Ever since being taken from the street, Raizo has never been the same. He was ten, abandoned by his parents, and left on the street to die. He was alone; cold; hungry; and by this point, he felt like giving up on everything. On one of the coldest and blackest nights of his life, it had begun to thunderstorm. The thunder was at its loudest, and the lightning just didn’t want to stop. He proceeded in doing his usual routine of crawling into the ditch in which he called home, and then crawled under the scrap of metal that sufficed as a roof and huddled with his knees in his chest. It was hard for him to sleep that night. He kept seeing shadows that moved all around him. Every time this happened, a small swooshing was made. Or how he hated that swooshing. It scared him. He flinched when they got closer to where he lay, and dug his head into his hands. Suddenly, he felt a great wave of tiredness hit him. He couldn’t fight the consciousness, no matter how hard he tried. When he woke up next, he was in the back of a moving truck. He was thrashed around, or at least until he grabbed onto the rail and pulled himself up. The only problem was that it was pitch black. He dug into his pocket for the lighter that he carried around for emergency uses only –including times like this, which never really happened until today. Raizo flicked it on, and the flame illuminated part of the trailer. He couldn’t see much from where he was standing, but it was light enough for him to be able to see that in a corner of the dark box he sat in, was a dark shape. It stuck out in the shadows, but just barely. He gasped and dropped his lighter in surprise; the lights went out. A familiar swooshing sound was heard. Raizo whimpered, then grabbed for the lighter again, and lighting it. The figure from the corner was gone. But the swooshing continued, and Raizo turned sharply at every sound he heard. And then, suddenly, there was no sound. Raizo remained still, breathing hard and fast. There was one last swooshing from behind him and Raizo turned, but he didn’t have enough time to say anything. Two finger from each of the masked being reached out and touched his temples. “Sleep,” it said to him with a smooth, tender voice, “sleep boy. We are almost there.”

                                                                            ♛ ⋮ ◞ TIME SKIP!

It was a while later when Raizo finally woke up. His head throbbed, but he was dry. He sat up slowly, and looked down at his body, which was clothed in soft black pants, and a matching top to go with it. Where had they come from? He asked himself this, and then gasped as a small shuffling noise was heard behind him. Was someone watching him while he slept? He slowly turned his head and watched as an older man began to get to his feet. He was much taller, and looked far too powerful to run from, so he simply stared up at him with his eyes wide, and his breathing coming heavy. ”Raizo, please stand.” The man said to him, or maybe it was him. He never had a name, so he wasn’t sure. Instead, he looked around slowly and then back over to the man. ”Is it me you are talking to, sir?” The male nodded, and then motioned his hand and Raizo stood. ”Raizo is the name that I have given you, my son. Now come, let us meet your new brothers and sisters.” He put a hand on the young boys shoulder and guided him to the door. They then walked down a set of hallways, with rice paper panels as the walls and into a large mess area. Kids lined in rows were standing parallel to the door. They bowed when the master came into view. He grunted to get their attention and they all stood erect again and looked to him with curious eyes, though none of them smiled. The master stepped forward and guided Raizo to do the same. ” This is my new son. I have given him the name Raizo. Welcome him as your brother.” The master said and they bowed their heads to him ”Welcome Raizo.” Though one head remains upright. It is a girl, standing to the far end of the room. Her name was soon to be known as Aika, the clan leader’s daughter. He looked her directly in the eyes and held her gaze there. He respected her, and he knew he would get close with her, though he never truly imagined just how close.

                                                                            ♛ ⋮ ◞ TIME SKIP!

It had been fourteen years since that night, and Raizo knew it like it was yesterday. The first day that he had saw Aika. She was one of the greatest warriors in their clan, apart from Hiro- the clan’s leader, and himself. Still, he respected her like he respected her that first day, but he always gave her his all. He never held back. It was because he never had too. She was his strongest opponent, and he never let his guard down near her. She always trained herself harder than all of the others, for this reason. She always wanted to beat him. But it just wasn’t possible, not even if she meditated for her longest. Being a warrior of the shadows was in his blood. The master told him so, and he felt it himself. It was a night of loss. One of the younger students decided to leave, and everyone had to gather in the mess hall to watch her execution. He did, and his gut burned. His lip quivered. As walking back to the hut, the master caught up to him and put a hand on his shoulder like he normally did to comfort him. ”You should of died the first night I had you fight.” His words were, however, not at all what they were supposed to be. Raizo simply nodded and kept his eyes in front of him. ”I brought you from the streets. Abandoned by your parents, without a home, without people to take care of you. You should’ve done what most children do, and gone quietly from this world, to the next.” He paused here and tightened his grip on the older males shoulder. ”But instead, you fought, and you won. You survived because you are different. You are special. That is why you are here. That is why the Great Current, which flows beneath all life, carried you to me.” With that final word, he walked off. Raizo stopped in his tracks to think. It was all true. How else would he have lived had the true instinct not been there? Raizo shook his head of the flashback and headed to his practice room. He wore no shirt for his practice, so that his scars. ” Scars are the calligraphy of violence, Raizo. They inscribe the story of one's life.” Hiro would say to him every time he was “whipped into shape”. Literally.

Raizo grabbed, on the way, his shuriken (flat piece of metal with sharpened points, used to throw at enemies), and kyoketsu-shoge (a long blade attached to a long line of chain used for slashing and jabbing) and continued. He had swords waiting for him there already. As he entered, he breathed out a sigh of relief. The room was empty. He began with a few stretches, followed by a series or meditations, for relaxing his muscles and finding his core. It lifted him, and he was now completely focused, or so he thought. He began swiping with the shoge first, with a bit of the line wrapped around his arm, then let it dangle at his side and stepped forward. A few dummies fell from the roof, in which they lay, rigged. He looked up for a second, then to the bags full of sand, and swiped. In that exact movement, a line formed on two of six bags. He swiped again, another mark. Again, he swiped. The last two were out. He sat there, with his hair in his eyes as he breathed heavily. Next, came the shuriken. He put four in each hand, and two thing wooden poles at the other end of the arena. On his face, lay a blind fold, which he had carefully placed there in order to test his skill. He let out a huff, and a slight yell, and sent the blades flying. The four in the right landed in one pole, and the four in the left hand landed in the other pole. He took the piece of fabric from his face, then rubbed his face, and took the steps toward the swords. He slashed the air with them, and flipped in air multiple time, doing this several times – like in this video, then stopped and ran a hand down his sweaty chest. It was just then that a loud bell rang. It was time for the test, but not his however. It was Aika’s. Her father was giving her one in order to make sure she was a string queen, who could defend herself, and her kids. You see, Raizo was set to be the next clan’s leader when Hiro dies. But Aika isn’t his pair. She was set to marry the prince of a neighboring clan in order to bring peace. For what he knew, he would be at this ceremony to “watch in” on Aika. He was making sure she was worthy enough. Since he and Aika and he were best friends, he knew how he felt about it, but she couldn’t refuse, otherwise, she would be banned from their clan.

He made his way to the fighting arena, where almost every man from the clan was lined up. His place was at the very back, he was last. Raizo flipped his hair back from his face, and then looked up to the “thrones” that sat above. One was empty. The middle. It was Hiro’s. He was escorting the princess onto the mat. On the right hand side was Shin, prince of the Kizani clan. He was staring down at the princess intently, a little too close. On the other end was her mother. He turned his head away just as Shin turned his towards Raizo. His eyes were now set on Aika, as she entered the rind and faced off the men. One by one, they were out, and their failure was “sown in to the skin” by a cut on their left cheek. Her trade mark. And then it was down to just then, and he had in his hand his kyoketsu-shoge, which was all he needed. He smirked at her, then ran a hand through his hair, and crouched. After this move, he circled her, and then struck out with his blade. He wasn’t meaning to cut her, but he did mean for it to wrap around her ankle. It did this, and she was dragged to the ground with a loud thump. He stood above her then, and wrapped the chain around her wrist and pulled again, making her weapon go flying out of her hand. It all happened that she probably didn’t know what hit her. As she was standing, he threw back that weapon, and dove for a sword. He weighed it in his hands, and it felt balanced, and good. He smiled, and then circled her.

It was nowhere near quiet where Taecyeon was now. The bar he sat at was full and the ladies draped over him, trying to get his number and have him buy them a drink. But he simply ignored them, throwing back his head with another shot in his head. With a sigh, he slammed his drink down, and then ran a hand through his hair, needing to get a bit of air. The atmosphere in the club was a bit hectic, even for him; a man who loved to party. And the music was literally throwing people from the walls with the bass. He ignored this, however, and slid his way through the crowd, being groped in many uncomfortable places whilst doing so. It was an uncomfortable position to be in, but he was nearly drunk, so he did not care anymore. He simple went with the flow, smiling and dancing, until he got to the out ring of dancer. It was less crowded, and full of socially awkward teenagers who were nowhere close to a legal age to be there. As he turned to look at the hell that he crawled through, he noticed a suspicious figure staring at him. Taec cocked his head to the side, staring back, until the man smirked at him and turned to one of the security officers. What the ********? Taecyeon needed to get out of there. He knew he had not paid for any of his drinks, but that was because he compelled the bartender to let his bill slide. When he surfaced out the door, a wall of cold air hit him, and he gasped. There was fog all around him. Only one person he knew could surface such a powerful fog as this. Dang-Woon. He twisted his head to the side as a security guard began to holler after him. ”Yah, you didn’t pay! Get back in there and pay before the police get involved.’

But Taec hardly needed to pay attention. He simply raised his hand, and the man fell to the floor, his neck broken and blood pouring from his mouth. Taec had other things to set his mind to. Like finding where Dang Woon had gone too. He knew he wasn’t far. He could still smell him. In fact, he was probably spying down on the Korean rapper right now. ”You know, you’re pretty brave emerging here after what happened before. But I bet you thought “You know what, it’s a club! What can he do here? After all, he is quite popular, and everyone would call 2PM’s rapper a murderer.” But you know what. I am just about ready to rip your lungs from her chest.” Taec growled at open air, breathing heavily. A swooshing sound came from behind him, and Taec froze in position, knowing exactly what he would see when he turned around. ”Oh, come on Taecyeon. Calm your tits would you? What happened was the past! You need to just let it go! She was just a girl.” The male who had been frozen with anger, suddenly spun around, shooting his hard, dagger like eyes in his direction. ”I loved her Dang-Woon! And you ripped her right out from under me, and killed her!” But Dang-Woons face remained quaint and sinister.

”You shouldn’t have fallen for a human Taec. That was your first fatal mistake. The second was going to me and thinking that I would keep it a secret. Now she’s dead. And I’ve come to finish the job.” But Taec knew this was the plan, and could detect Dang-Woons strategy. Little did the man know, but Taec had been studying his ancestry, and learned a whole lot of things that he never would’ve guessed in his family. Powers that he did not know he had and how to use them. He was more powerful than ever, and Dang-Woon would have to learn that the hard way. So when he lunged, he was a bit shocked to see Taec just standing there with a smirk on his face, waiting. When he came close enough, Taec switched his eyes to the ones that belonged to the dragon within him, and lifted Dang-Woon off the ground about ten feet, and when he lowered his eyes to the ground, he slammed down with a large thump and a groan. ”Where…? How did you… Do that?” Taec crouched down next to him and pat the man on the head sarcastically. ”My dear, hated Dang-Woon. There is so much that I know now because of you! In spite of the hatred and pain I felt, you made me discover the real power in my blood. So lets see Dang-Woon. Who really is going to learn the lesson tonight?”

Taecyeon stood then, and slammed the ground with his foot, sending a shockwave through the surface and sending Dang Woon with the ripples. Soon, however, he bellowed and stood, sending his own shockwave of energy Taecyeons way. It got to him too fast, however, and he couldn’t block it, so he was sent backwards, with the energy crushing against his chest. He could not breathe for a moment as he was picking himself up. Now, Taec could finish this now and get on with the grand finale, but he wanted to have a bit of fun before just ending it. That was the least he could do to Dang-Woon. All Taecyeon did was stand there and stare maliciously at the male, and he knew his skin was crawling, literally. He began to scratch and itch everywhere, frantically. ”So it’s all just… ah… tricks for you then? You can’t even… aish… fight like a man?” And the itching stopped. ”You want a real fight? Well you got one!” The male stepped forward, and with two large leaps, he threw a blow to his chest that send the other male flying backwards. But he didn’t stop there. He lunged forward, grasping on to the mans shirt while he was still in the air, and threw him again the wall of the club and growled, then spun him around and threw him into a line of metal thrash cans, with crates of glass bottle behind them. Dang Woon groaned, then chuckled hysterically. ”Call it karma?” He shook out chucks of glass from his hair, then stood and flashed over to Taec. ”My turn.”

Taec was thrown feet away, his back slamming into the concrete, making a small crater where he hit. He growled, then picked his self up just as quickly as he had fallen. It was time for him to end it, before he got injured. Taec walked brusquely over to Dang-Woon, blocking and dodging anything that he sent his way, then stopped just feet from the male. ”And this, Dang-Woon, is where I saw goodbye. Have a nice time in hell!” And suddenly, the male couched, looking uncomfortable. His eyes scrunched up into a confused glare, and he began to rub his chest. ’What…. What are you?-“ He cut himself off with an agonizing scream as he fell to the floor, clutching his face, and then his chest. ”TAECYEON STOP! OH MY GOD, TAECYEON ANYTHING BUT THIS!” His screams of agony only grew louder and Taecyeon continued to stare down at the male. He was burning the man from the inside out. His skin began to sizzle. And the screams faded into nothingness as the male laid motionless on the ground. Taecyeon, however, knew it was a trick, and continued to stare at the male until there was nothing left but ash. He then left the scene with a satisfied look in his eyes and a smirk that you could see across the world.

                                                                            ♛ ⋮ ◞ TIME SKIP!

The next day, Taecyeon awoke in the Super Junior mansion. It was a strange habitat for him, seeing as he was used to 2PM’s mansion, but still he made do, and even in the circumstances of staying. They would be meeting and interacting with fans for god knows how long, though he didn’t get why a whole bunch of idols had to meet in the SUJU mansion. Why couldn’t fans come and meet in their favorite bands Mansion? This was what he didn’t get and what he pondered as he sat up in bed and ran a hand through his growing hair that fell over his eyes effortlessly in small waves. His skin, though smooth like a baby and clean like a porcelain doll was tan and fell tightly against his tones muscles. While shirtless, he stood and ran a hand down his chest, collecting any sweat on his hand, then ran that against one of his used towels and sighed. There was quite possibly no time for a shower, but he needed one, so, gathering up his things, he made his way into the bathroom, where he shut and locked the door behind him, and stripped, careful not to slip on the already yet floor, and shoved his clothes into the laundry shoot where it was later to be done. After doing this, and fitting his ipod into the player that was already in there, where it began to play 2PM’s My Color He began the water with sharp precision on the temperature. One that was just hot enough to open his pores, but not enough to scorch his skin and ruin his new hair dye. When the temperature was right, Taecyeon hopped in and begun to shower his body all over.

                                                                            ♛ ⋮ ◞ TIME SKIP!

After finishing this, and lacing up his shoes, he stood and pulled his phone from the charger, weighing it in his hand, before composing a message to Chansung. Possibly his best friend aside from Wooyoung. Jaebeom used to be, but since he was discharged from the band, they haven’t spoken much.

                                                                            TO: CHANSUNGG-AGA

They led his near the indoor pool. This was not where he wanted to be, nor where any of the fans might’ve been. But still, he kind of wanted to just sit and relax, maybe chill outside for a bit. So, walking, he stuck his headphones in and the electronic device began to play Zico’s attention. It was as he was humming the beat, when he felt something run into him, or someone. ”Owww” The figure spoke, and Taecyeon watched as she bent down to pick something up. It was her phone. He would’ve bent down to help her as well, but she looked like she was capable of handling it, so he left her to it. “I’m really sorry, I wasn’t paying attention and—“ She freezed as her eyes made contact with him. He smiled crookidly at her, then ran a hand through his hair. He was pretty used to fans doing this to him. “I’m so sorry.” She gulped, “I uhm I erm didn’t see you there.” He nodded at her, seeing how embarrassed she became and smiled. ”Aneyo, it’s fine! Accidents happen!” And then a certain light entered her eyes, and a spark of courage ran through her. She actually looked into his eyes, and smiled directly at him. ”I’m Kim HaeSung,” She spoke, and he nodded at her, smiling, ”Pleasure to meet you.”

He took his headphones out and shoved his phone into his back pocket, then looked to her again. ”Pleasure to meet you too Hae Sung.” He spoke formally to her, not knowing how old she was yet. ”Yah, sonyeo, how old are you? Are you a chingu?” He asked her, a smile lifting his cheeks. Taecyeon looked to her again and cocked his head to the side. ”Have you been here for a while, or did you just arrive?” He clucked his tongue on the roof of his mouth then cocked his head back into a straight position. ’Oh. I just arrived yesterday night, while everyone was getting ready for bed. I had no idea I was supposed to be here until Changsungie-ssi messaged me about it. Apparantely I have fans. He laughed at this, then ran a hand across the top of his head, his fingers slightly digging into the soft substance.

Min Jun Seo was a very intellectual guy. He had the brains, the looks, and even the personality. Nothing about him was simple. Not even his eyes. While the same color as most Asians, but his eyes told stories. They were always intense, and they always seemed to judge, whether that's what he was trying to do or not. Maybe that's why most people found him intimidating. As Jun-Seo thought back to the first day at the slightly suspicious mansion filled with unfamiliar faces of many, man and women alike, he realized that he felt a bit out of place. Here's a place full of bright and cheerful faces, when really, who knows what kind of people were here. For all he knew- or that anyone knew, these people could be terrorists, or even cereal killers. Jun-Seo has a very realistic way of thinking. Instead of always looking on the bright side of things, he tends to weigh his options carefully before proceeding. It's what got him through high school and college at the top of his class. Clever thinking never seemed to hurt him. So, for the first couple of days, he kept his distance, and observed everyone from afar. One girl, Kam Sang Min seemed very standoff-ish and pushed most people away. He found this to be because she was insecure and had touching problems. If any stranger, or perhaps anyone whom she wasn't close to touched her, either by on accident, or on purpose, she would either run away, or blow up on them. Now, some people, like Eui Tae, they were a whole other story. He for example was very childish, and seeing no sign of a childhood scarring, he assumed it to be just the way he was raised. Hye Su, was another different case all together. He found that she had no childhood scars, nor was she insecure. She was just bright and cheerful. It was just her personality. He took a liking to her, as well as her usual company Eui Tae. There was a lot of people at the resort whom he found to have befriended. Some, more than others. Min Soo and he got along decently. They were both good looking men, smart men as well, with a career either with them or ahead of them. He was a cop, and for that Jun-Seo respected the male. He hadn't befriended a lot of females because quite honestly, it wasn't that he was afraid of them, he just didn't know what to do. He didn't know when to be charismatic and charming, or comforting and careful. Women confused him. It didn't matter much with men, and he understood them better, because he was one. Women on the other hand, we're sensitive, and should be treated with care. He just didn't know what kind of care, and when. He didn't know the signs of when a woman was interested or not, and ended up screwing some relationships in the past years up- and bad.

