The book closes; The book opens. Within itself, Wonderland reverberates with the feeling that something has drastically changed. Things are different - but how... well, there is no clear cut way of saying. That is not, after all, the way of Wonderland. It, and its inhabitants, do not bother to define themselves.
The only one to do that had been the girl child Alice - and her definition was that they were quite strange. But perhaps now she would say they've gotten even stranger....
For, you see, she has returned. The return of Alicze has brought all of Wonderland to an uproar. Things don't seem to be like they used to. Some of them have started to remember things that don't make much sense. And the Red Queen, in the Heart of Wonderland, has ordered the child's blood fair game to all loyal subjects.
Now the cards shuffle, the deck turns, and out deals the hand. The gears of Wonderland suddenly reverse...

The return of the child Alicze seems to have brought much more than just another murderous outburst of temper from the Queen. A strange level of humanity seems to have been visited upon the inhabitants of Wonderland, and their madness. It's not that things are beginning make sense. No, now they're beginning to make even less. Before, you see, there weren't these nagging questions...

As for Alicze... well, she just wants to find a way home. Nothing new there... but it seems maybe she may be of some help in what has wronged - or righted - Wonderland...

The Rules of the Game

◘ Creator of the RP = God = Me. Not that I'm going to go smiting you, or anything. But I am the Omnipresent Force in the RP that can do things like change the weather, drastically alter the plot, pull a Deus ex Machina. Last time I checked, I didn't have a pantheon, so I'm the only one in the RP to weild this magical prowess. Mock the gods, and then you might get smited. No, that's not a word and I don't care.
◘ Don't make it personal. Don't be a drama llama. Play nice with your fellow RPers, myself included. If I don't accept you into the RP, don't take it personally. Don't ask me why. 'Why' is my prerogative. It's my RP. But unless you make it personal, you're perfectly free to stick around the OOC and chat.
◘ Read. Everything. On the first page. Know what's going on before you jump in. Not asking you to read pages, but just, you know, the general scenario.
◘ PM ME YOUR PROFILE. Don't post it in the OOC Thread. Hokay?
◘ This. is. YAOI. So when you send me your profile, I don't wanna see boobs. You can have female minor/side characters, but those ones don't need profiles. And I don't want to see your RPing a side character more than a main character.
◘ On that note... Mana_Misery will be an exception to the above rule. Why? Because she's awesome and I said so.
◘ Keep it PG - 13. Romance happens. Smut, however, will not be happening in this thread. I'll also be really, really annoyed if you automatically pair off and ignore the plot. If it happens, work it in. Try not to do Love at First Sight. Romance isn't the priority here.
◘ SEMI. LIT at the least. No offense, but I might be very picky about this. I'm not looking for novella posts, though they definitely won't count against you. Write well, concisely or excessively, and keep the plot going.
◘ Keep posting. Don't join the RP and then leave. Don't make one long intro post, then leave. Don't join the RP if you're going to disappear. Don't join the RP if you have tendencies to disappear. If you're character is vital to the RP, don't disappear. I accept the fact that Real Life gets in the way. I also accept short paragraphs as a form of post.
◘ There is no "order" to posting. Because I think those slow the RP, especially if people disappear. Something happens, you start writing, and someone posts first? Well, alter your post. I don't care how brilliantly you would've reacted. But I reserve first post.
◘ Sparklies. AKA Post formats. are not required. Generally, they kind of annoy me. And if you make a really, big obnoxious one I'mma ask you to tone it down. But we all find ourselves giving into peer pressure, myself included...

Curious, cunning, lying Alicze... somehow, he's found his way into Wonderland. Oh, Alize knows the stories they tell. Some of which, though the child tried to listen impartially, are quite mad. There are those who attest that he walked through so mirror - others that he fell right out of the sky. But how he got here, he has decided, is not the priority. What is important is figuring how to get out. And that is turning out to be far harder than getting in...
It all started with a rabbit hole.
What he was doing regarding a rabbit hole, Alize cannot quite say. It was no doubt very important. The child had been much praised on his ingeniuty, and was also remarked to be quite clever, so he would guess that it must have not been a normal rabbit hole. So it was that rabbit's fault!
How to get home? To follow the rabbit? Or, as some he's come across have suggested, go to The Red Queen? Alize doesn't seem able to quite make up his mind. In fact, the boy seems far too mercurial, and maybe far too clever, for his own good. The fact that he may be in danger, at least, hasn't yet seemed to cross his mind...

Late late late. Why are you always late, you stupid thing? What is so important that you're always rushing about, but not important enough to be on time for? Or maybe the secret is that you've forgotten something and you know it...
Poor you. You just don't know what to do with yourself lately, do you? With The Red Queen drawing deep into Heart Castle, those precious orders have ceased. You're at your wit's end, you really are. What are you to do, with nothing to do, and your frantic running ceased, and all you've been running from catching up with you...

