Welcome to Whistles the Wind, a massive crossover roleplay experience! You can literally be anything you want in this roleplay, so long as it's a fictional characters. Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Avatar (the Blue People or the Last Airbender), Star Wars, Star Trek, Disney, Marvel/DC, Anime, Video Games... if you want to play Hamlet and think you can do it... go for it. This is a post apocalyptic, survival roleplay... and you are only limited by your imagination... and mine! That being said, I want this to be a mostly serious roleplay, so take that into consideration when choosing characters. Comic relief is fine, but not every character should be funny... that isn't the propose of this roleplay.

For this roleplay, we take this story on the basis that all human creativity actually stems from an actual place and time, taking from other realms and times to come up with ideas that we think are original, but they are just retelling of events that happened before. They leave psychic impressions on our minds, but we are too under developed to realize where the idea is coming from...

Enter World War III and it's the Middle East Versus the rest of the world, and the war has been going on for ten years, but the other side has managed to get Nuclear weapons. July 4, 2020, all hell breaks loose and several weapons are detonated, taking out half the world's population in the process, and half of the survivors probably won't last long. The huge explosions all at one has torn the fabric of space and time itself, and people from other dimensions and universes find themselves on this planet, in the middle of a nuclear winter... It's changed the very fabric of the world as we know it... and not only do the outsiders possess strange powers, but normal, everyday people are developing them too...

The residents of Earth know they are no longer alone in the universe, and as a person hears a strange whistling on the cold wind, they know another visitor has joined them... some humans see them as a blessing, a gift from the higher powers to try and save them, others view them with hostility... The unknown is easily feared...

And what of the visitors? Some are easily recognizable to some, and obscure to others... but they want to reclaim their own home just as badly as the people that destroyed theirs... will they make a new world out of the ashes, or find their own way back? And what of the terribly mutated people near the blast zones... and is the War truly over?

We start at Midnight, July 14, 2020, the dust has settled, and the wind is starting to bring the visitors forth...

What if I want to play my character a way that isn't cannon?

Well, it's expected that your character will grow and change when he or she his placed in a new world with new people. However, something that is glaringly wrong is not allowed. If you turn Naruto Uzumaki into a serial killer, and the fox didn't have anything to do with it, then that's not right. However if the fox got loose and killed someone, that wouldn't be out of character. Just play them to character, that's all I ask. Ed Elric gets married at the end of the series to a woman, so don't think he's going to have some incest relationship with Al and still be in character. Stick to the cannon as much as possible, and if you find yourself strongly disagreeing with this, please do not send me an application.

How Far can Hot scenes go?

PG-13 people!!! The clothes can start coming off, without totally graphic detail, then Fade to Black. If you don't know what that means, it means that the scene stops, and resumes after the act is finished.

Do you accept made ups?

Yes, either for specific universes, or a 'normal' person from Earth. This really is a massive crossover experience!

Can I have a non-cannon relationship, or a relationship with someone from a different series?

For the non-cannon, see above if the other end of that partnership is there. Tamaki will not fall in love with the Hitachin Twins if there is a Haruhi around. On pan-series dating, sure, I encourage it as long as the other partner isn't in the roleplay. If the other partner shows up at some point, then you'll have to address it with all parties.

There are a lot of pages, how do I jump in?

It's easy, you don't have to read a single post before your entry date. It doesn't matter if it's page 5 or 500. I would suggest at least the last page or two however, so you don't intro the person into a town where no one is... but it's up to you. The same way if you need to leave the roleplay, or want to change characters. Just have them sucked into a rift, and voila, no more character.

Do I have to pick a certain town to start?

Nope, if you want to drop Ichigo wherever you want, as long as the place is in the Yellow or Green Areas. However, when you put your starting location in the profile, then you are committed to that place. I ask this because I want to make sure that not everyone is clumped together, to make sure everyone has fun. You can, of course, move places if you have a means of travel, or get permission to use the Warp Rifts.

Why are some Series banned?

Because in all the wealth of human imagination, there are bound to be things that people don't like. You, as a player, can decide to quit a roleplay, or drop a character if you desire. I, however, must see the thread to the end, and if I have to read things I really hate over and over again, it's not fair to me. I'm pretty open to most things, but those on the banned list bring nothing to the table that is interesting for this rp, and people tend to want to play these characters in a way that doesn't help the story. So, they will remained banned. No amount of nasty PMs will change my mind, and I will block you if you do.

I'm going on Vacation, what should I do?

Ideally, put the characters somewhere they won't be missed, and can be easily retrieved later. That's not required, but it would make everyone's life easier. You MUST give me prior notification that you are going to be gone more then a week. It's just manners people.
