tab Ariel was born into a very normal loving family. Sure her parents were a little more hippie-esque than your regular parents but they were happy. Muriel and Joseph had met in Ibizia by chance one summer and by even a slimmer chance, both lived in Colorado but in neighboring towns. They often joked that they were town-crossed lovers and were destined to meet and grew close over the course of that summer. With his charming wit and humor and her laid back nature, love blossomed in beautiful Ibiza and soon after, they were married. It turned out that Joseph's family, the Westbays were a very wealthy family from the town over. While Muriel's family had a little to no wealth but a secret hidden in her genes. Muriel was actually a werewolf and the werewolf gene that she carried was a recessive one and it was a coin flip to see if her child would be a werewolf. Joseph (or Joe as Muriel fondly called him) never knew of the other half of his Wife's life but understood that it was something she couldn't share with him. There would be times that Muriel would disappear for weeks but as long as she came back to him, which she always did, he could live content with the darkness. Ariel was born to Muriel and Joe 2 years after their marriage, a bubbly beautiful baby girl. In a blink of an eye, she was a teenager and a rebellious one at that. See, Joseph's family was quite wealthy and when he married a dirty poor girl with an unknown name, his family was very angry. He was the eldest, the one to inherit the Westbay fortune but with his marriage to this nobody, he had ruined arrangements they had made on his behalf to marry him to another. Joe couldn't care less about his family fortune and viewed that he was already rich, and much richer than his kin for the love he had in his life so they got by with the profits from their art supplies store, The Yarn Barn, which they also happened to live above. Muriel and Joe were never materialistic and their art supplies store provided for them so they had everything they needed. Until one day, Ariel told them that she was leaving.

Ariel didn't like living in the cage of Morrison Hollows, seeing the same people day after day and she felt like her wings were clipped when all she wanted was to spread them and fly away. She had applied to a modelling agency in New York in their annual fresh face contest and won. It would be a whirlwind over the next few weeks but Ariel moved out of her childhood home and hometown to the concrete jungle and embarked on her modelling career. Morrison Hollows was always present in her life though. Whenever she could, she made sure her best friend, whom she had met in Morrison Hollows as a child, Poli'ahu or Poli, would come visit her on location wherever in the world she was. Ariel's career took off like a rocket. All it took was one designer to become enamored with her look and suddenly she was one of her division's most desired runway models for the same kind of look, cause boy were there a lot of blonde hair blue eye-ed girls running around trying to find work. Everything for Ariel had changed so quickly. The small town girl had been thrown in the one of the World's most cut throat industries and between her agent and the demands of the designers, Ariel felt she had no control over her life and that's when her anorexia first showed it's ugly face. Over the course of the next year, Ariel would steadily lose weight. She felt like the only thing she could control was her body and her calorie intake. She denied it to all that asked and put on the mask. The tailors would turn a blind eye to her illness as long as she was not over weight, they did not care. She waved off her parents' concern and told them they were worrying about nothing that was, until she collapsed on a runway in Milan.

It was the middle of Fashion Week and she was to be a headliner when she collapsed. She remembered feeling unwell but didn't think any more of it other than the jitters and then the world spiraled around her and she remembered the gasps as she succumbed to the darkness. The next thing she could really remember was being in the hospital, all the beeping and monitors around her and her parents. Their faces, the tears and the worry lines that had etched themselves into her mother's face and that was that. The Westbay's took their baby girl home to Morrison Hollows where they could keep an eye on her and help her recover.

Ariel was starting to get better, she really was. She had picked up knitting to combat the anxiety and the thoughts that would come crashing back whenever she least expected them to about her anorexia. Whenever she felt the need to count the calories, she would funnel that energy into knitting hearts and remembering all the things her parents loved about her. Whenever her demons tried to resurface, she would try to out scale them in the great outdoors on the face of a cliff or a mountain, rock climbing. Sure, she missed the glamour of the Model life but it was nice to be home with her parents and to feel the love that they so readily offered to her unconditionally everyday really helped her. But no one gets to be happy for forever right? They told her it was a freak accident that speed wasn't a factor and it was simply 'an icy road in winter' when her parents lost control of their car and dove head first into a tree. They were declared dead upon impact and they didn't even make it into the ambulance. Ariel can still recall the hot sting of her tears as she collapsed beside them in the Morgue, identifying their bodies. She could remember the rain that soaked through her clothes as she stood alone at their funeral as they were lowered side by side into the ground and she can recall losing the will to live. Her parents had been such a big factor in her recovery that without them, it felt impossible.

It wasn't soon after when a patron of the Yarn Barn found her collapsed on the floor of her shop, having inherited it after her parents' passing. Ariel remembers staring at the ceiling and counting the tiles and debating whether she should even try to get better at all. In her darkest hour, whether they were there or not, Ariel felt the warmth of her parents' love and the heaviness of their sorrow on her shoulders should she give up like this and she steeled her resolve and promised their memory that she would get better. It's been a long road to recovery and she would say she's still on it, but the thoughts that plague her each day are no longer so loud that she can't hear her own voice anymore.

Ariel runs the Yarn Barn and is determined to make it a thriving business. She hopes to one day be able to scale Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro but until then, she'll be in Morrison Hollows, knitting her hearts and trying to keep her demons at bay.

tab The Winchesters are an old name in Morrison Hollows, from the first Charleston Mayson Winchester to the most present. The family arrived along with the settling Asunder pack, always keeping a foothold in the town in some way, even as family travelled. Charleston grew up a privileged life, the family owning a large portion of stocks in the Hollowson Manufacturing Company. Private Boarding school from the age of nine to eighteen and then being moved to Stanford to finish off his education. Private Boarding schools were handy in the respect of the changing that begun at puberty. Apparently when rich parents demanded their child to be removed from school once a month, it was handled like it was normal.

Growing up was easy, because money made things smoother along the way. His twin sister, Chelsie, is the brains of the two. Laughing at her brother when he used his private education to join a rugby team, even though he had no plans of being a professional. She had the skills to run the stocks of the company, thankfully his parents understood if he promised to not leave the family and go on to something stupid like playing in a band. Instead, Charleston went into medicine. His memory came in handy when learning the biology and it would always be a useful skill if he needed it.

His life plans had actually been becoming alpha of the Asunder pack. His family was one of the founders, he had the skills implanted in him to run a business, and he had the freedom in his life to be able to devote his entire being to the pack. Instead? He was a simple healer, as low as he could be in the pack. Ignored. He would be a disgrace to the family in no time, failing on the one front he wanted to pursue. The only positive aspect of it all, is it was in his hands that the wounded would fall, and one day that patient would be one that had wronged him. He would make sure that their recovery would be a slow one.

tab (Killian was born and raised in the Asunder pack. The oldest of five, he was the only boy and such was extremely protective of his sisters. Growing up Killian had always been close to his father and strived to follow in the older males footsteps but he had some big boots to fill. From a young child he was raised with the values and morals that would make him a strong pack member and his father pushed him to be even more, an Alpha. You see, Killian had come from a long line of Alphas. His father had immigrated to the America’s long before Killian was born. Before that his father was Alpha of an almost feral pack of werewolves that called the Scandinavian Mountains home. But disease wiped out the entirety of the Scandinavian Pack and Killians father escaped to the America’s to start anew. Here his father went to school and it was in school that his father met his mother, who was part of the Titan Pack. She was the one who convinced Killian’s father to settle down and make a life and a family in the small town of Morrison Hollows. Killian was born shortly after. From the moment he could walk Killian was toddling after his father. They lived in the forest, only coming out to mingle with the pack as needed. But both parents made sure their kids grew up around pack life.

Growing up, Killian was a rambunctious child filled with fire and spunk. He often stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and angered more then his fair share of pack mates. Tragedy struck his family when he was eleven years old though. His father, never being a fan of going to the doctor, had been suffering from cancer for a few years now. But by the time they discovered it, it was too late. The patriarch of the Bjorn family passed in his sleep two months after the cancer was discovered. At eleven years old Killian was forced to grow up and become the man of the house so to speak. It was a heavy responsible and one that caused him to turn down a dark path. He got into drugs and at thirteen was selling on the streets to help his mother afford rent. At fourteen his short temper got him into juvie for aggravated assault and robbery. He was released a year later.

At fifteen though he was back in jail for two cases of manslaughter. He was the first juvenile to be tried as an adult in Morrison Hollows for the deaths of two prominent businessmen who, just a few months earlier, had been released with just community service hours for raping Killian’s mother. Killian decided to take justice into his own hands. In all honesty he hadn’t meant to shift but the anger had just been so great. He lost control, saw red, and when he regained consciousness the two men lay dead at his feet with Killian covered in their blood. He confessed to the murders but since the cops couldn’t find sufficient evidence to pin it on him he was given the least amount of years. He served his fifteen years in prison and a month before his scheduled release he was let out for good behavior. )

tab (Jun's mother was a North Korean refugee, fleeing the infinite grasp of communism and being deported America with a promise of life, growth, and the pursuit of happiness in exchange for Norko (North Korean) intelligence. Giving all she knew about the labor intensive camps and restrictive lifestyles, she was granted diplomatic immunity and given asylum. What she hid, was her pregnancy with Jun himself - his father perishing in the minefields separating the North from South. Months ticked by and Jun was brought to life on December thirteenth nineteen ninety. Growing up with a single mother who had procured a job at a law firm in New York, Jun never suffered and surely never went without. During his teen angst he was given a cold taste of Korean Tradition when he was introduced to his wife to be at only fifteen. Another Korean family had sought to seek out tradition and that's when Jun's whole world turned on a dime.

