably have a sunburn by the end of the day, but it was no bother to her.

A woman caught her attention as she looked about her with a curiousity especially to the happenings outside, she was not alone in her ways but suredly the most noticeable among them. Each time a carriage arrived unloading its royal passengers and luggage they looked on in excitement. All except Lyrah who seemed unphased by the bustle. She approached the woman as she had set about dong other chores and set a hand softly on her shoulder.
The woman, perhaps a bit smaller in height than herself as Lyrah was of good stature for a woman, possesed nteresting and unique features. Her red hair cascaded into delicate waves and her eyes were ever attentive. A dreamer., Lyrah concluded with a very subtle smile.
"Execuse me. I was wondering if you had been assigned a floor or particular set of royals upon which to attend?"
Lyrah moved her hand from the woman's shoulder and clasped her hands before her eyes looking aside as she continued. "As they are begining to settle in an have traveled soem distance, perhaps it would be wise to offer them a refreshment or inform them when dinner is to be served and where?" Her oddly hued eyes landed back on the woman's face. She had seen a man enter earlier who was undoubtedly the Head Servant, his very demeanor and presence indicated he was a man of importance even if not a man of titlement, he suredly held a valued position.
Lyrah turned taking up a pitcher and filling it with water and setting it upon a tray lined with glasses. Her hands lingered on the pitcher's handle a moment before taking up the tray.
"Merely a suggestion. Please do not see it as criticism. I see you are younger than I, and I do not wish you to anger the Head Maid."
She moved past her, hair trailing behind her in her silvery white. Perhaps I too should don proper attire before I catch bad favor., she mused looking back over her shoulder to the woman taking in her garb which readily identified her position of employment.
"Forgive me. I never introduced myself. I am Lyrah, and you are?"

Virgo slightly tensed up when someone softly patted her shoulder. She turned around and saw that It was a woman taller than herself. She politely smiled and listened as the woman spoke out her questions. " Good day, mam. I'm Virgo; Virgo Regina Somnaire. " The red-haired girl was unsure what to say, especially when the woman introduced herself as the Head Maid. She was slightly scared that maybe her secret of spying from the window would be discovered.

" I believe Aithan, The Head Servant has already served a few refreshments to some royals, and Dinner? well I think it is time to inform them about dinner, though not all of them has arrived " Virgo tried her best to be as pleasing and polite as she could... Smiling sweetly as she waited for a response.

Location: First floor hallways
Mood: Cautious but curious
Thoughts: Well the others are around here some place.

The morning of her and her siblings departure was a flurry of activity. Everyone was preparing to leave and she watched in quiet reflection. Her bags were packed, each item put into trunks with care, before being put onto the carriages bound for their temporary home. As she entered into her carriage careful to keep her skirts from dragging over the ground and then the step into the confining box that would take her to her new home. She sighed and settled in for the journey.

What seemed to be an eternity later she peaked out of the carriage through the curtain. Other carriages crowded the road some carrying luggage alone and others carrying guards, servants or other staff. With a deep sigh she sat back into the same position she’d spent the last several hours in meditating. Alana kept herself under control through the meditation and exercising her abilities during the journey. She needed to practice anyway and the quiet solitude of her carriage allowed her the time and ability to do so. Uncertainty had clouded her mind since she’d been told about the arranged marriage she wasn’t sure what she thought of it. Not that arranged marriages were unusual, but they weren’t usually between enemies. It still didn’t settle with her, the idea of marrying a stranger was abhorrent to her.

Still it would be best to take this a moment at a time, perhaps it would not be as bad as she thought. Getting worked up over it would do little good. She smacked the carriage with one hand and the driver slowed it to a halt. Coming around to the side the old guard she’d known since she was a toddler opened the door “ Yes princess?” “ I need to get out and walk for a bit. I am to cramped up in her” She said and the old man shook his head “ We’re less than fifteen minutes to the castle, by carriage. It’d be best for you to wait it isn’t safe” He replied and she arched a brow. Immediately the man’s features steeled. “ I have strict orders to keep you safe at all costs” she smiled softly then emerged from the carriage and walked a short ways. “ You know as well as I that there is no reason for such worry. Drive the carriage beside me and have another on my other side if you need, but I have to walk if you don’t want my legs to be useless upon arrival” She said and the man protested, she simply kept walking. Cursing the old man moved to the drivers seat and urged the horses on to keep up with her.