As the brown haired, muscular male began to get ready for the mansions night out on the town, he began to weigh the possible outcomes of the night. Since they were going to dinner, and then a club, no one would be going hungry, so lack of food or starvation was out of the question. But the club... He was hesitant to even leave the house. Not that he was a stickler and hated fun, he just had a gut feeling that something serious and it bad was going to happen either to him or to someone else that night. "Either way, it's going to end up badly..." He told himself as he adjusted his belt, fitting it into the rings around his waist. After the belt was on, he turned his torso towards his bed and grabbed the tank top that he was to wear. After doing so, he slid it on over his head and down his body before sliding his arms into the appropriate hole and sighing as if rested flat against his chest. It was a tighter fit, so it showed off his sharply sculpted pectorals, as well as defining his large biceps. The shoes that he wore on his feet were a simple pair of grey converse, with a solo star on the side. He slid then onto his rather large feet, and then laced them up and stood straight, inspecting his appearance in the mirror. His hair, though still a bit damp, fell straight on his head. All he really had to do was run his hands through it a bit to get the shape and texture that he wanted, and then did nothing more. Jun-Seo slid a watch onto his right wrist and buckled it up in the back, before turning it around do it faced the right direction. Upon looking down at it, he realized that he was late catching the limo. The distant yells of the drive confirmed this, so, after sliding his wallet into his back pocket, he headed down the hall, and out the main lobby doors. His feet skid to a stop as he scanned the cool night sky. It was a clear sky, and the wind blew slightly. All in all, the weather was pretty decent for the night. Not knowing exactly where the limo was parked, Jun-Seo followed a rather dressed up crowd of people. They led him the right way, and one by one, they each slid into the limo, him being last, he squeezed himself between two fellow vacationers, and remained quiet to and from the five star restaurant that they were sent to just before the club. As the car door opened, the people flooded out. He was among them. All throughout the walk to the side of the building, they got dirty looks from the grimy, angry, frustrated waiters in line. Comments such as: “Why do they get automatic access to the place? Most of them are too trashy.” And “Now, if I looked like them, I’d be automatic access for me too!” Petty, jealous fools- if only they really knew why they were all getting in for free. Most of them would be raging by then.

He looked proudly to the bouncer as he handed him his VIP guest pass, which the large male looked over, and with a satisfied grunt, he was granted passage through the red velvet rope that kept the awaiting clubbers at bay. As he came across a dimly lit hallway, lined with beautiful women in uniforms, he hadn’t really figured what he’d be getting himself into. Were they crowding control for the rowdy? Or were they set there to excite? Either way, he felt very intimidated as their eyes scanned his body all over. Was it a bad idea to wear a muscle shirt to a place such as this? No matter, he was here, and it was too late to turn back. He would use this for further reference, however. As he gently brushed a hand through his hair, two women stepped forward, twirling their hands in unison, and then bowed to him. He felt respected, but that soon faded once they came back up. One licked her lips, while staring at his crotch. Once he realized what he was staring at, he tensed, and then quickly hurried down the rest of the hall, before briskly gaining his cool. The club was full of sweaty, drunk, underage- and certainly underdressed- individuals. The music was loud enough to make a normal human deaf, and was most definitely going to have an after effect on almost everyone from the mansion, he knew this for certain. Their heads would throb, and from dancing, their limbs would be sore. Also, for those who drank, their hangovers would be that much worse. He hoped not to let himself feel the wrath of this outrageous night, but then again, with enough drinks in his system, maybe he wouldn’t care. As he made his way to the bar, he noticed several folks from the mansion sitting there as well. Jun-Seo found himself a stool far enough away from there so that they wouldn’t notice him. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be noticed, he just didn’t want to talk to anybody until he calmed down a bit. As the bartender caught sight of him, he reared himself up a bit and placed his hands on the bar. ”What can I get for you?” He pondered this before tapping his fingers against the cool surface of the marble beneath them. ”Can I get something light please?” The male nodded, then began to wipe out the inside of a martini glass with a wet rag. ”How about a lemon celebration?” Seeing as Jun-Seo knew the contents of this drink, he nodded with a satisfied sigh. The high-toned male watched curiously as the employee began to mix contents into a metal bottle, then added ice, and shook. After which, he poured it into the martini glass, and slid it to the waiting male. He smiled, before grabbing the glass and taking a sip. It was sweet, and it was definitely lemon. He set it down and tapped his fingers against the surface again, just passing the time. As he turned his head to glance around him, he noticed a female staring at him, with obvious intention in her eyes. Jun-Seo awkwardly smirked at her and turned his head away, making it obvious that he wasn’t interested. As if things couldn’t get any worse, she stepped off of her stool, and placed herself down next to him. She said nothing, but instead stared at him.

”Hey mister,” Somebody called from behind him. He turned quickly, startled, and was faced by two men. Both seemed decently wealthy, with women clinging to both sides of them. ”my lady over here seems a bit lonely. Why don’t you keep her company?” Jun-Seo had an idea on what was going on. This lady was a hooker, looking for a bit of money and in return, a show. The males before him were her employers, meaning they had to be gangsters. He had only seen this kind of thing on T.V. He hadn’t expecting this kind of thing to happen in real life, let alone to him. As they awaited his answer, Jun-Seo turned to them and sighed, then contorted his face in the most obvious way possible then looked them up and down. ”Not interested, sorry,” And as he turned to take another sip of his drink, he was grabbed by the collar. ”Well, you’d better get interested, because we don’t take turn downs very well.” He couldn’t believe what was going on, so, in order to keep his cool, and not rudely laugh in the faces of these powerful males, be brought a fist up to his mouth to contain himself. ”You’ve got to be joking, right? You think I’d give in just because you threaten me? Come on, give me more faith. I’m smarter than that.” But his words only seemed to piss them off further. He knew this because the one gripping his collar had brought his fist down straight on his jaw. It hurt, yes, but one thing that he’d learned over his years was not to show weakness. Instead, Jun-Seo rubbed the tender area with a smile. After which, he smiled and laughed, mumbling to himself about what had just happened. As the other was about to punch him as well, the bartender stepped in with a fierce yell. ”HEY!” He heard this and turned to look at the male. ”Break it up already, before I call security.” The males instantly let him go, and motioned for the girl that had been pestering him to follow. Once they were out of hearing range, Jun-Seo turned himself around on the stool to face the bar once more. ”Geugeos-eun bam-e daehan michyeoss-eo sijaghaessseubnida.” He told himself and sighed. The bartender clanged him over before handing him and ice pack. ”Here, put this on the hit so it doesn’t swell.” The male didn’t refuse and pressed it to his jaw, flinching a bit at how tender it really was. He was just lucky that nothing was cracked or broken. He nodded in thanks to the employee before shaking his head and mumbling to himself. ” Michyeoss-eul, michyeoss.” With the last word fading a bit, Jun-Seo turned to investigate the place, hoping that no one had seen the fight, or if they had, they didn’t recognize him. The last thing he needed was people thinking that he had gotten into a fight for attention. That certainly wasn’t the case.

Jae Mal Hyun was not born with this name. He was given an embarrassing Indonesian name. Jawa Malik Gabir. His middle name was Arabic. He was born in the small village of Banjarmasin, on an island named Jaja. The population in his village was about six hundred thousand. It may not sound so small, but the biggest village was about two million, take or give one hundred thousand. Compared to this, yes, they were a very small village. His family was also very poor, and when Jae turned seven, he ended up going to work in a cotton field, getting the equivalent of twelve cents a week. Meanwhile, his mom worked in a sweat shop, and his dad, at a very demanding coffee shop. Whatever scraps were left on the floor there was what they had to drink the next morning. His job, however, was the most paying. After the shop burned down, however, they were pretty much out of money. His mom even had to get a second job, and he rarely saw her. Mal's dad couldn't take it anymore, and decided to take what was left of their money and open up a new coffee shop. Things were rough at first because they had little money, but as business started to slowly pick up, and the shops popularity grew, they were slowly making a good living for themselves.

Then, his mothers step sister died, leaving no one to take care of her four year old daughter. Jae's mother, feeling bad, demanded them all to move to Seoul, South Korean to look after the girl. Devastated, but unable to fight with her, his father shut down his shop, and together, they moved. It was a rough couple of months, what with having to sympathize the young girl who would never see her parents ever again and starting out at a completely new school. He got looks because of his behavior and how tan he was. In Korea, or really, any Asian country, if you were tan, that meant that you were probably poor and had to work in the fields for a living. While that was true for him, he began to feel very self conscious about himself. When they were starting to run out of money again, his father decided it would be best to find himself a job, but when nothing was as satisfying at brewing coffee for a living, he decided to give that a go one more time. They instantly became the number one visited coffee shop in that neighborhood, and their neighboring competitors were fast losing business.

He was in high school then, and he had just suffered a heart ache. His longest relationship had just ended because she was transferring to some rich and famous school, where she would fit in much better. She was too good for this school, and apparently for him, which was why she just had to dump him instead of giving him some time. Little did he know that the same school he transferred to, he would be very shortly as well. A couple of years later, after his fathers business had packed in millions, he decided it would be a good time to find a better school. The peers that he went to school with had began acting weird, asking for money, buying him things. Even the women, who hadn't given a s**t about him before began to give him looks. Some even ran to him during basketball games and gave him kisses on the cheeks. He supposed that he liked the new found popularity, but none of it was real. He could tell just by timing. So, he applied for St. Miator, not exactly knowing what he'd be getting into by doing so. He was shocked when a letter in the mail told him he had been accepted. He didn't live very far, so he was allowed to stay at his house, which he was glad for. If he hadn't been able to, he would've been scared that the school would change him. At least at home, he could act his usual, and spend time with his family, and his dog Mika.

He had transferred in halfway through the end of the semester, but he was lucky enough to be able to catch up quickly. While there, however, many things were similar and different from a normal high school. For one, the gossip was ten times more frequent, and fourteen times harder to time from. Luckily, he had shaded himself enough not to be in the light, and he was rarely called upon by ridicule, if there was any about him. It was probably because he was pretty much squeaky clean. The differences however, was the way everyone acted. They all acted friendly, or at least most did. There were school jocks, school preps, and even those in school who just shaded themselves from the limelight and did whatever they wanted. He, however, did not exactly know where he fit in. Maybe he didn't fit in, but at least he had good friends like Jacqui and Emiko to keep him company.

                                                                ♔ ◞ PRESENT DAY

Jae Mal Hyun sighed as he turned in bed, his eyes now wide open. He hadn't been sleeping for a while now, just thinking. He thought about the days in Indonesia when his bed was a sack of wood chips on the floor, and he looked where he was now; laying in a satin covered memory foam bed with a large balcony to his right and the sound of the waves crashing in against the beach pouring in. Things had changed drastically these days, and while Mal was grateful for the changes, he still wasn't quite accustomed to them. For instance, he had room service, and for breakfast this morning, they brought up old-fashioned corned beef hash that came topped with a piquant Pommery mustard cream sauce. It was good, but never in his life had he had something so expensive. As he sat up, staring at it, he didn't know where to start. The way that they had laid it out made it look more like a work of art than anything. Eventually, after idiotically staring at it for more than ten minutes, he realized that it had been getting cold, so he dug it, not caring that after he was finished, it had looked like a bomb had went off.

He had finished, and was full, but he was still in his pajamas. He realized that this was wrong because he would be meeting up with Xiao Zhou today by the beach, and he really didn't want to make a bad impression by being late. The girl seemed nice, and the last thing he wanted to do was make that pretty face of hers sad or angry in any way. Yeah, you could say that he was foolish for liking her without actually knowing anything about her, but he was pretty positive that she was a good person. He was far from close to her like he was with Jacqui and Emiko, but he was still pretty excited with their meet up, and nervous, though he was always nervous. He knew nothing about her, and she knew the same about him. He knew for sure that at first, he'd be shy, and he wasn't exactly sure how she'd take that. Of course, he'd try and make himself as sociable as possible, but he was also very self conscious, so he'll be very anxious to see what she thinks of him. Another thing about him is that he doesn't usually share his emotions very well, so he wouldn't exactly show that he was crushing on her. Sure, he'd be kind, and sure, he'd smile at her, but he'd also only try to befriend her, and he probably wouldn't do much more.

The male casually looked through his closet. It wasn't a formal event, just going out with a friend to the beach, but it also wasn't something to look terrible doing, so, with the best of his matching abilities, he picked a simple Tee shirt that was a color between red, pink, and orange. It had a white pig with wings on the front with small print underneath of it that said "MADE IN THE USA" and below that, the letters "G L M R K L L S" were clearly printed in big printing. As he set this aside, he grabbed a pair of holy faded denim jeans and set them down next to the previous shirt. They would be a bit baggy on him, but that's the way he wanted it. Mal hated skinny jeans, and quite frankly, he didn't know how they were even comfortable. If you can't sit bending your knees, then the pants were too tight. Upon thinking this, Mal then bent down to grab the laces of a pair of gray converse shoes that he had previously grabbed while exiting the closet. Standing straight once more, he sauntered to the bathroom and shut the door behind him, and then switched on the light. Mal took a hand and brought it through his hair, and then turned to face the shower. Mal twisted the handle, and waited for it to heat up. Once he saw steam fogging the glass, he then turned it until he was positive it was still hot, but it wouldn't burn his skin. After this, he stripped and stepped in.

After the shower, Mal grabbed the towel that rested on a rack beside the shower and ran it through his hair first, and then dried his arms, legs, and chest, before wrapping the cloth around his waist, before stepping out of the hot, sauna like bathroom, and reached for his clothes. Before putting them on however, he first grabbed a pair of boxers and slid them on, letting the towel drop to the floor. He made sure his chest was completely dry before sliding on his shirt over his body, and reached around to grab his pants. He made sure that his phone was in his back pocket, seeing it a priority to have today. Plus, he needed to keep in touch with Jacqi. It was almost a necessity of his. As he made sure it had a full battery, he then bent forward and slid, then laced his shoes on. After doing this, he found his way into the bathroom once again to add last minute touches. Upon looking himself in the mirror, Mal began to run his hands through his hair. Since it was soft, it was easy to maneuver around without having to put any gel into his hair. He really hated the way his hair felt after using hair gel. So grimy and dirty, and plus it was kind of hard to get out. So, after this hair was the way he wanted, and his beanie was on over his hair, he slipped on a random ring over his pointer finger, and added some bracelets that his little cousin had made.

Mal smiled thinking about these sentimental gifts and then reached for his room key and sunglasses, which he didn't put on his face, and instead let them rest against his shirt collar. He opened his door and poked his head outside once, checking to see if anyone was in the hallway. After this, he stepped out, shutting the door behind him. He looked around as he walked, and as he did so, he tapped his fingers against his thighs. As he turned the corner, he realized that he hadn't talked to Jacquline in a while and sighed. Ever since they had first met in Indonesia, they'd been close. Her family was on a sort of business related vacation there, and decided to try Mal's family coffee. He had been working there that day because one of their employees was out sick and Mal-Hyun had offered his assistance. His dad, though a bit reluctant, agreed to let him wait tables. Mal had waited her families table, and since then, a really close bond.

Mal reached into his pocket to retrieve his phone, and when it slid easily into his palm, he smiled. Mal then realized that he didn't know what he wanted to say. He was easily caught in situations like this, because he didn't want to sound stupid. As he thought, he continued to walk. Mal tapped the screen of his phone, lost in thought. He hadn't even noticed that he passed by several elevators he could use to get down to the lobby, where he was supposed to meet Xiao Zhou, and would end up taking the stairs. When Mal finally decided to just go with a simple question for her, Mal had turned the corner, and found the door that led to the back steps.

                                                                to: jacqi
                                                                from: mal
msg: hey, what are you doing today? :3

Mal clicked send, before beginning to make his decent down the steps. He hadn't realized that he was on the fifth floor, otherwise he would've gone back around to look for the elevators once more, and ended up walking down several hundred steps. "Ah, really?" He shook his head, before picking up the pace a bit, not wanting to seem like he was taking his time. Once at ground level, however, he felt his back pocket vibrate, took it out and noticed that Jacqi had messaged him back. Almost instinctively, he smiled and began to reply, still standing in the stairwell.

                                                                to: jacqi
                                                                from: mal
msg: oh really? bring me back a doggie bag! and about the bonfire... i was planning on going. i have no other plans for tonight, but who knows? things could change. just count on me being there though.

When it sent, Mal pushed open the steel door and looked around the lobby. Xiao Zhou didn't seem to be there yet, and for that he was thankful. He could set his nerves straight before she would even get there, or perhaps his nerves would get worse. Either way, he was still tense and anxious, and he felt that he would be until this meeting was over, or at least until he got to know her better. You really couldn't get to know someone during the first meet, and he really wasn't sure how this was going to go, or if there even was going to be a second time. He could make a completely bad impression on her and then end up having her not interested, or appalled, though he didn't really see why she would be. If anything, maybe she'd think he was too shy for her. All of these thoughts ran through his head as he took a seat in one of the waiting chairs in the lobby, and carelessly drummed his fingers against his thighs.

Eui Tae had awoken that day not sure exactly what he was getting into, and if he had, he probably would’ve stayed in bed. His day included a nice walk on the beach in the morning, some workout time in the evening, followed by a lonesome dinner, and then he went to karaoke, where he met up with a few friends. One of them, however, he went home with. Now, don’t get the wrong idea. They didn’t have sex, at least he doesn’t think they did, but he was drunk, so he wasn’t exactly positive. All he knows is that they both woke up clothed. He assumed that they had just passed out on her bed. Like stated earlier, he was pretty drunk, and he couldn’t remember much. He was freaked out when he woke up in the morning, though, and so was she. This is getting to ahead, so let’s just start from the beginning of the crazy second day of the trip to Jeju Island.

It started with him waking up that morning. It was around nine a.m and he was awoken by a loud, echoing knock at the door. Not being used to waking up by this sound, the male groaned and craned his neck over the bed, checking the time. When he read it, he groaned louder and shoved his head under the pillow he had been previously laying on. The knock didn’t disappear, and it only grew louder. Fed up, Eui Tae threw his pillow to the side and sat up slowly, glaring with his eyes half open. As he stood, he ran a hand through his messy bed-headed hair and attempted to flatten most of it down before reaching the door. As he looked through the peephole, he could see the top of two heads, and a cart with a covered plate. Confused, he slowly opened the door and peeked out. One of the people standing before him was a woman. She took one look at him and instantly blushed. She wasn’t looking at his face, but at his chest. Curious, he looked down and noticed that he had forgotten to put on a s**t before answering the door. He blushed as well as the female, and cleared his throat. ”Can I help you two?” Slowly, the woman lifted her eyes from his chest, and looked to his face, though obviously embarrassed as to having been caught looking by himself and her co-worker. She seemed flustered, and her voice was a bit squeaky as she spoke. It made Eui Tae grin. So, his body made women speechless? ”Ah, your breakfast, Mr. San.” He hated that she had called him that. That was what everyone called his father, and he vowed never to be anything like his father. Still, he shrugged it off and allowed the two of them inside.

The woman blushed and nodded, before checking his chest once more and let herself in as she led the cart. Meanwhile, he shut the door behind them, and went into his room to grab a shirt. He caught the woman watching as he slid on his shirt, and he shook his head. Once he was dressed, he brushed his hair down and then made his way into the living room where they had left his meal. He had ordered it last night, and was craving it since then. It was a chocolate glazed fruit filled crepe with a side of sausage and eggs. While he was eating, he was pondering what he was going to do with himself today. He had made no plans with anyone, and he really didn’t want to at the moment. Maybe a little walk on the beach? It was a nice enough day, after all. When he finished, he stripped, showered, and clothed himself once more in fresher clothes and then styles his hair rather wispy in the front, and flat in the back. After this, he grabbed his phone, his watch, and his sun glasses. He put his watch and his glasses on, and slid his phone into his back pocket, and then made his way out the door, not exactly sure where at the beach he was going, so he figured that he would just wing it.

A LITTLE LATER IN THE DAY

It was well past nine p.m and he knew that because it was dark, people would be going to the bonfire. He, however, had other plans, and was getting ready to go to karaoke. He hadn’t been before, and he figured that it would be more interesting that sitting, standing, or walking near a big fire on the beach, with nothing specific enough to do, so, he would be going to karaoke instead. As he laced up his black converse, his eyes lifted and checked the alarm clock on the side of the bed. There was so set time to meet anyone there, but he didn’t want to show up too terribly late and have the party already started, so he was planning on leaving soon. The last thing he needed was his cover up, and as he slipped it on, he grabbed his phone, his wallet, and his watch, and then made his way out the door.

