Nickname: N/A
Gender: Male
Preference: Heterosexual
Age:19 (Failed a year)
Birthday: January 13th
Height: 6’2’’
School year: 3rd Year
Soul Weapon:Halberd
Arcana: The Devil
Accessories:
♦ Pocket Knife
♦ Earrings

Strengths:
✔ Physical Strength
✔ Brave
✔ Passionate (About what matters to him)
✔ High Stamina

Weaknesses:
✘ Stubborn
✘ Impatient
✘ Selfish
✘ Reckless

Likes:
✔ Fighting
✔ Women
✔ Pranks
✔ Power

Dislikes:
✘ School
✘ Cops
✘ Helplessness
✘ Serious People

Personality: Well known as a Yanki (delinquent), Raizo is obnoxious, lewd, manipulative, self-centered, and doesn’t care to respect the boundaries of others. He wishes to live life to the fullest, giving into his temptations and desires as they come. He lusts for power – particularly power over others – and therefore has few meaningful relationships, seeing most women only for their physical value. However, he does enjoy the company of others, and can easily mold himself to a more likeable character if he’s seeking out a good time.

History: Raizo was born to a young, neurotic mother and a prominent member of the Yakuza. As bad as the mix seemed, the two didn’t have trouble providing for the boy, often times able to give him more than most children his age. As a toddler and young child he was a cry baby. Most children, aware of his family name, were too afraid to talk to him. However, he was able to befriended Ikoma Houtaro, who he grew quite close to. The older boy taught him through kindness that crying wouldn’t get him what he wanted in life. His childhood was overall rather fortunate. But eventually, Houtaro moved, and Raizo was left alone just as his mother and father decided to break things off, his father having recently gained a large amount of influence in the Yakuza. Never actually married, the two had no details to sort out, and simply split ways. Raizo’s mother kept him by her side, though he’d never know if this was a decision made willfully or not. She had never been exceptionally lively, but seemingly all her will to live left with his father, and as she became severely sick after he left. Young Raizo, age 12, desperate to keep his last hope of keeping a somewhat normal family life alive, cared for her with everything he had, completely disregarding everything else. Thus, he failed a grade. Though his efforts were great, his mother soon grew so sickly she was in need of professional care. Without his mother, he was forced to turn to his father for a place to live. He was happy to see his father, but disappointed to discover that he would only rarely receive visits. Soon, his mother passed away, and the boy felt powerless, lost, and betrayed. Seeking a new life in which he could make the choices, he began to follow in his father’s footsteps. His mother’s death had taught him how quickly everything could end, and how pointless a life was if one didn’t take control.

Other:He has a somewhat strange love of cakes and sweet things in general; he quite enjoys a good sugar rush.

Information: An Incubus is a demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them, according to a number of mythological and legendary traditions. Its female counterpart is the Succubus. An incubus may pursue sexual relations with a woman in order to father a child, as in the legend of Merlin.
Religious tradition holds that repeated intercourse with an incubus or succubus may result in the deterioration of health, or even death. In medieval times, the church would use incubi and succubi to explain sexual functions, which were taboo subjects.

Dislikes:
✘ The unnecessary

Personality:
Generally compliant till provoked. She prefers to be straight forward and avoid misunderstandings as much as possible. Conflict spices life but emotional battles typically annoy her. Unnecessary drama waste time that could be better spent improving and living. Tao respects the space of others and keeps to herself. When spoken to, she usually is candid but polite- unless she is among friends. With them she likes to chatter and forgo certain mannerisms. At times she can be very energetic and nearly spazz out. Because of the lack of companionship she introspects often and prefers to people watch as a hobby.A hopeless romantic, she will coo and sigh at any type of affection between loved ones. In her book, past transgressions are forgiven if the actions were done out of pure love. However, she rarely believes in confessions of the heart aimed for her.

The cautious connection she makes with people are shaky but are not as bad as three years ago. Before, she snapped at giving hands and wide smiles and offered scathing remarks when spoken to, or remained silent for days. Now, she can take a joke and feel less skittish around company but still keeps distance with strangers. Despite her past extreme ups and downs, Tao believes in the gray above all else. Nothing is black and white. A person a clear good or evil. Her indecisive behavior stems from her inability to strictly label people and actions. But if needed, she will chose the choice she believes to be the most beneficial. For who depends.

She lacks confidence when it comes to making strong bonds. Instead she has faith in herself and her own abilities. Mental tricks rarely slip past her radar and con artists better find another sucker. Her level of patience reaches high but when it runs too low, she will fight and bite till she remains the victor.

History:
Five years ago, Tao moved to Yumegawa. Being an American girl for ten years prior, she barely knew Japanese or its culture. Her father sent her to the significantly different plane because he lacked the capacity to meet her growing needs. A pair of friends supposedly promised to fulfill the role he was leaving behind. Though he wished to be rid of her, he had saved and planned her trip for months. The money would be saved in her name in an account in Japan for her gaurdians to access for her until she grew to be seventeen. Upon arrival, she had been greeted with wide smiles and hugs. Despite her lack of speech, the couple patiently dealt with her language skills and coddle her every need. Two times a week her father kept tabs on her status. For a month and a half he continued to drop a line and idly chat with her. The double calls soon fell to one. Then to nothing at all. Hardly bothered with the lack of communication, Tao decided to keep that detail from her wonderful new family. She knew he wanted to forget of her existence, so there was no need to make a stink about it. Besides, for most of her life he rarely appeared. Day after day, night after night he fled to his "work" and left a stranger to care for her. They usually were tough guys that hated "little weaklings," but always made an exception with her. They baby-talked, cooed, and squealed at her adorableness. Each year the person changed, but she never knew why. Eventually her own father took over when she turned nine. Honestly, it had been one of the best eleven months of her life.Of course, he did not believe the same considering her new home across the world.

