Some items simply can't be worn at the same time, unfortunately. I don't own those two items so I don't know if they are supposed to be uncompatible but it happens every so often that two certain items can't be worn at the same time due to layering.
The image you'v provided seem to be from tektek, which have a different layering and where one item doesn't disable another.