When he arrived, he noticed several familiar faces; those faces belonged to some fellow students of his from St. Miator, though none of them was anyone that he was necessarily close to, so he spent most of his night at the bar. He had sung several songs, but none of them were really his strong point. He was shamed back to the bar later on, where he met a familiar, beautiful face. Chyna. She seemed distressed, however, and unlike herself. Sad, lonely, really, so he decided to start up a conversation with her. He never asked her what was wrong, however, because he didn’t want to hit any sort of nerve, and soon, they ended up playing a drinking game. She got drunk way before him, and it was pretty funny to watch her slur her words and giggle hysterically. It made him grin from ear to ear. Soon, however, he had gotten drunk, and was pretty much acting the same way. He was pretty sure that they had both stopped drinking when their words were too hard to understand. Eventually, they decided to go to her place, to do god knows what, but whatever it was, it didn’t get done.

They stumbled through the halls, yelling at the top of their lungs at times. Her arm was around his waist, and his was draped across her shoulders. It made it worse for them to stay straight, because one of them wanted to go one way, and the other wanted to go the opposite way, so they ended up pulling each other every which way. He doesn’t know how they got to her room in one piece, because he was pretty sure that they had fallen several times on their way there, but they did. He let go of her so she could sloppily try and slid her card to unlock the door. It took her several tries, but she did it, and then the door opened. He wasn’t exactly sure what they had been planning on doing in her room, but most of it was pretty hazy. Up until he lay down on her bed. He knew that he had fallen asleep then, and that’s where he stayed for the night. They ended up moving around a bit, and into a cuddling position, but he was passed out for it, and he had no idea how that had happened.

                                                            THE NEXT MORNING

He didn’t know what time it was when he finally opened his sore eyes to an unfamiliar room, but he knew it was late morning, or early afternoon, because the sun was high in the sky. He had no idea how he had gotten there, or where exactly he was, but he knew that he was with Chyna. Why they were cuddling, he didn’t know. All he knew was that when he woke up, she was laying with her head on his chest, lying on his extended arm. His other was holding her clenched hand. Startled by this, he shot sideways, falling to the floor, back down. He groaned, before sitting up and shaking his throbbing head. ”What-“ He let out a groan and shook his head again, then clapsed his forehead and closed his eyes, muttering under his breath ”Aishhhh…”

After his first freak out, Eui Tae stood and clasped both of his hands behind his head and began to pace. After doing this for a while, and trying to come up with a reasonable explanation to what had gone on, he turned to her and looked her up and down. With a look of guilt, doubt and confusion, Eui Tae opened his mouth. ”We didn’t… We couldn’t of… Did we?” He was asking the both of them really, because he had no idea himself. He was really hoping that she wasn’t as hung over as him, and that she remembered some of what went on last night. All of it was a blur to him, really. He looked away from her and began to pace again, nervous, embarrassed, and scared really. What if they did? Then what? Where would that leave them? Two individuals who will forever be awkward around each other because of what might’ve happened? That didn’t sound good to him. He turned to her again with a hopeful expression which soon faded. ”We couldn’t have. We have clothes on.” But he knew that didn’t matter. They could’ve put their clothes back on afterwards, so that was no help. He shook his head again and frustratedly messed up his hair in an attempt to relieve some of the stress that was in his body. It didn’t work.

He knew that he was pretty much mumbling now, and he was getting dizzy, so he sat down with a confused frown and ran a hand over his hair to pat it down. It didn’t really help, because it was still sticking up crazily. It was no use trying to fix it, or trying to piece together the contents of last night, so he just gave up and slouched back into the chair, putting his hands on his forehead and closing his eyes, groaning as he did so. ”I am so confused… Aish… My head hurts so badly right now.” He hated complaining, but with a hangover this bad, it was kind of hard not to. He figured that he had a lot of alcohol in his system last night, and that was why he even agreed to this in the first place. I mean, don’t get him wrong, Ahn Ri was a beautiful, unique girl, but he didn’t know her enough to even remotely pull something like this. Sober, that is. It always amazing him what he was willing to do, but to this extent, he never would’ve guessed. Where had he been before this? Why had he gotten so drunk, and why with Chyna? He figured that she didn’t know him very well either, and even though she was a flirty person, he didn’t think that she was the type of her person to get a man drunk just to sleep with him.

With a last attempt to try and figure out what the hell went on, he removed his hands from his face and sat up straight to look at her. She seemed disheveled, and lord knows what he looked like at the moment. A hot mess no doubt. He squinted at her, as if that would help with his memory, and when nothing came, he sighed and let his head fall backwards again. He stared at the ceiling for a while before rubbing his temples a bit and shifting in his seat. ”Aish…” He said after a while, though he made no effort to move from the position in which he was in. He was to stressed and confused to do so. All he could do was sit there and consider the multiple possibilities, while the truth lay just out of his hangover reach. Frustrated, Eui Tae dropped forward and dropped his head in his hands before stifling another sigh. ”What the hell did we do?”

Gwang Jung-Keun had been having a rough couple of days. He didn’t know what was wrong with him all of a sudden, but out of nowhere, his body was forcing him to feed more. He would have these uncontrollable urges, and when he fought them, this fire-like pain would shoot through his body, and wouldn’t cease until he got human blood inside of his blood stream. Lucky for him, however, that he was able to trick his body into thinking that he had taking a large amount at one time. So, as he was resisting his urge in a local bar that night, the fire like pain surged through his body once more, and he clutched his chest, his breathing turning heavy. A woman came up beside him then and stared at him curiously. ”Sir, are you okay?” Slowly, whilst closing his eyes, he turned to the female, and she gasped, then realizing who he was. ”OMO.. J-jung.. Keun? What are you doing here?” She was about to ask another round of questions before he put a finger to her lips, shushing her. Still in agony, his hand slid down from her face, to her shoulder, where it then slid down her arm, and clasped her wrist tightly. As long as he could touch her, he was able to will her into doing his bidding. ”Follow me,” Was all he said before sliding off of his stool, gently guiding the female to one of the back rooms of the club. She didn’t ask any questions until he shut the door behind the two of them and let her wrist go.

He began pacing then, with one hand on his hip, and another covering his mouth. He was thinking. Did he really want to go through with this? Did he really want to take from this woman? Couldn’t he wait and grab some from a homeless man on the way home? Meanwhile, the woman had slid out of her jacket, and was sitting before him on the sofa, with her neck exposed, in a strapless minidress. ”Are you okay? You look tense. Come sit down. Let me give you a massage.” By now, he had stopped pacing, and was staring at her neck. One little vein stuck out from all the rest. It beckoned to him, and without notice, he had begun to move forward, mesmerized. Once he sat down beside the woman, she began working her hands on his shoulders, kneading and rubbing. As he sat there however, with her this close to him, he couldn’t help but let out a groan. She stifled a chuckle before working her hands harder. His head had gone back against the back of the couch, and he had shut his eyes. ”Does it feel that good, oppa?” He let her massage him a bit more before the burning sensation in his neck was too much, and he snapped his head back. His eyes were a dark black, and when he stared at her with those eyes, she was scared, but before she could do anything, he placed a hand on the back of her neck and brought her face close to his. He breathed in her scent.

”Oppa, what’re-“ He cut her off then by pressing his lips against hers in a fierce attempt to heal his burning by that alone. It wasn’t working as far as he could tell, so he kissed her deeper, placing his free arm around her waist. She tilted her head backwards, breaking the kiss, but that didn’t stop him from kissing along her jawline, and down towards her neck, where her scent was so strong. She seemed to like his lips just lingering over her skin, because she moaned then and wrapped her arms around his neck. His animalistic side was screaming at him to bite her and drain her, but his humane side told him to just let her go and run far away. The animalistic side won then, and he pressed his lips against her neck, at first kissing it, but then his lips curled back, and he pressed his canines harder against her skin. A small line of scarlet dripped from both wounds, and the liquid began to seep into his mouth. He still had time to go back to his humane side. The blood rested in his mouth. He hadn’t yet swallowed, but as the burning increased, he growled and gave in, allowing the liquid to seeps down his throat. A moan of ecstasy sounded from his mouth, and he closed his eyes. The woman had moved her hands to his head and was cradling it, pushing it harder against her neck.

They were moving backwards then, by her will, and he was now laying on top of her, with an arm still wrapped around her, and the other clutching her arm. He pulled back after she became a bit slower in her moans and the way she moved, and he then stared down at her. She made no movement, but she was pale, and she looked incredibly tired. ”I believe I’ve taken too much. Here,” He lifted his arm from hers and brought it to his lips, biting down. Wincing, he brought it down against her lips. Hesitantly she began to drink. It wasn’t long before he had to take his arm away, because he didn’t want her to start changing. Already, however, he noticed that her color was returning, but she still looked very sleepy, and he knew that the warm, thick vampire blood that she had just fed her wouldn’t help, so he willed her to fall asleep. He felt to restraint, and she fell asleep rather soundly on that couch. This sleep would also wipe her memory of what happened that night. He may be a monster, but allowing a feeble human to suffer those memories was flat out cruel. He was not cruel. He stood then, wiping his mouth, before closing his eyes and sighing. He normally had more self-control than this, but he didn’t know what was wrong with his body. He would need to ask either Ji Sang or Joon Sup what was going on with his body. They would know.

                                    TWO NIGHTS LATER

It was a dark night, even just after sun down, and he could hear the cries of the crickets nearby as he ran through the forest. He was still out from a couple of days ago, when he nearly killed that woman from the bar. He tended to hide himself away from the others after a meal, and he did this a lot, so he was sure that they knew about it. It didn't take very much to assume what he had been doing. He was a vampire, he had his cravings, but they would find it a bit weird that he of all people fed recently. He was the one of the group who was able to control his cravings, and he was still attached to his humanity, more of less. Most of the time, he didn't show it, because he didn't want to show weakness, but that was what made him sensitive; his humanity; the one thing still pinning him down to the human world. As Jeongsin ran through the forest, he thought about those eyes. The piercing red eyes. The only thing he remembered about being changed. They say that the eye color of your maker is the same color as your eyes when your hunting, but he had never actually seen himself while hunting, so he didn't know if it was true or not, and as far as he was concerned, it could be. He hoped it wasn't, because those eyes haunted him where ever he went, and he would hate to have to bring that on anyone else.

As he entered the house, the scent of human filled his nose, making him shutter. As he kicked off his shoes, the male ran a hand through his hair before appearing before the others in an elegant matter as the CEO of the record label began to speak. ”Now, I know all three of you are wondering why it is that I’ve paid you a visit…” Jeongsin kept quiet and nodded, allowing the male to finish his statement. He honestly had no idea where he was going. ”Some have been waiting longer than others.” Jeongsin's eyes found their way to Wol, who had been there even before him. He smirked and turned back to the feeble male. ”A lot of people from the record label have been discussing this for a very long time and we’ve all agreed that this will benefit you greatly… We’re sending you to a performing arts school.” This was a twist that Jung-Keun hadn't been expecting, so he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned himself against the side of the doorway, pondering this. His eyes slowly crawled to Wol as he asked a question, and the male smiled. He was also thinking something like that, but the next words that the human spoke dejected any kind of show, or perhaps a movie of sorts. ”Ani. You will actually be attending the school. This way, you will all be able to broaden your horizons’. Joon Su, you’ll brush up on your dancing and your vocals. Jung-Keun, you’ll be working on your dancing as well, and your vocals, if possible. Ji Sang, you’ll work on your vocals and your dancing, again, if its possible to get any better… This school has many, many talented teachers, as well as students. I’m sure that during the one year that you’ll be attending, you’ll perfect all of your flaws and become the most perfect band there is. That’s our goal.” When the male spoke about Jun-Keun, he nodded his head.

"Ye, I'll try." He turned to the others then with a grim, lifeless expression on his face. The male was actually quite worried about this, because as he knew, the others would definitely reek havoc, and with his new found urges kicking up, it was probable that he would as well, and that scared him. Wol's smirk scared him even more, and without another word, Jung-Seung left the room, feeling dizzy. He wanted to lay down for a bit and maybe get his mind off of what would go down tomorrow, because using his powers, he could tell, in the near future, that there would be a blood bath. Dark, glowing red eyes popped out of the darkness in the vision, and Jung-Keun swallowed hard before shutting his eyes and laying himself down on his bed, with his hands behind his head.

                                    THE NEXT MORNING

Jung-Keun rose from his bed at about six and hadn’t gotten any sleep. He was too stressed about the different outcomes of the road ahead. It was too much for him to sleep on, and ended up thinking all night. The others hadn’t gotten much sleep either, but sleeping wasn’t necessary for them since they fed frequently. It was much more mandatory for him, though not recently. As he checked himself in the mirror, he noticed that he still looked deathly beautiful. The blood from a few nights before must’ve still been working on his appearance, and for that he was grateful. After all, looks mattered for him, and he hated to look ghastly. He maintained his bodily health. As he stood, he dressed quickly, and brushed his hair forward, into a decent position, before running a thumb over his bottom lip, making sure his canines were short and humanly. He pondered whether or not to go out and grab a small snack, but thought otherwise, and assumed that he’d be okay. It was as he was brushing off his shoulders that he noticed Wol walking around, looking smug. Jung-Keung tilted his head to the side, assuming that he must’ve gotten a meal in before he had woken up. It wasn’t unlike him, so he just shrugged and continued to add small finishing touches to his outfit.

It was time to go then, so the three of them took off together towards the school. It didn't take them long to get their with their inhuman speed, and in fact, it took them next to nothing at all. Merely seconds, really. They had stopped in the middle of the main lobby of the room school, so he was surprised to see no one staring at them. They had been standing there like that for a while, watching the bustling students with elegant, upholding eyes, when Wol spoke. Jung-Keun slowly turned his eyes to him and smirked. "What's so confusing, Wol?" He asked, then turned his eyes just as a young student stopped in front of them and doubled over. She was panting so bad, she could've been finishing up a marathon. When she looked up, however, she did the strangest thing. She stared at them with wide eyes and took several steps backwards, and then gulped a bit of air into her mouth, then shut her eyes, as if thinking that she was just imagining them. But when she opened her eyes again, they were still there. Jung-Keun tilted his head to the side and scrunched his eyebrows together. She introduced herself then, and he nodded. "A pleasure to meet you, Chae Rin." He stopped there and smiled slowly at her and then heard her next question.

He shifted, not sure what to say. He'd let another member answer that question. She looked at their clothing then, and then back up to them. Surprised once again, she began to mumble a bit, then asking if they were actually attending the school. He nodded and smiled a bit before placing a hand on the shoulder of Jisang, before hearing her stumbling out an apology for something that he wasn't sure about. He tilted his head to the side once more. She turned to walk away, and he found himself clearing his throat. "Chae Rin, no boundaries were crossed." He was not about to ask her to come back, because really, she probably had to get to class, and so did they, after getting their schedules and such, but they still had places to be none the less.

Oh Han Ni woke up that morning in an empty bed, when she had just shared it when her boyfriend the night before. Startled, she ran a hand over his side before sitting up and wrapping the sheet from before over her body. While yes, she was fully clothed in a pair of shorts and a tank top, it was also very cold in her apartment. Why wasn't she with her parents when she was only in her early twenties? Well, for one thing, Han Ni has always been independent when it came to finances, cleaning, decorating, etc., so she really didn't need them, per-say, and when she was old enough, she bought a small apartment by her art school. It was an easy commute, plus, her boyfriend lived in the same apartment complex as her, so they were always close, but it was odd that he would just leave before waking her to tell her goodbye. "Geu wae geulaess-eoyo?" She asked this theoretically, because she knew that she would be getting no response, at least not any time soon. Shortly later, however, when she was fully awake, dressed and she had showered, she made her way to his room. He wasn't there of course, but he left her a note stating that if she did come over, he would be back later, and that she should just wait for him in her room. He'd come over at 6ish, and that they needed to talk.

So, she waited, and when six thirty came and went, she was about to lock up, when she heard a faint couple of knocks at the front door. She hopped up immediately and ran to the door. There on the other end was her boyfriend, Dae Hyun. Han Ni cocked her head to the side as he lifted his, revealing that he had been crying. His eyes were red, and she knew the way he clenched his jaw to hold them back. She was worried for him, so she quickly brushed him in. When he was fully inside, she shut the door behind him and turned. "Namja, gwaenchanh-ayo?" She asked this with concern, before stepping forward and putting a hand on his shoulder. He turned quickly around and put his hands firmly on hers and leaned his head closer to hers; his eyes were intense. "Han Ni-ah, dangsin-eun naega neol salang gwonhan-eul al-a?" She nodded a couple of times before biting her lip and pressing a confused look into her eyes. "Ne, hajiman-" He cut her off by pressing his lips against hers. Han Ni pulled back a while later, because it was itching at her not to know what he wanted to say. "Can you just tell me what we need to talk about?" She spoke this in perfect English, knowing that this was fluent for the both of them. He sighed, nodded and took a few steps back, before bringing a hand up to her cheek and caressed it. Dangsin-eul salanghajiman..." These words burned in her ears. Where was he going with this? She was afraid. Afraid of what she was going to hear next.

"Oppa," She started, but when he lifted his eyes to hers, she shut her mouth and let him finish, or try to. "Geuleona..." Her eyes were tearing up at that moment and her brows were furrowed. "Dae Hyun, where... Where are you going with this?" She could tell that he was getting frustrated by her constant interrupting, but this was her way of stalling the inevitable, just to be with him for a little longer, before he was out of her life forever. "Han Ni, just let me finish, okay?" She nodded, bringing a hand to her lips, feeling them quiver. "I love you, Han Ni, I really do. You have to believe me about that. You have to believe that I'm not doing this to hurt you. I'm doing this to protect you, okay?" He started there and rubbed his thumb just below her eye. She couldn't trust her voice enough to speak, so she simply nodded. ”Han Ni, please look at me.” She didn’t even realize that she had been staring down at her feet, so she brought her eyes up to his face. He was tearing up at well, which made her feel just a bit better, knowing that this wasn’t easy for him, and that he really did love her. ”Dangsin-eun mueos-eul uimihabnikka, oppa?” He sighed and closed his eyes, his jaw clenching just like before. ”My dad, he… He’s very sick, Han Ni, and now it’s up to me to take over the family business. But you don’t get it. His line of work it very… Dangerous to those around whoever does it. If I stay with you, do you know how much danger I’m putting you in? I can’t do that to you and your family, Han Ni.” What was he saying? What line of work was he describing? Why had his father become sick? What would she do if he got hurt? She was so scared right now.

”Does that mean you’re in danger as well?” He was taken aback by her concern, and it clearly showed on his face. His eyes were wide and his mouth was set in a hard line, but then he smiled, seeing that he was letting go a perfect woman; one who was always concerning of others around her. ”No, Han Ni. I’ll be okay. The types of people I work with are too cowardly to go against me directly, which is why one of them would go after you.” She was so confused, but instead of confusion that she showed on her face, there was sorrow, remorse, hurt, and most of all, happiness. She was just so glad that he actually cared enough for her to be honest with her about all of this, and he wasn’t making an excuse. He really did fear for her, and if he didn’t do this now, while there was still time, it might’ve put her and her family in danger. That last thing she wanted was for her family to be in trouble because of whom she was dating. He meant a lot to her, but not enough to put her family in harms way. ”Oppa,” She started, causing him to look at her and bring his face closer to hers. ”Ye?”She smiled at him, and he brought his face closer. She loved the way he could tell exactly where she wanted him to be. ”Gomawo,” He nodded to her, and by then, their foreheads were pressed together. ”Before we’re really done, oppa, can you spend the night with me?” He nodded and lifted his head. ”If that’s what you want, then yes. Just let me go get my things, okay?” She nodded and when he left, she began to weep, but stopped before he could catch her. She quickly changed into her pajamas and then slipped into bed before he arrived, breathing heavily.

