Avatar Glitch

I've been experiencing a problem for the past few months, nothing will ever appear in the other hand of my avatar. There is a sword in my avatars other hand but for some reason it won't show up, and I've tested it with other items and they wont show up in that hand either. Am I the only one having this problem?
