Cheap alternatives to expensive items

One of my favorite things to do (beside sighing lustily after items I'll never have) is trying to recreate the effect with cheaper items.
For example...


is pretty close to


.. the price difference only being a couple of million gold o_o

Sometimes, the items/expressions are already pretty similar, anyway.

Peter's Youth is about 60-70k...


... while the Thief's doll is around 2.5million O_O


This look is around 50k:


While the Runcible Spoon is around 400k.


So what other cheap alternatives or look-alikes have you found??

eh, I kinda like the cheaper combo just because there's no drool, but yeah the Princess Manner is nicer all around : }

I'd forgotten that they made all those EI and premiumci eyes into gold shop styles, that was so awesome when they did that, specially since the Vivid eyes are my favorite style and one of the more pricey dolls.

There are a lot of items like that, often we call knock-offs. biggrin
Astra golden halo looks very similar to the Angelic halo and costs infinitely cheaper.

Alternatives are great, but sometimes, they're not good enough to replace the expensive items. :S For example: Dede for Lobo.

aww darnit, the makeup from the lucies doesn't cover up the mouth :C I suppose that would just be too easy stare

The Virgo Wink and the Saint Ciels did, though <3 but the reddish tone for one of them looked so wonky!