Coping with Lycanthropy ontop of teenage hormones - he became a ticking time bomb. But all it took, was a frightened, hateful look from his young bride and he knew instantly this wasn't the life he wanted to live. He rebelled like any teen, drastically changing grades, clothes, hairstyles, groups of intellectual and academic friends were traded in for the no-goods and hoodrats. Jun took to the street, fleeting his mother's scornful gaze and stern attitude - fleeing his home and heritage, and was welcomed into the open arms of the Triad. Abandoning the only person who wanted the life she'd never receive for her offspring. Dropping out of high school, Jun headed west - searching for something that wasn't "supposed to be". He took to a life of Thievery and less-than-pleasant deals to sustain himself. Surviving on the bare minimum while he hopped trains, hitch hiked, and fell into more bad nuts. He'd long since learned to control his Lycanthropy, never once letting it get the better of him, features his mother taught him that he deemed the only benefit from his past. Left with a loose head and a darker side to his humanity - he was eventually picked up for Armed Battery and 2nd Degree Assault outside Denver CO. Serving a brief sentence in the juvenile detention center, he caught wind of a community within state lines that was small, forthcoming, and hiding something that nipped his curiosity. Understanding.

Released prior to his eighteenth birthday, he gathered the clothes he was arrested in and continued his nomadic lifestyle, picking up more whispers in the wind. Morrison Hollow's, a family oriented town with a renown sense of brotherhood and bond that he'd never seen outside of a cult or illegal organization. So, he did what anyone would do - he showed up in town one day, a four hundred dollar taxi cab ride from Denver and there he stood. Frozen, out of his element, broke, and alone. To say that he stuck out like a third arm isn't doing the situation justice. Colorado didn't exactly own a high Asian populace to start with, but he was stunned to spot another in town altogether. One became three, and it was easily identified they were a family. A sense of guilt washed over him before he drowned the sorrow in his destructive personality and was picked up on disorderly conduct. Fleeing the small town of do-gooders, he found himself in a pub in the next town over. Plastered drunk, halfway through his tenth round of Irish Car Bomb's when he noticed a group of men become too rowdy on a girl. He didn't care, but he wanted the pain. He sought out for it - his destructive personality taking the reigns. Bottles shattered, fists flew, and before he knew it - he was sharing a round with the other Victor of the brawl. A lovely lass named Sabine. Light flirting was delivered, indubitable due to the alcohol - but it ended as such. Jun wasn't interested, and it appeared she wasn't either. There was a connection, but that was bound to be with the duo being Wolves. Calling it a night, Jun left her with his hefty tab - since he didn't have a penny to his name. Greeted with the crisp chilly air, he was reunited with the hooligans he'd royally beaten. Only they had the chance to sober up, he didn't - and he lost his partner in crime. Before long, he was nestled comfortable in a trash pile behind the establishment when Sabine found him again, returning the favor he delivered earlier - she 'saved' him.

Dragged back to Morrison, he was left in the tender care of Lila who wanted nothing more than to soothe the turmoil Jun wielded at his core. A constant scrutinizing and self loathing that was toxic and hot to the millionth degree. When Jun awoke, he never left. A sense of purpose came to him, surrounded by Lila's artwork - her own reprisal of hate blossoming into love and admiration for struggle and wicked sense of deception with each brushstroke. Purposely locked in the room for more reasons than Jun cared to remember, he was given the indoctrination and allowed to stay - but he pulled his weight. He refined his reflexes, his street smarts, and was quickly on the fast track of being an Scout for the Asunder pack. "Graduating" with flying colors, he was welcomed into his new family and was surprised to find himself wanting to stay. To help those who helped him in his time of need, a sense of debt that didn't exist and certainly didn't need repaying. Years passed and Jun wielded this sense of family with uncertainty for a while, each member giving him the space he needed and allowing him to alienate himself - with the exception of two. Lila and Sabine. The only two he knew would care for him if troubled times took over again, he grew close to the two 'sisters' and promised to pay the ever growing "Tab" between Jun and Sabine. In time, Jun warmed up - becoming more socially able but still forcing himself to be the outcast with crude jokes, pranks, or the general distaste of flavor.

