avatar and their powers were passed down. BUT, they both have their own
personalities. They're souls are different, as they were from the avatars in the
past. Aang was more controlled and calm, Korra seems more hot-headed and
impulsive than Aang ever was. They are totally different. emotion_awesome

They have the same soul thank you. stare I do agree they both have their own different personalities but they both have the same soul. I believe you got the two confused. But I love my little Aangy more than Korra even though she is growing on me. That last episode tore me up.

have this completely wrong. But, if they Avatar were to reincarnate, wouldn't the
Avatar display a similar personality in each of their lives?

It may be written somewhere, so I really could be completely wrong, but if the
Avatar had reincarnated from Aang to Korra, wouldn't their personalities have
been some what similar? That's what reincarnation is all about. You display similar
personality traits in all of your lives. But Aang and Korra are completely different.

So, it's my theory that only the power of the Avatar is reborn into these new souls. emotion_bigheart

Like I said, someone may have wrote down how the actual reincarnation process
works for the Avatar, but this is my theory and until I actually go out and read
about it, I'm sticking to it. emotion_awesome