Shortly before they entered the gates to the castle she waved for him to stop “I’ll get back in so you’ll save face, Jamison” She said as he stopped. She climbed into the carriage, and they continued into the castle gates. Once they had come to a stop again, he opened the door and she stepped from the carriage, with a relieved sigh. At least that part was over and she had an idea for the land around the castle. Her baby blue gown was trimmed in delicate silver embroidery and she lifted her skirts as she made her way up the stairs and began to wander the castle halls in a bit of a curious daze.

Lyrah stood there a moment contemplating setting the tray aside at the news, and noted the maid seemed to know the man. Or at least his name. Aithan...I see., she thought as she returned a smile to the maid and still holding the tray in hand gestured for her to follow.
"Perhaps we shall see if they need anything. From then I shall inquire as to when it is his Majesty would prefer us to serve dinner. The table within the Banquet Hall should already have preparations underway. I do so wih more of the furnishings and the like had arrived earlier..."

She let out a sigh shaking her head as she began to descend the stairs to the upper living quarters and then turned to the girl and held the tray out for her to take.
"Upon second thought I believe I shall go consult with King Clegane now rather than later. Please see to it that the royal family is well settled as much as you can. It is crucial that they are attended and kept in comfort so as to not aid in the stress of the circumstances they are being brought into. Tensions are already rnning high, and we do not need any unease. You are familair with the Castle, I hope? Please. Take care."
Despite her dirrections she was not over barringly stern, and all the while she spoke evenly and while audible it had a fragile delicate nature to it. Almost as if it might be a faint whisper. But that surely could nto be heard if it was the case?

Lyrah looked over the woman once more before making her way back down the stairs and out of the Castle and set foot upon the grounds. She stood and looked around her all the while listening with intent for the particular voices she sought.
She stood a few feet away from the royal family of the Clegane's and for a mere moment she nearly lost her composure and her otherwords emotionless face seemed to tremor before she came ever so slightly more near. She would not speak until notice, she did not dare. So she stood tall and errect, hands clasped before her and eyes cast downward as was expected of one in her position.

The maid could not decide upon which was more stressful in that moment. The fear of the preparations for the rooms and dinner going awry, or having to speak to the leaders of the Kingdom she so despised. For years ever since that unforunate incident she had been able to conceal away her emotions and keep them under lock and key.
If I fear I may crumble upon the very first eve, however am I to make it the full length of time? And what of the cermony itself? What if I can't-

She looked upwards to see if she might catch one of their gazes and she noted the demeanor of a woman who must be their daughter. Had she ridden to the Castle on the mare by herself? Usually women of such high nobility were to be carted about like precious gems. She smiled inwardly.
A rebellious princess? Ah me, perhaps theese talks of peace and marriage will not come to fruition after all? The eldest Prince of the Radfords conceals his face, and this woman is wild and proud. Such an unlikely match will never come to be. So in the end...I suppose there is no reason to fear.

She moved her hand over her apron with a smile spread across her lips, a rare occurence. So long as such unruly children as this one are forced upon another of opposing character...All I need to do is play nice and bide my time. See if the delicate strings unravel themselves or need snipped by delicate and steady hands.
Lyrah Mills knew she was suredly not the only one so strongly opposed to the union of the two kingdoms, and while she had nothing to gain from it she believed in her heart that she would do most anything to assure that Clegane's would never acquire shares of the precious farmlands of her home. She may be but a simple maid....but that was what also gave her advantages.

Finally she raised her voice ever so slightly with a tremor of nervous air.
"Execuse me your Majestys. I do hope I am not intruding so boldly upon your conversation amongst one another but I wondered if I might acquire from King Clegane when it might be best to announce dinner is to be served? Already preparations are well underway and I wished to let you know...All is going exceedingly well so as to not cause you worry."
Lyrah bowed despite the burning in her chest of deep seeded hatred for the tragedy that had befallen so many years ago. But also this Princess had brought her some comfort in her actions, and she could have almost proclaimed she adored her all the more for that fact.
