You know what I just noticed? When Korra destroys the contraption Tenzin first uses to try and teach her Airbending, Tenzin says it was a "2000 year old historical treasure". If it's really that old, then wouldn't that mean Air Temple Island and everything on it is most likely a similar age? Wouldn't everything on the Island be around 70 years old...? Or maybe I'm just bad at math./size]

I'm pretty sure they moved it from it's original location. Look how easily they replaced it!
