1: There are no Airbenders besides tenzin, his kids, and soon korra.
2: tenzin's too old, his kids are too young, and korra don't know it well enough
3: there'd be no corresponding airbender to even out the game
4: it'd be WAAAY too easy for an airbender to knock them off the ring.

The only flaw in your reasoning is the fact that Tenzin is too old.
He isn't too old, he would be able to compete if he wanted to.

If I'm correct, Tenzin is 51.
Much too old for this kind of sport.

Not old physically, older in the sense that:
a) he's beyond the age to be bending for solely entertainment sake
b) I wouldn't be surprised if there was an age cap for Probending as well
c) I doubt he'd appeal to the majority of the crowd.

In the last episode The Fire Ferrets went up against the more aged benders, not sure there is an actual age gap. But, I'd doubt the older ones would get very far unless they were like Bumi haha.

hah, I agree. He may be a little more hot headed than the original air benders, thanks to Katara. But, he is a monk nevertheless.

Lol I agree he's more hot headed, I think it's mainly because he lacked a set and separated monk setting like how the monks had the air temple. So he's more urbanized and fused with society.
And of course Katara too haha.

But. Not appeal to the majority of the crowd? Baby, Tenzin would appeal to everybody in that crowd. And I don't mean just by being awesome. I think they'd all be too 'busy' to even pay attention to the match.

I mean come on the first one was called "Avatar the LAST Airbender" for a reason.

Only one out of Aang and Katara's children is an Airbender. And he has three small children who are... Like everyone else has said... Kind of makes since that there wouldn't be any in pro bending.

As some have mentioned, I belive there are no air benders in Probending because there are so little of them. The air benders were all but wiped out by the fire nation in the first series. Air benders need time to repopulate.
Besides, I think that if air benders were in Probending, there would be to many one-hit-knockouts. Just a huge gust of wind to blow the entire opposing team off the arena would do it. That would get boring, fast.

When probending was made, Tenzin was the only master airbender. If there was only one airbender then what would all the teams do. That is the reason why. mrgreen mrgreen

There are kinda 4 (soon to be 5) airbenders in the world atm. Only 1 is a master. There just isn't anyone to airbend. It's true they probably wouldn't join in even if they had the numbers because they're so peaceful. But to be honest there just isn't anyone to do it

Well one reason is that there isn't enough of them. I'm assuming the only airbenders are Tenzin, and his 3 (soon to be four) kids. And there's how many teams in pro bending? Yeaah... exactly.
