The date is August 18th, 1954. A man by the name of William Arthur Morrow gathers twelve of the world's leading (and wealthist) industerialists and forms the Council of Tomorrow. The Council of Tomorrow tasks itself with discoverng and perfecting a way to freeze special teams of soldiers and enigineers so that in the event of a Nuclear war, they may be unfrozen and set about rebuilding the U.S.
Today, this Council still exists. And after many generations, they have finally perfected a special freezing technique called Cryo-stasis.

You are one of a team of twelve, specially selected to be frozen for upwards of three-hundred years. If and when you are thawed, you are to rebuild Amercia and combat the savage mutents who will likely rule the world.
How will you react to the new world you face? Did you volunteer for this, or were you kidnapped and forced to? Do you obey your 300+ year old orders, or strike out and attempt to forge a life for yourself in the wasteland?
All these can only be anwsered by you...

1. NO GODMODING! I really shouldn't have to say it...
2. Romance is okay. Cybering is not!
3. Expect some violence and fighting. But please keep gory details low.
4. No chatspeak. Use third-person PoV, and no asterisks for action. Write as you would a book, not a screen-play. At least four lines please, no one liner posts.
5. Obey Gaia ToS.
6. Respect your fellow players. Keep OOC and IC seperate. No OOC posting in the IC thread. Put Bun Tun in your profile if you read the rules. If you have an OOC comment, post it here.
7. Post your profiles here. Approved characters will be moved to the Character Profiles Post. If your character is not approved, I will tell you why and how you can fix it.
8. We are all on different time zones here. Not everyone will be on at the same time. Just because one of us is not on is no reason to not post. Leave a post, and go to sleep, or school, or work, or whatever. When you come back, their will be a reaction post to yours you can react to. I don't want this to proceed overtly fast at five or six pages a day. In fact, I would perfer if it only moved a few posts a day. Born Leader: You are born to lead. People listen to what you say and tend to do what you tell them. Downside: You have a lot of pressure on you, because if you mess up, all blame falls on you.
Hacker: You are a computer whiz. You can bypass any security protocol on any computer or computerized device, regardless of OS. Downside: Because you spend so much time with your nose in a computer screen, you tend to be more socially ackward. Though you know a lot about weapons, you're not very good at using them.
The Driver: You can hotwire and drive any vehicle exceedingly well. High speed chases are cakewalks to you. Downside: You don't feel right outside of a vehicle, and may fumble with things that other people can do without thinking about, such as walking and talking at the same time.
Weapons Master: You are the defacto master of all forms of destruction of the mass and not so mass varity. You can use any weapon to its full potentional even without understanding how it works. Downside: Your solution is often shoot first, shoot second, shoot some more, and when everything's dead enjoy a cold beer. Anything computerized or involving more then pulling a trigger is beyond your comprehension, and people tend to shy away from you.
The Diplomat: Because of your good nature and innocent appearance, you can 'talk down' aggressive people and come to a reasonable understanding with them. Appearance: Kane is a tall, good looking man with long jet black hair. He is toned and muscled, but not overtly so. He stands at 6 feet flat, and wieghs 200lbs, most of which is muscle. His eyes are a bright jade green color, and his flat stomach features a six-pack. He has a light bronze color to his skin, suggesting a North-Easternern African ancestry. (Think Egyptian.)
History: Born orignally to parents in Cairo, the captial of Egypt to two local unmarried people, as an infant he was passed from surrogate family to surrogate family, until finally he was recieved by the Reverik family. They took him from Egypt to America, where he recieved a proper education and scored top marks in his school. He excelled at sports and was generally popular in his school. He entered college right after gradutaing high school, going into Public Administration, but was kidnapped by members of the Council of Tomorrow when he turned down their offer to participate in their project. He was never found, and was legally declared dead after seven years.

Noteworthy Info: She may not look like it but she can throw a full grown 200+ pound man. Not a lot but some knowledge of natural medicine.

With dark red hair that is cut in a choppy style and hangs at her shoulders, she usually has it pulled back in a loose ponytail. Her vivid green eyes are framed by black eyelashes and lightly tanned skin that is freckled slightly over her nose.
History: Valkyrie grew up in a rather nice household, her father was one of the people who had done the research on the freezing project. She grew up as the third oldest sibling out of four children; two older sisters and one younger sister. She was the last one of her sisters to be left with her parent but that as meant that she was the only one to know what her father was doing. When he father started to spend more and more time on his little 'project', Valkyrie was left alone for quite a while and turned to the only thing that kept her interest. Theft. She started out just taking small things from her father's room, always returning them after a couple days but then she met up with someone who truely was a theif and he taught her how to pick locks and not to mention pockets. Soon there was nothing she couldn't get into, including the place where she found people being frozen.

History:Eloan used to be a Navy Seal until the council of tomorrow decided that they were going to kidnap him and freeze him with the others. Eloan was getting off of the transport from one of his more high profile operations, when a member of the council gave him a letter asking him to particapate in this endever, when he refused the council drugged him while he was asleep that very night.