Though she never spoke of her father's complete disappearance, her adoptive parents knew. The moment they discovered, her life flipped on its head. Instead of the heavenly haven at home she had been surrounded with for several blissful weeks, they mercilessly smacked her from supressed rage. Her father seemed to know "dangerous" and "powerful" men. With that connection, he forced the young couple to take care of his beloved daughter till she was old enough to survive well in the world. The two never wanted a child of their own, yet here they were caring for a b*****d's child that he himself did not want! For the next two years, they ignored her entirely. The leftovers were her source of food, and hand-me-downs were her new clothes as she grew. Without control over the money left specifically for her and lacking the power to speak up for herself, she had to take the abuse in silence. At school, no one paid much mind with her. Being a foreigner and unable to effectively communicate, she had been deemed "stupid" and "weird." With her "home" and peers outcasting her, she often spent her time at the park or around the city unsupervised.

One day, she arrived to her house of living to find it empty. No furniture, no food, no note to say good bye or ******** you go die. When she went to the bank to check on the funds, she learned her foster parents cleaned her account. Abandoned and alone, she lived at the park for two weeks. An elderly couple noticed her half-dead state and took her home. When she woke up in their unfamiliar home, she nearly destroyed their living room. Nothing they did or said convinced her of their kind-hearted nature. Even if the food had been the best she had tasted in years and their genuine smiles tugged her to melt at their feet. After several intense weeks, their patience won her compliance and trust. The next three years, Tao revels in her current life but remains cautious of how long it lasts. Fate tended to deal her cruel hands after all.

Logan Heller
╚════════════════════╝
"I feel ya, man. You probably underestimated these muscles. Right?"

Nickname:
Gender: Male
Preference: Heterosexual
Age: Nineteen
Birthday: October 22nd
Height: 6"3
School year: Third Year
Soul Weapon: A large metal glove/gauntlet over his right arm that allows him to punch, crush, or grapple his foes.
Arcana: Strength
Accessories:
♦ A 45 lb weight that he often carries around with him when he's feeling stressed.

Strengths:
✔ Being practically the size of a bull obviously has it's perks.
✔ The muscles aren't just for show either
✔ Very athletic and durable
✔ Excellent grappler

Weaknesses:
✘ Not exactly the brightest bulb
✘ Easily angered
✘ Quickly resorts to violence
✘ Weak spot for women

Likes:
✔ Video Games
✔ Animals
✔ Wrestling
✔ Lifting weights

Dislikes:
✘ Sour foods
✘ Being judged
HATES bullies/gangs/etc.
✘ Remembering/bringing up the past

Personality:
He's basically what you would expect from someone at the "top of the food chain". Logan has a ton of confidence in himself; appearance-wise and physically, whether or not this is an endearing trait usually depends on how you perceive him. On one hand, one might judge him as a stuck up, jock muscle-head who probably drinks until he passes out, smokes himself stupid and date rapes drunk girls at parties. You'd be less than half right of course-- as you'd be judging him as the type of person he likes to "date rape" with his fist-- in the face. Under that hulking exterior, you've got yourself a pretty nice guy-- when you look past his hot temper and tendency to start a fist fight when you do so much as cut in front of him in the lunch line. Logan doesn't know how to back down from a fight and being that he's bigger than practically.. well everyone, he'll always look like the big bad bully no matter the outcome.

Flaws aside, Logan's a great friend and a much more insightful person than you would think at first glance. Where others sporting his stature would stand taller than they actually are and look down on others, Logan is always looking out for people who are unable to stand up for themselves. He's definitely no "hero of justice", but he's got your back when the going gets tough.

History:
Logan sticks out like a sore thumb in Yumegawa for a good number of reasons. He's only half Japanese and his American origins couldn't be more obvious-- oh and he's also probably one of the largest people you will ever see in your life. Standing at a towering 6"3 and weighing at a whopping two-hundred and thirty-five pounds, the "Juggernaut b***h!" meme couldn't possibly suit anyone better. Born to a Japanese mother and American dad, Logan grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Hitting the age of ten, it was becoming rather obvious that the boy was.. well-- really big, but it didn't really become a cause for concern until Logan started high school. As with every public school, not every kid that goes there is going to be very nice to you-- and with how tall Logan had grown to be at that age, he was a target for a lot of teasing and even bullying. Hearing that, you're most likely to ask "Well damn, Logan! If people were picking on you all the time, why didn't you just cave their faces in with your ginormous muscles?". Well Logan wasn't always the hunk of muscular mass that you see now-- it wasn't until he got into the more athletic part of his high school days that he decided to join the wrestling team.

It was a pretty bumpy road at first-- the coach worked him to tears and his team mates weren't exactly the most supportive either being that he wasn't much of a coordinated grappler and had a hard time keeping up. However, Logan's desire to fit in with his team mates as well as earn himself enough muscles to keep the bullies away was what kept him going. He worked his a** off day and night. Eventually the muscles settled in REALLY nicely and it wasn't long before he became an invaluable part of the team. Unfortunately, as Logan "ascended" higher and higher into star player "fame", he slowly stooped down to the level of the people who bullied him in the first place. Senior year came around and the young man had become an all-around jerk by then, pushing smaller people when they were in his way, taking their lunch money, the kind of juvenile bile you'd come to expect-- and being as big as he was, there was little to no one who could stand up to him. As long as he had his "friends", the cute girls-- the strength.. why should he care?

