name's Saku.
been floating around gaia on various accounts since '04, but I haven't done much roleplaying here and I'd like to change that. I'm in a pretty bad place in my life at the moment and need a good pick-me-up, so roleplay it is !
so I'll share some basics:
•I've been roleplaying for almost seven years now. maybe more ? god, I don't remember. @_@
•I prefer yaoi over het. this search in specific is for yaoi, so if that squicks you, my apologies.
•I'd like to play the 'uke'. this will undoubtedly turn away any great number of respondents, but... deal with it. :3c it's just a matter of comfort levels, I'm honestly not very good at playing a dominant role and I wouldn't want to give anything that I don't feel 100% pleased with. I try to give my best ! I can do the 'seke' thing, too--just, if you're expecting some total dom badass who's all like 'LET'S DIRTY ********. NOW. NO QUESTIONS.' that... that's just not happening. :< I'm sorry~
•I don't really have any sort of preference on post length: I'd much prefer quality over quantity. a comfortable length post from me runs around 500 words; though they can be longer if I'm feeling particularly wordy, or shorter if things are getting fastpaced. my sample thread is located HERE--it's incredibly sparse at the moment because I haven't really roleplayed here in almost a year, I'm not about to post up old samples, dig ?
• literacy. I'm by no means a grammar nazi, we all have our days, but if you're going to constantly mix up 'their' and 'there' we're gonna have a problem. I am also completely capable of capitalizing and punctuating like a normal human, despite the way I type outside of roleplay. it's just a taste thing.
•I have a tendency to lean toward the creepy, violent, and dark. my characters aren't KAWAII DESU CUPCAKE UKE NEKO NYA-NYAN--depending on the role, they may be naive and overly optimistic, but they'll EVOLVE as time passes. I just like playing rousing games of 'break the cutie'. watching innocent characters' fragile little minds warp is disturbingly delicious to me.
•I'd prefer to do this via thread, if that's alright. I like pretty posts, but don't feel pressured to have one if you don't ! I just enjoy making graphics.
•I also prefer anime pictures over real-life; they're easier for me to edit into what I see for my character.
•I do have a job, so I'm not online every hour of every day. I will always be sure to let you know when I'm leaving for the day/night in my last post, however !
