In a world of vast oceans, a water faring way of life is common. Water travel for most parts is the fastest, in some cases the safest way to get goods and people to their destination, in this world. Piracy has fallowed well known law abiding lifestyles, like a wolf does a flock of sleep, causing many countries a great desire to bring them in to order and to stop the rampant growth of this vocation. In the meantime a pair of kingdoms are inflaming the problem while outwardly trying to suffocate this outbreak of black flags. The two kingdoms pushing for this destruction of the pirate way of life are the largest, riches and most hateful towards one another, the Scarlet Kingdom, and the Ivory Empire. Both have been at each other's throats for years and have tried to expand there dominion in order to conquer the other by hiring out privateers and even bribing regular pirates to ransack their enemies borders. Which has only increased the hostility between the two nations.
That now leads us to Captain Horatio, brother to the legendary pirate Captain Morgan. Horatio never wanted anything but to be a navy captain serving his king and country. So with hard work he become just that, he did, a well know and much beloved Captain of the Scarlet Kingdom. Having sailed for them for many years loyal to a fault. Though that all changed when he received orders to acquire a powerful and legendary item that could change the balance of power. Unable to cope with such knowledge the Captain decided he would bring this insight to his crew and let them decide on what to do. After hearing the plans made by their king, Captain Horatio and the crew of the Blackstar set sail for Tortuga after marooning any who would not stand with him. After this lost of many able bodied men, he needed new crew members that would serve under a pirate's flag. As there was no other choice for the original crew to make, but turn pirate themselves. Horatio could guess it would be only a matter of time till the kingdom he had once loved with all his lifeblood would send the navy to hunt him down and hang him for turning traitor. He also had no doubt about who would lead the charge. His old friend and rival The Captain of the H.M.S Nemesis.
During the stay at Tortuga. Horatio entered the woods and vanished for a week. Many of the crew thought their Captain had abandoned them. Some said he was having a mental break and we're all doom to be hang for following a mad man. Yet the loyalists continues on in finding the new crew and preparing for the voyage to come. Those that remained were rewarded not only with the return of their Captain but he also claimed that he knew their next destination. Now the Blackstar has gained a new crew, a new mission, it prepares to leave Tortuga and find the legendary item , to destroy it before the balance of power in the world is changed forever.