Because this wasn't who he was-- It took him awhile.. and by then the damage had already been done, but Logan eventually came to his "senses" upon witnessing his team mates shoving around a lower classman much smaller than they were. This particular student was victimized nearly every day and was more than likely on the verge of breaking. It was a wake-up call.. one that caused Logan to intervene and earn some resentment. At that point, he really didn't care. As he began to reflect, he became more and more distant from the people who called themselves his "friends"-- he'd flake out when he was invited to parties, he'd sit with different people during lunch time, and he became the silent type during practice.

Unfortunately, while Logan may have been on the verge of a better change, that bullied student was still being bullied...

...Well that's a story we'll save for later--
At the moment, Logan lives with his grandmother in Yumegawa. Thankfully, his mother spoke to him in Japanese ever since he was a baby, so communication isn't an issue.. unfortunately, the boy is now getting himself into all sorts of trouble.

Other:
He has a strange tendency to pop up when he's least expected.. speaking of unexpectedness, Logan likes to try out new things.. though you'll find that he isn't very much good at anything else other than using his muscles.

✘ Overtrusting

Likes:
✔ Vodka
✔ Sheep
✔ Designer Clothes
✔ Vegan Food

Dislikes:
✘ Money
✘ Being Labeled as a “Rich Kid.”
✘ Being Alone
✘ The Cold

Personality:

At first, Augusten has a childlike innocence about him. He at times seems wise beyond his years but gets very excited about the littlest things. He makes no effort to hide the way he feels, wheter Happy, angry or sad. His Sunny Personality is matched by his Snarky Attitude. He has always had money to take care of him and hates that he’s never struggled for anything. Is self-concious at times about his American Appearance.

History:
Augusten was Born into the the visciously rich Sorrel Family. His family had hoped to give him the best life they could. The Sorrel Empire owned half the Oil in Asia, as well as many other corporations under their wing. While his parents had hoped the best for Augusten, they never saw him. As a small child, he began to think the cleaning lady was his mother, as she saw more of her than his own mother. His parents had skipped saying hello and thought sending a couple thousand dollars his way was practically the same thing.
At age twelve, Augusten and his Family (of which he barely saw) were forced to move to the cold Country of Japan. It hadn’t really bothered Augusten. Even at this young age he already realized that he really had no true friends. Moving to Japan would be nothing but a change in scenery and Temperature to him… though he despised the Cold. The Sorrel Family said goodbye to the warm glow of California and moved to the chilly streets of Japan.
Japanese came quite naturally to him, and having had the finest American Education previously, the highly advanced students in japan didn’t bat an eyelash at having him in class. Augusten learned that even if people didn’t like him, money would always change their opinion. And so many years passed, and he grew into this cycle. His parents would send fine cakes and presents on his birthdays, and Augusten would drink fine Vodka and invite his “friends” over for numerous parties of devious nature.
However as time went by he realized he lived without purpose. Augusten never had a friend or Girl that truly liked him for who he was. Everything he ever wanted was simply handed to him… and he hated it. Augusten would see the other kids in his classes and how they would struggle for the smallest of things, and they would be so thankful. Augusten couldn’t relate to this, he couldn’t stand it. He was nothing but a hollow person, born to succeed his father and take over the business, and his children would do the same and his grandchildren as well. It sickened him, living without purpose.
Yet, it frightened him. Here in the haven of his parents he was safe, nothing would stop him having a life of luxury… but a life of happiness? No. As long as he lived with his parents, he would never be happy. Would he leave Japan? Everything about the country seemed fake to him, the value of your life was measured in wealth and to him, Augusten’s life wasn’t worth much at all.
For now, he’d continue his drinking habits, and hack away at a stream of money that never seemed to stop. No matter what demons haunted his sleep.

Other:
Has a drinking problem, clearly. Hates money. He tends to ignore any problem presented before him, and tell himself “everything is going to be okay.”

Dislikes:
✘ Disrespectful/arrogant/close-minded people

✘ People fighting unnecessarily
✘ Being mistaken for a little girl or young woman.

Personality:
Watanuki is wise and quick-witted, and he cares deeply to those he considers his family and friends. He is calm, quiet, and has a hard time expressing himself as he has a condition where he can not show any expression with his face. However, he has been and currently still is working on it. Deep down, he is a very kind and friendly person.
He is hard to read but he can put on a facade to visitors of the shrine to keep up a friendly demeanor and not cause discomfort in a place that is suppose to give the feeling of peace and tranquility, but he is very stern when one is disrespectful or does something wrong.
He gets protective of children the most as they are a symbol of innocence and purity.
He has been through a rough and cruel childhood, but it does not phase him anymore as he found peace being the head priest of the shrine. Not much can trouble or anger him, but when he does...well...it is best not to be nearby or the root of that anger. For his facade, Watanuki is laid back and friendly.
History:
Kimihiro Watanuki's childhood was not full of happy smiles and childish dreams, but it is one full of pain, blood, and tragedy. Kimihiro was born in a family of mercenaries who lived in the remote mountain Shirakami-sanchi. They find missions by sending out carrier pigeons and other communicative devices that connect to contacts outside of the mountain, usually from corrupt politicians. In his family, they force their children to learn as soon as they made them walk on. They teach them how to be strong in both mind and body. For him, he started when he was two years old. He was taught how to blend into the background as well as how to cover his tracks. He was taught how to fight using different styles of jujitsus and ways to adjust the technique to make it more powerful and deadly. They also taught him to never show emotion as it could be used against him, and how to do his jobs quickly and efficiently as failure was not an option. Kimihiro soaked up everything they taught him and did everything they told him to do before they sent him of to deal with his first mission at age ten. His first kill was when he was eleven years old, and his young age gave him an advantage to get close to the target and kill them off.

He continued this mercenary lifestyle until he met a young woman of twenty-nine when he was sixteen years old at an old shrine bench in one of the only few villages that were settled on this mountain. She was the head priestess of the shrine, and she changed his life and was his first love. She not only taught him all about her duties and the ways of being a priest and monk, but she also taught him how to be human. When Kimihiro finally figured out that he was in love with this woman, it was too late. The love of his life was kidnapped and killed by his "family" because of the "negative" changes she caused. In retaliation, he killed entire family as they all took part in killing and torturing his love except the few children left that were able to survive the training. He did not want any other child to go through the same path of blood and death as he and his young peers have been through.
Kimihiro decided to move to south and find a small town that he and his younger peers could start over. He finds Yumegawa. Kimihiro walks around to study his new surroundings until he somehow finds himself standing in front of Yamegawa Shrine. The shrine had been abandoned for a few years, and Kimihiro felt that he and his peers could atone for their sins and redefine themselves as the priest and monks. It also helped remind him of the happiest moments of his life with his first love. He was only nineteen, but he was able to convince the mayor to allow him to re-establish and repair the shrine back to its former glory. It took him and his young peers a year, but they manage and they maintains the shrine. He teaches them all of the things he has been taught by his first love and other research materials he found online and in the library. He is happy to allow them to go to school to experience the joys of being "normal" children and find their own happiness.

Kimihiro becomes accustom to being the head priest of the shrine and all the duties that come with it as well as being the surrogate father to all the children/monks of his shrine. He continues his studies of anything and everything that he could get his hands on, and he keeps up with his training to make sure he could protect his family and their new home.
He takes in orphans or "strays" that wander into the shrine and helps them until they find their own happiness. Eventually he starts to feel unease as the rumors began and he could feel that nothing good will come of it. He hopes that none of his "children" will become involved in this madness.
He knows that it's too late for him as he began to have the rumored dreams that came to foreshadow one's death.

Other:
Kimihiro only goes by Watanuki to strangers and only those really close to him may call him Kimi-nii or Kimi-chan. All the money Kimihiro uses in the beginning and can still use now is from the family's treasure vaults that he pilfered before burning the place down and causing a massive rocky avalanche to bury everything in the cold unforgiving boulders and snow. He also opened up a weapon shop that sells the weapons that also came from the family vaults. It's location is only known from word of mouth.

Mitsukon Shou

“In the hands of Fate, casualties are inevitable.”

Nickname: Dr. Mitsu or Papa Shou
Gender: Male
Preference: Heterosexual
Age: 30
Birthday: September 20
Height: 6'2
Occupation: Doctor
Soul Weapon: Giant Hammer with a small cross jutting from the middle
Arcana: Tower
Accessories:
♦ Cigarettes
♦ Silver Lighter
♦ First-Aid kit

Strengths:
✔ Protective
✔ Tolerant
✔ Knows the weak points of the Human body
✔ Sharp

Weaknesses:
✘ Lonely
✘ Overprotective
✘ Guilty
✘ Depressing

Likes:
✔ His niece
✔ His job
✔ Smoking (relives the stress)
✔ Peace and Tranquility

Dislikes:
✘ Violence
✘ The Past
✘ Being Ignored
✘ Feeling Inferior

Personality: Shou enjoys his job as a doctor, making him quite the passionate man. Though he does not outwardly show his joy when coming to serious matters that require the full attention. Quite the confident individual in everything he does, referring to his work as a medical practitioner...however, to say that same confidence doesn't account for his social skills outside of a working environment.

Being what is called the 'life-saver', he is one who tries not to panic under pressure; even accepting what outlandish happenings occur around him in order to get a better grip on the task at hand. He is a wielder of a strong set of emotions and a level-head. True smiles and grins are something only those he's comfortable around (extremely comfortable around) may see. Happiness is something he can experience and express later in life, but sadness is something he simply deserves. A frown is quite often, a sneer the next. If you get on his nerves, he'll let you know, watching you with a disgusted look in his eyes. Though never will he shout at an individual, his fuse a rather long and windy cord. His tolerance is beyond natural, linking to his emotional stability. He believes real endurance, real courage is to keep on going until the end, even if the odds may be against you.

He thinks of himself as weak and, in order to protect people, he puts himself in danger for them, like a guardian. Shou values the lives of others much more than his own. As does a doctor shows towards his patients, but a more sincere and loyal meaning. He only wants to see them happy, so they do not experience the dreaded trials he had to go through as a child. On the inside, he is a depressed man who is very lonesome. The only person that keeps him from losing his sanity is his beloved niece. But not to draw concern to others (especially her), he gives off an aura of fake happiness.

History: Life for young Shou was never complicated in the beginning. His only wish was to live to his parent's expectations. Like any other kid, he craved praise and the feeling of importance. More than his younger sister Shiyuki. Having an ill mother, he was always with his father who worked as a doctor while his sister watched her. One time while his father was away, Shou dug into his studies and uncovered books on human anatomy and such. In amusement (punishment) for invading his studies his father invited him to come with him on one of his many workings, the hot topic of today being surgery. He was surprised Shou knew much about it, not even hesitating when he knew where to cut on the patient when the boy was only 12! This decided Shou's fate after this, where he trained to help his father in becoming a doctor himself after finishing college. But Father Mitsukon never understood the true reason Shou knew so much. It wasn't because of simple curiosity, for he knew quite well he was going into. He wanted to feel closer to him, a close bond in hopes to grow and expand enough to fill their sick mother's gap.

