Well, since you have such a dark background, lighter text works better.
The stark contrast actually aids in reading rather than hindering it
Now if the background were lighter then it would be blinding
But that one you showed me, no. C:
Also, think about using colors that are in the graphic for your text
You want something that's complimenting and ties in
The colors you chose were alright, but they didn't seem fit the color
scheme you set for yourself
