✖✖✖ Rules? Who needs rules? Well if you're going to roleplay with me then you do. There really isn't much I ask of you, so please pay attention.
✖✖✖ Maturity. If I have to explain this, then I'll cry. Seriously. I'll just start weeping on the floor right now.
✖✖✖ Flexibility. We can't always get our way, right? Let's work together to reach a compromise. This also includes those pesky times when I haven't responded for you, but I'm online. Don't send me a billion PMs or I'll never post for you. Seriously.
✖✖✖ Literacy. By this, I mean gaia's "definition" of literacy. You must give me a post that I can work with. I refuse to constantly move the action, and if that means playing minor characters or whatnot, I expect you to help me. Your input is always loved, so don't leave me to try and read your mind! Trust me, I'm no good at it.
✖✖✖ No Sues/Stus/whatever. This is the reason I dislike roleplaying with original characters. You'll have to be pretty damn convincing to get me to roleplay originals with you. It's not that I think your character is awful, it's just that I've had horrible experiences in the past, and I'm not keen on repeating them.
✖✖✖ Limits. Respect mine, and I'll respect yours. Limit-wise, I'm fairly open. The only thing I ask is that you don't come to me with your sick fetishes. I have no interest in vore/furries/scat/beastiality/giantess/etc. Kthnx.
✖✖✖ Love~ No instant-romance. It's boring. As far as pairings go, I always love to roleplay shonen-ai/yaoi/homosexual pairings, as well as heterosexual ones. I am farily new to roleplaying shojo-ai/yuri/lesbian pairings, so you'll have to deal with my occasional lapses of stupidity. Oddly enough, I play guys better than I play girls. Go figure.
✖✖✖ English. Hey, we all speak it, right? Or at least, most of us, I'd assume. If you know how to speak it, chances are you know how to write it. I know there are people out there who are fluent in another language besides English, and I'll cut them some slack. My biggest pet peeve is grammar and spelling, and you'd better believe my opinion of you will drop if you can't keep up with standards that would make your English teacher happy. No, I'm not looking for perfection. I am looking for someone with a decent grasp of the language we communicate in. And no, that isn't text talk. >:|
✖✖✖ Characters. This is a pretty broad topic, so listen closely. Or read carefully. Whatever, you know what I'm trying to say. I expect you to play your character in-character. What does that mean? Well it should be obvious, but you don't change a character's personality around. You want an example? Okay, I'll give you one that actually happened to me: Jean Havoc (FullMetal Alchemist) is not a pansy. Sure he has bad luck with girlfriends and all, but he doesn't run around wearing women's Spiderman panties. Nor does he latch onto Roy screaming "Neeee~!" or randomly speak Japanese/German while quoting songs and drinking Starbucks. NO. ******** NO. >:O If this sort of s**t happens in our roleplay, I will drop you without a second thought.
✖✖✖ Dropping. To be honest, I drop people. You drop people. WE ALL DROP PEOPLE. I don't care if you drop me. I would love to know if you're getting bored with the roleplay, or if you're going to be gone, but it's not a necessity. If I remove your roleplay from the "current roleplays" section below and you wish to continue it, just drop me a line.
✖✖✖ Weeaboo faggotry. God, do I have to mention this? Okay kiddoes, I use the terms "yaoi" and "yuri" because they were what I grew up calling male-on-male couples and female-on-female couples. And by grow up, I meant maturing through roleplaying. Or something. Shut up. Anyway, I don't want you to come to me whining about how "yaoi isn't the right term~ you have to use shonen-ai or some other weeaboo s**t to properly express the love between two men~~" Screw. You. D:< If you care that much, then you need a life. Seriously. Japan is indeed pretty rad, but it isn't god. You should not worship it.
✖✖✖ I only play-- NO YOU DON'T. I prefer to play male characters, but that doesn't mean I can't play females. I prefer to play yaoi, but that doesn't mean I can't play het or yuri. If you come to me with this s**t, I will not be pleased. And will probably tell you to GTFO. >:/ While we're on this subject, if your ukes are as ridiculous as uke!Jean in the rule regarding characters, I won't just drop you, I will continue to mock you years after the roleplay is dead and gone. And why yes, I do hope that girl who played that horrible uke!Jean stumbles across this thread so she can realize how much she managed to humiliate herself.