Speaking of sick mothers...when 9 years passed, so did she because of a strange illness they could not cure. A life his own father was unable to save. The man fell into a great depression then, enough to get himself drunk every night and order Shou out of the house when he tried to check on him. Shiyuki and Shou had an argument about their father. She told Shou he was a 21 year old man now, a free man. It was already too late for their father..this family for that matter. But Shou still believed they could be a family....that he had a place to call 'home'. She was just acting stubborn. Finding it hopeless to persuade her brother, she stormed off on him that day...never heard from again. It pained Shou that this family was hoplessly falling apart, but, he wanted to desperately help the man in his time of need, even using his own money to get him into therapy classes. But his Father never accepted them, his son for that matter.
He secretly blamed Shou for having spent too much time with him instead of looking into his wife's condition. They had an argument on the matter, his father's voice drowning out any calm suggestions he tried to get through to him. Shou had unknowingly cut through a fragile string when he said he should move on and live up to the expectation he himself had instructed Shou to do: 'Keep your head up and strive for the future.' To put it in other words, Shou asked that his father forget the past. Then...the two simply started to fall apart. His father ignored him at this point, even sending him off to live with the Monroe family until he could 'clear' his head. This was the only thread that held the young adult together when he entered a different part of Japan, away from any familiar background or faces.
Unknowingly being thrown in the middle of the drama, it was revealed that David and his wife Fujiko were having family problems of their own. David outwardly acted as if it was nothing to Shou, and accepting this the two became good friends. David was like the big brother Shou never had. He even smoked because his friend did. His time with Fujiko was also something to treasure. She was like a big sister to him, who gave him great advice. She even introduced him to someone who sent butterflies flitting inside his stomach. At this time, however, Shou wondered where home really was for him. His father never called...or even wrote him a letter...which lead him to go back to his place and find out for himself. He had waited for at least 2 months to give him all the time he needed.

When he came back to Japan, he rushed to the house, feeling the sense that something bad was going to happen. But the great power of nostalgia and desperation flooded over his wary conscience. He found it surprising the door was left open and walked inside. There, through the dimness of the living room, he saw his father ambling his way across the kitchen...holding a half empty bottle of whiskey and something else that glinted silver. Shou willingly followed, not trying to be stealthy at all. He even called out to him, but his words only left through deaf ears. In the kitchen he finally seemed to get his attention, or his father finally decided to listen. He kept talking of how there was so much going on in his head that he couldn't concentrate...even though Shou knew it was the whiskey's rushing affect that grasped him. Maybe into a hangover. The Father held up a silver pistol in one hand, scaring Shou enough to keep him back. Seeing as the gun had affect on his son, the Father pointed the muzzle to the side of his head, rambling how so much was crammed into his head...that he just wanted to 'clear' it all away. The next thing Shou knew, the half-empty bottle had been flung at him, knocking him unconscious. But before going under...a gun shot cut through his hearing.

Shou came back to his senses in the Yumegawa hospital, accompanied by Fujiko's friend, Yukinei. She told him that his father had accidentally shot himself out of a drunk stupor...a mere mistake. Shou knew she was lying, he knew the real reason for his drunk demise...but did not get mad. Instead, he thanked her for caring enough to tell him this. He kept the feelings of both depression and guilt to himself. Once out of the hospital, Shou only wanted to keep his head up. He would not even allow himself to shed a tear at the funeral.

Now the 24 year old man began opening himself to Yukinei after the whole event. The spent many nights doing their favorite things together. She could be stubborn and rebellious at times (just like his sister), but also confident and headstrong...traits that Shou found both nostalgic and...cute? Shou had never really interacted with others girls--anyone for that matter that he could call a friend. Yukinei was his first, and her actions were understandable. She had been orphaned as a child and knew not of what a real family was like. The two had gone out to see the fireworks, which was where Shou tried to pull some moves David had showed him a while back. But it only made her laugh in what he thought was mockery instead of pure amusement. Then she said she wanted to dance out here, the flashing lights as their spotlight, the fresh grass they lay on as the dance floor. Not knowing how to dance, Shou was the one stepping on her toes while she reluctantly led the dance at a surprisingly fast pace. Everything passed as a blur, too fast for Shou to keep up. His foot caught onto an unseen rock, causing him to fall backwards while still clutching her hand and waist. They didn't feel the grassy bed below them, only the press of two lips and a newly lit bond.

The two got married a week later. But before even beginning the birds and the bees with her, she made a sincere promise with him. 'Promise me that...I'll know what a family's like.' In return, Shou said that their family would not become a tragedy (like his). 'Everyone's going to be okay.' He had said that day. The two ended up with a little boy they called Shu, a daughter was on the way soon after. But with a start to a new family, an old sibling returned. Shiyuki and Shou met at a restaurant along with their husband and wife, recognizing each other over what had been 5 years without seeing each other ever since that argument. From then on they decided to have frequent family visiting time with the Chiyoes' and the Mitsukons' in order to get to know each other's families and catch up on the latest news. Shou refused to talk about what he had to go through when she left. Yukinei kept quiet too.
Shou was usually in charge of baby sitting the two kids. Shu, and Shiyuki's daughter Akane, who wouldn't get along very well and always needed a band aid or two when they played their games. Though Shu was 12 and Akane was 8, he found Akane to be the dominant child of the games. Shou always had the strangest ways to break up the fights, and they always seemed to work. It only left the kids flustered while bringing himself amusement.

