I totally agree with you. I got some good laughs when I watched avatar. I remember a day when I was really down after I watched a few episodes of Avatar, I felt so much better.

Zuko and Toph were my favorites, with honorable mentions for Iroh and Sokka, but I wouldn't necessarily say I miss them within the context of the new series. It's totally it's own thing and the new characters are charming enough that I don't resent the absence of the characters from the first series.

I do hope Zuko will pop up at least for a little bit, but it'll be sad to see him old. Same for any of the other surviving characters of A:tLA. Especially considering that Katara didn't age well...

Does anyone know if the writes have confirmed any of the other's current stasis? I know there was some speculation about whether or not Toph was still kicking around, but I never saw anything definitive one way or the other.

im almost positive if Toph was still alive she would still be runiing the Police force. And not her daughter. And anyway Im sure, Toph is confirmed dead.

Ah, so she is a confirmed kill then, that's too bad. I don't really mess around with the official site, so I don't get the released info like that until the show mentions it or someone here says something about it.