The past he long sought to forgot caught up with him, a letter reaching him with no return address but with an inscription of his mothers handwriting was all Jun needed. She'd grown ill with a brain tumor and didn't bother to have any surgery done. She'd been hospitalized after a stroke, hence the tumor being discovered, and was weeks away from peril when Jun temporarily left Morrison to give his mother the closure she never received. His arrival in New York didn't go unnoticed, his former boss caught wind of the Gaijin returning and was quickly picked up enroute to the hospital. It only took one blow for the former masochist to snap. He left the waterfront warehouse, soiled in blood. With a pocket full of cash from his deceased coworkers, he dressed himself in a decent suit and went to visit his mother who wept at the sight of her long lost son. Apologies were exchanged, gratification reunited before Jun stayed the last three nights with his mother before she succumbed to a coma. Paying the first three months of life support with the leftover cash, he quickly cashed in his plane ticket back to Denver and sold every possession in his mothers house (with the exception of a pocket watch that was supposed to reach Jun on his eighteenth birthday). The money derived went towards a surgery to have the cancerous tumor removed from his mothers brain, and he soon found himself stuck in NY once again. News of the Merge met him via email and he promised Sabine and Lila he would return in due time, after settling his mother into a nice home - now coping with her recovery and decent into dementia and Alzheimer's from the surgery. )

tab Sawyer didn’t have the best start in life. He was born into an altogether normal human family. His father was a lawyer and his mother had worked at the police station before she retired to become a stay at home mother. They lived in the suburbs, white picket fence. Sawyer had a normal childhood the first half of his life. He was a very playful and adventurous kid. He was always outside, always in nature. He loved to go camping with his parents and out into the woods where he could spend hours playing in the brooks, catching frogs and climbing trees. Soon Sawyer became a big brother to a bouncing baby boy and not long after that he became a brother again to a baby sister. He was very close to his family. He adored his siblings. He fought and bickered with his brother, as all brothers do, but at the end of the day Sawyer was an amazing big brother. But his entire life would change at the tender age of six years old. Sawyer remembers it vividly, or at least now he does. The crash. As a kid he didn’t know the details though. All he knew was that it was Friday night and Friday nights they always went to the local pizza parlor and ate the biggest cheese and pepperoni pizza they had and then they went bowling. All tuckered out from bowling, Sawyer sat in his booster seat lazily trailing his fingers along the window. He could remember how cold the window felt under his skin, cold from the start of winter. It was raining and he was racing the raindrops with his finger to see who would reach the bottom first. His three year old brother had his small head on his shoulder as he slept and his infant sister slept soundly in her car seat as he listened to his parents chat about whatever it was parents talked about.

Next thing he knew there was the sound of screeching car horns, brakes squealing and a bright light rushing towards his moms side of the car. When he woke up he was upside down. His seatbelt dug into his shoulders and his waist and blood poured from a wound on his head. He couldn’t hear. His ears were ringing and his shrill cries and sobs tore through the otherwise silent night air. Sawyers cries are what alerted people to the gruesome crash scene. He was the only member of his family to survive. The driver that hit them, intoxicated, survived with minor scrapes and a broken wrist. In the hospital all Sawyer could remember were the strange people and the strange sounds and smells and wanting his mommy and his daddy but they never came and he was so scared. Then Aunt Milly and Uncle Jack were there but they weren’t his mommy and daddy. Though Sawyer had survived the crash he did not leave without injury. Swelling in the brain caused by a concussion, a broken pelvis and legs that had been crushed by his father’s seat. The seat belt had broken his shoulder blade. Sawyer had to learn how to walk, talk and eat again. How to function. He was never the same after the crash.

It took him almost two years to be released from the hospital. After going through months of therapy to learn everything again Sawyer was finally released into the care of his uncle and aunt. Although he could speak, Sawyer would not utter a word for an entire year after that. He found solace in nature. His aunt and uncle lived close to the woods and would often leave young Sawyer in the care of the family dogs as they ran errands. Sawyer was rather close to the family dogs. Two breeding german shepherds named Roxie and Tank. Whether it was because Roxie and Tank had pups of their own before Sawyer or simply because they were just good dogs, they took to him like fish to water. The duo would often sleep nestled together, they played together and for a long time it was the sheps that Sawyer would talk to, not his uncle and aunt. They would obediently follow Sawyer into the woods to explore or play or whatever it was that quiet Sawyer wanted to do. It was in the dogs that Sawyer found his solace and the ability to move on after his traumatic experience.