It was December 24th when the Mitsukon family were going home for the holidays, their car filled with treats and goodies, courtesy from the Chiyoe family. The roads slicked with ice, Shou drove carefully and slowly in hopes to avoid any sliding or accidents. But as they descended down a hill, the car began to accelerate on it's own, the breaks proved useless. A coming truck filled with construction tools came their way, and because he couldn't stop the vehicle...the two collided. The car hit the truck's side, causing the tools in the back to fly at them through the windows. The airbag popped up in Shou's face, causing him to go stunned and blind for only a few moments. Yukinei was knocked unconscious at the time, only her cut off scream proved that. The next thing he knew, warm blood chilled his skin, a strange clash of metal heard. Out of the corner of his eye he could see his son's body pinned to the back seat by the construction supplies, his head on the ground beside a torn and bloody cake. Shu's face stared at him, eyes wide and glazed with horror, mouth parted in the form of a silent cry while blood slithered down the corners. Before he could even react, hands tugged at his arm, pulling him out of the car. The airbag had luckily shielded him from most of the metal work. But he didn't care how he was right now...where was Yukinei?! They pulled her body out next, her body bathed in blood that came from her side. An artery had been bruised. Shou quickly fled to her side, ignoring the pain from head to toe, both physically and mentally. He gripped her hand, pressing his trembling fingers onto her wrist. A faint pulse. He could feel it! 'There's still a chance for her!'
There was no time to go to a hospital, Shou had to act fast! This family had to survive...it just had to! The promise he had made with her flashed in his mind, giving him the strength and endurance. Shou tore off a strip of his clothes, revealing a horrible gash that stretched across his left arm. Close by individuals winced, including the truck driver. He pressed it tightly around her waist, using all his weight in order to stop the bleeding. But there was too much blood, way too much for him to handle! It stained his hands, his white doctor's uniform. He leaned in closer, her shallow breaths barely stirring the hairs on his head. 'Hold on! Just hold on!' Shou screeched. 'Yukinei! Don't die on me! Don't die!' Most of the citizens that were present bowed their heads, took off their hats in recognition that death had surely come. His throat burned, but he managed to breathe 'Please, don't leave me...!' Her eyes never opened...and the faint pulse he had felt before, stopped. She was dead, along with their unborn daughter and their decapitated son. After that Shou stopped the family visits and spent most of his days in bed, crying himself to sleep. He blames himself for what happened and not being able to stop it...failing his one chance at making a family whole...of keeping a promise. Where was home now for him?

A year passed when he found out the death of his sister and her husband, their daughter coming out as the only survivor. Fujiko had got in contact with him and told him of the accident. A drunk driver hit them, she said. Shou had actually been working for once that day, and hearing this news saddened him greatly. Why did Fate hate them so? And if this was a life challenge, where was the moral? He was Akane's doctor at the time and did the best he could to help her. A horrible scar was revealed and she was in a coma for three days. In that time, Shou prayed and prayed for her well-being. Or else...he would be all alone in this cruel world. He had to at least save this one life, as a doctor, and her loving uncle. Hearing of her miraculous recovery soon after, Shou dedicated himself to protecting her...his only family left.

Other: He often likes staring up at the skies (especially at night) where he knows the heavens are. Sometimes he acts like a curious child, reaching out to those 'heavens' in hopes to touch the airy fingertips of his wife's and perhaps breathe a greeting or two. Once night arrives the stars come out, and to him, they are his dead relatives waving 'hello' to him with each glint of light that meets his eye.

Shou has the tendency to smoke and is always seen with cigarettes, well aware that they're bad for your health. Each inhale of tobacco eases the stress and pain he suffers through each day with child's face, each car that passes by acting as the reminder to those horrid memories that seem to haunt him every waking moment. He often has nightmares about his past and must be woken up by his niece.

Personality:
Oujirou Daiki is an outwardly cheery person who is usually just as joyous on the inside. Though he faces many hardships, he shoulders his burden with a smile and works to make a better tomorrow for himself. While not the smartest, he has an abundance of wisdom and philosophical insight, and enjoys meaningful conversation. Daiki kept a sort of childlike spirit within himself until he reached the age of 24, and has recently been forced to mature with a small mountain of debt obstructing his dream. Instead of playing victim, looking for pity or sympathy, he quickly got busy and began to pay off his debts with hard work and determination. A deep faith in others and in the general good of man has gotten him into to trouble once or twice, but it is often reciprocated, whether out of respect or pity that a man his age steadfastly believes that people say what they mean.

On the flipside, others may have a hard time getting used to a man who does his best to speak with complete honesty, which can sometimes be blunt or unpleasant. Daiki believes that people should face their problems head on, and that a little work can solve anything, and that equal parts encouragement and discipline are necessary for growth. A patient and friendly man, he likes to make himself available for discussion with others, especially if they have some problem or concern. Oujirou Daiki likes to make himself seem like a pillar of strength, a beacon of guidance for the weak or helpless, in hopes he can help others strive for their dreams like he continues to. He thinks that young people should start to work towards their dreams and aspirations as soon as they can, and never give in, that as long as you keep trying that you'll eventually reach your destination. All the while, they should enjoy the journey as well, for it can sometimes be just as sweet as the paradise beyond the horizon.

Getting him angry isn't exactly a difficult feat, but he tries his best to control himself and does a relatively decent job of it. In a situation where he's upset he voices his concerns before resorting to verbal confrontation if continually pushed. Violence is a sort of last resort, and years of kendo discipline have helped him to build the self-control to be able to avoid this in most situations.

A complete otaku at heart, his love for cars and motorcycles barely takes precedence over that of anime, manga and tokusatsu shows. He's very open about the majority of his tastes, but secretly enjoys a few shows which fall into somewhat embarrassing genres. There is also a shelf of figures and figurines in his closet, though he's a bit shy about them and would only discuss them with a fellow fan. During his lunchbreaks, he can be found in the custodial closet watching anime on his laptop. Daiki leaves the door open if he's looking for company, hoping someone will recognize the sound of whatever anime he's watching and sit down with him.

