Although, I think it is mainly because he started out as an antagonist, so naturally he had to lose to Aang all the time. Otherwise he would have captured the Avatar and the story would have taken a wildly different turn...

Then he gets overshadowed by Azula as an antagonist, and to show how much more of threat she is she beats him in pretty much every fight they have.

And then even when he joins the gaang he gets taken out by combustion man xD
And Azula, again.

So yeah, his track record in winning fights is terrible.

I HATE MAKO . good lord. i love the firelord grandson... i miss zuko .

we didn't get enough of Iroh II in Book 2! D': At the end of Book 1 i thought he was going to become part of the main cast.... now that Zuko reappeared i hope he joins the party ): i will be disappointed if he doesnt

I don't think it far-fetched that Korra and Iroh II could have a love interest brewing...might not happen, but she seems to have a thing for Fire benders...lol
