A Cry In The Night.

Meticulously clenching and unclenching her fist was Sarah LaDash, her slight form shaking with the effort to retain her anger as she glared in a glacial manner at a nearby couple. The couple taking no notice of her breezed right on by, passing up the small child whom laid a mere inch from their feet; it wasn't the first time she went unnoticed, nor would it be the last she knew. Managing to regain her balance, she stumbled first to a seated position before stumbling further to a standing position. Stumbling in a drunken fashion, she tightly closed her eyes a moment to quell the pain shooting from the lower region of her body to that of her head. Sighing, she managed to stumble towards a door-step and collapse just in time before all the world went black.

was walking on the street but then he saw a beatiful girl laying on a doorstep he walked up to he 'Are you alright?'

Softly groaning as a voice pierced through her pain induced haze, she meekly managed to mouth the word 'no' yet was unable to say anymore as she was lost in oblivion again.

Mit inhaled deeply, taking in a mouthful of the fresh night air, combined with a twinge of second-hand smoke. This was his favorite time of the day...the world was asleep, and the city streets belonged to him. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he started down the sidewalk nodding a quick goodbye to the shady figure he'd shared a smoke with.

He strolled across an empty street, nodding to a familiar prostitute, then finding his way onto the sidewalk. He was in the mood to be alone...to be free.

Upon awakening sometime later, she groggily sought to rise yet found this rather impossible. Opting to lie there instead until she regained some feeling as well as a sense of where she was; she had really no other choice. Occasionally she'd jump at the sound of passer-byers but other than that she remained motionless.

Sighing softly she slowly moved into a seated position an hour later, her small figure pressed against the wall for support as she warily looked first to her left then right. Sure that she was worry free and could be on her way did she slowly begin to rise and head off in the general direction of home, wherever that may be tonight...

Taking large easy strides, Mit turned randomly at an intersection, trying to lose himself among the massive silhouettes of buildings. It wasn't working...he knew the town too well. He tried to vanquish the mental map of the city from his mind, unsuccessfully.

He turned onto a seemingly empty street, and was delighted to hear nothing but his own footsteps. Grinning gently, he watched his feet manuver through puddles on the concrete. The soft thud of feet on pavement suddenly stopped corresponding with his feet, indicating that he wasn't alone. Squinting into the distance, his eyes found the outline of a young girl, walking unsteadily in his direction.

He continued forward, curiously observing the child. What was she doing out at this hour? And why...bah...probably best not to think about it. He tugged the smoldering cigarette from his mouth, and tossed it aside, and then swallowed a glob of mucus he had intended to spit. He was doing his best to avoid appearing intimidating, preparing to pass the young girl.