”Han Ni-ah…” He said just before slipping into bed beside her and wrapping his arm around her wait. His head rested in the nape of her neck. ”Ye, oppa?” She asked before placing a hand on his wrist. ”I’m so sorry that we’ll never be able to do this again. Are you mad?” She quickly shook her head and wiped her face of any excess tears that had formed on her face. ”No, Dae Hyun. I’m actually really grateful for you being so honest with me. Even though I wish it didn’t have to end, I’m just glad that it ended this way." She snuggled into him, bringing herself closer, loving the feeling of his warm body against hers. He didn’t say anything else for the rest of the night, and held her against his chest until morning, where he quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake her, and left with all of his things, as if he had never been there in the first place. When she awoke the next morning to see all of his things missing, she wept for a bit and called her cousins Rinnie and Mai over, where she explained the situation, and they comforted her for the rest of the night. She knew that it was no use being sorry and regretful for all of the things that she wished she had done differently in the relationship, so she never did, and when she felt herself even remotely starting to, she pushed the feeling and thought out of her mind and concentrated on something else; usually dancing, but sometimes even singing. She was looking to become as good as the American idol runner up Jessica Sanchez one day.

TWO AND A HALF MONTHS LATER

It was exactly two and a half months later when she woke up to her loud alarm clock. It was still dark outside, being that it was only five fifteen in the morning, so her eyes were still adjusting when she flipped on her ceiling light. In the mornings, Han Ni always loved to stretch out her legs, her back, her head and her arms, because she knew that if she didn’t she would be sore the next morning. Regardless of whether or not she stretched, she could still get hurt, but it would be much harder if her muscles were all stretched out beforehand. For starters, she dropped herself into the butterfly position and pushed her head down until he was resting flat against her feet. She stayed like that until it was burning in her thighs, before splitting her legs into a “V” and stretched out her left leg first by placing a hand on the bridge of her foot and pushed herself towards that foot. She stayed with her chin resting on her shin for about fifteen seconds before switching to the other foot and doing the same for that leg. After this, she stood and ran a hand through her bed ridden hair and stretched out the rest of her body before seeing that the sun was just beginning to rise. That meant that she needed to shower, style her hair, dress, eat breakfast, and then get herself to school. She did just that, too and with a smile on her face. It had been just a short amount of time to get over her boyfriend, but she was still so glad that he actually cared for her that much to protect her and her family in the way that he did, and for this, she was forever grateful.

When she got to school around two and a half hours later, with everything she needed for the day, she looked around. All seemed restless, but for reasons unknown to her. Did they even know? She had no idea, all she knew was that something exciting, and probably life changing was going to happen, whether it be to her, a friend, or a relative, something big was coming. As she crossed the hallway, she grew really weary. Neither Rinnie or Mai was waiting for her by her locker, like one of them usually did, ready to tell her every detail of what she had missed when she wasn’t there. She figured that she must’ve been early, and when she checked the time, she confirmed this, Mai Rin would’ve even be up until thirty minutes later. She was nervous over nothing, it seemed, so she found her way into her first class, which was pretty empty and placed her headphones in her ear. Her teacher let her do this since class had technically not started yet, and the more people were distracted, the less they would bother her. Han Ni smiled at this tactic as a song by the legendary CURS’D came into hearing. It started out slow and steady, and then rocked out into one of her favorite beats. She was sad, however, that she always had to hide whenever she listened to their music, because neither Rinnie nor Mai liked them. She didn’t know why, however. They were gorgeous, they could sing and dance, and they had that mysterious vibe that sent any of their fans reeling. Plus, they were all pretty ripped, which was a plus. Han Ni, not wanting to disturb any of the good essence between the three girls, decided to just keep it a secret that she was a fan. It was the best way to go.

Han Ni wasn’t alone for more than thirty minutes before Mai sat down beside her. Han Ni quickly paused her music, and then stuffed her iPod and the headphones in the pocket of her blazer before turning to the girl as she complained about her father. Han Ni smiled at her before shaking her head. ”What did he do this time?” It was no surprise that her father had screwed something up, because most of the time when he tried to fix something, that was what happened. Han Ni was just glad that she lived alone. Her father was the same way. When Mai asked where Chae Rin was, Han Ni was puzzled. She looked around the room, and even peeked her head outside the class room momentarily, but she still had no idea. ”Nado molla.” She said this with a shrug and then laid her head down on her folded arms before shutting her eyes a bit. It wasn’t that she was tired; she was just conserving her energy. Since Han Ni was a contemporary dancer, it required her to use her body in ways that most average dancers couldn’t imagine. Han Ni was a very flexible woman. Just as Han Ni was doing her inhaling exercises, Mai beside her called out, but stopped midway through calling out Rinnie’s name. She sound shocked, so Han Ni lifted her head and turned towards the direction of the doorway. She saw Chae Rin, and three familiar males beside her. Han Ni gasped loudly before turning her head away from them and placing her head in her hands. ”Omo,” She said this to herself and gently shook her head. As Chae Rin found her seat, Han Ni looked to the girl and widened her eyes. ”Why are they here?” There was no distaste in her voice, she was simply curious, and little more than taken aback by the discovery that they would not only be attending this school, but they would be attending their first period dance class as well. She knew that both of her cousins would not be happy about this, but inside, Han Ni was screaming with happiness. On the outside, however, all she showed was nervousness.

With the conclusion of the teacher that they were to be treated as regular students, the class stood up for a warm up dance. Han Ni looked down at her clothes and noticed that it was in no way appropriate for her type of dance, or any dance in general. Her shoes were far too tall for any kind of dance, and she would sure break an ankle if she danced in them. So, while the class did their warm up dance, she slipped away to her dance locker where she pulled out her just cleaned dance clothes, which consisted of a baggy long shirt with a big red heart on the front, a pair of grey comfy shorts that showed off her legs very well. Lastly, a pair of white ballet flats on her feet. She knew that her dance teacher would let anyone who wanted to do a practice solo dance for the class was welcome to do one. Her dance needed a lot of room, and since the dance room was the biggest in the school, it was just going to have to do. Upon finishing up her change, she scurried out onto the dance floor at the ending of the dance, where she got the last bit in before the song ended. A bright smile formed on her face as Mai high fived her and complemented them on their dancing. She was cocky, yes, but she had a reason to be, since they really were amazing; best in class as the teacher put it. Han Ni, however, wasn’t one to brag and made her way to the side of the room as Mai suggested that they do lunch at her house, and then told them that this wasn’t a good idea anymore since her father had killed the power. Han Ni nodded before sliding down to the floor in a split in order to stretch out her legs. Her chin rested on her shin again, and she kept this stance for about fifteen seconds before sitting up against the wall as the teacher announced that if anyone wanted to do a solo dance, may do so at the moment. Rinnie beat her to it, so Han Ni would go after her.

As Chae Rin began her hip hop dance, Han Ni smiled furiously. Rinnie was the best in class at shaking her hips and popping out her chest, and Han Ni admired her, though it wasn’t her favorite style of dance. Han Ni was more of the graceful, elegant type, and it showed a lot in her personality as well. She played the innocent part, and in their group, she was commonly known as the peace maker, just because whenever the other two got into some sort of fight, Han Ni was always there to talk it out and straighten things. She was a very liable asset for the group. When Rinnie’s song ended, she made her way to the other two, slightly out of breath, asking how she did and if they reacted. So, Han Ni slowly turned her head in the direction of the members of CURS’D, her eyes scanning over their faces, but just before she had time to tell Rinnie anything, she told them that she didn’t want to know. So, Han Ni turned her face away and to the others, as they were discussing the problem of one of the members of the band bumping into Mai. Han Ni shook her head, knowing that they were both overreacting and pat the two on the head. ”Don’t overreact guys. It was probably just a mistake. Let it go, arasso?” The girl smiled before hearing the teacher yell out that it was the last call, so she quickly hopped up and gracefully made her way to the center of the stage. She told the teacher what song she wanted to be played and she nodded. As Han Ni slowly breathed in and out, the music began and it was time for her to start.

She was very graceful in the way she moved. Her arms and legs acted as though it was second nature for her do her favorite dance style. Her body was made for this type of style, and when she finished on her knees, bending her body backwards, Han Ni smiled and stood. It wasn’t a very long dance, and she had just enough room so that she wasn’t running into the walls. Of course, she had come close several times, but as the dance progressed, there was just enough moving around for her to perfect it in such little space. As Han Ni wiped her forehead, she made her way to her cousins and slid down to the floor, resting her back and her head against the mirrored wall behind her. ”Wahh~ There was just enough room for that. Next time, I’ll have to pick a dance that doesn’t require so much space.” Han Ni smiled and chuckled at this before patting her cheeks. As the class progressed, her class worked on perfecting some dance moves to certain routines, while she, Rinnie, and Mai sat in the corner talking, and occasionally helped others out, since the dances that they struggled on, the three of them excelled on. Whilst doing all of this, however, Han Ni sneaked small glances at Jeongsin, Wol, and Jisang, careful not to be caught by anyone, and even if she was, it was as if her eyes were just scanning the classroom. She couldn’t stand the fact that she had to keep her admiration a secret. Her cousins would definitely look down on her if they discovered that she was a fan of them, and that, she couldn’t risk, so throughout the whole class, she kept the long glances at a minimum and focused mostly on the conversations that the two other girls brought up.

Oh Han Ni was still a bit fearful of the mail, especially having had the conversation that they did earlier. He was very sloppy with his words, making Han Ni look down on both him and Wol. Why had she invited him inside? She didn't know. When he said he'd love to come inside and grinned from ear to ear, she felt a bit better. He looked so innocent and childish then she couldn't help but stifle a giggle as she turned away and let him shut the door on the way in. As she stepped into the living room, however, something about what Ji Sang had said earlier made her turn and eye him carefully. "Oh, I know. He's infatuated with Chae Rin." She commented on his comment about Wol not caring for Mai Rin. She knew he didn't because she knew how he felt about Chae Rin. He looked at her like a prize to be won. She hated that. She wanted to hide Chae Rin away and never let her see Wol again just because he didn't seem to be a very good man. Something else about what Ji Sang said to her caught her attention, so she quickly turned to him again with a cautious expression. "Are you saying that if you brought her home, you'd take advantage of her?" If he said anything other than no, Oh Han Ni would be pissed. If he said yes, then she would demand that he leave, and demand that he make Wol stay away from both Mai and Chae Rin. She was lucky that he wasn’t interested in her. She wouldn’t be able to handle it, and she certainly wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Han Ni is a very reserved person, so the most she would be able to do against Wol would be running away or screaming for help. By then, however, he probably would have dragged her away, or he would have run after her and start being creepy with her again. She was so lucky that she didn’t have to deal with him. It was just unfortunate that Chae Rin had to deal with it, and now Mai. Han Ni doesn’t want them hurt, and if Wol does anything to them that causes them any sort of pain, she’d hide them away and forbid Wol to get any closer, though she wouldn’t be able to fight them off if he gets violent about them. Han Ni slowly shook her head of that thought and turned to Ji Sang as he responded to her comment.

He let his jaw drop. At least he was acting shocked. She did feel a bit better about inviting a complete stranger into her house. “Oh god no.” She cocked her head to the side. Was he telling the truth, or was he just telling her what she wanted to hear? "I mean," He started and she blinked her eyes several times before he continued. “I wouldn’t sleep with her no, I don’t make it a point to sleep with non-willing drunk females.” Now that was something that she didn't want to hear. Oh Han Ni clicked her tongue and raised a brow. "But you'll sleep with anyone willing?" At that point, she was getting tired of just standing in front of him and judging him, so she headed into the kitchen and poured a bit of water into her teapot and then turned on the burner and waited for it heat up. Meanwhile, Ji Sang had gotten exceptionally closer to her than necessary. All she could do was stare up at him. Why were his eyes so intense? Why was he staring at her like this? “No, I have standards, but enough of this conversation.” He told her and she furrowed her brows in anger. Who did he think he was? Was he so superior that she could end a conversation whenever he wanted? “Let’s talk about the show case shall we?” She scoffed and looked up at his eyes. They were shifting somehow. She thought first that it might just be a trick of her eyes so she cleared her throat and blinked quite a few times and even spoke. "How can you just end the conversation there? Who says I'm done?" It hadn't stopped. Could everyone do that with their eyes? It was so weird, and she'd never seen it happen before. He was still staring at her so intensely. It made her uncomfortable so she shifted a bit and backed up a bit. It was quite awkward for her. He had gone from stuttering and stammering to intensely staring at her with weird, shifting eyes. It was too much for her to handle. She backed up even more and put her hands on the counter. She felt more comfortable at this distance. If he got any closer to her with those intense eyes, she wasn’t afraid to hit him over the head with something. Sure, she’d feel bad about it, just a bit, but he’d deserve it, and she’d feel good about herself if she fended off a criminal.

"Uh, what are you doing?" When he blinked, his eyes returned to normal. She sighed with relief and tried not to cringe at his comment about getting lost in her eyes. Had he meant to be that cheesy? Should she tell him that no way in hell was she buying that? Then, he spoke again. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist that. Don’t listen to me.” She nodded and turned away from him as the hot water whistled for her attention. "Okay. What do you want to do? Sing or dance?” She asked him to try and clear the air. It was a bit stiff and awkward as she stood there, pouring water into two cups with ground coffee inside. She could've used her coffee maker, but she had learned to do this from a local Filipino lady that used to live in her apartment complex. She was a very nice lady, and she always made the best coffee. “Um…we could do both. I’d love to hear you sing.” She told him, but it didn't really seem like he was paying attention, though she wasn't facing him, so she couldn't tell. "We can't do both. We only have around two minutes in the showcase. There's no way." He began to look around her things then and she was very wary about him touching her things. She didn't trust him yet, and you never knew how trustworthy a person was until you got to know him. He could be a thief or a murder for all she knew. She turned away from him again when she asked if she played guitar. Shaking her head, she stirred the coffee , deciding to just make the mugs both black since that's how she liked it and she had no idea how he liked it. She decided to just wing it because she wanted to keep an eye on Ji Sang while he was looking at her things. She still didn’t trust him, and it wasn’t right of her to just let him be with her stuff. He might be dangerous, she didn’t know, but she didn’t want to risk it. All she knew was if just one thing was missing from her shelves, she’d be so pissed at him. She’d have to hunt him down and demand her things back, even if it meant embarrassing herself and him at the same time.

Just then, she heard the strumming of a guitar. She quickly spun around with a gasp. She hated it when people played with her things without her permission, ever since she was younger. It's been a pet peeve of her for god knows how long. "Oh no, don't-" He began to sing then, and she cut herself off. He sounded so into it. She was so mesmerized that when he finished she hadn't even noticed that she had been staring at her with her mouth hung open the whole time. Only when he asked if the coffee was ready did she snap out of it and nod, though she didn't trust her voice, so she didn't speak. They had talked about pretty much about everything. They even sang and danced. Why? Han Ni had no clue, but since Ji Sang wanted to, she felt obliged to do so. It was fun, she had to admit. He was a cute fellow, and very attractive, so when he asked her to sing and dance, she definitely wasn't going to say no even though she still felt very wary about him, she was willing to get along with him since she would be seeing a lot of him from now on. He interrupted her laughing fit with a question that she would have to think about. What song should they sing? She looked around the room to get an inspiration when suddenly it hit her. "Whenever you call!" She gasped because they had both said it at the same time. It made her giggle. “By Mariah Carey and Brian McKnight?” She nodded and grinned before hearing him comment about great minds thinking alike. It was funny. She went from being uncomfortable around him and thinking that he was a criminal to sitting with him on the couch, singing, laughing and talking and even smiling at him. What was wrong with her? Had his song really changed her feelings towards him all that much? She didn’t think so, but maybe it did. She still didn’t trust him, but she did feel a bit more comfortable around him, and a little less awkward, to the point where she could actually sit near him and smile. She had to admit, however, that it was nice, and she was enjoying herself. Was it weird of her to think this of a stranger whom she had met just hours before? Well, yes, but she would be around him so much, that she figured getting to know him wouldn’t be so much of a bad thing.

After that, they talked for a while, until she began to yawn. She could tell it was late because her eyes were getting heavy, and she had trouble not dozing off. “Ah it’s late,” He looked so adorable just sitting there that she had trouble sending him off. Plus, his mansion was probably a ways away, and he had no vehicle to get home. She wasn't just going to send him off in the cold to walk home for who knows how long. "Sleep over." She found herself saying. He began to question her so she shook her head and went on. “It’s very late, and you have a far way to walk back to your home right?” He nodded then, obviously shocked by her demand. She would feel bad if he went out right now. She just hoped that he wouldn't get the wrong idea about this. “Then stay you can sleep on the couch. I will get you a pillow and a blanket.” She got up then, yawned, and stretched her arms behind her head. “That’s a great idea…thank you for letting me stay.” She smiled and nodded, and then headed off to go and get a spare blanket and pillow for him to use. When she came back, she placed the item in his hands and waved to him goodnight before hearing him wish her a good night as well. She bowed a bit before smiling sleepily and heading off to her room. Once there, she listened for any noise outside her door to see if he would actually go to sleep. If he did sleep then she would have to say kudos to him. She was too nervous and anxious to do so right then and there. She decided to change into her pajamas and sit on her bed and read for a bit, but every ten minutes or so, she would look up and expect her door to open, and for him to come in, with the goofy smile of his face that he always had on. God, she loved his smile. It was the best part of him, well, and the fact that, just like his band mates, he was gorgeous. She found it odd that they were all so pale, and so perfect. They all had this look in their eyes as they entered the dance class that morning like they were better and almost more experienced than everyone there. The look was smug, almost. She hated that, but she was also very curious about it, and wanted to know what exactly about them made them so untouchable. Was it even right of her to let one of them spend the night at her house?

                              A FEW HOURS LATER

Oh Han Ni's eyes shot open. "Oh s**t, my car." She told herself in perfect English. She had left it in the school parking lot, out in the open, where anybody who wanted to could steal it. It would literally kill her if she didn't go and bring it home. She had this sort of OCD where if she was reminded that she needed to do something, she wouldn't rest until she got it done. Since she reminded herself that she needed to go and get her car, she would not be able to get to sleep again without going to get it. So, slowly and quietly, she slipped on a tank top, sweater, and a pair of shorts, then grabbed her shoes, tied her hair into a pony tail and made her way slowly to the front door. She turned her head to look as Ji Sang. He was still sound asleep. Good. The last thing she needed was for him to wake up and start asking her where she was going at such late hours of the night, or early morning. She slipped out the front door and once she was well away from the driveway, she decided that it would be best to jog since it would get her there faster, and she would be exercising. As she ran, she heard the crunching of leaves behind her, so she stopped running and looked around. She saw no one, so she figured that it may have been a cat or a stray dog of something. She continued her jog at a slower pace, careful to watch around her. The crunching noise came back and a trash can was flipped over, making a loud crackling sound. Han Ni ran faster. She was scared, and while yes, it was all her fault for even being there in the first place, she didn’t want to leave her car out there. It was practically up for grabbings to whatever lowlife wanted it. This set her on edge and made her even more determined to go and get it, if it was even still there. The sounds followed her, however. She was hoping to shake them off by running as fast as she could, but no. It sounded like heavy footsteps, and not just one. What she pictured was a large male, flanked by two other males, and in the background, two more backup males. If she was right, she would be in for hell in the future. What if they tried to hurt her? What if they were just going to the same place as she was? What if they were after her car? No, she wouldn’t let them have it. She ran faster and ignored the noises for now. If they were there when she got to the car, then oh well, she would be able to fend them off with two tons of metal at her hands.