Character Name: Jacob Lance
Age at Time of Freezing: 32
Appearance: Standing at 5'11" and well built, Jacob conforms to the basic stereotypical appearance of an ex-British soldier. His stature and physique, mixed with the spaced out look his facial features cause, would suggest to some people that he is either sleep deprived, too relaxed, or just too English for his own good. If someone were to take the time to look into his eyes, they would see they are a deep orange colour with flecks shades of grey mixed with it. A series of light grey marks encircle his pupil whilst darker shades spiral outwards into the body of his irises. Though the two colours contrast greatly, the deep orange colour remains dominant to give his eyes a softer look about them. To further this, his eyelids rest low on the whites and his eyebrows are set in an upwards slant to give a sleepy, and spaced look about him. Jacob's hair contains more greys than it should for someone his age, but he can put that down to years of training and journeying. His hair is auburn in colour, causing the few strands of grey to contrast effectively and make him appear older than he is. He keeps his hair short, the standard military haircut - old habits die hard.
History: Jacob was born on a military base in Aldershot, England to a medical officer and intelligence specialist, so one could say he was born into the military life and was able to learn things from his parents from a young age. When it came to choosing his own specialisation, he took the medical choice as his mother did; a kind, caring soul who wanted nothing more than to help people. The Council heard about the young, yet highly skilled medic and decided to keep tabs on him for later reference. After a very impressive medical feat in the field, they offered him the chance to change history and possibly save millions. Of course Jake took it, but they failed to tell him the fine print and he is still a little peeved about the whole frozen deal.
Power: The Doctor (of awesomeness!)
Noteworthy Info: Once performed a Kidney transplant on the battlefield, he forgets the reason why it needed to be done, but the fact remains he still did it!
Personality: Having been brought up on the better side of the tracks, not to mention being one hundred percent English, Jake is a very well-spoken and mild-mannered person, but he's no pushover. The rich background clashes with the military training, bringing out some kind of hybrid personality which commands respect without much effort. He has a good sense of humour, mainly sarcasm and other droll aspects of the comedy world, but he can have a laugh and is fun to talk to. On the field he is composed and focused on any task set before him, more specifically when he's tending to a wounded soldier and doing other medic-type duties.
Weapon: Scalpel

Character Name: Lofren (Leaf) Kidroy
Age At Time of Freezing: 24
Appearance: Naturally having tight ringlets Lofren's deep red hair tends to be messy all the time. Keeping it at a long length helps to maintain the curls and thus her hair stops just below her waist and is often kept back in a pony tail. She had been given the facial structure of her father. High cheek bones and a stubborn chin give her a more chizled look to that of an overly feminine one. With steal coloured eyes and a light compliction Lofren often covers up instead of being burnt from the sun's rays. She is often wearing old fashioned styles like the old vistorian styled dress' however she has been known to walk around in modern clothing. When that happenens it is usually a pair of dark jeans and a lighter coloured shirt.
History: Lofren was born into a nice normal family in England and moved to America when she was a teenager. Her family lived a normal life, no problems with police or anyone in partculary different circumstances. So it surprised her family when Lofren announced that she was voulenteering for such an experiment. Her family had expressed their concerns but by that stage she was no longer a child and could make her own decisions in life. With no tragic past and a cynical look to life it was that Lofren left her family and made for the lab where she would be frozen and possibly never awaken.
Power: The Diplomat
Noteworthy Info: Having a pictorial memory and being a keen observer she is quick to recall details of importance.
Personality: She has a cynical nature about everything and it can distance her from some people. Being English she is rather formal and slightly stand offish. Lofren finds group situations where she doen't know anyone difficult. Not liking disappointment though (and being a perfectionist) she often sticks to anything untill it is done or she is satisfied with the result.

Keeping it at a long length helps to maintain the curls and thus her hair stops just below her waist and is often kept back in a pony tail. She had been given the facial structure of her father. High cheek bones and a stubborn chin give her a more chizled look to that of an overly feminine one. With steal coloured eyes and a light compliction Lofren often covers up instead of being burnt from the sun's rays. She is often wearing old fashioned styles like the old vistorian styled dress' however she has been known to walk around in modern clothing. When that happenens it is usually a pair of dark jeans and a lighter coloured shirt.
History: Lofren was born into a nice normal family in England and moved to America when she was a teenager. Her family lived a normal life, no problems with police or anyone in partculary different circumstances. So it surprised her family when Lofren announced that she was voulenteering for such an experiment. Her family had expressed their concerns but by that stage she was no longer a child and could make her own decisions in life. With no tragic past and a cynical look to life it was that Lofren left her family and made for the lab where she would be frozen and possibly never awaken.

Noteworthy Info: Having a pictorial memory and being a keen observer she is quick to recall details of importance.
Personality: She has a cynical nature about everything and it can distance her from some people. Being English she is rather formal and slightly stand offish. Lofren finds group situations where she doen't know anyone difficult. Because of his impressive acedemic record, Adrian was accepted into yale majoring in geography and human anatomy. He graduated with honors four years after and enlisted in the military. When he was shiped off for basic training, his superiors saw potential in him and Adrian's accuracy marks proved it. Eventualy his superiors decided they would ship him off to another academy to be trained as a pathfinder. In the years following his pathfinder training Adrian was sent behind enemy lines gathering information on the enemy and also functioned as a battlefeild sniper. It was on one mission that he would make a shot that would go down in the Pathfinder history, Adrian would have to take out an important enemy leiutenant but enemy forces were closing in on his hiding place in a tall clock tower. Thinking he was going to die there, Adrian aimed his rifle, looked through his scope, placed the crosshairs a bit above the target and pulled the trigger. When he looked through the scope again there was a large blood stain on the wall next to where his target was standing, he had made a shot at a distance of about a mile. He managed to hide while the enemy troops searched the tower for him then returned home. When Adrian returned home he was offered to join a "Special project" that if he accepted, he would never be allowed to go home. Adrian refused and went back to the barracks. The next day he recived a from a hospital letter saying his father had died. With nothing left Adrian seeked out the General who offered him the opertunity and took him up on the offer.

You know, I always wonder why people reserve a bunch of posts right at the start of a RP-based thread.
People could instead...
-Put all the information in the first post, separated in handy quote-boxes
or
-write the info for each post ahead of time, so instead of posting "reserved" they could post the information that needs to go there. Then there would be more exposure time for the thread before they go to sleep.
Both of those are good, but does nobody think of them? =(