History:
Born in a small town he couldn't be bothered to remember the name of, Oujirou Daiki was born to a pair of young parents who had already began to question if their marriage was a rash decision. They divorced when he was three, but it didn't bother the cheerful young man as he still got to spend plenty of time with his father. Around the time he turned five he began to get really into tokusatsu shows, especially sentai shows like Phoenix Ranger Featherman R. Often airing on weekends, which he spent at his father's place, he, and his father and grandfather began to follow the storylines continually. His grandfather, Oujirou Isamu, had lost his wife to cancer a year after his grandson was born and he would often remember how happy she looked when she got to hold Daiki for the first time. The three men became superfans of the genre, and would often act out scenes, quote their favorite characters or do transformation poses when they played together. Isamu, unlike his son Ryota, spoiled his grandson once in a while, buying him action figures and transformation belts, most of which Daiki still has somewhere. One of these objects was a charm of Red Hawk's mask, the leader of the Phoenix Rangers, he was Daiki's favorite at the time and he stowed it away in a small box of treasures he kept in his childhood. Another gift from his grandfather was a love of cars, Isamu had been a fan of rally racing ever since he could remember and passed on that love to his grandson. They would often watch WRC recordings whenever they weren't watching toku, and would often discuss cars, though it was more that Isamu would preach about his personal favorites and Daiki would listen. In his youth, Isamu had been a mechanic and always loved working on cars. Leaving an impressionable young man with dreams of becoming both a hero and a mechanic.

It was about halfway through his primary schooling that his mother lost her once stable job to downsizing and began to search for a new career, ending up in them moving several times before Dai entered junior high. In addition to this wandering, Daiki was faced with his grandfather growing ill, a man he idolized had gotten sick enough to be hospitalized. Knowing that Isamu didn't have much time, Ryota brought Dai to see him the first chance he got. Seeing his grandfather in the hospital worried the boy, and finding out that he wouldn't get better drove him to tears. Isamu laughed as his young grandson cried, and ruffled his hair as he reassured the future Oujirou man, "There is nothing to be sad about, Daiki-kun. I've lived a long, full life and got to spend so much time with my precious grandson. I'll get to tell your grandmother about how much you've grown since she last saw you, and tell her how strong and brave you've become. I know you'll be a great man, so don't cry, work hard and keep smiling. That is the secret to life." As the boy wiped his tears, he hugged his grandfather tightly with water in his eyes. Not an hour after they left Isamu passed away smiling.

Grief stricken and lonely, he moved once more just before the beginning of junior high, though for the first time he made no attempt to make friends. Worried, his parents coerced him to join the kendo club like his father and grandfather had before him, which he did. Despite quickly becoming one of the best in the club, he remained solitary thanks to his silent perseverance. It was around that time he was approached by a boy from his class, the young man had recognized the Red Hawk mask Daiki had attached to the phone his parents had purchased for him. The two began to discuss tokusatsu and sentai shows, much to Daiki's delight. Having someone new to discuss toku with melted away the ice that had formed and he began to socialize once more, though he considered his fellow enthusiast, Nakaji, his closest friend. Nakaji eventually introduced Daiki to anime, and within a year, had shaped him into a full on otaku. Though his enthusiasm for those 'childish cartoons' was overshadowed by his popularity and athleticism, Nakaji was not so lucky and began to attract bullies. Daiki quickly noticed and fought off their intolerant peers, earning him a stern talking to by the principal in front of his parents. They knew their son better than that, and praised him for sticking up for his friend.

With the end of junior high, Daiki saw his best friend transfer to another high school and found himself depressed once more. Upon entering high school, he tried to find fellow anime and tokusatsu fans once more, only to be ridiculed and called a kid. Pretty soon his search attracted the attention of the school's resident delinquents, who confronted him about his childish tastes, and attacked him while saying something about being more of a man. Faced with three opponents, one of which was armed with a wooden sword, he managed to disarm the leader and retrieve the weapon for himself. Bokuto in hand, he made quick work of the aggressors, and then proceeded to get them medical attention. As fate would have it, the leader of the thugs had been the school's strongest fighter, and became the school's guardian. Despite picking up this title, he continued his practice with the kendo club, and only organized the school's thugs enough to keep them from harming their fellow students. Those who would strike or threaten their peers were to be considered traitors and dealt with immediately, they were only allowed to fight aggressors from other schools. A sort of defense force. As the guardian, he was more popular than the student council and often helped classmates with their problems. Though even with his popularity, there were challengers from other schools as well as from men within his own ranks, all of which were met with an honorable victory. His high school friends, who began simply as his followers, had begun to share their own interests with their leader as well as take some of his own to heart. The otaku delinquents of Tsukuyomi High were gossiped about for quite a while. Even with his infamy as a sort of gang leader, and his tendency to attract fights, the opponent always made the first move and he never acted out in any other regard, he was never reprimanded by the school's faculty.

Upon graduation, he and some of his old gang pursued an interest in tuning automobiles and motorcycles, the future founding members of Garage King Speed. Daiki and two others went to school to study the inner workings of automobiles, one went on to specialize in motorcycles and their smartest member took up the study of finances and accounting. Their business, referred to simply as King Speed, was opened in a city neighboring the one they attended college in, one without a rival tuning shop. Yumegawa became their home. After two years of business, some bad accounting and a tendency for the owners of the cars that they put a little "extra-legal" modifications in to get into accidents, they wound up going bankrupt. This hurt Daiki the most as the owner of the company, as he now needed to work off a rather large deficit left by his failed dream. He met a former classmate at a bar who happened to know the principal of Yumegawa High and got him a job there. Using a mixture of his charisma and outright begging, he was able to weasel his way into staying in one of the dorms as long as he stayed employed as a janitor slash groundskeeper slash general maintenance worker, as well as anything else that was needed. For three years, Daiki has been working diligently to repay his debts and earn enough to once again pursue his dream to tune cars, after all, it wasn't like he'd ever have the chance to be a hero.

