She was always going to be the key to keeping the Fire Ferrets in the Championship Tournament. Whether it be through a loan to Makko or how it ended up with her father sponsoring the team she and Mako were going to meet. Plus, it shows us Mako is more like his brother than he lets on. Let Mike and Bryan do the unpredictable thing for once. Korra never laid any romantic claims on Makko she just admires his bending. It's Ikki who kept saying last week that Korra has a crush on him.

Until we know for certain how serious Makko's going to take the relationship we can't say whether or not Mike and Bryan are heading for a Makko Korra pairing. So take three huge steps backwards and calm down because it's just an animated series that you, and possibly others, are reading way too much into.