As she entered the schools parking lot, she heard footsteps again. She pretended not to hear them and continued to walk. She was so damn close to her car. Why did she have to be followed? Why was she assuming that she was being followed? There could just be some other people walking around that night. Her suspicions, however, were confirmed with two meaty arms wrapped around her. She began to fight, scream and struggle, when a set of lips inched close of her ear, breathing deeply once before speaking. "What are you doing pretty girl? Innocent ladies like you shouldn't be up alone at this hour." His sinister voice sent chills down her spine. She struggled further, muttering and then screaming. "Let me go!" He didn't listen. He only held her tighter. Just then, she heard another voice. This one was far more familiar. “No, scumbags like you shouldn’t be out.” She turned her head in the direction of the voice and saw Ji Sang. She gasped. Had he followed her here? She was so grateful, but she was also a bit surprised, and a bit in shock. He pried the man from her like it was nothing and stood in front of her in a protective stance. When one of the males tried to swing at Ji Sang with a bat, she cringed and put her hands over her face. She was still watching as the scene broke down however, and she was horrified. Ji Sang was like a savage beast. There was blood everywhere. He had literally beaten the men into bloody pulps. Had she known that Ji Sang had a side like this, she never would've invited him inside her house. She should’ve just driven her car home from school. Why did her hormones have to mess with her brain? Why did she have to be so compliant with him and let him walk her home, when she had a much easier way home? She almost never walked home, so why had she done it when a handsome idol wanted to walk her home? Had she known he was this dangerous, she never woud’ve said a word to him. Sure, he was cute, adorable, and had an amazing smile at times, but if this was his other side, the side that she had to deal with while they worked on their performance, then she was scared. What if he hurt her? What if he kidnapped her? What if he turned so savage that he killed her? Why was she scaring herself like this? Maybe he just had an adrenaline rush. Still, something about him felt so off. She felt this way around the others as well. She honestly hoped that Mai and Rinnie were okay. Jung-Keun seemed innocent enough, so she wasn’t as worried about him, but Wol, now he scared her. She should’ve never let him take her home. She should’ve just driven them home.

As he turned to her, she pushed away her thoughts for the moment and stared at him with wide eyes. He asked her if she was alright. "Fine," Was all she could say. He didn’t seem to be though. He seemed distressed, and he was breathing so heavily. He looked paler than usual, and his eyes were a bit darker than usual. She furrowed her brows then and shook her head as he eyed the keys in her hand and commented on how she should know better than to go creeping around at three in the morning. She nodded solemnly, and then eyed him closely. "Why had you done that? Why had you beaten them so brutally?" He seemed like he was ignoring her and trying to focus on something else. “I’ll drive. Get in the car.” She had no choice but to go with him, since he had already taken the keys from her. She was very reluctant to get into the car with him, but she did anyways, because the sooner she got home, the sooner she could go back to sleep and try to forget about the horrifying things that she had seen that night. They arrived at her house shortly after and once the car was safely parked in her driveway, she got out, still pretty freaked by Ji Sang and his savage mood swing. “Come on let’s get you to bed.” He told her, placing her car keys in her hand. He didn't let go of her hand then, and it startled her, so she pulled away and hurried inside, not stopping until she was safely in her sheets. She didn't even bother to change. She was so tired that it only took her about fifteen minutes to fall asleep. While she was sleeping, however, she felt this slight annoyance on her neck. It wasn't enough to wake her, but it was certainly enough for her to keep cringing. It felt almost like a spider bite. Maybe a spider had crawled into her bed when she hadn’t noticed and had waited for her to fall asleep before it actually began to feed on her. She got the itching feeling, however, that whatever was biting her was dangerous. She, however, didn’t want to wake up, because she was so tired, and she was afraid that it might disturb her dream. She dreamed of the times when she still lived with her family. Of course she missed them, but they were better off without her, and she was way more independent without them. All in all, her decision definitely helped them both.

                              THE NEXT MORNING

When Oh Han Ni woke up the next morning, she nearly screamed out in pain. Her neck hurt so bad, it was actually really difficult to sit up. It was like two small daggers were piercing her skin. It was a very intense stinging sensation, along with the feeling of having pulled a muscle. The first thing she did that morning was rush to her bathroom mirror to inspect. What she found, however, was a bear neck. "What?" She felt around for even the tiniest bump of some sort, or maybe a knot, or a small nick or something, but no, there was nothing. She found this odd, so she assumed that maybe she had slept on it wrong. So, not letting this effect the start of her day, she took a shower, changed and blow dried her hair. As she was finishing up, she smelled kimchi. Curious, she put a hand on her neck and rubbed it carefully, and then slowly opened her bedroom door, peeking her head outside. She then began to smell more. Was this a dream, or was she just so hungry that she had begun to smell things? Even more curious, she stepped out further and shut her bedroom door behind her. Han Ni's neck still hurt like hell, so while she began to walk towards the dining room, where she heard noise, she kept her hand on it, rubbing it. “Good Morning.” He told her, and she began to blink her eyes rapidly at the sight. The table was full of food. She didn't even know she had any of the ingredients for any of this. Stopping in her tracks, Han Ni stared wide eyed at him. "W-What is this?" She couldn't help but speak in English. Hearing someone else do it made her want to. ”Did you sleep well?” She ignored his question and pointed to the table with her free hand. "How?... Why?... Did you?.... You made all this... F-for me?" She couldn't get out one single correct sentence out because she was so shocked. To think, he went from being absolutely scary, to considerate and cheerful. He was grinning at her. Why was he grinning at her? Perhaps he was waiting for her to respond to all of this, but to tell the truth, she was honestly too numb to do so.

“Come, sit!” She nervously did as he said and slowly sat down in the chair that he had pulled out for her, and as she did so, he pushed it in so that once she was fully sitting, she was sitting the right distance away from the table, just enough so that she could still reach the table, but not too much where she was being squished. She was honestly surprised by how well the food looked and smelled. Han Ni looked over to Ji Sang to say a thank you, or something along the lines of "I can't believe you did this for me." or something like that, when she witnessed his fail at attempting to sit down in the chair. She tried so hard not to laugh, but it was really hard. Afterwards, however she stood up to look over the table. "Omo, are you okay? You didn't hit your head did you?" She was honestly concerned, which she found slightly odd, considering that the night before, she found him scary and dangerous. Don't get her wrong, she still did. When the blush from on his cheeks subsided a bit, she shook her head and giggled faintly, before looking down to the food before her, just as he had began to explain what was there. “So there’s, Galbi, some salad, Kongnamul Bab, Oi Naengguk, and Moo Saengchae.” She nodded and then picked up her chopsticks, wondering what to have first. The short ribs looked the best,so she decided on that first. It really was good, She wondered how she never thought to make that for herself, She did have the ingredients after all. “Ah I hope it’s okay I’m sure your cooking is much better than mine.” She looked up to him with stuffed cheeks, since she had decided to go ahead and try the others, and yes, they were all just as good. She swallowed first, and then nodded to him with a shy grin on her face. "Ah, everything's great." She didn't bother to say anything about his comment about her cooking. Why would he assume such things. Maybe he was just trying to flatter her. As she ate, she noticed that he wasn't touching anything. She frowned and looked up at him again. "Aren't you going to eat? I can't eat all of this by myself." Had he already eaten? Oh well, more for her. She didn't want to say this, but secretly, yes she could eat all of this food by herself.

The phone rang then, and her mouth was full of food. "Huh?" Was all she could say as she attempted to swallow, and watched as Ji Sang shot up, exclaiming that he'd get the phone. When she finally swallowed, she grabbed a napkin and wiped her mouth. "Thank you," She said, referring to the phone call. She got up then, however, and walked over to him, and leaned against the counter close to the phone, and listened to what he was saying, and trying to over hear what the caller was saying, but it was too quiet for her. “Ah Ajumma this is Park Ji Sang, yes…okay Han Ni and I will be there in a few hours.” She tilted her head to the side and furrowed her brows. Who was he talking to, and why did he say that she'd be going somewhere with him. What was this? When he hung up the phone, she was about to ask him who it was and what she wanted, when he suddenly spoke up. “Ah, that was Mai Rin’s omma. She said that Mai Rin and Wol are there and apparently Wol slept over so to come over when we can, they aren’t going to school.” She nearly screamed at the top of her lungs, but she held it in because she didn't want to risk ruining her voice. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head, and her mouth hung wide open. "B-bwoh-yah?! Wol.... S-slept over?! Is she okay?" Before he had time to answer, Han Ni was already grabbing tupperware to put the rest of the food that she hadn't eaten yet away. "Omo, why would I let Wol take her home? How could I have been so stupid?" She growled in frustration as she angrily spooned the left overs into the containers. When they were all in a container, she shoved them in to her fridge, figuring that it would be good for at least a week or so, so she wouldn't have to go out to eat for a while. After she cleaned off the table and shoved the dishes into the dishwasher, before drying her hands and rushing to her room, brushing her teeth, and sliding on a pair of shoes, and then grabbed her keys and looked around for Ji Sang. When she found him, she cleared her throat.

"Thank you for breakfast. I'm sorry the moment was so short lived, but I really want to get over there and make sure she's okay. So let's go, alright?" She didn't wait to hear his response before she began towards the door, and when she opened it, she trusted him to shut it behind him. If he didn't, then she'd probably get robbed. Oh well. All she wanted to do right now was get to Mai's house. She didn't care how she had to do it. If she had to run there, she would. If she had to parachute out of a jet, she would. That's how much she was worried about Mai. She honestly didn't care if Ji Sang was with her or not. All she knew was that she had to get to Mai, and quick. When she heard the door shut, she opened her car door, unlocked the passenger side door, and once he was inside, she started the engine and took off. She remained at the speed limit, but her heart was racing and her hands gripped the steering wheel so hard, that her knuckles were white. She was hardly paying attention to Ji Sang, which was the first time since... Well, ever. She was just to focused on the one task in front of her that she hardly noticed him. To make up for it, she cleared her throat. "So... What was with you last night? Was all of that beating really... necessary? I mean, I know, they were trying to hurt me, but my car was right there. We could've just driven away. But instead... You beat them with bats until they were lying bloody on the floor." She shuddered at the image of it in her head and swallowed back a lump in her throat. She hated having to ask him that, but it had been bugging her ever since she went to bed for the last time last night. She just wanted to know. Was there something wrong with him that she should know about. They arrived then, and as soon as the car was properly parked, and her seat belt was off, she opened her door and ran inside and immediately started yelling. "Mai Rin? Mai Rin! Are you okay?" Once she had her arms wrapped around her cousins shoulders, she felt better. "God, I was so worried. You're okay right? Not hurt? He didn't... I mean, you guys did nothing, right?" She felt like a mother right now, but with one of her closest friends and family on the line, she felt like she had to be. Mai was one of the most important things in her life. If she was hurt, Han Ni wouldn't know what to do.

Gil Nae Dan, or Danny as he prefers is a very broken character. He wasn't always this way; in fact, when he was just five years old, Danny was the happiest little boy in all of Mungyeong in five year old terms. He tended to exaggerate just slightly. He had parents who loved and cared for him, and because he was the only child at the time, they gave all of their attention to him. They didn't have to split their love on a second person. However, two years later, his mom got pregnant and almost a year later Danny had a little baby brother. Danny wasn't happy about this at all and demanded that his mom take it back to wherever she got it from, because he didn't want to be near it. His parents told him that he was just overreacting and that he would love having a little brother. He didn't think so at the moment, but he learned eventually that they were right. It took three years, but Danny did end up liking a little brother. After all, you need someone to spend time with when your parents are never around and you're stuck with a random stranger they've paid to watch you while they're gone.

His father had been promoted a couple of months after his little brother Dae Sik was born, and his mother always worked late, sometimes even night shifts. She had told Danny that she was a nurse at one of the local hospitals, but as he grew older, he came to the conclusion that she was lying. One day when he and his brother were all alone, Dae got a really high fever and stomach pain, so Danny carried him on his back to the hospital that his mother claimed to work, but when he asked around, none of the of nurses had ever heard of her name. In later years, he was told before she died that his mother was a stripper and that his father paid her to marry him. Apparently he was a much richer man than Danny had ever realized. When Danny was just thirteen years old, his mother was died. She was coming home from one of her late shift when a man came up behind her and demanded that she give him everything in her pockets. When she wasn't quick enough to react, he stabbed her, took her things, and left her dead on the pavement. His father was away on a business trip, so he knew that the man wasn't worrying, but it had been over two and a half days since he had seen his mother. He called around and even got the police to search around. At first, it seemed as though she was missing, when one of the police officers tripped over her rotting body. Danny was crushed when he heard the news and went into a stage of depression. When his father found out, he flew back to take care of the two sons that he was now alone with.

Four years later, when Danny was seventeen, and his brother Dae was eleven, Danny had just gotten his license after months of trying the test and failing. His father was out of town on another business trip, so Danny decided to take his little brother out to do whatever the boy wanted. He chose to go to the beach, so they packed their things and headed for their destination. They spent close to six hours there, having a blast. Danny had been flirting with girls his age, and his brother did the same. Dae was winning with the women. When it started raining a couple of hours later, Danny took that as a sign that they should start heading home, so they packed up their things and Danny drove off. As the light turned green on an intersection, Danny turned to his brother to ask him where he wanted to eat. As he did so, a semi truck came barreling down the road they were crossing and crashed into the side of the car that Danny's brother had been sitting. When the smoke cleared, and Danny was able to crawl out of his demolished car, he turned to see if his brother had gotten out. He was just sitting there in his seat. When Danny examined the extent of his injuries, he knew that his little brother had died. Luckily, Danny wasn't dean, but his left leg was broken in several places, his right shoulder was dislocated, he had a concussion, several broken and bruised ribs, and and emotional scar that would haunt him forever.

When his father found out about the accident and the loss of one of his sons, he went into a state of emotional instability. It took over two months for Danny to heal, but when he did, his father lashed out, calling his harsh names, blaming him for the loss of everyone he cared about, and even beat him until he was on the floor bleeding. The first time he was perfectly sober, and then it started getting worse as his drinking increased, he would get beaten almost every night, sometimes two to three times a day. Why did he take it? Because he didn't blame his father. He was right after all. He had killed his baby brother and one of the closest friends he ever had. The little boy meant everything to Danny, and now that he was gone, he felt empty. Maybe the emptiness is the reason why he lashed out on his "girlfriend" Sun, or maybe because all of the beatings that he took made him bitter. When he was of the legal age, Danny moved out to prevent causing his father any more pain than he already had, and to stop the beatings. He decided to attempt to get his life together, so he applied for college and to his surprise he got in. There, he met a girl named Moon Sun Hee. She was different from all of the girls that he met around campus, but he felt like she was hiding something like him, so he decided to try and get close to her by putting on his innocent, aegyo facade, and it worked. From there, he stepped up his game, acting like he liked her, which at some points he did, and each step he took got him closer and closer to the secrets she was keeping from him. They had dated for a while when finally, she cracked and spilled her secrets to him. In that moment, he started hating her. For all of the dirty secrets she had, and the kind of secrets she had, she was really hard to get. He made a devious plan in his head to ruin her, and the next day the plan was in action. He began whispering her secret to strangers and friends around campus, and soon the secret was traveling like a wildfire. Kids began to tease her, asking her "how much" and in the heat of the moment, she swore revenge on him, but she had nothing against him since he never really let her in. He didn't tell her any of his big secrets, and he sure as well kept his personal information to himself. He was very vague with Sun about details.

During college, he met another girl, but this one he didn't despise. In fact, she ended up becoming his best friend. Her name was Mao Hei Ran, and for some reason, the day he met her he grew and interest in her. Things about her irritate him; like the fact that she pried about his personal life. He eventually cracked and told her everything about him, but he wasn't happy about it and he still holds it against her. Another thing that irritates him about her is the fact that she calls him "oppa." He constantly reminds her how much that term bugs him, but she just does it to get on his nerves. Theres a whole list of things that irritates him about her, but there is also a whole other list about things that he loves about her. For instance, her loyalty, her using the word "biffle" - for some reason when she says it, it doesn't annoy him, she's affectionate, out-going, etc. Which is why, even when he was "dating" Sun, he grew feelings for her, but those feelings caused him to keep her at a distance, and he never told her about them. He never even told her the whole situation with Sun for fear of what she might think of him and that she might start hating him. He still is unsure of his feelings towards her, but he keeps whatever he feels at bay so that she and him can continue being best friends without any complications. She is the only person who sees the real innocent, aegyo side of him.

Danny woke up to a small rustle beside him in bed and a pressure against his chest. He moved a bit to look down at the small girl curled around his waist, when suddenly she gripped tighter. He chuckled before checking the time on his clock. He groaned, realizing that it was nowhere near time for him to wake up. He tried to fall back to sleep, but nothing he was trying was working. He tried counting sheep, he tried humming himself to sleep, he even tried keeping his eyes open for as long as possible and then shutting them quickly, but nothing seemed to work. He didn't want to sit there wide awake for a couple more hours, he wanted sleep dammit! In one final attempt at sleep, Danny wrapped his arms around his best friends body, pulling her close. The comforting feel of her body against his was just enough to get him into another deep sleep. It felt nice for him to be asleep again, and it also felt nice for Hei Ran to be in his arms. He fell asleep with a small, satisfied smile on his face.

A couple of hours later, he grunted awake by the sound of his phone silently vibrating. It startled him no doubt, but it wasn't enough to fully wake up, nor was it enough for him to get up and check it. He didn't care enough about it. Another louder sound jolted him awake. His body reacted before his eyes did. When he opened them, he turned to Hei Ran, because that was where the noise had come from. "Yah, michin yeoja, what are you doing?" He lifted his head up just slightly to see better and saw that her phone was going off. He couldn't see the caller, now did he care. He just wanted that thing off. "So much for a couple more hours of sleep." Danny turned on his side and stared at the clock, wishing that time would just stop so he could get as much sleep as he wanted before having to wake up. While he was awake he decided to check his phone. It had been a message from his cousin Noah.

                                        to: Danny
                                        from: Noah
msg: Dude. Why do there have to be so many pretty girls at this college?
                                        I'm freaking out!

Of course. It would only be his cousin - who was pretty much afraid of women to text him at eight in the morning just to tell him about the crisis of there being pretty women at this school. He rolled his eyes. Danny would deal with that nonsense later. Hopefully it was just a phase for Noah and it would ease out of his system by the end of this college semester. It was another two hours, and it was the most painful two hours of his life. He was never able to get back to sleep, and when his alarm clock went off, Danny groggily sat up and wiped the crud out of his eyes. He stood slowly and brushed down his hair. A slight chill went down his spine so he put on a pair of sweat pants and headed into the bathroom to wash his face. After that, he went to the kitchen and brewed a pot of coffee. While he waited he slumped down on the couch and turned on the new channel. Nothing was new of course. It didn't surprise him. Danny grabbed his phone and began a message to his cousin. He figured while he waited he should at least message him back to let him know he received the message.

                                        to: Noah
                                        from: Danny
msg: You messaged me at eight in the morning just to tell me that?
Go talk to one of the pretty ladies then, Mr. Noona Killer.

He chucked at the male and sighed. "Aish, jinjihage? This guy needs help!" After sending the message, the coffee maker indicated that it was done, so Danny stood and stretched while yawning. He got out two coffee mugs, because he assumed that Hei Ran would want some. Speaking of her, he wondered if she was still asleep or not? He looked around the corner but saw nothing really so he yelled, "Yah, Hei Ran are you awake? I made some coffee. Come get it!" He gently sipped the hot, black liquid as he sat down on the table and checked his schedule for the day on his phone. He didn't have a class until two today which meant that he would be free for another seven hours. "By the way, what classes do you have today? I don't have a class until two, which means I'll be home late, but I'll pick you up for lunch if you want." He assumed that she could hear him.

It was around noon when Danny drove around the side of the school that he knew Hei Ran came out of. They had a lunch date, and he didn't want to be late, so he was about five minutes early. For some reason, whenever he waited around for Hei Ran like this, he developed butterflies in his stomach. He couldn't really help it. He felt anxious, like something about her was going to change about her in the time that they hadn't seen each other. It wasn't possible, but it still sent jolts through his body. Another thing rolling through his mind was Sun. He hadn't thought about her in a while, mainly because he wasn't necessarily proud of what he had done to her, nor did he really know why he did it to her. I guess he was just having a bad day or something and decided to take it out on her. He admits that it was probably one of the cruelest things that he has ever done. Besides the accident and his brother. Now the older memories flooded into his mind and he sat his head back against his chair to suppress them. He didn't want them floating back in a public place, because once they reached the surface he wouldn't be able to control his emotions and he wouldn't want to explain to Hei Ran why he was just suddenly sobbing. So he sat there thinking about Hei Ran and how he should make it up to Sun, that is if she wasn't still plotting his death. It hadn't been that long since he had pretty much ruined his life. He wondered if she still held a grudge. He texted Hei Ran a quick message to let her know that he was there.