Other:
-In the process of losing his former company, he sold his personal vehicle and bought the company's old mobile toolbox to be his new daily driver. The Honda City Turbo II is far better on gas than his previous car, the back window still prominently wears a sticker reading "Garage King Speed."

-Whenever he's needed a weapon, he's found the most comfort in something wooden, in his past it was strong enough to fight off his adversaries without being lethal. It remains today merely as a habit.

-Daiki is somewhat concerned about his approaching "wizardry," having only three years left to prevent it. Tries not to think about it.

✘ Tends to be overly goal oriented
✘ Difficulty hiding her emotions
✘ Arrogant demeanor
✘ Mediocre physical strength

✔ Keeping and maintaining the family pride
✔ Ballroom dancing

Dislikes:
✘ Extravagant displays of human (monetary) power
✘ Assumptions of her, her ideals, and her standpoints
✘ Uneducated debates
✘ Wasted time

Personality: Sonomi would be described by her parents as a sweet, well meaning, and properly mannered girl. Close friends would call her over achieving, a work-a-holic, and eager to please. Lovers and those with ambitious hearts can only call her enigmatic and distanced. There are simply too many things on her lists to do for her to give such a thing as romance the proper time it deserves. Sonomi strives to bring her family and her father pride in all she does, often bending to their will despite her preferences just to please them. She’s always looking for the next task and the next success while trying her best to balance the life carefully planned out for her at her parent’s whim. Simple things bring her light pleasure, a flower, the evening moon; tea at just the right temperature soothes the weariness that can often accompany such a busy bee. Sonomi hides a hot temper under a level head knowing that while she always wants to do what she feels is right there’s also always a process to things that must be abided whether she liked it or not. Typically she uses this to her advantage to keep her drive going but there are occasions where it gets the better of her. Logic and a preachy upbringing have taught Sonomi to put what’s “right” first and what she feels second which causes a near consistent conflict in her emotions when her parents come into play. However their upbringing always seems to win over in the end no matter how much it chips away at her heart and her resolve at the end of the day. Emotions are hard for her to conceal and rather than devote a significant amount of time to learning the task she prefers to simply overcome them, attempt to out think them rather than mask or ignore them. Sometimes…it works.

History: Daddy’s little princess! Maybe that’s what it looks like on the outside but on the inside?

Sonomi grew up in the world of a merchants daughter, her father Masaru isn’t the bigwig at a large manufacturing company but he’s been climbing rungs and metaphorically spilling blood to gain height for as long as she knew. He’s a man to admire as far as she knows doing right for his family and working very hard at his job to keep things running smoothly. As a child he’d come home to her and tell her fantasized children’s stories based off his victories at work. Slaying corporate villains for the good on a kingdom coincidentally titled after the name of the company which signed his paychecks. Her mother Kaori seems to be more so in love with the ambition he has rather than the man. Silent whispers at business galas depicted her mother to be motivated by the shimmer of a coin than the love of a man’s heart but these were rumors that never reached Sonomi’s ears as a child. Rather she grew up under their hazy translucent shields of the real world where men could really be as noble as samurai and heroes of the past simply by doing the right thing for their ‘kingdoms’ by doing whatever it was her father did in a cubicle all day. To an extent Sonomi still sees her father as a bold warrior wearing a double breasted suit of armor while her mother waits like a true maiden waiting for their glory to rain down around them in physical substance.

These paper thin veils wouldn’t become completely transparent to Sonomi until she was older, and asked to attend a business banquet with her family for the first time. Rubbing elbows with corporate royalty was everything she had imagined it to be from the stories, or it was for the fleeting moment she first set eyes on the event itself. She was all of ten years old draped in a soft yellow dress with hair pulled back in a clean bun and her mother consistently reminding her to sit with her back straight. Her father would urge to her to play with “friends” she was automatically suppose to adore and love. A group of children who must have belonged to other attendees all of them ranging in age from seven to thirteen. These “friends” of hers would remain thrown into a forced social bonding cluster under the careful and watchful eyes of each and every parent. Eyes bore down into her in an almost frightening way each time she attended, some of them shimmered with glee and others would catch her gaze with an expression of disapproval or disgruntlement. Sonomi wasn’t aware of the causes for these looks at first but huddled groups of scared children don’t talk, they whisper their fears in the loudest rooms waiting for a kindred soul to find them and agree. Someone to either save them from their terrors or join them making the discomfort somehow easier to bear.

Children grew and whispers turned into educated conversations, more and more Sonomi understood who these children were and why her father was so anxious for her to play and get along with them. Having a good reputation with someone who can give you a boost up the corporate ladder is one thing, having their kid be your daughter’s best friend? It gave them a personal leverage; a child’s happiness meant a parent’s happiness right? Friendship was an amazing tool to use, so was romance and even marriage. A tool utilized early on before the girl had any idea she’d never have the true taste of love. Sonomi was promised to a young Aisaika Hinata under the greedy eyes of her father looking for any way to get his hands on another foot hole to higher domain. It wasn’t properly explained to Sonomi until she was much older and once the girl was able to wrap her head around the situation it placed her in a rather conflicted position. Did she do what was right for her father and through him right for her? Did she even have a choice at trying to make him proud on her own? Having not seen the boy since she was small Sonomi was often found wondering at night if this was what he wanted for himself also. Did he feel as forced as she did? Would she really be able to learn to love a stranger? And most of all, was the sacrifice worth the gain?

Ever since that night she’s been plagued with nightmares and restless dreams.

Other: Sonomi's arranged marriage isn't something her friends know about. When she's forced to spend time with her fiance her excuse is typically that she has language lessons.
