my scifi idea is slowly being adopted into a huge role play within the guild. it hasn't started yet, but everything I have typed for it is posted there. I could invite you to the guild if you like, or the same ideas could be take to a 1x1 rp.

It hits me that you could have been slightly inspired by Firefly, Wall-E and maybe Ender's Game? I'm not so sure about all the 'magical' creatures, but all in all looks alright. Did you look at the RP I had tried to start once?

probably heavily inspired by firefly. wall-e and ender's game I both loved, but it's been a while since I saw them, and I wouldn't call them inspirations.

Metriod Prime was a heavy influence, however.

if you wanted to do a 1x1 adaptation, we could cut out the magic. I just like 'em.

Well, I don't know if I -recommend- it, but it's sci-fi/post-apoc'ish. *shrug*

Was thinking of Wall-E when reading about the earth being too polluted. Ender's Game when I saw "Hegemony" :p Metroid Prime though?

actually yeah, Metriod Prime. I love the style it's done in; especially the scan visor setting. I read all the lore behind the game, and I like the idea of having a computer just analyze totally alien environments to help put knowledge together. I plan on it mostly being exploration, but it's all up to the players

okay, that sounded mean-spirited. but I'm trying to repent for the noob thing. and I think copping an attitude with fangirls who rape good characters into something totally unrecognizable is justifiable. It might nor be nice, but it's better than bitching over grammar on page one.

gosh, it must have been years ago. I've always hated fanfiction running awesome stories by completely warping characters personalities, inserting their own stupid character and making crossovers to a ridiculous extent.

I mean, I remember my noobish days where I was the same, hopelessly twisted fangirl, but I grew out of that. Fan fiction is so... wrong.

I think the first time I actually felt the compulsive need to strike out against them was when I first heard of Zuko/Katara. You see, I love Mai more than reasonable, and Mai/Zuko is my favorite couple ever. it was made worse because there's actually some justification for it.

it seems pretty expansive and developed. I recognize both terminator and I-robot in there, and probably some other similar scifi influences. all things considered, it seems pretty solid, but it's not really my genre.
