the academy, once solid brick and lush vines that promised safety and haven and family, now
held an intruder in its halls. something black and alternate, a sentient thing who was felt in every
battle and wound and waver of trust. the children, highly gifted and promising men and women who
weren't quite children at all with these things they did, were no longer guaranteed a brighter, more
accepting future; now all they knew was scheming and paranoia and battle-hardened minds.
beginning in 2030 with the death of professor x, the absolute wrong hands cradled the
establishment and then abused it, tore it apart and pitted each piece against another, a wicked
game of chess. sent to the academy under the illusion of prestige, the children were met only with
the more violent plans of xander wilson who, while publicly acting the part of a dashing, loving
father, arranges for fights just shy of death matches between the children. his goals? to fill them
with hostility and no sense of trust--none of them know what his plans are.
but at this point, they're going pretty well.
