Ok, well, I have four main elements I'd like to use. C:
So maybe each kingdoms for those elements are isolated from one another?
Say, the Air Kingdom is located far above the planet, on floating islands
(because those are really cool, fufu)
The Fire Kingdom could be placed underground, in a vast cavern filled with magma
The Water Kingdom could be on the ocean floor
And the Earth Kingdom could outstretch in a old forest filled with giant trees

Perhaps the current kings and/or queens of these Kingdoms wish to unite the elemental plains through means of marriage?
Or perhaps that can be a cover for a more sinister motive.

anyways, as for the hidden motives, I think the natural fear
of combining the lands would be a great! I mean, the parents
fear what the lands would look like if it did. We could have it
that a thousand and thousand or whatever years ago, the lands
used to be combined, but after a long war, it split up the lands into four
elements to stop the war. (or something like that). There could be a
stone tablet (hahaha) that states the land could become one again
if the four elements become 'one'. So the parents think by marrying them,
they would become 'one'. They are doing it because each of the four elements'
lands are dying and the only way to keep it from dying (also stated in the
stone tablet, hahah) is to make the four lands WHOLE again.

So hence why there is marriage in the first place. 8 D LMAO
