So I've tried surfing the one on one threads here for an hour now, and still haven't quite found what I'm looking for. So I figured I'd make up a pretty little thread. OKay, so not much for pretty, because I don't know how to do all that fancy crap.

But you're here for a roleplay, so you don't care right? Grand. Stay a while and chat. As the title says I can be very particular, it comes with the territory after roleplaying for nine or so years.

I don't have a list of fancy rules, but let me just say this; I desire literacy in my partners.

If you fit the literate category, then you know all the basic rules. You play your characters, I play mine. They come alive, are realistic, have descriptive backgrounds. I'm not saying make it the most angst ridden roleplay ever created, I'm just saying, bring your characters to life.

One liners are not tolerable, but a single paragraph can be. Can be. I tend to mirror what I'm given, but I like to set a standard of at the very least two paragraphs. Description adds colour and depth to our little world, and makes it so much cooler to envision and play.

Limitations aren't my thing. Gore isn't my thing, but it's not out the question. I can assure you we won't be playing intestine eating parasitic creatures though. (in retrospect...this type of gore is totally fine for a lycan roleplay). You can swear if you like, if you feel it best expresses what you're trying to say. I don't mind it coming from you or your character. Please keep in mind that our medieval, or more importantly regency era characters would not be dropping F bombs in polite society.

Then there is the smex. I like romance, I feel the roleplay needs a little bit of cupid's love. But I don't want a porno. If you want a roleplay based solely on the sexual gratification of the characters, you'll find that elsewhere, not here. Here, the characters will have lives beyond the bedroom, or wherever they choose to get down. Also, I don't feel every encounter needs to be played, because honestly that gets boring. After the first few times, once you lead up to it, no need to carry through, because really...we know what they're doing. You can sort of feel it out though, when sex should be played out, and when there's no real need for it.

Okay, so after that lengthy post, what the heck am I looking for? Genre time.

The only modern roleplays for me would be:
-Harry Potter/Hogwarts based <3 (only ask about this if you enjoy playing a Malfoy)
-Inception/Extraction based <3 <3
-Angel/Demon ---& Immortal Body Thieves
- Sherlock-esque crew
- Possibly vampires with a lot of convincing. But no Twi-love here. I'm an Anne Rice fan, but also really like the Underworld series.


Regency Era (think Jane Austen) <3<3<3

Victorian Era vampires (think the Anne Rice novels) <3<3<3[Currently reading the series and craving something similar]

I guess I forgot to touch on a few subjects.

What about sexual orientation?! What about it. My characters are straight, and so would be my pairings. Sorry but I'm just not into slash. There are lots out there who are though, so no worries.

And maturity. Please don't think you'll be playing a sixteen year old. I am in my early twenties, and prefer to play characters around that age or older. I expect the same from you, because my peeps won't be *****. Oh you know all those messed up incestuous relationships and jazz? Yeah? Not here.

I'll be doubling no matter what you do, though only one may be a main depending on the scenario. But you should be comfortable with playing more than one or two characters. And be comfortable playing both genders.

Oh right, I should mention...Long Term please. Don't just up and drop me or disappear. I like to chat between posts, plan and plot and giggle about being the puppermasters over the world of our characters. If things aren't working, I'll tell you and you should do the same. I won't be offended, we can work things out, start a new roleplay, or just end it all together. But its just rude to drop everything and not let the other person know.
