The Battle Between: The Oni Spear & The Dual Lunar Warrior

The blades met in a swift clash of steel creating a spark in the night. The poetic scene between warriors played its melody as the pair of them skillfully slashed and rolled blocking then counter attacking. The sights of their amazing agile and tactical reflexes were only briefly reflected with the moonlight across the lake lined with bamboo.

The Lunar Warrior's axe was long and durable, while the Oni's spear was light and quick. The battle would be a match of speed verse strength in the end. But the end was far from over. The Lunar Warrior swung his heavy blade only to be briskly dodged by the Oni man. The oni countered with his spear stabbing forcibly at the warrior's heart. Holding his blade as a crutch, the warrior made use of his shin-guards. He flipped and blocked the blade with his lower calves while swinging his axe up from below at the oni. Just in time the oni dove away from the blade tumbling and regaining his balance.

The battle appeared to be never ending, until the oni decided to pull forth his final might. The Lunar warrior, as he watched carefully the movements of the oni, too called upon his hidden strength. The oni used the spirits of the dead still in this world to provide him with the power while the warrior called upon the cool rays of the moon's light.

Together they fought in this heightened state of sense until day had come. No longer did the Lunar Warrior's power sustain. He had used too much of his strength during the fight and now he would feel the negative effects. This however is not what the oni wanted.

"You've battled well at your full strength and I couldn't overcome you this night. Like the nights before and nights to come, I'll wait here in my hollowed ground for you to return and test your might." The oni muttered.

In agreement the battle between the two would have to commence another time.

Its actually cool because this fight is symbolic of the life and death spirits that the oni represents.
A full moon makes the spirits 'come alive' and its as if they are fighting the moon itself rather
than the Lunar Warrior. P:
