Experience: I've been in a couple of contests, and this would be my third season at this one.


What do YOU look for in a tektek: Creativity, matching colors, and uncrowded avatars.
Experience: I'm just a tekteker. c:


What do YOU look for in a tektek: Clean layers, clear theme, and a pleasing shape all play into my definition of a 'good' tektek.
Experience: I have been making tekteks and avatars competitively for three years now and have judged in a few different contests over that time. I am a past winner of Redwine Remix and Pixel Pliancy among others and have been a finalist in a variety of other competitions including LMAL Revamp

ROUND 5: ART
I know what you think, surely Art cannot be a round theme in a Travel themed contest?
Last year I went on a travelling holiday, and visited each of the countries featured in this round. Normally, that would have equalled an amazing few weeks. I, however, went with my grandfather, and it turned into weeks of art gallery tours. That's where the inspiration for this round comes from. Obviously, I don't want to be as bored in this art/travel related thing as last time, so be as creative as possible!

I've split you guys into 3 groups, one for each country. Depending on what group you are placed in, you will produce a tektek that evokes the art originating from that country. It can be anything, as long as it is related to the art of your given country!

I look forward to see some real originality here! <3 Good luck to all of you. Any questions/queries quote me or pm me. If you need any deadline revisions (which I would understand) just quote/PM me.

ROUND 6: CHINESE NEW YEAR
Your task is inspired by the upcoming New Year. I could ask you to create a tektek to embody that, but that would be too easy, and doesn't incorporate travel. So you'll be going to China, to create a tektek that embodies Chinese New Year. Quite a simple one this time, no weird challenges or anything, just a simple task : )

We all love movies, right? We all love travel (mostly). So for this round, you will be tekteking a movie about a journey, travel, or an exotic place.
You guys get to choose for yourself which movie you tektek, but it must be about travel or an exotic place. Explain in your description (required) which movie you chose and how it ties into your entry.

It's great to post in this thread, the more the better. After this round, when everyone will be well and truly in this thread, we'll be able to leave that thread (which I feel pretty sad about, as sakura was the heart of this contest)