                                        to: Hei Ran
                                        from: Danny
msg: I'm here waiting for you, so don't take too long getting from your class okay? I have a
class at two so we can't take forever. You still have to pick where we're going.

When a mother of only twenty two realized that she would be having a baby she did not realize just how talented this little baby girl would be. She was married to a cold harsh man who only had room in his heart for her, and would end up making her daughters like a living nightmare, but she didn't care because all she ever wanted was perfection. Her husband made more money than she ever could with her small job that she would end up quitting to take care of her baby. The man was handsome and had a secret affiliation for drawing which he gave up years ago to become wealthy and big in a car industry. When the baby was born a short nine months after the mom (let's call her Mae So for the sake of this story, though it really doesn't matter) had a beautiful baby girl. She weighed six pounds, seven ounces and luckily she got her looks from her dad. The man never once held her when she was born and from there started the twenty year strive for his attention. He never gave in to her, though in his heart he loved her. He would never admit this out loud, and it would break his daughters heart, but this was the way he was. He believed that affection, love, and care were weaknesses.

Ever since Ae Cha was a kid painting and drawing had been a passion of hers. Her mother always supported her on it, and that was great and all but the only person she really wanted to please was her father. He was a cold, cruel man and Ae Cha hardly knew him; honestly, she had no idea what her mom saw in him. Occasionally they would cuddle on the couch, but he was never kind to Ae Cha. Whenever she would make mistakes he would call her out on it and make her feel horrible. She was so desperate for his attention that she would go to him and brag about everything. He never showed any kind of interest. When he died when she was ten she wasn't sad, but instead disappointed that she never gained his interest and attention. She was sure that deep down somewhere he loved her, but that part of her never came to the surface. Growing up, she was really sensitive to criticism and always strived to be the best at everything she did because she hated disappointing people, even those she doesn't know. Gradually, she stopped being so bubbly, and she started shutting people out thinking that if she pretended that she didn't care about anyone they may get the hint and leave her, and her imperfections alone.

She eventually went through a rebellious streak as well. She cut off her long, beautiful black hair and dyed it a caramel color. Her mother hated it but soon she moved out and didn't have to worry about what her mother did and didn't like about her. Her criticism was no longer present and no longer needed. She had a few boyfriends while she was away from her mom, but none of them worked out. Time after time she was dumped because the men always pointed out her flaws and made that as an excuse to push her away. She hated being pushed away so from then on she vowed to be the only one in a relationship to do the pushing away. She was tired of being dumped, so she gained a hard shell around her squishy interior, put on her big girl pants and started doing things that she didn't before. This was the beginning of her rebellious stage.

                                    User Image

Several things changed when she was going to the "rebellious stage" of her life. For one thing, her tolerance for specific types of men, like arrogant, stubborn, egotistic, etc. had nearly disappeared. She didn't care for them before her father died, but at least she put up with them. Now, with her more aggressive attitude, there's not one arrogant person that she doesn't hate in her city. Also, she couldn't stand girls who were overly cheerful, clingy, or wore too much makeup. Quite frankly, all they were to her were sluts or people who tried to hard to fit in. That was her before, and while she is still sensitive to being judge, she no longer tries as hard to be accepted, nor does she think it's a good idea to do so, in any circumstances. Eventually, her friends and her mother saw it that they needed to help Ae Cha out of her rut. They tried everything they could, but nothing seemed to work, at least until they received a flyer in the mail that was an answer to their prayers. It was a flyer for "Beojkkoch (벚꽃) mansion" or, a place for the heartbroken to heal. They figured that she wasn't exactly heart broken per say, but she was definitely "broken" and they wanted to fix her, so they signed her up. A week later, they received a letter in the mail that said the following:

tab tab "Thank you for requesting your daughter, Gyeong Ae Cha to the Beojkkoch (벚꽃) mansion. We have taken your statements under deep thoughts. We will now proceed to throughly investigate Ae Cha's background, and the severity of her case to see if she truly belongs in a place like the mansion. We will get back to you in a week. Please sign below and send it back in the mail so we have your full permission to carry out with the next steps to getting Ae Cha better."

Ae Cha's mother signed and sent it back, and within a week, they had their response. Ae Cha was in fact elligable to go to the Beojkkoch (벚꽃) mansion. Her mother mentioned the name of it a couple of times, but Ae Cha thought nothing of it, until she was actually being pushed into going and packing her things. Upon reading what the place was actually about, Ae Cha was clueless. When she was fully aware of her mothers intentions, she screamed for days about how she wasn't going. The more she heard about it though, the more she was intrigued to go and see what it was like. Ever since the stage of rebellion had begun for her, Ae Cha has been open to new things that could lead to bigger and better things. She actually found herself looking forward to it at one point in time. She wondered for several nights the kind of people she would meet there. The letter that she got about it in the mail told her that there would be twenty females, and twenty males, all ranging in age, but none older than thirty. The plan for the fourty strangers was for all of them to fall in love. She was supposed to fall in love with someone over the course of two three month visits with a year in between the two. Well, if she did fall in love with someone over the first visit, what if they didn't even live in Korea? What if she didn't get to see him for the whole year? Again, wouldn't that longing for that male make it all worth while to go and stay for the next three month visit? She thought it might.

                                    User Image

Ae Cha's mother had woken her up two hours before she had planned to make sure that she had everything that she would need for the duration of three months. She made breakfast for herself while her mother cleaned the house, and when the food was set on the table, they had an awkward, silent sit down. Both of them wanted to say something, but neither of them wanted to talk. Ae Cha decided that sitting there would get nothing solved so she cleared her throat, wiped her face and turned to her mother. "Did you pack my sketch pads? I may decide to start drawing there again. Who knows, they might just have an art studio there." Her mother, who had been startled by the sudden, emotionless talking suddenly blinked and looked up to her daughter, who looked so much like her dead husband. "Oh, uh, yes. They are in your smaller suitcase. By the way, the cab should be here in about two hours, so if you're done, I'd suggest going and finishing getting ready." Ae Cha finished the rest of her food in silence, then cleared her plate and headed upstairs. The first thing she did was shower, and then she put her clothes on. While she was waiting for her hair to dry, she put on the little make up that she had, and then curled her hair and put it back in a stylish ponytail. When she had finished, she grabbed a jacket and headed downstairs for the awkward goodbye with her mother.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye for a while. Take care of yourself, arasso? Try not to think of appa too much. You'll only become depressed." She gave her mom a slight head nod before giving her a feather light hug before carting all of her things outside and waited for the cab there. She didn't care that it was a bit cold outside, the cool air cleared her thoughts, well most of them anyways. The thought of meeting her soul mate in a mansion full of strangers still scared her though. She didn't know what to expect with the people in the house, whether or not they would all be even remotely like her, or if they would be a bunch of emo slobs buying s**t tons of ice cream and crying about how nobody loves them, yadda yadda. She honestly had no idea, and the thought, just the thought alone of being in a house full of nut jobs made her want to scream. When the cab had finally gotten there, she heard the faint holler of her mother from behind her. When she turned, her mom had tears in her eyes and was waving to her with a wash cloth in her had. "Your mother loves you Ae Cha. Please remember that! Have an amazing time. Those boys don't know what kind of catch if coming to them! Promise me that you'll send me some of your artwork!" A faint smile broadened Ae Cha's face as she nodded and blew a kiss to her mother before putting her bags in the trunk. When she slid in the back seat, she noticed that the cab driver was turned to her. "Where to miss?" "Beojkkoch mansion please." The man nodded, turned on the car engine, and began driving. The ride was at least four hours, so it gave her time to think and nap. The extra time to think nearly got her to chicken out of going, but she stuck to the end and when she arrived, she paid the male and stepped out of the car, sighing as she did so. "This is it. No turning back." She told herself as she got her bags out of the car. When the cab left, Ae Cha just stood there staring at the big, beautiful mansion. The moment her feet touched the marble floor in the interior, her life would change forever.

The inside of this house was even more beautiful than the outside, and she was so lost in the style of the house that she completely bypassed the note that she was supposed to read to figure out the way of the house. She just strolled down the hallway with her two massive suitcases, not having a care in the world about anyone else in the house. She did hear a bit of foreign language, however, which startled her. It sounded more like French than anything, but she had no idea where it was coming from. Whoever was speaking it was very fluent, and from the sound of his voice, very attractive. Turning her attention back to the walls and the beauty of the place, she hardly noticed that male coming down the hallway. He was the culprit; he was the one speaking French. As she continued to walk, she unknowingly collided into him. Shocked, she stumbled backwards and heard something crash to the floor. It was her phone and his. Turning to the male with anger in her eyes, she huffed. "Aish… watch where you’re going, a*****e!" The shock in his eyes would have been funny had she not still been furious with him for causing her phone to fall to pieces. Hopefully it would be fixable otherwise this a** hole would be paying for it. "Mwuh rah goo?" She huffed and folded her arms over her chest. "What, are you hard of hearing? I said watch where you're going, a*****e!" She scoffed and began picking up her things.

"Watch what you say to strangers… babo." Ae Cha froze in mid movement, clenched her jaw and stood up to face the tall, muscular, intimidating male with everything she had. "What... Did you just call me?" She was about ready to throw fists right now, and she didn't want to stand there and take the threats he gave her, but what was she supposed to do? She didn't want to get into political trouble with the guy, and this male obviously had a lot of money, but his arrogance was choking her and she wanted to give him what he deserved. "Musighan yeoja." That was the last straw for her. Ae Cha balled her hands into fists and looked around the hallways for anything to throw at him. When she found a throw pillow sitting on one of the benches, she picked it up and chucked it at him. It hit him on the back of his head with a loud thump. That gave her great joy to do. "Just because I pissed you off does not mean you get to assume that I'm stupid of ignorant. In fact, you know nothing about me, nor will you ever. God dammit, this house if full of a** holes." Sure, the girl was being a bit hypocritical, but she didn't care at that moment. She picked up her phones pieces, her bags and got the hell away from him as fast as she could while stomping and mumbling insults about the man. As she was walking, she noticed a kitchen and quickly made her way inside, leaving her things by the door way. She would need to find her room and a place to put her things eventually. She noticed that there were a few other people in the kitchen with her, but she ignored them, grabbed a bottle of water, and then stomped out. She couldn't get the arrogance of that male out of her head. It would drive her insane.

After this, she found the note by the front door, read it and found out that the rooms were on the second floor. That was where she was headed next. When she found a bed with one room that she liked, she set her things down on the bed and examined the room. It would do, and the sooner she is able to adjust to the sleeping, bed change, the better. Her body hates her when she changes things about it's environment, especially stress. God, she hoped that her interaction with Mr. Assbutt wouldn't ruin her complexion. It's happened before about dumber things. When she exited, she made sure that the French man wasn't around before she shrugged off her coat and put it up on the coat rack. She continued exploring down hallways. When she came across two males who seemed to be familiar with one another, she slowed and got a good look at her face. God, they looked so alike. She had to know if they were related, so she stepped forward in their range of vision and cleared her throat. "Excuse me, I don't mean to intrude, but are you two brothers? You look so alike." The taller male with smaller lips and darker hair turned to her in mid sentence. His eyes looked her up and down and suddenly his eyes changed. What had once been a look of confusion turned to the look of flirtation. "Why yes. Yes we are. I'm Shin Han Sik and this is my brother Eui Tae. You are?" She eyed them both carefully and noticed that the shorter male looked older than Han Sik. "Gyeong Ae Cha. It's a pleasure to meet you both." Her eyes looked the blond male up and down before turning to look Han Sik up and down. "The pleasure is all mine, trust me." A small, golden chuckle left his mouth as he brought one of her hands to his lips and kissed it gently. She blushed a bright crimson and snaked her hand away from him before walking away, but not before saying. "Well you two carry on. I didn't mean to interrupt, I was just curious. Again, it was nice meeting you too." Her face was burning and as she walked away, she heard the male Han Sik yell from behind her, "Let me know if you ever get lonely!" She said nothing and continued walking faster. Well, at least they weren't assholes.

OOC: So I decided to change one thing: Ae Cha will be bunking by herself. God, I am finally getting out her post. Now all that is left is Anthony. Quote me in the OOC if you would like to interact with any of my characters. Kae Lee is the only one who is already with someone.

Hwang Kae Lee, though like many Korean women in Korea in the aspect that she is very sociable, kind hearted, and gentle is also very innocent in the sense that she doesn't know when she's being mis treated. Her friends and or relatives usually have to point it out to her. She hates making others feel bad, which is why in relationships she's never the one to break it off, even if she knows that she's not comfortable. It's just the standard of life that she lives at. Her mother taught her this way, and wanting to become just like her mom, she followed in her footsteps and was always the obedient one in the relationship, with her boyfriend always the dominant one. She always went for the bad boy type too. It was in her blood. Something about that kind of guy turned her on, though that isn't uncommon in the male species. She's dated guys that have seemed kind and gentle and turn out to have a very different side to them when she got closer. She learned that they were very needy and looked for a motherly type of woman, which is what she appeared to be, but in all reality she was nowhere near close to that. Once they learned this about her, they got pissed, and cursed at her, and then they grew furious, and started hitting her. It wasn't an unusual thing for her to have to go to the hospital for bruising or cuts on her body. Luckily, none of her boyfriends hit her on the face, well hard enough to leave a mark anyways.

Aside from her bad luck with boys, Kae Lee is a naturally carefree spirit. The two things that she tends to get worked up about are her love and obsession for male KPOP groups and when men yell at her. Kae Lee had always had an obsession for anything with talent, which is why she was so drawn to KPOP groups. She's naturally talented too so she likes learning new dances and songs to sing and dance too. When one of her friends decided to bring her to a concert for Shinhwa, she decided that their music was pretty good and decided to look them up. Eventually she knew every band member by heart and their positions and then began learning the songs and dances. She was in the Shinhwa phase for a while until DBSK rose to the top charts. They sparked her interest and soon, she was just as obsessed with them as she was with Shinhwa. When more and more new boy bands rose to the top, and she found one of their songs catchy, she would learn the song and the faces, but eventually there was too much to keep up with and she just stopped trying, until she was introduced to Rain (Bi). She fell in love instantly, as do a lot of his fans. When his hit single 'Rainism' came out, she learned all of the words and the dance in less than three week. This was how loyal she was to him. She was also pretty sure that she was one of the firsts to know about the group he was going to create. It was called MBLAQ, and while at the time, she had no idea what they looked like or what spots would be open, she knew that most of them would be as attractive, charasmatic, and talented as their father. This is where the saying, "Like father like son," comes into play. When they debuted, she knew they were going to be a hit, and they all grew on her very quickly, though her favorite would definitely have to be Mir because of his dorky laugh and his husky rapping. She also likes his unique name and face.

The other thing she tends to work up about is when men yell at her. In her earlier years, it wouldn't have bothered her as much as it does now, but because of her abusive past, when ever she comes into a situation where a male starts yelling at her, Kae Lee's eyes start to water, and or she begins to cry and apologizing like mad. This usually calms the males down enough so she can explain herself, but on other occasions it just makes them angrier. At this point, Kae Lee will try to hide until they have calmed down enough to the point where they wont start hitting her. She hates people hitting her, even if it's not hard, or it's just a joke. It scared her because of all of the memories it brings her about her past. Her excuse for people not to touch her would usually be, "Oh, don't get too close. I think I'm coming down with something. You wouldn't want to catch it would you?" or, "Aishh, why hit me? Did I hit you? I'm so sore from working out earlier." Usually, she just let's it slide with a bit of pouting to make the other person feel bad for hitting her.

TIME SKIP ◞ TO HER FIRST BOYFRIEND

When Kae Lee was in high school, she wasn't very popular with the boys. This was because of her glasses, and because she was always a little on the chubby side, but when she graduated, she got a job, was able to afford contacts, and was able to go out to the gym every once or twice a day she slimmed out and was actually very beautiful. Her personality never really changed because she was always so sociable. Even now that she has so many emotional scars, she can't stand being quiet and distant. She always has to be in the center of the action and talk to just about everyone all the time. Her mental state would never let her be anti social. It just wasn't her and it never would be. When she was eighteen, she met this boy who looked like Joon. His name was Han Jin, and surprisingly his nickname was Joon. It was what made him more attractive to her. When they first started dating, he was the perfect gentleman, but as they grew closer, he started getting lazier and more irritable, and to be honest, needy. He was needy for several things, like someone to do his laundry, clean his clothes, even sexually he was very needy. She was okay with it at first because she didn't want to leave him, but after a while it grew tiresome.

When she woke up that morning she was alone. Joon had already gone for work and she had the house to herself. Finally! She woke up as soon as she was wide awake and then showered before slipping into the change of clothes that she had brought over knowing that she would be spending the night. Wrapping her hair up in a messy bun she headed downstairs where she straightened up the couch that they had messed up watching a movie, and then vacuumed before making herself a bowl of cereal for breakfast. When she was finished, she loaded the dishwasher and made rice for dinner later on that night. She wasn't quite sure what they would be having, hopefully something easy, but she knew that Joon would want rice since he wanted it almost every night. When she finished cleaning the counters and moping the floor, she sat down and starting watching one of the drama's that she hadn't finished. It was around one in the afternoon when Joon called her. It was around his lunch time. "Yeobosayo? Ah, oppa is it lunch time already?" She could tell that he was smiling even over the phone by the way he replied 'Yehh.' She informed him that she was glad he called because she wanted to know what he wanted for dinner. He said barbecue and demanded that she be for dessert. Not knowing what to say at that moment, she chuckled and said maybe before letting him go so he could eat.

She began cooking the food, and when she was finished, she cleaned off the counters, and then rested a bit. When the food was ready, she turned it on low so it would stay warm, and then waited for Joon's call to let her know that he was on his way home. When she got no call she figured that he was simply running late, but when she had fallen asleep, woken up a few hours later, and he still wasn't home, she grew worried. An hour later, she had already eaten and was putting the food up when she heard footsteps by the front door. Then she heard grunts and the doorknob jingle. When the person wasn't able to open the door, he began shouting for Kae Lee to let him in. She knew then that it was Joon, and that he had come home drunk. She immediately dropped everything she was doing and ran to the door. She unlocked it, and when the drunk Joon stumbled into the door, she caught him, bringing him to the table. "Oppa, why are you drunk?" He mumbled something that she didn't catch and then asked her to make him some food. Getting out the left over soup she made, she poured a bit of it over some rice and then handed it to him, which he ate very quickly. When he was finished, Kae Lee took his bowl and began washing it. As she was doing so, Joon had gotten up from his chair and positioned himself behind her as he began giving her neck light little kisses and nibbles. "Aish Joon, stop it!" Kae Lee giggled as she squirmed against him, but he didn't listen and instead snaked an arm around her stomach.

Kae Lee had finished her dishes and was just standing there, letting him kiss her because it felt good. His mouth now nibbled on her earlobe as he whispered, "I want you right now." Joon then turned her around and continued kissing her neck. She snaked her arms around his neck and moaned. When he began pushing harder against her and acting nipping her neck, she yelped and tried to push him away. "Oppa, that hurts! Ow!" She pushed him away slightly and he calmed down a bit, but when he began kissing her and tugging on her hair, she frowned and pushed him away. "Not tonight okay? I'm tired." She expected him to comply, but instead, he brought his hand up and slapped her in the face. She was shocked, and when she turned back to her, she had tears in her eyes. Oppa... You... You slapped me. Why. What did I do?" He wasn't hearing a word she said. Shut up Kae Lee. You do as I say!" Before she knew it, he was on her neck, kissing her and groping her again. Kae Lee said nothing else to him for the rest of the night and let him do what he pleased with her, and when he sobered up the next night she talked to him about it. He felt bad and promised never to hit her again, but a few weeks later, he got drunk again and this time, he punched her in the right eye. That was when she decided that he couldn't take him any more and broke it off with him.

TIME SKIP ◞ TO THE MANSION

A while later when she had told her friends and her family about what her boyfriend had done to her, and the men that she chose after him, they realized that she had trouble with picking men. When they found the add for the Beojkkoch (벚꽃) mansion, and before she knew it, her best friend was packing her things and telling her all about the wonderful features of the place. At first she was against it, but she soon began seeing what they saw and she was really looking forward to finding the right one for her. She said her goodbyes and the day of the mansion, she set out. The only thing that she was still concerned about were the people that would be there and what they would be like. There would be twenty females and twenty males, and among them would be a mixture of broken people all looking for the perfect person for them. What if two people found the same person? What if none of them liked any one there? Would one of them have to settle for someone else there? How would that help them? Kae Lee had been so confused about the meaning of the mansion the whole time, even before she started driving there, but it was worse now that she was actually heading there. She wanted desperately to know these answers before she stepped inside, but she was afraid that wouldn't happen. She just hoped that there weren't too many annoying women and the men weren't total jerk-faces.

When she arrived, she realized that she was not the only one there, and that several people had already showed up. She parked her car, got out, and dragged her things inside, when she entered, she noticed a not that was lying on the floor. Someone must have dropped it. She picked it up and read it to herself and realized that it was to everyone staying at the house. It informed them about the restrictions/regulations of the house, the rooming situation and all of the things that the mansion had for them like a gym, a dance studio, and an indoor pool among many of other things. When she had read that fully, she headed upstairs to check out the rooms. She didn't mind rooming with anyone, so she picked one of the empty double bed rooms, set her things down and headed back downstairs to explore. As she walked down the halls, she ran into several people. Some of them were women, whom she waved and greeted nicely to see their reactions, and some of them were men. She smiled, waved, checked them out, and walked away. She was surprised at how many attractive people were in this house. It was nice, and she knew instantly that she was going to enjoy herself here. After a while, she got tired, so she went into the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of water and plopped herself down in one of the chairs in the living room. There in the room sat a man. He was very attractive, just like all of the other men in the house, but this man was different. Instead of looking around like everyone else, he just sat there with his nose in his iPad. "Psst," She whispered to him. He looked up briefly and then looked back down. She did it again, and this time, he put down his iPad and looked fully at her. "Annyeonghaseyo!" She smiled and waved at him, but his expression didn't change. He brought up his iPad to his face again. Kae Lee frowned and tapped his knee. It got his attention once more. "Yah, Mr. Grumpy pants! Smile."

A second later, another figure walking into the room caught Kae Lee's attention and she turned to see who it was. It was, surprise, another attractive male. She smiled as he sat down across from her and waved at her. “How’s it going? I’m Kwang Rae-Hyun and you are…?” His voice was smooth, and just like his face, attractive. Kae Lee liked that and smiled wider, waving at him like he did to her. "Annyeonghaseyo Rae Hyun, I'm Hwang Kae Lee. It's nice to meet you." She bowed politely before sitting straight up again and clearing her throat. "Hey, why are there so many attractive males in this mansion? Do you know? Did they only pick attractive males to screw with my head?" She fanned her face with her hand and smiled brightly at the male before blushing as she realized what she had said, though she didn't take it back because it was true and she didn't regret saying it one bit.

Shin Han Sik didn't have much to look forward to in life. Sure he had a adoring mother who lived to bring him contentment in life, he had a father who brought home the big bucks every month so the bills would be paid and still had time to play catch with him, he had a brother who looked up to him with admiration and respect, but he wasn't satisfied with all of that. He wanted to be the finest in whatever he did, in fact, that's what he endeavored to do every day. When Han Sik was younger, he wasn't exactly the most handsome boy in Korea. He was heavy regardless of what he looks like today. He was also a lenient, sincere hearted dupe! He let all of his class mates take his food and snip his toys because he wanted them to be pleased. When it came to womenfolk, he let them push him around as well for the reason that he didn't want to rude and selfish, which he would later turn out to be, but more on that when that section gets there. Because of this, conversely, the women always pushed him away, called him annoying, ignorant titles, took his belongings, and tossed him aside like he was yesterday’s news. How could he not have seen this kind of conduct you ask? Well, in the start since he was striving for perfection he figured that if everyone came to him for things and asked him for favors that meant that he was well enjoyed by all. This was not exclusively true, and because of his false intelligence, he was often times castoff and never spoken to again.

He didn't have many friends this way. When Han Sik began to see this, he came to the unquestionable conclusion that he needed to change. The first thing that he altered was his appearance. As soon as he was in his teenager years and his father let him walk about by himself, he went to the gym and slimmed down quite a bit. Truly, he was rather eye-catching once he had done so, not that he was ever horrendous, but it helped to appeal to the women. Later that same year, he asked from place to place of the people that he knew in his younger years and questioned them why they were pleasant towards him or associated to him. They told him that it was because of what he had. His food was always delightful and his toys were always the most gleaming. This surprised him. He had found out that he was being used for his possessions. He never truly had any friends. So, he altered his attitude towards others. He stopped being a sucker simply by sticking up for himself, eating his own food, playing with his own things, basically not sharing a thing. It worked for a while and eventually he didn't have to be as self-regarding. People got the insinuation. After this, he improved the way he represented himself around ladies. He was remoter towards them, more attentive, and more mindful of their tricks and games, eventually; he learned his own set of knockouts and regularly tested them on women. By the time he was sixteen, he was called the star "player" but not because he was good at sports, no. It was because he wrapped women around his digits, slept with them, and then threw them aside as if they meant nothing when he was done with them. It was retaliation, but only he knew this.

When he graduated from high school, his reputation ceased to change. He was still the same "man whore" - as some women put it as when he was fresher. However, a couple of things did change, for the better. He was able to stay out all night, buy intoxicating drinks - because let's face it; a night out on the town is never the same without alcohol to improve things. Han Sik was able to get women easier because his pick up line was no longer, "Hey, I'm finally passing English and I'm able to go out again, want to rent a movie and come over to my place? Admission is a lap dance." He was now sly and better outfitted. Instead of a pair of shapeless shorts, a explicit tee with English inscription on it, and a fashionable snapback, he now wore expensive suits that his father had given him money for, though he thought that he wanted suits for job conferences. What a deprived, imprudent man his father was. The only thing about his old life that he desired to never have changed was his close relationship with his brother. Even though his brother is better constructed and much more mature looking than Han Sik is, Han Sik is far more mature when it comes to life. His brother got the nick name "Aegyo King" for a reason, and it wasn't because he was charming with women. In fact, if Han Sik recalls correctly, the last time he heard the words "I love you" from a women, he pretty much ran screaming in the other direction. While Han Sik isn't much more adapted to saying or hearing those three, life changing words, he does respond better. Normally it's a small kiss on the lips, or a head pat, or a mutter like, "Yeah sure you do baby, now take your clothes off! Ppalli!"

The highlight of Han Sik's day was when his brother would call out, "Hyung, look what I made at school today!" or, "Hyung, I got an A on my math test today! That’s awesome right?" This was what he heard when he got home from school each day. Even though Han Sik is only three years older than his brother, his maturity level is at least five years older, if not more. His brother has a habit of sticking to being a kid, and despite the fact it'd always great to be young, every now and then he’d wish that Eui Tae would just mature. If he ever does decide to and wants to live the good life like Han Sik has been, then Han Sik will give up all to mentor the fellow. Not that Eui Tae is bad with picking up women; in fact he has helped his older brother in many circumstances. You could say that Han Sik is the perfect wingman. For one, he is entirely faithful to Han Sik and two; he doesn't try to steal the women that he is trying to take home. This makes Eui Tae the faultless wingman. Han Sik loved the consideration that his brother gave him, and they've always had an adjacent relationship. The only thing that they clashed about was about women. That’s peculiar right? Well Han Sik finds women to be just playing possessions that he can handle and toss away once they get old. Eui Tae, however, on no occasion having been in a relationship thinks of women as human beings with emotional states and all that. A bit cheesy for Han Sik sure, but he respects that his brother has his own views. It's Eui Tae that urges Han Sik to change.

TIME SKIP ◞ TO HIS MOVING DAY

It was Han Sik's twentieth birthday and it was correspondingly the day that he was going to move out of his parents’ house. He had already bought a condo in Seoul, and he had already found a roommate that was alacritous to pay rent and was rationally clean. The roommate's name is Gang Nae Rang, and he was a fairly decent man unlike Han Sik, but more on him later. It was about nine thirty when his mom knocked on his door calling gently, "Han Sik-ah! Wake up. Breakfast is ready." He complained, but slumped out of bed virtually immediately because his mother’s food was too good to resist. Han Sik dragged on a clean shirt and a pair of plaid micro fleece, navy and white lounge bottoms before opening his stiff, wooden door and heading down the stairs. The aroma of his favorite dishes such as Bulgolgi, Soondae, Hweh Dupbop, and Japchae flew around his nose bringing a smile to his already lit up face. ”Morning eomma!" He said slithering past his mother at the same time as planting a kiss of her gentle, wrinkly face. "Yah, is Eui Tae not up yet?" Sitting down, he looked about but saw zilch of his newly golden haired brother. "Ani, I think he's still in the shower." His father, who had looked up from his newspaper for the first time said before sticking his nose back in the midpoint of the paper, burbling small criticisms about the government and such. Han Sik never paid much care to what the man said. As his mother appeared with a glass of milk on one side of him and a big bowl of steamed, sticky rice on the other his feet shook in eagerness. His mother's food always tasted the finest.

"Morning hyung!" Han Sik caught this as he tasted his milk. He turned in the direction of the sound and gave his striking brother a grin and a wave before gesturing him to take a seat next to him. The younger male was still wringing out his damp hair. "Oh, did you get a haircut yesterday?" Han Sik glanced at Eui Tae as he asked this and bobbed his head. "Yes. I wasn't going to at first, but then I thought, what the hell! New life, new look!" It was true, but it wasn't like his hair was that much shorter than it initially was. It was cut cleaner this time. When all of the sides were set round the four spots on the table his mother set the serving dishes full of food in the middle and then sat down. They said grace, and before it was even over Han Sik's face was drenched in Kimchi and Japchae sauce. A smile crossed his satisfied face as he looked at his mom. He swallowed briefly before piling additional food into his mouth. He knew that this was going to be the last meal of his mother’s for a while, and he wasn't going to let any of it go to waste. "Eomma, your food is so good! Promise me that you'll visit me on weekends and make me some food. Your son will go hungry if you don't!" His mother shook her head and smacked his cheeks gently. She told him that she would only if she had the time to. She was actually looking for a job as a cook near their house as a street vendor and she didn't know when she'd have off. "Okay eomma. I get it." Of course the understanding of his mother’s situation still led to a glower and more foodstuffs being shunted into his mouth, but his mother knew that he understood.

"Eat up, my son!" He didn't cease to listen and continued to stuff his face. After he was done Han Sik stood, rounded up all of the plates, and positioned them all in the sink to do dishes. His brother was busy cleaning up the wrappers and wiping off the table and counter. Han Sik bumped the males shoulder with a simper on his face. Eui Tae smiled, but the smile was unhappy. He knew that Eui Tae didn't want his brother to leave the house. He didn't want to leave either, but he knew that his life hung in the balance here; he needed freedom. "Cheer up Eui Tae! Hyung will visit a lot! You'll see me all the time; in fact, you'll see me so much that you'll get sick of me!" He disheveled the male’s hair before turning back to the dirty dishes at hand. He whistled a Korean folk song as he worked to speed up the time. When he finished he gave his mother a kiss on the cheek, gave his brothers shoulder a pat, and headed back upstairs to finish the packing that he left the night before. Exhaling, the young male sat at the edge of his bed and gazed around his nearly bare room. It was a gloomy sight, but he couldn't just sit there in repentance about it. The moving truck would be there in an hour and there was still a great deal to do. Han Sik stood and combed his hair carefully before packing his brush and his cologne. He figured that he would need to use it in the morning which is why he left it to pack for last. Han Sik also seized a clean tee shirt that he hadn't dressed in since he was in school and flung that over his under shirt. He wasn't dressing to impress. Well, not yet anyhow.

Han Sik brought down numerous boxes with the help of his brother and his father, and when most of his things were in the truck he set off back into the house for his adieus. First he hugged his dad who suppressed several tears but did not sob like his mother was. He embraced his mother next, and she smothered him. "Okay mom, I get it. I'll visit a lot!" Unfortunately, he knew that this was not accurate. Bus tickets from here to Seoul were expensive and he didn't know if he would be able to afford it. Eventually, he made it to his brother. The look on his face broke Han Sik's heart. "Eui Tae, stand up straight, and wipe away those tears. You have to be strong for hyung! If you cry I won't want to leave." He gently tapped the male under the chin before smiling gently. He knew that it wasn't Eui Tae's intent to make his brother feel corrupt, just like it wasn't Han Sik’s aim to leave his brother behind. These were just events that befell because they needed to. "Eui Tae, be strong! Take care of eomma for me! Eat double the helpings for me, arasso? You have to eat my helpings too! Don't let mom's food go to waste!" He gently tapped Eui Tae on the head before hugging him tight and exhaling softly. Just as his feet touched the ground outside, Han Sik rotated round with tears developing in his eyes and waved at the household that he was parting for the first time with a smile on his face. Turning again, Han Sik leaped into the moving van and drove off looking back infrequently until he couldn't see the house any longer. It was hopeless to cry over a family that he would most likely see every other weekend so he wiped away the tears brimming in his eyes and sighed deeply overturning his emotions. From that day on, his life would be a party.

TIME SKIP ◞ TO A NIGHT AT THE CLUB

It had been a few days since Han Sik had moved out of his parents place and he had settled in Seoul. His condo was bigger than he had expected, and his roommate was a serious catch. For one, the male was a humble man unlike Han Sik, so he didn't have to worry about his roommate stealing his women. Another thing was that he was a very hygienic man who liked to cook. Han Sik had someone just like his mother living with him. It was a quality that he observed for in roommates; in fact, it was the first thing that he had requested. Only the ones that qualified were the ones that were able to audition so to speak. The man’s name was Gang Nae Rang, and the man was fairly attractive. He had a heavy Busan accent which Han Sik couldn't stand, but other than that they were going to get fairly close over the years. It was the first night that he didn't have to worry about unpacking and such so he decided to go out and rejoice. He would've invited Nae Rang, but the man had to work the night shift that night. Han Sik was left alone, but he didn't mind. He did his best work while he was unaccompanied. So, Han Sik put on his best suit, developed his hair up, put on this foreign cologne called "Joop" that the women seemed to love, and set out on the town.

It started out like every night that we went out on the town only this time he didn't have a curfew and he didn't have to answer to anyone why he wasn't going to come home. His roommate might wonder a bit, but Han Sik seriously doubted that he would push him about staying out all night. Han Sik arrived at a decently popular club called ‘Club FF’ in style. He had borrowed Nae Rang’s car for the night because he scarcely minded. It was a yellow Camaro. Han Sik was allowed to use it as long as no one other than he and the bimbo that he was going to pick up got anywhere near it. Upon entering with the direction of the body guard - whom he had to pay abundantly to get in before the long line of waiting persons Han Sik skimmed the dance floor. No, he didn't want to dance, at least not yet. He was too clear-headed, maybe after a little alcohol swamped his system. Han Sik, presuming that the festivities should start soon made his way to the bar where he sat down by a very stunning group of ladies whom shot his glimpses as he glanced towards them. He smirked and looked to the bartender ordering a bottle of soju. His order came out right away and along with the bottle came a shot glass. Afore he opened the bottle he turned to the group of ladies with a sweet, innocent looking smile. "Would any of you care to drink with me?" He got a few smiles and head nods, but only two women came forward and took the stools on each side of him. "What are your names ladies?" He asked them with a sound of mild inquisitiveness in his voice. "Dan Mae Myeong," One of them said with a alluring eye smile. "And you?" He asked the other much softer spoken, yet much lovelier woman. "Bang Dae Sa" He bobbed his head at her and ordered two more shot glasses. When they arrived, she removed the bottle lid and dispensed the alcohol to the border of the glass. "Cheers ladies." He poured as he murmured this and downed his glass watching as the females did as well. They handled alcohol astonishingly well though the quieter one already seemed a bit drunk. He grinned at them and filled their glass once more.

After a few more glasses the louder female stumbled off muttering something about how the government is screwing them all. He was now alone with his desired of the two females. She was tipsy as well and was eyeing around the dance floor. He took this into deliberation and positioned a finger under her chin bringing her attention back to him. "Hm?" She said, he grinned and gestured his head towards the dance floor. She nodded and took his hands from her face before gripping one firmly with her own. He stood and drew her along as she did this. "Gaja," He told her and directed her to the dance floor. Han Sik glided his way into the crowd while still keeping a hand on the female’s waist pulling her close so that she wouldn't be misplaced in the sea of people. Once he found a space that they could contented to dance in he turned his partner around so that her chest was pushed against his. He liked the way her slim body felt against his; it was warm, curved, and he would be lying if he didn't say a bit sweaty. It was an erotic sweat though. As the songs continuously changed the pace in which they were grinding against each other changed as well. Soon, Han Sik was so turned on that he ultimately slowed down his swaying and pulled the lady even closer to him than beforehand. There was no space amongst their bodies, and no room for moving. She had taken the hint and sealed her arms around his back clutching his shoulders and drew him closer. Han Sik slid a hand under her open backed dress to feel her warm skin. She trembled triggering a grin on his lips. Tilting his face closer to her Han Sik inhaled in her scent. His face grew closer and closer to hers until there was no room left and his mouth fell down hard on hers. Before long what had initially meant to be a sweet embrace turned into the two of them making out on the dance floor. They weren't the only ones doing this, though. There were several drunken couples just like them who were too lazy to get a room. He'd be lying, however, if he said he hadn't seen worse. "Want to get out of here?" He muttered gruffly as he broke the kiss after a while. She complied and he led her cautiously off the dance floor. They threw down another bottle of Soju at a small, yet shockingly cheap restaurant just a block away from the club. He would have to grab a cheap hotel near the club as well though because of his car. He required that the car stay in good shape.

When he and the girl got upstairs to the room it wasn't long until they were smooching again. To be honest, he didn't know how long it was that they were kissing when he finally drew her dress up over her thighs. He didn't pull it all the way off yet because he wanted the instant to last a bit longer. She tasted good, and the feel of her body pushed against his was more than sufficient. She, however, didn't feel the same way and was starting to become antsy. Her fingers tiptoed under the jacket of his suit and he tossed it off. A moment later her hands found their way up beneath his shirt and he threw that off too. He was left in a tank top and a pair of pants. Only when she started to yank at his belt did he pull her dress up over her body, softly stroking her warm skin with his hands. He threw off his tank top and before long she was sprinkling kisses all down his chest and neck leaving several love marks. He left a few marks for her too before smirking and throwing himself over her with a naughty smile on his face.

Han Sik awoke in an unaccustomed bed. He was bare, and his clothes were dispersed all around the room. Looking to his left he noticed a female curled to his chest with her legs draped around his. She was naked as well. A smirk crossed his face as he kissed her forehead, her eyes, her nose, and then finally one tender kiss on her mouth before soundlessly slithering out of bed without wakening her. He drew on his boxer shorts, his tank top, and then the rest of his clothes before brushing down his hair and inaudibly slipping out of the room. He didn't feel a globule of fault for leaving the girl in the room unaccompanied. She would figure out for herself just what transpired last night if she even remembered. With any luck she wouldn't wake for another hour or so, so that he would be able to effectively sneak away. Han Sik withdrew from the hotel room and descended down into the main lobby where he gave the clerk a check for the bill and then left. He would get breakfast before picking up his car and driving home. He would undoubtedly head to the gym later. Hopefully he wouldn't run into the lady anyplace. Han Sik doesn't like responding to uncomfortable questions.