The strangest creature to ever grace this world, or rather the real world. Being a cat one would expect Dinah to have the grace, poise and elegance to pair up with an innocent exterior and a soft demeanor. But you could be oh-so wrong about what lurks beneath the surface.This was Dinah, the fiery red head with swirling blue optics that not only seemed playful but seemed very bitter and harsh at the same time. Those eyes were all but playful the day she had followed Alize down to the mysterious place against better judgment.
Was she mentally insane to go on with this catastrophe? Or was Dinah just another innocent bystander that happened to fall prey to Alize's shenanigans. To humor her dear friend was one thing, but to do it willingly and without critique was another.
What comes up, must come down right? wrong.Wrong.WRONG She went down and fell upside down. Dinah was nothing but vindictive and pessimistic about the whole Rabbit whole escapade but yet her nurturing and sweet nature pulled her in and now she was trapped following her dear friend Alize through the Rabbit Hole. She didn't belong here, he didn't belong here. And from what she collected no one should be living there. A topsy-turvy world filled with perils with every misguided step they'd take. Of course even though against her will she couldn't let her friend get into trouble alone, so it was find the White Rabbit or die trying.

Something is horribly wrong with Wonderland. You've put your finger on it in a way no one else can. Because you can sum it succinctly: today, it's no one's UnBirthday. But logic dictates that if it's no one's unbirthday, it must be someone's birthday... except, well, it's not. And that's quite disturbing. Because when was the last time you used logic?
How nice; never to get younger, never to get older. Except now you've begun to notice that the tea is neither hot, nor cold, but lukewarm in a way that's faintly disgusting. The cakes have begun to stale in a way that makes the, crumble dryly, and stick like tasteless paste to the inside of your mouth. How long has your mad tea party been going? And why? All these presents, and no people. You're trying to remember, but you can't. Is it for you to know the answer?
Maybe that child, Alize, will be the one to tell you. But something wicked in you whispers for you to ask The Red Queen...

Is it March or is it May? Between you and the Hatter, you've lost track of all time. It just seemed to... slip through your fingers. Most things do. Strange- although you've seemed to lose track of the time (you could've sworn the Hatter once murdered it, but you aren't sure anymore), it always feels like you never have enough of it. You must hurry, hurry, hurry, and your mind flitters from one thing to the next in sublime madness. Though you don't sit at the head of the table in your tea parties, between you and the Hatter, you know you're the madder. So mad, in fact, that no one can quite understand your level of madness. You're so mad you're almost sane.
You and the Hatter. The Hatter and you, more correctly. Why have you always hung around the Hatter? Somehow, you keep one another in check. Or, you were supposed to. You've got the feeling that for some reason... that plan didn't quite work out well. What happened? You're not sure. You've got the sinking feeling, though, that you should find out...

Lazy, lazy, lazy. You should be ashamed, and in fact, you are. What time is it? What day is it? What month? You don't know. And frankly, no one bothers to ask you. No one expects anything of you. Not anymore. They've learned better. But it's not your fault. And no one exactly blames you. You're just... just so tired...
You're lucky you have The Hatter and The Hare. They look after you... don't they? They say they do. Well, they let you sleep. And they let you sing your song when you wake up. And then they let you go back to sleep. What is it they do all that time, while you're sleeping...? Oh, you're so left out. But you have only yourself to blame. Except no one blames you...
Things have begun to change, though. The tea party has come to a halt. People are talking about strange things happening. And strange things definitely are happening. For one thing, you're awake a lot more...

Mad, mad, mad. Everyone is mad here. But where is here? Only Cheshire knows anymore, because no one else seems quite sure, and Cheshire knows everything. With Wonderland going all topsy-turvy in ways no one can see, people have gotten to wondering just exactly what makes Wonderland tick. And what does Chessy say? He says there's a saying that goes: if you think about how to do something, while trying to do it, well, suddenly you're not able to do it anymore...
But when it comes to Cheshire, everyone is mad in another way. Oh, the grinning feline is definitely not the most well beloved creature in Wonderland. Quite the opposite. His mad ramblings have gotten him under the skin of more than one person. When Cheshire speaks, it usually augurs ill for someone - the innocent bystander he's talking to, or whom he's talking about. But it's not his fault. Chessy, after all, only speaks the truth...
And the Queen? Oh, the Queen cannot stand him. In fact, just for Cheshire would The Red Queen deviate from tradition, and order him skinned alive instead of beheaded.
That is, if The Red Queen could ever catch The Cheshire Cat.
But it'd be a cold day in Wonderland when anyone could.

How annoying. This whole situation, that is. You've always known what's playing out in Wonderland. You can't say how you've known it. You've just known. And always felt quite superior because of it. Really above it all, to put it bluntly. The mundane aspects of Wonderland never touched you. You, of course, would never deign enough to care.
But then that stupid child had to come and ruin it all. And that mad cat when even madder. Or maybe that was when you realized that suddenly, you couldn't know things the way you once did. And in Wonderland, you've come to realize, that is a very, very bad thing.
You knew things would be different in Wonderland - you never knew, however, that you would stop knowing why. And without that ephemeral cloud surrounding you, you're starting to realize things about yourself you're really not sure you ever wanted to know. You try to pretend you're not as hostile to it as you really are, but now you're remembering how far you've gone from being the beautiful butterfly you wanted to be...
The Red Queen will help you. You're almost sure of this, in a time when you're not really sure of anything anymore. And... if you brought the Alize child with you...

▐ The Red Queen « Played by Chibi-Flamesi
The Red Queen of Wonderland; a vain and wicked creature, residing within the heart of the Heart of Wonderland - sequestered deep within its Throne Room. The inhabitants of Wonderland say, without knowing where they heard it (mostly none having seen it themselves and those who have returning without a head to tell of it), that the inside of Heart Castle is decorated with expensive mirrors, all to feed the Queen's vanity. They speak of their monarch's beauty not with awe, but fear - for they say within the core of that gorgeous reflection is something rotten, twisted, and monstrous; something that all who see it swear is gluttoning itself off the blood of its subjects. Because the Queen seems to crave blood, and satiates the lust for it by beheading, on the whim of a volcanic temper, those unlucky servants who displease.
But as much of Wonderland has changed lately, so has the Queen. With the coming of Alize, The Red Queen has drawn deep into Heart Castle to wait, a spider monster at the the center of a mad web. Rarely is the Queen seen in person anymore. But none dare disobey the voice that beckons even as it seems to drip thick with blood. So the orders for the beheadings, and now for the blood of Alize, still come. And are hurriedly obeyed.

How To Submit A Character

◘ 1. Look over the character list. See which characters are open, or pending. If you have an idea for a character, but it's not listed, give me a PM to discuss your idea with me. But keep in mind - there is a plot for the RP. Try to stick with who's only on the list. Minor or side characters don't require any application - but if you introduce them, make sure they have some relevance to the plot.

◘ 2. Read the summary prompt. This is what I've got in mind for you character. You don't have to include everything I've written, especially not in specifics. Think of it like a guideline. But don't deviate too far from it - as in, don't come up with something the complete opposite of the summary.

◘ 3. Write your own summary blurb for you character. Three to four (short) paragraphs, size 9 font. You don't have to give them a specific name; I'd actually prefer if you stuck with the simple Wonderland names. Use the prompt summaries as your guidelines. Come up with something interesting! Impress me! Amuse me! Tra la la la la~

◘ 4. PM it to me (Chibi-Flamesi). Don't post it in the thread. I'd also prefer if you didn't show a work in progress, or anything like that. Surprise me! Also, don't send it in unless you're absolutely sure that's your complete product. I really won't be giving criticisms, or be telling you what to improve on. What you give is what you get.

◘ 5. Include a picture of your character. Only one picture is required, though you may submit multiple ones. But no more than three! It may be an actual photograph, a drawing, anime style or doodle style. The important thing is that it gives a good idea of what your character looks like. You don't have to include a little icon picture of your character for the description - I'll be taking care of that. Keep in mind, though, that it won't go up until I've made the final decision for characters.

◘ 6. In your PM, include a post sample. I'll be looking at your RP style, and just so you know, it will have a large part to due with whether or not you make it into the RP. So give me the best of what you've got! You're in competition with others, after all! For extra brownie points, or in general just to have better weight on my decision, you can submit a post in character. Again: impress me! If you do so, though, please keep in mind I want it in third person perspective. The RP will not be in first person perspective.

◘ 8. Sit back, hang out in the OOC, and wait for my response! The deliberation process will last a couple of days - no one's character will be decided until the day the RP begins, so everyone has a fair chance. Make sure you've read the story, the rules, and whatever other shenanigans I've put up. OwO ♥

♥♥♥♥ The Story So Far ♥♥♥♥

Alize Liddell arrives in Wonderland, with the companion Dinah. They begin to make their way across Wonderland, heading in the direction of Heart Castle, residence of The Red Queen, who has, known or unknown to the two, insinuated that those looking to please the Queen may make a gift of the boy's head.
Receiving only silence from the Queen, The White Rabbit makes frantic pace across Wonderland, hoping to intercept the child Alize.
At the residence of The March Hare, the aforementioned, along with The Mad Hatter and The Dormouse, have found themselves coming to an uneasy halt in their tea party. All anxious for their own reasons, they deliberate what to do.
Coming from the Flower Fields, The Caterpillar, like the Rabbit, hopes to seek out the child Alize. A recent run in with The Cheshire Cat has left The Caterpillar a little worse for the wear.
The whereabouts of The Cheshire Cat are unknown.
