The background is really fun for a Sora cosplay whee

I think it needs a bit more touch ups before you enter it.

Such as: The ears shouldn't be brown or pointy.
And maybe you could give him a calmer expression? Pleased, but not 'chibi huge'.

If you can find a more yellow/golden version of the hair, go for it, but it is otherwise fine.

The boots are fine, but if you can find black instead of white versions of them that keep the yellow, I'd go for those instead.

Maybe get rid of the ears. I get that you're trying to blend the ears with the hair, but it doesn't look too good. Maybe change the face. It's looks kind of creepy.

Love the background, and outfit. Love the layering of items.

Overall, it looks pretty good, but I don't know if it would get to top 5 or not.