TIME SKIP ◞ TO THE DAY OF THE MANSION

It had been a few years since Han Sik had moved out on his own and into his own condo in Seoul. He had his roommate had become best friends, though living with each other for two years and they still haven't gone out on the town with each other did seem pretty pathetic. Neither of them was afraid to admit this. They had planned to sometime, but all of their plans kept getting abandoned so they ultimately just stopped trying. Sure, they went out and got drinks with each other, but they never went out to eat, went to clubs, or hooked up with womenfolk together. Han Sik didn't mind because he didn't like sharing his women, and he definitely did not like his women getting stolen from him which was never a problem with Han Sik because he never went out with anyone but his brother. He and his brother still went out together once a month, if not more. Now that Eui Tae was out of school the man could visit Han Sik for weeks on end if he wanted though he rarely did. Still, it was nice to see the male and it was nice to get together with him. He was always the luckiest when his brother was around. However, it didn't look like he and Eui Tae would be spending much time together because of his roommate. Nae Rang had signed him up to attend this mansion thing. To be honest, Han Sik had no idea what it even was, but he had read the pamphlet and it cited something about "a place for the broken to come and settle" whatever that meant. It was for people with relationship problems. He didn't see why he had to attend because he didn't have any problems. He didn't have any relationships to begin with, so what problems would there be?

The day's totaled down and he found out that he wouldn't be alone in this mansion. His brother was going too. That was the only thing that Han Sik had to look forward too. He had no idea what kind of people would be attending or if there would be any pretty women. If there aren't any pretty women then Han Sik will assuredly go insane. Han Sik is a very shallow man so if there aren't any slender, pretty faced women at the mansion then he will break out and run to the nearest club or home for that matter. There are lots of pretty women in Seoul. Han Sik was most looking to spend time with his brother, however, because a little brotherly bonding never ceased to make him smile. Who didn't love a little acquainted time with someone you loved in a house full of strangers? He incessantly cursed his roommate for signing him up to the annoying mansion. Why did he even have to go? What was the point of it all? He could get together with a bunch of stupid people with hurt feelings and a broken heart? What was the fun in that? The people in this house would drive him crazy. Han Sik didn't see the point, but he was still planning on going because it was a new experience and he thought, "What the hell? As long as they have alcohol and a gym I'll be fine!" even if all he did other than workout was drink, eat and sleep. Deep down Han Sik was craving an adventure which he hoped would come to him in the cherry blossom mansion. If not, he would be wasting his time but it would be a great vacation from work and bills and his sad, pathetic life in general though his lifestyle with women was extremely remarkable to him. That was one thing he wanted never to change.

As the day of his retreat to the mansion arrived Han Sik grew more and more irritated. He in no way now was looking forward to this trip. He even changed his mind about numerous times but decided that his brother would need him more than ever so he began packing. The duration of the first trip out of many was three months so he took out two of this largest suit cases, packed them full of his undergarments, his pajamas, his comfortable clothing for when he didn't feel like dressing up, and then the other was his bathroom essentials. He then packed fourteen of his best suits that were still in their safety wrapping, and would gently placed them in the back seat of his own Camaro which he had bought a few months back when he had begun to fall in love with Nae Rang's. It was premature in the morning when he had started packing up, even a bit earlier than his roomie liked to wake up, but by the time he was done he could smell the lingering odor of grilling meat and Japchae. "Hyung!" Han Sik called out tenderly whilst descending down the steps afore sliding into the spacious kitchen and plopped himself down on the counter. "Make the glass noodles extra stick for me, arasso? And cut the pork thick." Han Sik seized a glass from the cabinets and tipped a decent amount of orange juice from the container left on the counter before setting it away. "Arasso Han Sik-ah!" Nae Rang chimed in after wiping his face. "Now do the dishes so that there isn't a lot after breakfast." Han Sik grumbled but obeyed and slithered himself behind the cooking, maternal male and began humming a familiar Korean folksong while drawing on the mid length, pink rubber gloves that his mother had him box from home. It was a bit humiliating yes, but they worked better than any other gloves he had ever used so he never whined about wearing them; in fact he was very appreciative that his mother had let him bring them. They were a continuous reminder of home and of familiarity, plus he detested touching dirty dishes and getting the gross filth on his hands. No thank you!

When the dishes were done and the food was finished Han Sik set two plates on the table as well as two bowls of rice, a plate of lettuce, and two glasses for soju. He also set down the chopsticks and the spoons. While he was doing this Nae Rang carried out the Japchae, piled most of it on Han Sik’s plate and then brought out the soup that Han Sik didn’t know he made and then conveyed out the protein. It was a mixture of beef, pork, and chicken from what Han Sik had seen, but whatever it was, Han Sik knew that his roommate out did himself today. A smile formed on Han Sik's mouth as he gawked at the older male who until then hadn't took a seat. "What," he asked the youthful male "Didn't you know that I would spoil you? You're leaving today; don't you deserve a home cooked meal?" Han Sik nodded and without saying a word began to eat keeping his eyes down on his plate. After a while of quietness Han Sik wiped his face with his napkin and rested back on his chair. "Hyung, won't you miss me?" Han's Sik's strategy to get Nae Rang to make him stay was in order. "What gives you that idea? Don't you know how much easier my life would be without you?" "Rude hyung, just rude! But what do you mean by easier?" His roommate emptied his throat as he loaded the used plates on top of another, took the silverware and placed them on top before standing upright and entering the kitchen.

"Well, for one, there would be a whole lot less dishes and I wouldn't have to cook as much! Let's see, there's also the laundry that I do, I would only have to do half of it, and your pesky suits! I hate ironing and yet everyday it's the same, 'Hyung, have you finished ironing my suit yet? Aish, not too much heat otherwise the fabric will burn! be careful with my baby, blah, blah, blah.' You nag me Han Sik, that's why you have to get the hell out of the house for a bit and learn to live on your own, arasso?" What was Han Sik supposed to say to that other than, "But the rent, you'll have to pay double won't you?" Han Sik began to bring the pots to the sink as he wiped off the counters, cleans the stove, and the oven. "Ani, the agreement in the form I signed says that if you go away, I will be paid full compensation for what you normally bring home. I'll be fine!" A lip curl shaped on Han Sik's mouth. Man they really have thought of everything, he thought to himself as he took out the mop and started cleaning the floor. This was the normal routine for the mornings only there wasn't as much food. "Arasso hyung, I'll go, but if I'm stuck in a house full of nut cases I'm coming straight home." Nae Ran murmured something like "Nutcases? You mean people who are worse than you? How can that be?" But Han Sik hadn’t caught all of it. Han Sik jerked the back of the man’s knee with his foot as he left the kitchen to go get ready for work. In the meantime, Han Sik was left unaccompanied to think and finish packing. He showered to get the smell of food from his skin and hair before suiting up in a chic gray, Tommy Hilfiger suit, with side vents; notched lapel; and kissing buttons on sleeves. It was his lucky suit. He put a pair of glossy black dress shoes before shaping up his hair in a sophisticated up do. He looked like a movie star, which was what he was going for. "Bingo," he said to himself as he flashed a wink in the mirror before draping his suits on his back and took them down stairs to his car.

”Hyung, I’m leaving. Come say goodbye, or else!” Han Sik called out as he thrusted his 4G phone into his pants pocket. He caught a muffled reply before noisy footsteps coming down the steps. ”Arasso, arasso I’m coming. Aish,” Nae Ran stopped and beheld him before slapping Han Sik roughly on the shoulder. ”You be good, ya hear?” ”Good? When am I not good? I’m always good!” Nae Range eyeballed the male with distrust before shaking his head. ”Well I’ll see you off, but you’d better get going otherwise I’ll be late!” Han Sik complied and trailed the male outside. ”Have a good day at work hyung!” The male waved him away as Han Sik walked in the direction of his car. ”Have a safe trip, and try to stay at the mansion, okay? It’s what's best for you!” It was Han Sik’s turn to dismiss the male’s comment. As Han Sik slipped into the car and revolved down the window so that as he turned on the car he could wave at his roomie. ”Annyeong!” They both called out simultaneously. Han Sik took off, blasting American music as he did so. It was a while after he left for the mansion and he was so into the music that he had missed his turn. When he backtracked and headed down that road he could by now see the lights of the mansion. It was around noon when he left the house so it was nearly four in the afternoon so it was already getting dark. He sighed as he drew near the structure and put the car in park. Upon getting out, he skimmed around the parking lot. ”Damn, that is one big house!” He muttered to himself as he stood and slammed the car door shut. Han Sik then opened the door behind him and dragged out his suits before rambling to the trunk and dragging out his bags.

As he entered the house, he realized that he was the first one to arrive. He came to this conclusion because the lights were dim in the house. There were but three lights on in the lobby alone, but even in the low lighting, he could see how amazing the house really was. It was large, and he was sure that if he broke even one light in the house, he would be owing the house at least $100,000. Han Sik would be sure to stay away from any thing that looked too expensive. As he searched around the house, he noticed that the place had an indoor, and outdoor pool, but since it was winter time, the outdoor pool, obviously wasn't open. He would definitely be spending a lot of time in the gym. It would be a free pass to show off his candy abs and watch the ladies strut around in little to no clothing, that is, if any of them were even worth looking at. When he came back into the lobby, he found a card tapped to the inside of the door. He grabbed it and read it carefully. It stated that there were rooms on the second floor. The male rooms were on the right side and the female's rooms were on the left. Each wing had two bathrooms and twelve rooms each. Jees, how many people were supposed to be here? The card also stated that there were six rooms with one bed, and six rooms with two. The rooms with two beds were meant to share. Han Sik had never shared a room when he was younger, and he wasn't going to start now. He picked the first empty, one bed room that he saw, set his things down inside, and left. He couldn't wait to see what else this mansion had. He also wanted to meet new people, and he couldn't wait until he brother arrived, but it would be a while until then and he needed to quench his curiosity, so he set off down one of the many hallways to see what he could, and explore.

In Tak was having a horrible time. He wished to death that his father hadn’t requested his presence because he never really liked the dinners to begin with and now that Rae Ah was here… Well, he wasn’t quite sure why he didn’t like her, but the fact that she was sitting in front of him was making him fidget like crazy. He was having a hard time because he couldn’t look up so he usually focused on his father when he spoke, occasionally nodding in agreement and or shaking his head yes or no to the questions the male asked him. At one point, however, he slipped and looked forward, straight into the eyes of Rae Ah. She sucked in a breath and he quickly averted his eyes clearing his throat at he did so. Why was it so uncomfortable to look at her? He never had these problems with other women like he did with Rae Ah, and he’d spent most of his life seeing her every day, though he usually didn’t pay attention to her. As his father gathered Rae Ah’s attention as he asked the two of them if they went to the same school, In Tak nodded in agreement as Rae Ah answered for them. It was unlike his father to pry at anybody’s life, but In Tak let it slide figuring that Rae Ah’s parents were important costumers to his dad.

”Hm, so do you know each other?” Again his dad was prying. He eyes his father with a warning glance hoping he had seen it before nearly chugging down his water. When the waiter came around, he requested another. “We’re not friends but we are casual acquaintances if that’s what you mean.” That was a little extensive seeing as In Tak had only really noticed the girl today, but he went along with it. “Oh how do you know each other?” That was a simple question that In Tak was willing to answer had Rae Ah not before him. Their answers were the same; however, she was far more enthusiastic about it. “Through Jae Hwa oppa.” Her smile creaped him out as he glanced quickly up at her so he quickly looked back down and took a sip of his drink. He’d wished that he would be more prepared for this dinner, and he almost wished that he had decided to blow it off to spend the day with Ka Young. It sure would be far less awkward with her at the table, but his father didn’t like her so she never really was around. “Ah Jae Hwa is a close friend of the family, you two must run in the same social circle then.” In Tak nodded along with Rae Ah not sure what to say at the time. “So Rae Ah are you single? You know my son is too.” In Tak stared at his father in shock and anger. Where had he gotten that question and how dare he ask it. ”Dad! That’s enough…” Before long though Rae Ah answered him. In Tak simply rolled his eyes and looked around the restaurant as Rae Ah’s parents began bragging about her. He had honestly had enough, but instead of getting up and storming off like he wanted to, he sat there quietly like he was actually listening.

“If you’re trying to get us to date each other we won’t,” In Tak abruptly looked up as she said this because he honestly did not expect her to be so bold. “Why not Rae Ah? You two seem like a wonderful match,” Where in the hell did his father get so much balls to push questions like these. In Tak in a fit of anger pried his eyes from Rae Ah and to his dad, glaring hard at the older yet seemingly less mature male. ”Dad, I said that’s enough already! Give it a break. I see what you’re doing here, and it’s not going to work.” Right after he was done saying this, however, Rae Ah spoke causing him to pry his angered eyes off of his father and at her. His eyes turned emotionless as he stared at her. “Because he’s not my type, I’m not his type and quite frankly I don’t have time for a relationship.” The words stung him in a way that he didn’t even know. What did she mean he wasn’t her type? He was every woman’s type! That insulted him right down to his core. His integrity felt wounded. He sneered as he looked down to his lap, his eyes no longer wanting to look in her direction. When the food came he shot a polite smile to the waitress and picked up his chop sticks beginning to eat. It was as he was filling his mouth with rice and beef that she began speaking in English to her mother. She must not have known that he was fluent in English and could actually understand every word that she was saying. "Why is he not your type dear you two look like you'd be lovely together and In Tak seems like a perfect gentleman." He scoffed. Of course he was being a gentleman. What else would he be? As if he would be anything else. "Because mother he is the opposite of a gentleman, he's also an arrogant jerk. I'd never date someone like him. Honestly when are you going to learn that trying to set me up won't work. What is it you have to gain from this so called union? Seriously mother I'm getting sick of this." In Tak looked up just briefly and glared. Why was she judging him, because of what happened in the library? No honestly, how childish can she get?

"Rae Ah that's not at all appropriate." Damn right it wasn’t, though she probably still didn’t know that he could understand the two of them. He kept him mouth shut instead of blowing up in Rae Ah’s face like he wanted. "Neither is forcing me to dinners like this." He could see how she felt really because he was practically forced to this dinner as well, but he felt no sympathy for her because he was quite honestly fed up with her at the moment. ”Please excuse me, I need to use the ladies room.” She said this as she stood and walked away from the very awkward and very uncomfortable dinner table. He envied her. "Rae Ah you forgot your purse." He heard her mother call after her, but he didn’t much care or pay attention until his father elbowed him. In Tak slowly looked up to the male with distain in his eyes. ”What?” He snapped coldly, but it didn’t seem to faze the motive in his father’s eyes and heart. ”Yah, go bring her the purse. She’ll be really grateful.” As if In Tak cared; he simply scoffed and looked away from his father wiping his hands and face on the napkin in front of him. ”Don’t be a brat In Tak, get up and bring it to her. Now!” In Tak curled his lip in disgust at his father but got up shortly after wiping his hands and snatched the purse from the table with irritation in his movements. Luckily he was able to catch up to Rae Ah before she went to the bathroom so that he didn’t have to wait for her to exit. When he was close enough behind her to hear he stopped in his tracks. ”Hey, melodramatic brat. This yours? Seems you left it at the table. Your mom thought you may want it.” In Tak twirled the little clutch purse in his hands as he spoke perfect English before smirking and looking up to the tall, pretty female. ”Think fast princess.” He threw the clutch at her and once she caught it, he turned and began to walk away with his hands in his pockets. He found pleasure in making her angry.

Jung- Keun, fully aware of Wols thoughts and intentions to get Chae Rin alone in a room stayed closely behind her, or as close as he could be without scaring the girl that he had just met a couple of days ago. ”Oh… No, I should be fine.” This was her response to his question about Wol making her feel uncomfortable. It didn’t make him feel any better and of course he couldn’t pry into her mind to see if she was telling the truth or not because their powers were useless against Chae Rin. It was odd, and JK desperately wanted to know what was so different about her, but he couldn’t do that if she was so freaked out that she didn’t trust anyone. It was all because of the little stunt Wol pulled in the dance room by touching her. He was glad that she didn’t like Wol, however, and kept that inside his mind. Finally, a girl that wasn’t drooling over the maknaes of the group; it was refreshing. It was a while after they arrived and Chae Rin walked around the room a bit. He assumed this was because she was trying to shake Wol’s gaze. She wanted to be comfortable with her cousins but his stare grew more intense as she grew farther and farther away from Jung- Keun. He knew that the safest place for the girl was by him but he wanted her to be happy and he didn’t want to push her being around him if she didn’t want to be.

After a while he realized that she had stopped trying to get away from him and actually just stayed near him. She must have realized that Wol was more cautious around JK. They talked for a bit; mainly small talk, but they really didn’t talk much about their performance. Neither of them had any ideas, but he was sure that one of them would eventually get an idea. After a while, she excused herself and entered the kitchen. She thought she was alone, but he followed her with his ears in case Wol followed her, he would need to make sure that she was safe. She was alone for about a second until he heard footsteps enter. At first he thought that it was Wol wanting to get her alone, but once she spoke he was at ease. ”Oh. Hello, Jisang!” He exhaled and looked around the living room careful not to stare at Oh Han Ni who was singing a beautiful English song. She was quite talented; no wonder Ji Sang took great interest in her. ”So, uh… what’s the deal with Wo—I mean Joon Su? Is he always this creepy? Or is it just a thing with new people?” He wanted to warn Ji Sang to be careful about what he said, but he – Ji Sang was the leader and he knew how to handle the situation without giving too much away.

”I’m so sorry about him. He just… seems to like you. A lot. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing… but it kind of is… Just… be careful around him, okay? Don’t spend too much alone time with him. In fact, I’d avoid it if I were you.” It surprised him how sincere and worried Ji Sang sounded, but he was grateful. JK would have warned her about it, but with her already iffy about him just showing up at her house and letting his drunk brother stay with her drunk cousin, he figured that telling her what to do would be ridiculous. He could sense fear in her and it made him rigid but he stayed but and acted as if everything was fine. ”Wait… why should I avoid being alone with him?” ”Just do it, okay?” He didn’t give her much time to sit and think about her question by herself, and as he answered the male left with a bottle of water in his hand. ”Thanks Ji Sang,” JK said to the male through thoughts before looking down at his hands as he twiddled his thumbs. Chae Rin approached him from behind and he pretended not to notice for the sake of what she was trying to do. When she spoke, he stood straighter and titled his head back so that he heard her better.

”Can we go somewhere else? I feel like we’d have an easier time talking that way… That, and Wol is really making me uncomfortable.” He knew that deep down inside she was afraid of Wol she just didn’t want to be alone with JK, or anyone other than her cousins for that matter which is why he only offered that they go somewhere else, and he didn’t push it, but now that she was asking he would go with her. ”Sure, where do you want to go?” He noticed Mai Rin mouthing something to Chae Rin, which only took him a second to understand. He nodded to himself and motioned to her with his head in the direction of the hall way. ”Lead the way.” JK said this while stepped back and around Chae Rin giving her space to walk in front of him. He knew the way because he could see it with his enhanced vampire eyes, but he didn’t want Chae Rin or Mai Rin for that matter to thin that he had ever been in this house other than today when he was invited.

Once they were in the room, JK shut the door behind him and sat down in the nearest chair available. He made sure that Chae Rin had a chair first before he sat down so he didn’t seem rude and then turned to her with an apologetic smile on his face. ”Sorry for my brothers. They come off a bit… Intense, but I assure you that neither of them mean any harm, at least one of them doesn’t.” He mumbled the last part of his sentence so that he wouldn’t scare her or worry her and then stretched out his arms over his head before fixing his buttoned down shirt. ”So, about the performance.. I noticed that you are a very skilled dancer, yes? We could do dancing if that’s what your most comfortable with. I’m a fairly good dancer as well, but I am also capable of singing if you have anything in mind. Your thoughts?” He realized he was rambling so he stopped, took a breath and then looked to Chae Rin for her replies.