Around puberty Sawyer started to get increasingly sick. He would run high fevers, he would vomit most food and would just spend his days locked in his room. Roxie and Tank practically went crazy with their need to be by Sawyer during his time of need. When he was sick they would never leave his side. It was one night that the dogs really began going crazy, howling and barking up a storm as they raced the length of the cabin in a frenzy. The commotion woke his aunt and uncle who went to check on Sawyer but Sawyer was gone. His bedroom window was shattered and he was simply gone. His aunt and uncle were quick to report him missing, kidnapped by some maniac right from his bed. The dogs knew better though. They barked and they howled and they scratched at the back door until Uncle Jack opened it for them and they bolted into the night. Uncle Jack was quick to follow his dogs on his ATV and when he found them they were barking at a wolf. Backed up into the side of a boulder as he growled and swatted at the two canines. Scattered around the wolf were bits and pieces of Sawyers pajama, bloodied from the window shards, but of course Uncle Jack didn’t know that was Sawyer. He was quick to grab the rifle he kept on his ATV. He aimed it at the wolf that he assumed had killed his nephew but before he could take a shot a howl broke the night, causing Uncle Jack to pause just long enough for Sawyer to lunge and sink his teeth into his uncles hand out of fear.

It was his uncles screams and the gruesome sounds of snarling and growling that alerted another werewolf to the scene. The larger male was quick to shove Sawyer off the human. A fight erupted between the two wolves and Sawyer was quickly chased off with the bigger wolf hot on his heels. Soon the sound of barking dogs and yelling would disappear, replaced instead by the sounds of paws thumping on the snowy winter ground. Soon both wolves ran side by side and Sawyer all but forgot why he was running and instead lost himself in the exhilaration of the wind whipping his fur and his paws thumping onto the ground. Unbeknownst to him, the large wolf was leading him away from home. The big male was leading newly shifted Sawyer deep into Asunder territory where his home resided.

That night Sawyer shifted for the first time, thus discovering a newfound part of himself he’d never known he’d had before. That night he also met Samuel, Beta for the Asunder Pack, who decided to take the confused boy under his wing and tutor him in the ways of the wolf. Sawyer doesn’t remember much else of that night but in the morning when he woke up he had a skull splitting headache. On top of that he had to listen to the delusional ramblings of some guy who thought he was a werewolf and there were packs of werewolves. Yeah sure whatever. Last night had been all some crazy dream. This guy was crazy. Sure he had no idea how he got here in the first place but his best explanation was that crazy man over here had drugged him and kidnapped him. He was wearing clothes that weren’t his and had no idea where he was. He demanded to be taken home. Samuel took him by surprise and complied with Sawyers wishes. On the drive home he would leave Sawyer with a small bit of advice, “If you need anything kid, I’m just a howl away.”

Sawyer refused to believe what the crazy man spouted about werewolves and just filed last night under some weird dream/nightmare caused by stress at school. After that night Sawyer had a pretty normal couple of days, no more weird nightmares or anything. Everything was going back to normal. By the end of the week though he was once again shifting and tearing through the forest. Samuel was once again there to save the inexperienced werewolf from revealing himself to human society. By the fifth shift Sawyer was having a hard time shrugging off these episodes as weird day dreams and nightmares. He decided to give Samuel a chance to explain what he could but again he found himself seriously doubting everything the older man said. First off, how could he even be a werewolf? His parents were pretty much human and he’d never been bitten by anything more than an angry cat. Than Samuel suggested something so ludicrous that Sawyer got up and left the house. His mom would never cheat on his dad, and vice versa. From what he remembered and from what his uncle and aunt told him, they’d loved each other dearly. Sure they’d had their rough patches but they would never cheat.

Unbeknownst to Sawyer though, his mother had cheated. In the early years of their marriage when Sawyers father was away on business and left his mother alone for so long she had to find some out let of course. It’d been one stupid, crazy night and the guy had picked up and left before morning came. This unidentified male had been a werewolf. A Titan werewolf and he was very much alive and knew of Sawyer’s existence. Did he care though? Not so much. He had no need for a b*****d son and would keep his distance even as Sawyer grew to assimilate into the Asunder Pack and began accepting his role as a werewolf. What helped Sawyer the most though was how tight knit the pack of werewolves were. After the crash he’d struggled to grow close to his aunt and uncle. He was closer to his dogs then he was to his aunt and uncle. But through the pack he found family again. He found friends and he learned to be happy again and he soon enough he was back to his old self, before the crash. Carefree, adventurous and happy.
