I think so! I mean, as we talked before, their rises to popularity could be around the same time, so they'd know the same people, and I think the same friend group is definitely possible!

so, from what i've gathered, we have:
two friends who fought and are no longer friends.
a girl who's been friendzoned.
a girl with social anxiety.
a boy who seems to have had a successful high school career
after his growth spurt.
a boy who got into some trouble with a teacher. (so scary!)
a girl who's a closet homosexual and had a very successful
high school career by her family's standards.

the character i had in mind is female~ she's soft-spoken, but
not necessarily shy. i think i'll have her on the older side, simply
just to even out the ages. she'd be a closet otaku, playing games
whenever she's home alone and she'd read her mangas. then i'm
just stuck on her purpose in the roleplay. like, she could've had a
crush that she's never confessed to and that bothered her for the
years after high school. or maybe she wasn't so quiet her freshman
year and something happened to her that caused her to become
soft-spoken. or she could've had a regular high school life and she's
just an affected~ in which case, i'd need someone to be her corresponding
"again". i don't know. i've come up with so many scenarios in the
passed few hours, i forgot most of them.

hmm yeah i think you covered all the characters!

hmm i like that closet otaku idea!
i think if you tried to go with an again, it would make finding a purpose for her easier
then again, since there's a surplus of again right now, maybe you could try to plot with some of them to figure something out for your character?
either way, i think if you do decide to go with again, the soft-spoken idea works!
it plays well with what you were planning and it makes sense of why she would experience again!
she's a really well developed character and i can tell you put a lot of thought into it!
