What layer is the Reve Rouille belt on?

I've had the 2nd evolution belt from Reve Rouille stuck on my avatar for months since I can't figure out any way to remove it besides stripping the avatar, and I don't want to lose some other items by doing that. After trying on various belts, sashes, vests, cinchers, and bodices, I can't find anything that takes the place of the RR belt and thus lets me remove it.

Anyone have an idea what layer that's considered, or what might do the trick to remove it?

Since it's already evolved beyond that, the only way to remove it is to unequip everything.

Strange! Other already-evolved items go away if I put something else on their layer (like a dress replaces the Nightmare dress). Makes me wonder if it's on some unusual layer, or a glitch when the items can be removed or not, because they aren't all behaving the same way.
