Make Your Case: a weekly contest
Apparently i'm just going to keep recycling decrepit old threads, as Gaia puts it, and trying to bring some of the life and community back into the AT. This was a thread originally owned by Miss Sher!ock called Make Your Case. It was such a great thread, that I decided to remake it, of course with Sher's permission. Without further adieu welcome and enjoy!
This will be your average weekly contest (but not actually weekly, knowing how lazy I can get) with a theme/inspiration for the round that whoever wants to participate in may participate in and with whichever judges care to, judge that particular round. Pretty typical, right? Except... instead of just submitting an entry and leaving it up to the judges' decision, you (and everyone else) are encouraged to advocate for (or against) the entries submitted. Furthermore, rather than a rubric, judges will come to a consensus about which avatar wins the round after listening to what others say and after discussing it themselves. This means there's no numbers at all. Just a bunch of commentary and discussion (x/10-haters rejoice!).
So come join the fun and be prepared to Make Your Case!
