yeah, the jewel definitely helps. still, the jewel itself has a rather dark background...is there anything lighter? have you looked at mizuchi's jewel?

I really like the color schematic of sorts you have here, but the eye color and black headpiece really throw it off for me. Your face feels relatively plain, which really is not working as well. It has a rather nice start and layering, but it needs a bit more oomph.

QV & PL: You are Felora, a Spanish girl who relocated due to the war back home. With a smart mind and knowledge of grandfather's lantern craftsmanship, you managed to build quite a name for yourself in this place.

nuts and bolts - it's interesting, but altogether too simple for my taste. i don't like the way the machete and the mask stick out.

deadly gadgets - a noxious and very lethal gas, which also doubles as a smoke screen so that he can get away.

cogs and gears - this is lovely! the only thing i really don't like is the hair. it disrupts the lovely movement and silhouette of the rest of the avatar. but i really enjoy the minimalist approach to this. 9/10 (:
