Is the show good?

For me, it's a great show. But like someone else here already said, it what you like and not like. You should just watch it and see for yourself.

Lolnope. She's originally a water bender, but knows fire and earth as well (cuz ya know, avatar stuff ) and she's learning air.

It's fantastic. I'm a long time fan of the old series and I adore it. It's actually slightly darker at times in comparison to the old one, I think they upped the target age. I recommend it. Whatever corniness you were warned about was done on purpose. The creators wanted to give it a bit of the cheesy teen romance vibe, but at the same time it has refreshing twists as far as the characters go.
